00:00I, contrary to what you guys all believe, I don't like losing my mind on stuff.
00:04We got more college basketball coming up at 745.
00:07There's a weird thing going on about Ohio State fans and just how in tune they are to
00:11Ohio State basketball.
00:13John Phan is going to join us at eight.
00:15He's one of the gems of Cleveland.
00:16I absolutely love him.
00:18Daryl is in for tone today.
00:19So I lost my mind yesterday.
00:21I'm probably going to cringe through this audio.
00:22Owen is going to play this audio for you.
00:24This is a little, just a little bit of it because it was a long cringey point.
00:29A little sampling.
00:31All righty.
00:32This is about what was discussed two days ago on the radio station.
00:37Somehow Jalen Hurts got brought up.
00:39Oh, because Joe Giglio of 94 Sports Radio WIP in Philadelphia had brought up potential trades
00:48during the season.
00:49I mean, that's how crazy they get in Philadelphia about Jalen Hurts.
00:52And they discussed it and I just got mad.
00:56So here we go.
00:57Why the hell would you put Tanner McKee on the trade block, apparently, quote unquote,
01:02if you were going to start him over Jalen Hurts, who somehow we would give up a six overall.
01:06It's not a real.
01:07This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard in the history of the station.
01:10I ain't yelling at you.
01:11This is dumb.
01:12This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
01:14And he knows it.
01:15That's why he's hiding because he's laughing at me because he knows I've lost my mind over
01:18this.
01:19Of all the stupid things that have been said on these airwaves in 14 years, this is easily
01:24the most recent, I still love you less.
01:27Second of all, it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
01:29We have lost our minds.
01:31We have literally taken the bottom lip and wrapped it over our heads now.
01:36And we are suffocating for air.
01:40I don't like losing my mind like that.
01:42Everybody thinks I do.
01:43The pulling the lip over your face line was pretty good.
01:49So I just want what I think is best for.
01:53And it's not even, guys, I don't, I'll just be honest with you.
01:57I'll take the headphones off if you want me to.
01:58I'll talk fan to fan.
02:00I don't think any of these quarterbacks are going to be the quarterback for you in 2027.
02:04I don't, I don't, I, it doesn't mean I don't think what, what is fair is fair.
02:11And I thought it was a ridiculous thing that they did with basically everybody, not just
02:15Shador, but everybody last year that was asinine for quarterbacks and all these other wide receivers
02:21that you couldn't even find reps for.
02:23He's throwing a ball boys.
02:25Ask Daryl about it.
02:26You had this, this weird dog and pony show about Dylan Gabriel, which Dylan or Daryl took
02:32hell for, I was one of the people to give Daryl hell for it.
02:34Daryl ended up being right about, I mean, I got the headphones off right now, so I don't
02:37even know what you're playing on the air.
02:38I just, I want to talk to everybody basically flat out is that I've been called a lot of
02:44things just because I don't want any of these other quarterbacks.
02:47And my issue is, is that I don't want them to go any further into the hole trying to dig
02:54out of this problem.
02:56That's my thing.
02:57I am desperately trying to get them, it just how I see it, even though they ain't going
03:02to do what I tell them to do on the right track.
03:04That's all I'm trying to get them to do.
03:06And I am reactionary and nasty even about all this, about all these other quarterbacks
03:15where all it's been is this parade of losers that we keep getting brought up that are somehow
03:24going to take this team and make them palatable in 2026.
03:29And I don't believe any of it.
03:31There are a couple of guys that I might be open mind.
03:34I've gotten so tired of talking about these guys and hearing about, well, Kenny, Sam Darnold,
03:39Kenny, Baker Mayfield, Kenny, this guy and that guy go, yeah, they went to competent organizations.
03:43They went to, they went to teams that had some talent on offense.
03:45They can compete now.
03:47Now, I didn't want to be as mean-spirited as I was yesterday, okay?
03:52I heard what Nick had said and my one big disagreement, and we're just going to disagree about this.
04:01I'm not going to go any further.
04:02I'm not going to get nasty about it, all right?
04:04I love Nick.
04:05I love Jonathan.
04:06I mean that sincerely.
04:10Words get away from us at times.
04:12Mean-spiritedness gets away from us.
04:13Time to make a point.
04:16What I disagree with the most, Daryl, is Nick thinks there's talent outside the quarterback room.
04:21I do not.
04:23I don't.
04:23I think that they're so devoid of talent on that side of the ball, it boggles my mind.
04:28And I think Andrew Barry has a higher opinion of the players that he brought in on that side of
04:33the ball
04:34than the rest of the National Football League does.
04:36So the defense is great.
04:38The defense, I think, is a defense that can play in an AFC Championship game.
04:42And I know I'm thinking the same thing.
04:44By the time you get the offense figured out, now your defense is going to have problems.
04:47Yep.
04:47Guys, I totally understand that.
04:49But when you've done what you've done on the offense, I've got to see it before I believe it.
04:52All right?
04:53There's a lot of questions left out there with this offensive line.
04:57Your best wide receiver is Jerry Judy.
04:59He was a malcontent last year.
05:00Let's call it what it was.
05:02Isaiah Bond knows how to run one route right now.
05:04You have Harold Fannin Jr.
05:06Okay, well, it's going to be easy to box him out and take that away.
05:08When Quinchot Junkins was on the field, they knew you were handing the ball off.
05:13Now, hopefully that will change with Todd Munkin to some degree.
05:16But Todd Munkin isn't a wizard.
05:18So I have to look at the QB room and be honest with myself and go,
05:21are we just giving up more assets for these guys who, one, might not be able to handle the lack
05:28of talent that we have here
05:30because they went to situations that had more talent, and two, I cannot stress this enough,
05:35don't want to play for us.
05:38They don't want to do it.
05:40I'm already seeing it with the people on Twitter.
05:42Nate Copley, Ken, we've seen enough proof with all these other quarterbacks and all these systems.
05:46Yeah, and they don't want to play for you.
05:48They didn't want to be here.
05:50Kyler Murray, you weren't even a thought.
05:52Any of these other guys, Tua Tungavailoa, you weren't even a thought.
05:55You weren't even a consideration for Malik Willis.
05:57And we spent weeks arguing about Malik Willis.
06:00And every person reaches their point where I'm going, guys, we have to face the reality of the situation.
06:06It's gotten so crazy.
06:08I'm willing to, because I don't want to say nasty things about Ty Simpson.
06:11Personally, there's a lot of things to like, but I don't think that he would excel in this situation.
06:15And if we can get Ty on or we can get somebody from Alabama on, first question I'm going to
06:19ask him is,
06:20how do you convince me that you're the one that stops my losing of my mind slowly as a Browns
06:27fan?
06:27How are you the one to raise this organization up the prominence of what it should be for its fan
06:32base?
06:32And I think that a lot of people are thinking desperately about this because I've got to put myself in
06:38this situation.
06:39I have a long memory.
06:41And I go back to 2021.
06:43If you guys were me, you'd be saying the same thing.
06:46If you guys were sitting there in October of 2021, and Daryl, you're jumping in.
06:51Lyman would remember this.
06:52Owen definitely remembers this.
06:53And we're hearing some of the rumors about Houston.
06:56And Lyman's like, oh man, he'd be really, really good.
06:59He'd be really good.
07:00And I'm going, yeah, I don't know if I want to get into that business.
07:02I don't really know if I want to have that conversation with the fans about everything like that.
07:06And then having to have that conversation.
07:08And then not wanting to make that trade.
07:10And having everything happen.
07:12And having to have all those different conversations.
07:14And having the fan base basically give up on him from a time or two.
07:18Except when he wasn't playing for the football team.
07:21And having all that play out.
07:22Can I just get somebody who I believe is going to give me a chance.
07:27To even if they're not good in 2027 or 2028.
07:32That we could have normal conversations about.
07:35Can we have normal conversations about how to take care of him?
07:38Can I have normal conversations about how does he take that next step?
07:42Can I have normal conversations about a quarterback that the entire fan base wants to like?
07:46Damn it, this is why I like to have conversations about Jadour.
07:49Because there are people who like him.
07:51And guys, I cannot stress this enough.
07:53I do not believe right now that anybody in this quarterback room.
07:57The odds are against them to play in 2027 for this franchise.
08:04So, I'm stuck.
08:06And I think we're stuck.
08:07And it's frustrating.
08:09Because I think I'm the only one seeing it.
08:10And I'm looking at the Eagles going,
08:12Why would they take our number six overall pick?
08:14And give up Jalen Hurts.
08:16When they're in a Super Bowl window.
08:18A real Super Bowl window.
08:19Not one we make fun of.
08:21And 1-1 with them.
08:22Yes.
08:23They're bringing back Landon Dickerson.
08:25What?
08:25But Tanner McKee's on.
08:27So what?
08:27Andy Dalton's going to lead them to the playoffs in the Super Bowl?
08:31This is why I lost my mind yesterday.
08:35I am sick and tired.
08:38It's been months of these inane conversations.
08:42And I see some of the other messages.
08:44And I see the emails.
08:46And I agree.
08:46But every time we talk Cavs, by the way, people get really nasty and mean-spirited about them.
08:52Guardians aren't ready to play.
08:53I'll put my headphones back on.
08:55Guardians aren't ready to play yet.
08:56We got college basketball.
08:57Hell, I love that.
08:58But all these conversations come back to all these other quarterbacks that ain't no one interested in.
09:02Yesterday, it was J.J. McCarthy.
09:04Fine.
09:04Fire it up.
09:05Do you want J.J. McCarthy?
09:06No.
09:06You don't want J.J. McCarthy, for the love of God.
09:09Kevin O'Connell's his quarterback coach, his head coach.
09:11And they couldn't get it done.
09:12And he seems afraid of his own shadow.
09:14And yeah, we're going to be the team to fix him.
09:16Yeah.
09:16Sure.
09:17Got it.
09:18Yeah.
09:18Kevin O'Connell.
09:19Good head coach.
09:20Good quarterback coach.
09:22You have a general manager who just got fired who's just a couple of notches analytically below us
09:27in far of the moves that he made with the Minnesota Vikings.
09:31But we're going to be the ones to fix J.J. McCarthy.
09:34Please, get ready to sit, dig in the hole and sit in the hole.
09:37Because that's what we're going to be doing in 2026.
09:39Well, that's what they're doing right now in Brook Park.
09:41Well, fair enough.
09:43I'm not trying to sell you guys on 2029 or any of that other stuff.
09:47I'd like to get to 2027.
09:48I'd like to see where it is.
09:50I'm just trying to be as honest as I possibly can.
09:52And to me, a lot of these conversations, we have these conversations,
09:56but if I was sitting next to you guys at a bar, I'd be saying the same damn thing I'm
10:01saying right now.
10:03Sorry.
10:04Did that make any sense, Owen, Daryl?
10:07Yeah, it is.
10:09This is the residue of 42 different starting quarterbacks since 99.
10:14This is the residue of a franchise that we've had to watch score at least 20 points in a season,
10:25average 20 points in a season, just eight times.
10:28Eight times in 27 years.
10:31Four of those were under Kevin Stefanski.
10:33And a couple of those years were pretty painful to watch.
10:39The incompetence has been staggering, and I'm accused of always hating on the Browns.
10:47And it's, no, I'm just telling you the way it is, okay?
10:49And the reality is, if you're counting on them to fix somebody, you're dreaming right now.
10:57They're incapable of fixing someone.
10:59You need somebody coming in here who's already fixed.
11:01I understand, like, should we do everything right now to upgrade the QB room?
11:05Because there's a lot of people going, Kenny, I mean, good God, do you not see the problem that we
11:09have here,
11:09and you're just sitting there saying, let's go into it?
11:11And I'm going, yeah, because I don't, one, you've got to get guys to want to play for you
11:15when it came to free agency, when it comes to trades, and things like that.
11:18The other part of it is, is that I don't want you to make a bunch of mistakes.
11:23And the other thing is with it, Daryl, like, I talk to a lot of fans.
11:27It's, every time we do this, I'm like, guys, you don't talk to as many fans as I do.
11:32I talk to a lot of fans out and about every damn day.
11:36And you want to talk about, you want to talk about the pressing.
11:42Is 2022, 2023, there was a little glimpse.
11:4624 and 25, you know, guys talking about not giving, not doing the season tickets,
11:52not wanting to go to the stadium anymore.
11:55You know, the nastiness when it comes to it.
11:57And I, you know, I mean, there's been times I've been almost dressed down,
12:01like I'm the general manager of the football team.
12:03And these are my friends.
12:05And I talk to people every damn day.
12:07I mean, hell, it got brought, it got brought up, my kids' third grade play on Wednesday.
12:13And I don't complain about it.
12:15It sounds like I'm complaining about it.
12:17But what I'm saying is, is that your failure is brought up every single day.
12:23They're thinking about you.
12:25They want you to be better.
12:27Yes.
12:28And I think they're willing to be patient to some degree.
12:31Maybe we just do it this because they're tired of the watch.
12:33They don't want the guy to play.
12:34I'm stunned fans still care this much.
12:36I really am.
12:37After everything that has happened since this franchise has come back,
12:41from ownership to the GMs to the coaches to all the off-the-field circuses,
12:46the quarterback carousel that's stopped briefly for the couple years that Baker was here, right?
12:52We got a 53-game respite from that nonsense, okay?
12:57Yeah.
12:57And a little glimmer of hope.
13:00Going 1-31, 4-44 under the guise of, hey,
13:04going to build this the right way through the draft, build a sustained winner.
13:08All you got out of all that, you got one playoff win in Miles Garrett,
13:12who at one point last year took a blowtorch to you in front of every camera and microphone
13:17he could find on Radio Row at the Super Bowl.
13:21It was like, these clowns don't know what they're doing in Cleveland.
13:23I want out of there as fast as possible.
13:26So the Browns did what they always do, and that is they opened up Jimmy Haslam's checkbook,
13:30and they threw $40 million a year at Miles.
13:33And now we're into another off-season where you got every national podcast and talk show
13:39talking about, oh, Miles Garrett, trade him to the Bears.
13:41Trade him to this team.
13:42Trade him to that team.
13:43And it just doesn't even make sense from a fiscal salary cap standpoint.
13:49But guess what?
13:49It's a great talking point, right?
13:51Well, as long as you're bad, they're going to bring it up.
13:53Right.
13:55And I've got the sheet in front of me.
13:56You know, you're talking about reclamation projects.
13:59I don't know.
13:59Should we go down the Trent Dofer Road?
14:02Should we bring in the next Jeff Garcia to come in here?
14:05Because, you know, that works so well for the Browns.
14:07Oh, how about our homie Jake DeLome?
14:09Should we bring him back?
14:10There's someone like him?
14:11Well, that was a day.
14:13RG3.
14:13Hey, he made the earth move during his workout out in Berea.
14:16Remember those days?
14:17Oh, those were good times.
14:19Like, I mean, so I would rather, seeing what the situation is,
14:26and like you can, I call it the way I see it, okay?
14:31I would just rather see if Shador Sanders can do this thing.
14:34I do see some upside there.
14:36There's a lot of polish that has to happen with that kid's game, okay?
14:40But he got a crash course in the National Football League last year.
14:43He was asked and expected to do a lot of stuff he was never asked to do by his own
14:48dad,
14:49who is an NFL Hall of Famer, okay?
14:51We're talking team meetings.
14:53We're talking film study.
14:55We're talking game planning and prep.
14:58And look, him going off to, you know, the football fields around the area
15:03and doing his own workouts during the season because he wasn't getting a lot of reps and whatnot.
15:07All great.
15:09All well and good.
15:10But now he knows going in with Todd Munkin what's expected of him.
15:14Todd Munkin, I mean, the Browns, one of the first videos the Browns put out with Todd Munkin
15:18was him, you know, giving Shador Sanders the hug and say,
15:20hey, we won trade for you in Baltimore.
15:22Or we won draft you, I should say, in Baltimore.
15:25In the fifth round there.
15:28When we say this, you know, we also have to claim a responsibility for it.
15:32So I thought about this even on the drive-in because I've been thinking about this since yesterday
15:36and everything that comes with it.
15:38Is that, again, when you have the conversations that we've had over the last five years,
15:43I know the Browns fans are done with the guy who's going to back up Shador Sanders.
15:47They don't want to play him.
15:48I don't think the Browns really want to play him.
15:50I think that we're going to do everything they can to make sure that Shador's almost handed the job.
15:54And if he can't handle the job, then it's going to...
15:58Then you have your answer.
15:59I want Todd Munkin to make the best decision for the football team.
16:02So if it does come down to Deshaun Watson, I'm going to deal with it.
16:05I want him to make the best decision for the players.
16:07Because you've got to let your head coach be the head coach.
16:09But I think there's going to be a lot of things there that they are going to do what they
16:13can
16:14to make sure Shador Sanders gets every opportunity to win this job coming up this year.
16:19And with that all being pointed out, because I'd rather have conversations about Shador
16:22and fights about Shador and online, all that other crap,
16:25than I would ever have with the last four or five years,
16:28anything we had with Deshaun Watson where people just felt downtrodden about the team,
16:32didn't even like him, and there was a gray sky that's just always above you.
16:37That pointed out, I am ready for what comes.
16:40So if he goes out there, sucks up the room, I don't want him to,
16:45but if he goes out there and is throwing bad interceptions,
16:47and doesn't have control of the offense, and they're bad, and he's bad.
16:50He's running like a chicken with his head cut off in the backfield.
16:54Guys, I promise you, I'm ready for the calls.
16:57You want to call in and say, Kenny, this is what you wanted?
16:59That's fine.
17:00Now I'm going to ask you what you wanted, and if you say you wanted Kyler Murray,
17:03I'm just going to look you in the eye and go, he wasn't coming here,
17:06he didn't want to be a party.
17:07But either way, I'll tell you this, if we end up in a situation,
17:12because people are bringing up Jackson Dart and people are bringing up Tyler Shook
17:14to meet great points, if Ty Simpson ends up somewhere and he's kicking ass
17:20and taking names, I will wear that embarrassment every morning on the air this year.
17:24I go back to Josh Allen, because remember all the criticisms that came out
17:30with Josh Allen during that draft period, right?
17:32Yeah.
17:33Hell, we had his quarterback coach on, and we still did one.
17:37Right.
17:37It took him two to three seasons in Buffalo to become the player that he is now, right?
17:43And now the knock on him is, well, he can't get the Bills to the Super Bowl.
17:47You know what?
17:48It's the same thing I say about the Cavs.
17:50I would rather fight over that, okay?
17:52I would rather fight over what it's going to take to get the Browns to the Super Bowl
17:57than this nonsense that we talk about pretty much on an annual basis every offseason.
18:05It's how to fix the quarterback, how to find the guy,
18:09how to make something out of the slop that you currently have to work with.
18:14And it's exhausting.
18:16It really is.
18:17Because it never leads anywhere, Ken.
18:20I'm prepared for what comes.
18:21I mean, it's a vicious circle with this franchise.
18:26I am totally prepared for what comes.
18:27And, you know, I heard what Nick said yesterday about my Todd Munkin theory,
18:32and I respect his opinion on that.
18:34Listen, I just was trying to give my view of the big picture.
18:39If Todd wins the games that they lost last year, he'll be here the following year.
18:46And if they take a step forward from that, guess what?
18:49He'll get a third year.
18:50But if they don't continue to take steps forward, we know how this ownership operates.
18:56They're trying to sell suites, PSLs to this new stadium in Brook Park where they're asking for boatloads of money
19:05from their fans.
19:06I got text messages in my phone.
19:07You talk to fans?
19:08I talk to fans of angry season ticket holders.
19:12Who talks to more fans?
19:132-1-6-4-7.
19:14You do.
19:15Obviously, you do.
19:16We all know you're Mr. Cleveland.
19:19Oh, do we have now?
19:21You turn it against me here.
19:22No, I'm not turning against you.
19:23That's a compliment.
19:25Doesn't look like it.
19:26I can see it on your face.
19:27No, it's a compliment.
19:28You're Mr. Cleveland.
19:29He's on YouTube live right now.
19:30Owen, what do you think you're seeing over here?
19:32Are you seeing sarcasm?
19:34I think he's dubbed you a moniker that will live on for the rest of your time on the radio
19:41in Cleveland.
19:43The look on Ken's face right now is priceless.
19:46Mr. Cleveland.
19:48I see both of you in hell.
19:492-1-6-4-7-4-0-0-92.
19:52But again, I'll just say it.
19:54I'm ready for what comes.
19:56Because I want to take this one call here.
19:58I'm going to get to the calls, but I want to take especially.
20:00He's buried on the line.
20:02I want to put him to the top.
20:03Chuck and Amherst.
20:04Because I think he's going to take it to a place I want to take it.
20:05Go ahead, Chuck.
20:07Yo, what's up, y'all?
20:08Hi, Chuck.
20:08Go ahead.
20:09Excuse me.
20:10Hello, Chuck.
20:12Hi.
20:12I called in last week because it was kind of depressing.
20:15I'm not trying to be depressing.
20:17When I was saying it, it was like, what happened?
20:20So, I used to love the show.
20:22I like the show now.
20:23Ever since we got all this media attention from here to Shedoria, you guys have been nervous wrecks.
20:31I mean, Ken used to be the dog of the show.
20:33What happened, man?
20:34You know, it's like you can't enjoy football no more.
20:37It's always a dark cloud.
20:39We got something.
20:41We got a great defense.
20:43I'm 47 years old.
20:44The Browns have been bad ever since I was young.
20:47Okay.
20:47We didn't let people talk stuff about our team, talk smack.
20:50We defended them no matter what.
20:52What the hell is going on, man?
20:54What's there to defend?
20:55Hold on, hold on.
20:56Chuck, do you want me to lie to you?
21:00Do you want me to lie?
21:01I mean, we got a football team.
21:02We made moves.
21:03Why are we so emotional about everything?
21:05What did I say?
21:06Hold on, hold on, hold on.
21:08If you want a lie and you want a pep talk, all you had to do was ask.
21:11I'll give you a lie and a pep talk.
21:12We'll fire up the Michael Stanley right now.
21:14You want the truth?
21:15I'll give you the truth.
21:16I think that people appreciate the truth, and they know damn well that I want this team
21:20to do well here.
21:21That's what I want.
21:22What do you mean?
21:23What do you want?
21:24How is being an eight-win team over the last two years my...
21:27That's our kicker, right?
21:29Yeah.
21:29You're good.
21:30I'm glad that we got a guy that's willing to go out and spend money, but what I'm saying
21:34is that this is what I want to say.
21:37I've never argued with him about spending money.
21:39I mean, he'll spend himself into the poorhouse for this team to win.
21:44They like $320 million a year on fire every year.
21:47Yeah, that's fine.
21:47We have nothing good to say about the Browns.
21:50No, we have plenty of good things to say about the Browns.
21:52No, Chuck, I disagree.
21:53Chuck, I...
21:55No, no, no, no.
21:58That's a lie.
21:59All right, you are lying to yourself.
22:00Say something good about the Browns then, Ken.
22:02I'll say...
22:03Top three things to say good about the Browns right now.
22:06Chuck, thank you very much for the call.
22:07Here we go.
22:08Number one, you have an AFC Championship defense.
22:12That defense could play in the AFC Championship game today.
22:16That's one.
22:16You have a Hall of Fame defensive end.
22:19First ballot.
22:19The same thing.
22:20Oh, just because he's on the defense?
22:22Yep.
22:23You have an owner that's willing to spend himself into the poor house to make this team better.
22:27Really has helped them and made it more positive around here.
22:32Number three, I think you might have a kicker for the first time in a long time.
22:36And here we are, Classic Cleveland.
22:38What?
22:39The kicker, one of the top stars on the team.
22:42But to say we had a bunch of fun, I don't know.
22:44Go back to...
22:45You know what, Ken?
22:46Go back to...
22:46You're right.
22:47Yeah, Chuck says it used to be that way.
22:48No, Chuck's full of it.
22:49Go back to 28.
22:50Hell yeah, we got that kicker!
22:52Go back to 2019.
22:54Our long nightmare is over.
22:56We got that kicker, guys.
23:00Hey, you're going to be happy when he buries one and we win another game.
23:03The guy you wanted to cut after week one.
23:05And again, you know what?
23:07And I've said it before.
23:08Guess what?
23:09He missed it.
23:09Ken Carman.
23:11And I've said it before and I'll say it again.
23:13You can call me stupid.
23:15You can't call me a liar.
23:16Okay, stupid.
23:17Two things.
23:19You can call me stupid.
23:20And that was stupid.
23:22You can call me dumb.
23:24That was dumb.
23:25You can't call me a fake.
23:27That ain't true.
23:28So I've said a lot of dumb things on here.
23:31That was dumb.
23:32That was stupid.
23:32Jimmy Haslam told us after they fired Kevin Stefanski, Andre Schmidt, cornerstone of the franchise.
23:38Bravo, Andrew Barry.
23:40You guys make me want to walk out to Euclid Avenue right now and just lay down.
23:45No!
23:46Been waiting since Phil Dawson.
23:48Been waiting for the next Phil Dawson.
23:50They took that scene out of the program, Owen.
23:51I know that's where you're going.
23:54What?
23:54Those are three good things.
23:56A good kicker?
23:58Kickers lead franchises in points.
24:00Actually, I'm going to overrule all of you.
24:03And the owner wanting to spin into oblivion.
24:05The owner spinning into oblivion right now has been such a positive for this franchise.
24:11They brought you that quarterback that you were looking for.
24:14That quarterback that has helped us the last four years, right?
24:18Brought him in there.
24:20You're so happy to have Deshaun Watson.
24:21In fact, you wanted Deshaun Watson.
24:24You wanted him to go out there and spin.
24:25Hey, Owen, you wish.
24:27Whoa!
24:28Whoa!
24:29Whoa!
24:29I did not want Deshaun Watson.
24:31Oh, wait a minute.
24:32Okay.
24:32See my point now, Ken?
24:35You see my point?
24:36I don't.
24:36One of your positives was that he spins, right?
24:39Oh, okay.
24:39The biggest expense that he's had.
24:42Oh, yeah.
24:43Well, now you're giving Chuck his points.
24:45Ken, I'll let you behind the curtain of Owen.
24:47You're just negative media.
24:48I think you're in a bad spot.
24:49And I think you're just saying things to get yourself through it right now.
24:53No, I believe that.
24:54I'm not saying you're being fake.
24:55But I'm saying you're trying to talk yourself into something that isn't a reality.
24:59I've lied to myself to make myself feel better.
25:01That's, I mean, trust me.
25:03That's why I'm afraid of bathroom scales.
25:05I'm being serious about that.
25:06Like, there's definitely something wrong in your head when you're like that.
25:09Because they walk around on their twinkle toes.
25:11Yeah, but no, I am serious about that.
25:14The defense, part of the reason we're so frustrated, the reason why people are down about the team
25:19is because you have half a great team.
25:21Guys, the defense is kick-ass.
25:25And what's frustrating is like, hey, man, if the whole team sucked, there's nowhere to go but up, right?
25:31But it's exactly what it is.
25:33You're so frustrated with the offense because the defense is good.
25:37Yeah, and Ken, I talk to as many Browns fans as you do, and they are not going,
25:43well, at least we got that defense, guys.
25:45They're going, when are we going to get out of hell?
25:46Because that's where we are.
25:47So are you saying Chuck's full of it?
25:49I think a lot of people are full of it right now.
25:52The Cleveland Browns are the three-time champions, three-time defending champions,
25:57of having the most expensive payroll in the National Football League.
26:012023, 2024, 2025, and coming soon.
26:06Oh, come on.
26:072026.
26:08That's not enough.
26:09Hey, can I say, I know for a fact I'll fight everybody on and on the air.
26:14I know the owner wants to win.
26:15Can you say that about every owner?
26:17Can you say that about every owner in professional sports?
26:20You can't.
26:21Wanting to win and winning are two different things, Ken.
26:24That doesn't, I know.
26:25And you can want in one hand, and you know what the other.
26:28I know, but at least there's a want there.
26:29I got two owners in this city that have proven by far that they want to do whatever it takes
26:36to win.
26:36They may get in their own way a time or two, but they're willing to do whatever it takes
26:40to win.
26:40Two out of three owners in this city.
26:42That's two out of three more than you're willing to say about a lot of other cities.
26:45A lot of other franchises.
26:46I mean, seriously.
26:47They got Joe Burrow down there.
26:49If we had Joe Burrow, would we spare any expense?
26:51Would we uncover any, would we have a Trey Hendrickson fight from last year?
26:56Hell no, we would.
26:57There would be no debate about extending Trey Hendrickson or Jamar Chase or Tee Higgins
27:05like they had in Cincinnati.
27:07I mean, those were knockdown dragout fights they had in Cincinnati about extending those
27:11guys because the owner's so cheap down there.
27:12They're so cheap down there, they can't even practice indoors.
27:15Actually, they do.
27:16They have an inflatable now.
27:17Those are three pretty damn good things.
