03:51Folks, take a look at all these medical conditions.
03:55What does it have in common?
03:56This.
03:59I-T-I-S.
04:02But what does I-T-I-S really mean?
04:04The suffix itis denotes inflammation of a specified organ or tissue.
04:09I-T-I-S really means inflammation.
04:12How do we combat chronic inflammation?
04:13Through lifestyle changes.
04:15Then and only then.
04:17Make sure you're getting enough mega-free fatty acids.
04:19Always consult a qualified medical professional before starting any supplements.
04:24Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago.
04:38And of course, those of you who are locked on across the world, we welcome you to be on the tape.
04:42I'm your host Whitney Husbands.
04:44Now, I hope those of you, you know, had an enjoyable weekend.
04:47Those who were able to get some rest.
04:49And those who still have the Christmas chair that is in the air, that you are also safe.
04:54Now, we jumpstart a brand new week.
04:56So, that means officially we have now entered 10 days before Christmas.
05:00The countdown is getting closer before the big day.
05:03And of course, we stress more and more to persons to please take your time.
05:08We saw over the weekend a lot of RTAs that took place, shootings that took place as well.
05:13Of course, we're diving more into those.
05:14But we just want persons to understand to please be aware of your surroundings as well.
05:20Pay attention to the places that you park, cars that may be around you.
05:24Also, persons who may be popping up.
05:26Every time you go into a store, you see the same individual or individuals in the same space.
05:31Now, I'm sure that you're seeing on the screen at this time,
05:33incident that took place, from my understanding,
05:35this took place in Trinity Mall.
05:37We don't have the full details, but this is where we are asking persons to be vigilant.
05:42Be aware of your surroundings.
05:44Just because even any more persons are paying attention to you.
05:47So, if you are looking to make your way to get that perfect gift for your loved one or family members,
05:52please remember, eyes are always on you.
05:55So, keep your eyes open for those who may be watching you.
05:58Okay?
05:59Also, as well, we had some serious matters that took place in the western side of Trinidad and Tobago.
06:07Fifth Street area on Morris Street, to be exact.
06:09We will dive in more into that.
06:11But before we go any further, I must introduce my co-host, who is here with me this evening.
06:15No stranger.
06:16When it comes to our Mondays, I'd like to welcome the official captain himself,
06:21Captain Rambarat, who is here with us from the Hunter's Search and Rescue.
06:25How are you today, Captain?
06:27Thank you for that warm welcome, Whitney.
06:30A pleasant good evening to our viewership on Beyond the Tape.
06:32I had a restful weekend, but still had engagements for Hunter's Search and Rescue team to attend to.
06:40And actually, I began sorting out my gears and clothing, washing, backpack, you know, saying that, you know,
06:48I would have racked up for the year and telling my teammates, you know, we should be racking up for the year.
06:54Of course, that would not happen as I, again, dive into what's engaging our attention.
07:00But it was a restful weekend, and I agree with you, adding our voice to the fact that you have to be careful.
07:08Guard your cash carefully, your property as well, and be on the lookout because we've seen a flurry of activities,
07:16like petty thieves, trying to get what you have.
07:19So please be very careful as you shop and as you try to gather things for the festive season.
07:27Be very careful and be alert.
07:29Be alert, that is very important.
07:31Now, as I mentioned before, a few seconds ago, an incident that took place, a shooting exactly at 5th Street and Morris Street.
07:38And with this incident that took place, the gentleman is now deceased.
07:42A 22-year-old mover man was ambushed and shot dead whilst seated in a park SUV off Arpita Avenue, Woodbrook, on Sunday night,
07:52sending several people who were buying food fleeing for safety.
07:56Police said at around 8.50 p.m., Jelani George of Mova was seated in a Hyundai Crater parked outside the property grill hub located off Arpita Avenue between Fitt and Morris Street when a car stopped nearby.
08:14Two men armed with guns exited the vehicle and opened fire on the Hyundai, striking George multiple times in the chest and stomach.
08:23The assailants then sped off, leaving George fatally wounded inside the vehicle.
08:28And this is a situation we just spoke about.
08:32Yeah, but we haven't seen this type of homicide in a while where, you know, someone's life was taken in a busy strip like Arpita Avenue.
08:41And only on Friday, I believe, the commissioner was saying, you know, he congratulated the police on keeping a handle on things in the Port of Spain division.
08:51And then this crops up.
08:52So you could never really give up.
08:54You have to be alert.
08:56But, you know, we don't want to see a return to these street-type killings where a lot of people are around.
09:03It's very dangerous.
09:04And then you have some information to let us know about the police in Gwagwari.
09:07Whitney, I was talking about racking up our guests.
09:10And let me say this.
09:12We have a hunter by the name of Paul Campo.
09:15He went missing in the forest on Saturday at about 2.30 p.m.
09:19It's now past 48 hours and he has not been found.
09:24So you know who else is going there early in the morning.
09:27Now, let me say this.
09:29Gwagwari Village is a remote part of the area.
09:32Whitney, I don't know, you know, those days you learn about the three peaks in the Southern Range.
09:38That Columbus was said to have passed on his way to discover Trinidad and landed in Moruga.
09:44Well, those three sisters, that's the area he went in.
09:48It's not for the faint-hearted.
09:50It's very dense, difficult terrain.
09:54And he went there to hunt for the first time.
09:56And he got separated from his hunting pack.
09:58And he's lost.
10:00So therefore, we, persons like myself who know the area well, have to go in and try and find him.
10:06If he's not found by this time.
10:08Yes.
10:09Would you say to persons who are hiking and also hunting, they should also invest in tracking devices?
10:15Just, you know, for safety.
10:16Certainly.
10:16But you feel you might know the trail.
10:17And hunters know to use.
10:19Without tracking devices, basic east-west, north-south use in the sun.
10:23So if you're spending night, I'm in an area that I'm familiar with.
10:26I get up on the west, east-west.
10:28I know where the road is.
10:29I know where this is that.
10:30But he's new to the area, and therefore there's a road right there.
10:33He could have easily figured out where south is, which is on the south coast, and the beach right there, and walk towards it.
10:41But he doesn't know.
10:42He's unfamiliar.
10:42But we need people to go into these areas with good GPS devices.
10:47That's the only thing that you need, and you can come out safely.
10:51Yes.
10:51Also, the cousins, you have some information with the cousins.
10:54The cousins from Claxton Bay.
10:58Yeah, we continue the search, and we continue to keep in touch with the families, taking different twists and turns.
11:05And we've been unable to find them, so they remain outstanding, missing since the 28th of November.
11:12And there's another story that I wanted to share with viewers today.
11:16This is the second time it occurred in the last month, where a guy by the name of Anthony Henry, a resident of Barataria, saw a strange gentleman in his neighborhood.
11:27He spoke to the gentleman.
11:28He gave his name as Gerard Joseph from Petey Valley.
11:32And he said that's all he could have said to him, gotten from the guy.
11:38And he took a picture.
11:39He contacted us.
11:40We posted it.
11:41And at the other end of Mr. Gerard Joseph's family, they left him at the St. James Infirmary, right?
11:51Warded there.
11:52And the day before when they went, they were told that he discharged himself.
11:57So they began looking for him.
11:59Had they not seen this poster, they would not have been aware that he was in Barataria.
12:04So, Anthony Henry, I want to say this publicly, you did the right thing, you are a good Samaritan, you look out for people.
12:14And if more persons could do that, probably the range of elderly folks who we still have missing, we could try to locate them because they just wander all over the place.
12:26And you may feel they're homeless, but they do have a family and they do have a home.
12:30Yes, now let's head to Sandy Grandy with a situation that took place on Friday the 12th of December.
12:36Let's take a look at this.
13:00The dangerous aspects of place here that we're seeing on the road, trying to get away from these individuals with high-power rifles.
13:13This gives war zone.
13:14And this is in Trinidad and Tobago.
13:16Sandy Grandy of all places.
13:18And only recently, I was saying Sandy Grandy has been quiet.
13:21I know there was a murder recently, but we're beginning to see a return to this type of homicides or shootings.
13:29And I know the police is doing their best to try to keep this type of crime down.
13:35But the guy really tried his best to get away.
13:39But he hounded him down, and that is the intent of his pursuers.
13:45And, you know, it's really, I'm disappointed that this is happening in Trinidad and Tobago.
13:51And I hope also that the TTPS is also paying attention because, of course, the criminal elements are paying attention to be on the tape.
13:58And information that they're seeing, that they're looking for.
14:01Because you see, now they're wearing gloves, they're wearing shades, hoodies, so they really can't.
14:06It'll be very difficult to identify the individuals.
14:09But, of course, this investigation continues here.
14:12Now, we're heading to Marvel Road to be, well, Marvel to be exact, on Cocoa Road.
14:17And there was an incident, a road traffic incident that took place, an accident.
14:22Clearly, the individual doesn't have brakes.
14:26Speeding around the corner to begin with.
14:28Oh, my goodness.
14:29I don't know how he did not pick up that car, parked up there.
14:35He was assuming there was nothing there.
14:37But, I mean, you're driving a car, you must have seen that and applied your brakes.
14:41I doubt very much that his brakes wasn't functioning.
14:44But even if, you're assuming that maybe there's no uncommon vehicles coming, but the speed you're going at.
14:51Yeah, it's difficult.
14:53It would have been difficult for him to stop.
14:55Are you on a hill?
14:56Yeah, he just came down a hill.
14:57So, you know, that is sheer recklessness.
15:01And that driver should not be on our roads at all.
15:05And I don't know where he was going with that speed.
15:07And we continue to say, drive with others in mind.
15:11You drive for others at all times.
15:15Yes.
15:15Now, there was another accident that took place in the Santa Cruz area.
15:18And, again, we are begging persons, even in the daytime, evening, nighttime, you really have to take your time.
15:27I understand it's three vehicles that was involved in this smash-up.
15:30And I'm hoping no one was seriously injured.
15:33Seriously.
15:33It looked extremely serious because of the vehicles.
15:36When you see the damages from the said vehicles, you must study if anyone is alive or hoping that persons are alive because of what we are witnessing.
15:47And, again, we are pleading to individuals.
15:49Captain, how many times we could ask persons to slow down?
15:53Well, the thing is, we have to continue to ask them to slow down.
15:56There's nothing else we could do.
15:58The police has their work to do.
16:00But, listen, when you and your families are traveling in your vehicles, just look at these images.
16:07And if you do not drive with proper care and attention, this could easily happen to you.
16:12We're seeing a number of three and four car smashes in November into December.
16:19And we are urging you to be careful.
16:21During this time, especially coming to the end of the year, you have to be ultra careful in everything you do.
16:31And it's even more and more young persons being involved in these accidents.
16:34So we are asking the inexperienced drivers that you need to take your time.
16:37And these high-end vehicles that persons are driving, you also have to understand and learn the car as well.
16:42At this time, it's time for your SOE update.
16:45Day 152.
16:48Number of operations, 11,441.
16:51Target priority offenders, 3,509.
16:55Searches conducted, 75,753.
17:00Traffic operations, 8,177.
17:04Total persons arrested, 4,730.
17:08Total persons charged, 2,536.
17:14Traffic offenses detected, 42,287.
17:18Firearms recovered.
17:20We see an increase now with the pistols at 116 and a total of 247.
17:26Ammunition recovered, 1,796 wrongs of the 9mm.
17:32A total of 3,398.
17:35And the dangerous drug seized.
17:37We're seeing an increase with the grams of cannabis along with the grams of cocaine.
17:41And as the TTPS continues to work extremely hard to get these drugs and guns and ammunition.
17:48So the results are there and you're seeing that steady increase in cannabis.
17:52No doubt the street is talking.
17:54And I could tell you, I was always on the ground and they're telling you that the cannabis is getting scarce.
18:00And I hear that talk when I'm out there.
18:04So, you know, you're seeing the results of the seizures.
18:07It's a very good year for cannabis seizure in Trinidad and Tobago.
18:12And then you're seeing the effect of it in that it is scarce on the streets.
18:16I want to ask you quickly.
18:18We, as persons who know, but the majority of the country knows,
18:21decriminalizing marijuana in Trinidad and Tobago gets access to persons to indulge in using marijuana on their private property at home.
18:29Now, seeing what is happening here, does it really even make sense having it decriminalized?
18:35Well, I do think.
18:37Let me tell you what the word on the ground is, right?
18:39Because we're always out there.
18:40The word on the ground is people were elated when they found out that they could have had four marijuana trees planted.
18:48A lot of people started, but if you go around people's homes like we do, you don't see any.
18:54So it was just like a file and it died down.
18:57And you're correct about smoking in your home.
18:59All those things, to me, it wasn't necessary, really.
19:03You're not seeing anything coming out of that.
19:07Yeah, it's not making sense to me.
19:09It's just not working out of that.
19:11I agree with you.
19:12You know, so if you're making sure you decriminalize it, it has to make sense.
19:16It has to make sense.
19:16Because, yeah.
19:17So the ultimate step, I know we have to go to a break, is really your cannabis shops, legal cannabis shops.
19:23Yes.
19:24But before we go to that break, we need to look at what made today's headlines.
19:27Let's go to it.
19:28And those were the stories we make in today's headlines.
19:53In one of the stories, we saw that one of the drivers who was in an accident died from his vehicle exploding.
20:00And, of course, it was on fire.
20:02And condolences to the family there.
20:04And it is really serious that we continue to stress.
20:07So I think we will never stop mentioning for persons to understand the importance of taking your time on the road.
20:12And that occurred in Gasparlow, and I had mentioned on the program before that Gasparlow and Claxton Bay seems to be two areas where we have road accidents resulting in road fatalities.
20:25Yes.
20:25And, you know, there are curves on the road there.
20:28So inexperienced drivers, you know, because you're inexperienced, you don't know how to handle the curve.
20:33You could probably have been, you could have slept away.
20:38You could have been under the influence of alcohol.
20:40We just need to take our time on the road.
20:43Yes.
20:43Thank you so much for that, Captain.
20:45We take a break, and we'll continue with more after this.

25:09And of that amount, we still have seven outstanding.
25:13We had some luck last week in, you know, searching and finding for about two persons, and that is from last week's count.
25:23But for this week's update, we still have seven outstanding, and we have Jason Rule and Tyrese Peters, who remain outstanding from the Claxton Bay District.
25:34And we want to make an appeal here this evening for residents of Grand Coover, Brasso, sorry, Grand Coover, Prissel, Claxton Bay, to please be on the lookout and see if you could find anything that could assist both the police and us in locating Jason Rule and Tyrese Peters.
25:58They have been outstanding since the 28th of November, and we feel strongly that, you know, that you can assist us in providing that information.
26:09You just want to drop some clues, Whitney?
26:11Yes.
26:11You may be driving.
26:12You may feel that it's a dead dog you're passing.
26:15Please stop.
26:16Check it out.
26:17If you need us to come and check it out, we will come and check it out, or we could call the police, and they will go and check it out.
26:23But something as simple as that, you could be vigilant enough and report that to us.
26:29And then we still have, we still have Daniela Pariag, and she's still outstanding.
26:38We have an idea who she is with, and we still haven't been able to identify her precise location as yet.
26:49We have Jason Nally, and unfortunately, Whitney on my way up.
26:55Jason went missing from the Curep District on the 4th of December.
26:59We knew that he suffered a seizure outside a grocery, and he bit his tongue, and he was taken by the medic.
27:05Yes, and the update he gave us money, yes.
27:07Well, the family did follow up there.
27:09We were trying to get to the medics.
27:11We got to the medics.
27:12They confirmed that he went there.
27:14We thought he had walked out, but he did not.
27:16Unfortunately, he succumbed at the hospital, and a short while I go on my way up, they informed me that his body was located at the Morgue, at the Mount Hope Hospital.
27:26So we want to express our condolences to the relatives, his sister Susie, the relatives of Jason Nally, a young man who would have succumbed to seizures on that 4th of December.
27:42So, yes, and then we have, we still have Derek Taddeo and Clarabel Taddeo, who were allegedly kidnapped on the 6th of December.
27:57And Whitney, I just want to say this publicly, Hunter's search and rescue team, and we know under the cloak of confidentiality.
28:04Yes, this is a sensitive matter.
28:07After this kidnapping, and therefore, we cannot see anything on this, and we are in contact with the police at all times with respect to this kidnapping.
28:22And then we have one that came up today.
28:26Matthew Williams from Ottawa Village, Miara, and I told you we're heading down to Guaya Guayari Village, Miara, tomorrow.
28:33Before we get there, we have to stop in Ottawa Village.
28:38He came on our radar today.
28:40But he is known to us, and we have to go and help the family there very early in the morning.
28:46We hope on, hoping to be by their home at around 5 a.m. in the morning.
28:51And then finish there and then get down to Guaya Guayari.
28:55So we have our hands filled tomorrow.
28:57There's no racking up of girls as yet for Hunter's search and rescue team.
29:02But Whitney, what we also did is that because we're coming down to the end of the year, we wish to remind viewers that since 4th year, we still have a number of outstanding persons.
29:16And what I want to present to them today is some of those persons who we strongly believe harm would have come to.
29:25And that is why our search, you know, sometimes we may not find them, although we would have gone and done a substantial amount of field.
29:36Yes.
29:36So, Captain, with that being said, we will take a break.
29:39And when we come back, we will touch on those missing persons that you want to mention.
29:42We'll be back.

32:54My mother made everything beautiful without ever asking for credit.
32:59She taught me that grace is allowed.
33:01It's how you live, it's how you love.
33:03When it was time to say goodbye, I chose Denny's.
33:12They didn't just understand loss, they understood her.
33:15Every detail, thoughtful, beautiful, timeless.
33:19Just like she was.
33:22When Datha Cruz called Denny's first.
33:33And we are back, Captain.
33:35So I want to understand more about what is taking place with missing persons, especially from the beginning of 2025.
33:41Yeah, and I'm happy, Whitney, to just to present a few for 2025.
33:49One of the strengths of our team, Whitney, really, is that ability to get a missing person report and to bring it to the front burner.
33:56First of all, in terms of the national community knowing, and then also in terms of launching searches together in most times with the police.
34:06And we have Merica Harry.
34:09She went missing on the 1st of January.
34:13Merica Harry, you know, they would say that this is, Merica would have been a teenage runaway.
34:17Based on the family profile, we knew that Merica had a good communication relationship with her mother.
34:24She called her mother to tell her mother that she was just about two kilometers away with a guy named Ants on that New Year's morning.
34:34Then she called the mother and said she was on her way home.
34:38Merica Harry never made it home.
34:41And she remains outstanding.
34:43And when somebody is outstanding for this long, you know, it confirms in our mind that our initial fears that somehow may have come to her.
34:52It may be real, but, you know, we still seek inclusion on behalf of her family.
35:00And we're asking if you have any information.
35:02Still call 799-1453.
35:05And look at the age range.
35:07We have Mr. Navarro, who is still outstanding.
35:11We searched for this gentleman in Coover, right?
35:14So she was 17, he's 78.
35:16He walked out of his home, most likely Alzheimer's.
35:19And to date, we've never located Mr. Navarro Riley.
35:25His daughter really remains in pain and agony down there in the Coover district.
35:32And then in the Separia district, this gentleman, a Canadian citizen, Marlon Hedward, we featured him a lot on this program.
35:40From Separia he visited, he was visiting around the Carnival period there.
35:45He is, his mental health is compromised.
35:50And he walked out of the San Fernando General Hospital.
35:54And he, we worked with his family tirelessly, searching all over Trinidad and Tobago.
36:00We've been right outside the express office.
36:04And to date, we've not found him.
36:07Most of his family have returned to Canada.
36:10And then we have Innsworth, Innsworth Andrew, one of the best screen operators on the port, right here in Port Ospine.
36:20He was at home.
36:21He left to go to work on the 7th of April.
36:25And to date, he has not been found.
36:29So if you have information, contact Inaris, police station.
36:32But we believe a substantial amount of time would have passed for Innsworth to show up.
36:39And he hasn't.
36:40So we still seek enclosure for him.
36:44Mahindranath, super sad.
36:46He went missing on the 2nd of the May in the Valencia district.
36:51Whitney, we spent a lot of time in the quarries up there in Valencia, searching for him.
36:56We visited his home.
36:58He lived alone.
36:59He worked in the quarry and he worked his car part time.
37:04To date, we have not been able to locate Mahindra, super sad.
37:09And if you have information, please call your nearest police station.
37:13Please call 799-1453.
37:16And as we continue to review some of these persons, Reshma, another female Puran, she was walking right there in Endeavor on the main road.
37:26CCTV footage picked her up walking on the road.
37:30And on the 12th, she went missing.
37:35It is reported that some car stopped and may have picked her up.
37:39But to date, we have not had no information, further information.
37:44But I can tell you that police investigations are ongoing in this regard.
37:49The only thing, we haven't been able to find Reshma Puran.
37:55And this is a personal friend of mine, Whitney, from the Mero area.
38:00Theodore B.'s gunpath, his mechanic, and another guy went and picked him up.
38:06The morning of the 23rd of July.
38:10And they said that they dropped him at their home to collect his van.
38:14The van was never there.
38:15We confirmed that with CCTV footage.
38:18We put our heart and soul in searching the whole of Southeast Trinidad for this gentleman.
38:24As well as other areas of Trinidad and Tobago.
38:27But this is an ongoing investigation.
38:30And I want to really ask for divine guidance for those who are investigating the disappearance of Mr. Theodore B.'s gunpath.
38:40And I hope that at least the perpetrators are caught.
38:45And then Jagda Sparag, we go back to our senior citizen again.
38:49Whitney, the whole thing about Alzheimer's is that sometimes people in the home cannot pick up when the elderly persons have it.
38:58He suffered from it.
39:00He walked out and just found out beach is primarily forested and estate cultivation.
39:08We searched with the folks down there in beach and we were not able to find Jagda Sparag.
39:15We had one sighting of him on CCTV footage, probably about four kilometers away from his home.
39:21And after that, we searched and we never found him.
39:25I was on beach recently and visited the family to see if they had any additional information.
39:32But thus far, nothing has come up.
39:34And this is a recent one we did here.
39:36And we want to highlight this one, Linda Bola.
39:39We were the only organization to report to the public that Linda went missing in Parrylands.
39:43And she, on the 1st of November, she remains missing.
39:49But we feel strongly that harm would have come to her.
39:53And we continue to relay this information to the authorities so that they can keep the investigations going.
40:00She left Aunt Whitney and a nine-year-old boy at home.
40:04All these stories and situations that we're hearing with missing persons are so heartbreaking
40:11because there are different situations from the elderly to the very young
40:15for persons who not necessarily want to run away but could have been taken.
40:21And we are seeing more and more, and I'm hoping, persons who may have elderly parents in their lives
40:26that they step in and be there because Alzheimer seems to be rampant in Trinidad and Tobago.
40:32Yeah, it's an aging disorder, an aging disease.
40:35And, you know, the family members just have to just look for memory lapses,
40:39look to see whether, you know, they lost a sense of direction.
40:42Yes, aggression as well.
40:43Huh?
40:44Aggression.
40:44Aggression as well.
40:46And to keep tabs on them.
40:48And there is medication to assist.
40:51But first of all, you've got to keep your eyes on them at all times
40:56and make sure that they were supervised.
40:59We've had several cases over the years,
41:01and we've found several bodies of persons who wandered away
41:06and met an untimely death due to Alzheimer's.
41:10Yes.
41:11What about Mr. Prince?
41:12Oh, yeah.
41:13We had Mr. Prince there.
41:14And Mr. Prince, we searched.
41:16This was a tough search with me.
41:19Heights of Guanapo.
41:20We talk about terrain up there that is close to Trinidad's highest peak,
41:24Cerro de la Riffo.
41:26So he went there to hunt, and we're confident that he made his way out.
41:31However, we've not been able to find him at all.
41:39We searched the forest floor for probably over several square kilometers and square miles.
41:47But we found his hunting grounds, and he was nowhere lying on the forest floor.
41:52So we're confident that he made his way out,
41:56and we're asking the investigators, again, divine guidance to them
42:01to try and get to the bottom of Mr. Prince's appearance.
42:05Yes.
42:05Of course, and if anyone has information, you have the numbers there
42:08that you could contact.
42:09We need to take that break.
42:10We'll be back.

46:36Also, I just want to mention to each and everyone from December 16th is Day 5 in Operations Festive Shield.
46:45What you will need to expect, Blue Christmas in the city across all divisions, citywide, visibility and engagement, and public safety presence.
46:55So, you all look out for those blue lights because they will be out and about.
47:00And I can let you all know they have already started because today the presence was felt in Port of Spain.
47:06I have to make my way to the central area also.
47:09And I can tell you, not just on the different main roads and these, as we see in lanes or small streets,
47:15but they're also on the highways and byways for persons to be aware of the things that you're doing.
47:23You know, it's a sad thing to say that you have to be this person with this whip or ruler over you, you know, to make sure you do the right thing.
47:32But try your best, really try your best to be a law-abiding citizen is also to straighten us up, straighten us out, I should say,
47:39along with the TTPS, understanding their rule and function, not forgetting that also, Captain.
47:45Yeah, we have a sense of responsibility to be disciplined citizens of our country.
47:50And I want to congratulate the police for being proactive.
47:53So, you're going, we know we're going in a festive season from Christmas to Carnival.
47:57And, you know, the TTPS, we traverse this country, you know, Whitney, and we're seeing, you saw in Port of Spain,
48:04we're seeing them all over the country, speed traps.
48:08We're seeing every single thing that they're doing, and we welcome that because at the end of the day,
48:14we have to, you know, at least get that reminder that we need to shape up and behave ourselves.
48:19Yes.
48:20We have a caller on the line at SIG.COLA this time.
48:22Caller, good evening.
48:24Yes, good evening.
48:25Captain, I don't know, ask a question, please.
48:30Yes.
48:32The search and hunters group, do you carry train tracker canines to help you in your search?
48:44And adding to this, you know, people spend hours in the forest with the mosquitoes, you know,
48:53any reptiles you need to like, and I'm just looking a little for me, I hope you don't get, you don't get too offended.
49:00I think you need to share, you know, the preparation, any kind of clothing, any kind of ointment, right?
49:04That the shackles use, the hunters use, when they get in the bush, it may help the police in their sting operations.
49:12All right.
49:12Thank you, caller.
49:13Let me just say that it's, once you go into canine, it's a huge operation.
49:20You need to have kennels, you need to have food, you have supply of food, you have to have training, you have to have good dogs.
49:25Yes, yes.
49:26With that pedigree, you have to have a condition transport to move them from one place to another.
49:34But the TTPS has a well-established canine unit, and we meet them in the field many times using their dogs and their different types of dogs,
49:43looking for different things, cannabis, you know, cadaver, et cetera.
49:47And we rely on them, so there's no need, really, to build two institutions, although we really need our own,
49:55but it's beyond our capacity at this point in time.
49:58And secondly, caller, I'm always there in the forest, and I come out without being bitten, I come out without a scratch.
50:06It's due care and attention, but it's all about safety.
50:09You have to have your preventative measures in place, and therefore, we're very skillful, and we're very well-trained in managing all the risk out there.
50:23Simple thing like insect repellant.
50:24Whitney, you apply that.
50:27Yes, and you're good to go.
50:28And you're good to go, right?
50:29But you need to tell me which insect repellant you use, because if once clearly I buy, the mosquitoes don't really respond to one.
50:35Well, the one we use is Repel Oil, and that works extremely well for us, so when members travel abroad, they bring in supplies for us.
50:44That works, but off works, and I use the Odomos Spray, not the cream.
50:50The Odomos Spray works, and we share our repellants, so we know which ones are effective.
50:56So caller, we know how to manage ourselves in the forest, and we would like to train people in that type of thing.
51:03Yes, we have another caller on the line.
51:05Caller, good evening.
51:07We have a blessing to the armed panel, and I just saw Mr. Ambarath.
51:11I always wonder why you don't join the police service.
51:15So, you'll make a good officer.
51:17I think you should join the police service, and I want to recommend all the best for you and your organization.
51:22So it's a rescue, doing a good job, and you should be given the highest award in this country.
51:27Thanks a lot, sir.
51:28Thank you. Much appreciated, caller, with respect to the police service.
51:33The skill we provide is supplemental to what the police service has.
51:38Our skill is very unique, and in 2021, when we decided to champion the cause of missing persons,
51:45we ourselves decided to convert our hunting skills to searching skills.
51:50And so far, we've been effective, and we pride ourselves as the best searchers in Trinidad and Tobago.
51:58And with that being said, we love and appreciation, and that caller said, and I'm sure others as well,
52:02you know, this is the last show for this year, this week, before we wrap things up, on Friday.
52:07Yeah.
52:07And this is for you, this weekend.
52:10So, what do you like to tell the public?
52:12Oh, well, as a person who I've seen many Christmases, I've reached the stage in my life where the most important aspect of Christmas
52:22is the holiness and the blessings which flow from it.
52:26And I really want to ask Trinidad, citizens of Trinidad and Tobago,
52:31to understand what Christmas is and put in Jesus Christ in Christmas.
52:35And be chilled, you know, to use as the younger generation.
52:44Be chilled about it.
52:45There's no need to overdo anything.
52:47Be very careful.
52:49And, you know, Christmas is about family.
52:51Make sure that you keep your family together and that you pray together
52:55and you pray for an improved month in 2026 on all levels.
53:02So, that would be my message to the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
53:08And if there is this fear and hope in 2025, always remember that with life, there is hope.
53:16And approach 2026 with renewed energy, vigor, positive thoughtfulness, and you will get where you want to get.
53:25Yes, Captain, we appreciate you so much.
53:27And I know the public will appreciate you more.
53:30And I know this week here, today is just the final show for you today.
53:33Yes.
53:34Right?
53:34We wrap things up on Friday.
53:37You're right.
53:37But we just want to show you a lot of love and thank you for being here with us and sharing, you know,
53:43the journeys of persons who are missing and persons who have found and continue the will that you continue to give to citizens of Trinidad and Tobago.
53:50There's a photo that you want to share.
53:52Yeah, but I want to say something before I show that photo.
53:55What happens is that Beyond the Tape has assisted us.
53:59And I want to say to our producer, Jackie, and our family at TV6 and Beyond the Tape,
54:06I want to wish you all a happy Yuletide season.
54:09And people meet me all over.
54:12And, you know, they also call right after program, say, you see that person, we have information.
54:18And it happens all the time.
54:19So, I was a good friend in Tobago.
54:22He watches the program from Monday to Friday, not Monday alone.
54:26So, I just want to say a big shout out to Mr. Winston Daniel, my good friend there.
54:31And he always converses with me about missing persons and his love for Beyond the Tape.
54:38He's from Lambeau, by the way, Gordon Heights in Lambeau, Tobago.
54:42And I just want to share something with you, Whitney.
54:46I was telling you there's hunters, which are rescue team-related matters.
54:50So, yesterday, I went quick, very quickly, I went to a mosque in California and had a discourse.
54:57I was the main guest with the folks there, our Muslim brothers and sisters in California,
55:03talking to them about missing persons.
55:05It was very well-received, I was told.
55:09And, you know, I love doing that, teaching and sharing my knowledge with persons
55:14so that we could have a better Trinidad and Tobago.
55:17So, Whitney, I want to wish you all the best for the Christmas season.
55:21We appreciate you.
55:22Thank you so much, Captain.
55:23Of course, the Hunter Search and Rescue team to each and everyone.
55:26And a special good evening to another huge supporter of the show,
55:29to, of course, Judy and Alexander Placid, who is always locked on.
55:34I send it up to you and we'll be back tomorrow, same time, same place.
55:38We get ready for news coming up next.
55:43The Top Story.
