03:30That was a paid political advertisement.
03:36Still using wipes?
03:38Drop it.
03:39Switch to Garnier Meissler Cleansing Water.
03:41My cells remove makeup like a magnet.
03:42In just one step, no harsh rubbing.
03:45Removes waterproof mascara better than the leading wipe.
03:48From the number one Meissler brand in America.
03:50By Garnier.
03:51Naturally.
04:00Good evening Trinidad and Tobago and welcome to Beyond the Tape.
04:07And of course, those of you who are locked on globally as well.
04:10Especially our brothers and sisters in Grenada.
04:13I am your host Whitney Husbands and the countdown continues until the big day.
04:17Christmas, 16 days and counting.
04:20And those of you who are already out, making sure you get your items as early as possible.
04:24We ask you to remember, please be safe.
04:28And even if you're window shopping because it's just the experience.
04:30Do so and make sure that your surroundings is always safe.
04:34Now, it's day 15 in the 16 days of activism.
04:38And tomorrow, December 10th, the Special Victims Department Secretariat is inviting everyone to come down to the Brand Laro Promenade.
04:47As they close the 16 days of activism.
04:50It starts at 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.
04:52You remember, it's at the Brand Laro Promenade.
04:55So, make sure you all come out.
04:56Come and participate.
04:57And of course, experience what has been happening over the 16 days.
05:03Now, also, the Tardios are still missing.
05:08Derek and Clarabelle Tardio.
05:11They are asking persons if you have any information to please contact the police at 555-999 or the Hunters Search and Rescue at 799-1453.
05:25So, at this time, speaking of, you know, making sure we keep us connected.
05:31I am always excited when I have a female on the show with us.
05:35And especially when they come from Tobago because they come with a lot of love.
05:39So, this evening, I would like to welcome with us on the show.
05:42Again, she is no stranger to the show.
05:43We have acting ASP Alicia Piggott with us all the way from Tobago, the sister aisle.
05:50And, you know, I'm going to put you on the spot where my Benet ball.
05:53Brittany, don't worry.
05:54Where's my tambourine ball, red mango?
05:57When we are through, you're going to get it.
05:58Yes.
05:59So, good evening, Tobago especially.
06:02And all the persons who are listening in Trinidad and all over the World Wide Web and all over the world.
06:08Yeah.
06:08So, let us know what is really taking place now in Tobago with the recent news of the murder of the tourists.
06:15And I know persons are very concerned about that because Tobago is known for having a lot of tourists visit the island.
06:21Yes, Tobago is buzzing with activity right at this point in time.
06:24We have tourist season.
06:27Mostly, nearly every day, we have a tourist ship in Scarborough.
06:32And we also have flights coming from those European countries, Condor.
06:39So, besides that, we have election in the air.
06:43Yes, yes.
06:43And we also have Christmas soon to come and then carnival.
06:47So, it's buzzing with activity.
06:48Yes, we had an unfortunate situation of Mr. Christopher Braun from the U.S. who saw his untimely death.
06:58And we had a young man, 27-year-old Kylan Sandy, was arrested and charged.
07:03He went before the court on Friday.
07:05And he is, well, you know, at this point in time, he wasn't granted bail.
07:11So, that's a collaboration of various stakeholders that the Homicide had to work with, the U.S. Embassy.
07:20The persons in Castara, Castara Village, is a tourist-oriented village.
07:25Persons may not know that, but they take a lot of time and effort as it relates to tourism in that village.
07:35So, and you also had other stakeholders, such as Tobago House of Assembly.
07:40You had the Victim and Witness Support Unit.
07:42Everybody collaborated.
07:44And we were able to solve this crime and get the perpetrator behind bars.
07:48Yeah, I'm really happy to hear that because yesterday I was reading that there's an advisory alert to German citizens stating, you know, of course, what is taking place in Trinidad and Tobago.
07:58And it was very specific.
08:00They mentioned Portiswine and Chagunas, but Tobago wasn't there.
08:03So, I mean, in this case, we are hoping that, you know, we could get it in Trinidad as well.
08:08In Trinidad as well.
08:08In Trinidad also.
08:08They're persons feeling here.
08:10They're feeling safe.
08:10I don't want to say thank you.
08:13Tobago is not there, but I also hope that one day that they will take the opportunity that Portiswine off the radar.
08:18Yeah, yeah, for real.
08:19Most definitely.
08:20Now, you mentioned the elections, and Christmas is also in the mix.
08:23How are you all preparing for it?
08:24So, officers are being deployed on the ground.
08:29So, mostly at nights we have political meetings, and we have, sometimes you have about six political meetings in one night.
08:37So, the police, the various station districts have to be moving from political meeting to political meeting.
08:46All right?
08:47So, we also have the assistance of the GB, the Guard and Emergency, who are in Tobago, and the IATF.
08:53Yes.
08:53So, officers move from village to village, wherever the political meeting is, and they cover the political meeting.
09:00So far, we have been incident-free.
09:03And as you say, political meeting, I want to remind the Tobago public that everyone has their constitutional rights to support whichever party they choose to support.
09:13Can you repeat that again?
09:14So, people can understand that.
09:15Each and every one in Tobago has a constitutional right to support whichever party they wish to support.
09:24Yes.
09:24So, not because they're supporting one party, let's say the party in blue, the party in red is going to condemn you.
09:29No.
09:30Yes.
09:30We want love, we want respect, and the government has come to the election.
09:34Order.
09:35Order, yes.
09:36Order.
09:36Yes.
09:36Now, could you also mention, seeing a lot of the accidents happening in Tobago, how are you all trying to find ways to bring awareness to the citizens in Tobago?
09:45Especially with the way in which they drive, because it's fatal accidents happening, life-changing accidents happening, and there was a recent accident that also took place as well in Tobago with the maxi-taxi.
09:58Yes.
09:58So, what happens is with police partners, with the license office, and the police go out in various places, even in the malls, they go on the roadways, and they speak to persons, educate the public.
10:12They put out ads to make sure that persons understand how to use the roadway.
10:18Yes.
10:18When, now we know it's a rainy season, it's nearly going to finish, we remind persons, listen, drive carefully on the roadway.
10:26The speed limit.
10:28Do not also check your vehicles before you leave your homes.
10:32Persons leave their homes and then check and see if the windscreen wiper is working.
10:36And by the time you get out there, the wiper is not working, and you cannot see where you are going.
10:41So, we have been going out there, talking to and speaking to persons, as I said, with the license officers, and educating persons on their driving habits.
10:52Yes.
10:52Now, with that accident, we just saw there was anyone seriously injured, or there were any fatalities.
10:58No, there wasn't any fatalities.
10:59I'm going.
11:00No, there wasn't any fatalities.
11:01There were persons who were seriously injured, and who asked at this time at hospital.
11:07Yeah.
11:07Right?
11:07So, we asked drivers, it's very important, not just in Tobago, but also in Trinidad and Tobago, to take your time.
11:13Remember, if you're late, you can't be late twice, and just drive for others, not just for yourself.
11:17Now, let's go straight into this.
11:21I want you all to take a look at this video.
11:23It was making the wrongs on social media, and in this video, you will see a bracelet was taken while calling out his playway numbers.
11:33And this is just so bold-faced.
11:36It is.
11:37Bare-faced, tone-business, anytime, and you just don't know who will be marking you.
11:43And it doesn't matter to the person who snatched your bracelet, because you think a lot of persons are wrong, and he is bare-faced, as you say, and bold-faced.
11:51So, we asked persons, you know, you have to be conscious of your surroundings.
11:56You have to look around, take care of your surroundings.
12:01Ensure that persons, when you go to certain places, you look around to ensure that persons are not looking at you.
12:10If you go to places, and you realize persons are staring, or, you know, those kind of things, you need to take cognizance of that.
12:18Yes.
12:19You know, sometimes, I also try to pay attention.
12:21If I see a person too many times, and we're bouncing up too many times, you're more uncomfortable.
12:27I mean, it's wrong to think like that.
12:27Sometimes, you walk along a street, and every block you reach, you see the same person.
12:33So, you have to get out from there.
12:36Yeah.
12:37So, I hope that we could find this individual who snatched that bracelet, and of course, I know the TTPS is working extremely hard to find a way to control the crime situation that's happening in the country.
12:47And it's a good thing that the business has a camera.
12:50Camera.
12:50So, you'll be able to find that person.
12:53Yes.
12:53And speaking of that, let's take a look at what is the update concerning the SOE today.
12:58Day number 146.
13:01Now, number of operations, 10,873.
13:06Target priority offenders, 3,381.
13:10Searches conducted, 72,272.
13:14Traffic operations, 7,736.
13:18Total persons arrested, 4,526.
13:23Total persons charged, 2,459.
13:27Traffic offenses detected, 40,532.
13:32Firearms recovered.
13:34And we're seeing, of course, an increase here now, 111 with the pistols and 39 with shotguns.
13:41The ammunition recovered, and we're seeing it continues to increase here on a daily.
13:45The rounds, which is the 9mm, 1,736.
13:50A total of 3,317 and dangerous drugs seized.
13:57An increase with the cannabis and also the cocaine, as some of you like to say, cocaina, that continues to increase.
14:05So, those are the updates with your SOE today.
14:08Let's take a look at what is making the headlines.
14:11Now, one of the stories that's making the headlines this evening is the deadly romance that everyone is,
14:41clearly, you know, talking about and it's circulating on social media.
14:44Now, with the information received according to the Trinidad Express,
14:48a 13-year-old boy walked into his mother's bedroom yesterday morning and found her dead.
14:54A man he knew was also found dead in the same room.
14:58Police believe 42-year-old Angel Luchman was murdered by her partner, 29-year-old Shazad Mohammed,
15:06who then took his own life at Luchman's Abraham Street Brand Gardens, Claxton Bay home.
15:12Luchman's son, who had spent the night at an aunt's house nearby, returned home and made the discovery around 7.20 a.m.
15:21The teenager ran out of the house and eluded neighbors.
15:25Police said Luchman had a gaping wound to the throat.
15:29And, of course, the investigations continue through, though, with this.
15:33And what are your comments on this?
15:35Well, unfortunately, there was a untimely death.
15:39And you have to, I looked on the television, I saw where her brother spoke of being in a relationship that was toxic.
15:50And we continuously asked females or women, when you're in a relationship where there's abuse, you need to get out.
16:00You need to do something.
16:03You need to report it.
16:05You need to ensure that your safety, because you have your families, you have people to live for.
16:11All right?
16:12And it's unfortunate that this would happen.
16:14Yes, I agree with everything you said.
16:16And I think the first hit is one day you're supposed to exit.
16:20The first hit?
16:20Yes.
16:21Exit, because persons would say, no, he wouldn't do it again.
16:25Yes.
16:25And they would forgive him.
16:27And then he comes back again.
16:29So the first hit, get out.
16:31Yes, it's not going to get any better at all.
16:33Now we will take a short break, and when we come back, we will continue with more after this.
16:37We'll see you next time.
16:39We'll see you next time.
16:41We'll see you next time.
17:11We'll see you next time.
17:13We'll see you next time.

20:08Email your nominees with a brief justification to IOTY at TrinidadExpress.com.
20:14For more information, visit TrinidadExpress.com.
20:18And we are back.
20:32And of course, remember, you can give us a call at 623-1711,
20:36extension 1996 and 1997.
20:39With us this evening, we have Acting ASP Alicia Piggott with us.
20:44And we continue with more information that we're giving you.
20:46As we told you all, we are closing off the 16 days of activism tomorrow.
20:51But with that being said, we are Day 15.
20:53Highlights another frequently asked question is
20:56what can a protection order direct the respondent to do?
21:01Now, a protection order may direct that the respondent
21:05return to the applicant specified property
21:09that is in his possession or under his control.
21:13Pay compensation for monetary loss incurred by an applicant
21:19as a direct result of conduct that amounted to domestic violence.
21:24And pay interim monetary relief to the applicant
21:27for the benefit of the applicant and any child
21:31where there is no existing order relating to maintenance
21:35until such time as an obligation for support is determined
21:40pursuant to any other written loan.
21:43Of course, you could continue reading there more with what is Day 15 ASP.
21:50Immediately vacate any place or residence for a specified period,
21:54whether or not the residence is jointly owned or leased by the respondent
21:58and the applicant or solely owned or leased by the respondent
22:04or the applicant.
22:06Yes.
22:07And you know persons may not know that you have financial abuse.
22:13You're living in a house with a man.
22:16With a man.
22:16Woman too.
22:17Or a woman.
22:18A woman.
22:18Or a man living in a house with a woman.
22:21Yes.
22:21And they withholding finances from you.
22:24You can't go to the supermarkets.
22:25You can't see about yourself.
22:28That is an abuse.
22:29People think it's just a physical form of, you know,
22:32someone hitting on you means it's just abuse,
22:35but there are different types of abuse.
22:36But there are types of emotional abuse.
22:37Yes.
22:38Because I can be there calling you all sorts of names
22:41as it is emotional abuse.
22:43And as I said, taking the finances away from the lady.
22:47Yeah, well, I love how you only laugh.
22:49And see, you don't believe women will take away finances from men
22:51because women now make more money than men.
22:54Women do, but you don't have it as much as with the men.
23:00But it is still domestic violence either way.
23:03Yeah.
23:03Of course, that is very important.
23:05Now, we have a message from Sergeant Randy Banwari,
23:10and he shares this message.
23:12Be mindful of sharing.
23:13Think twice before posting or sharing anything online.
23:17Avoid sharing personal information such as your address,
23:21phone number, location, or even the name,
23:24of your school.
23:25Remember that contact online can stay online forever.
23:29And that is very true.
23:30And that is so true.
23:31Yes.
23:31Sometimes persons put up things online,
23:33and it does not, it goes out there.
23:36Remember, you can't take it back.
23:37Once you press that knob, it goes out.
23:40And the World Wide Web is a scary place because, you know,
23:43sometimes I think people believe you cannot Google yourself.
23:46You could Google other individuals and they will pop up.
23:49But you could go on your phone as you speak,
23:51you're watching us right now or even listening to us,
23:53and type in your name and put your location and you will see that there's information out there about you
23:59from everything that you posted or other persons posted that is there circulating.
24:03And if you were somehow in the news or if you had something on Facebook,
24:09you will see everything.
24:10Yes.
24:10It will come up.
24:11Yeah.
24:11Now, let's dive back into Tobago and what is happening.
24:14I understand there's a lot of robberies, a string of robberies taking place.
24:18And also, apart from that, you allow finding ways to make sure the detection and persons are apprehended
24:24and brought before the court.
24:25So, we had a string of robberies in November and starting off this month.
24:30We had some robberies in the Signal Hill.
24:33We had a robber in the Signal Hill area where a business place where $30,000 was taken.
24:39And we have a young man by the name of Jamali Gordon who is from Bethel who appeared in court up to yesterday.
24:45We also had a robbery in the Bell Garden area where over $150,000 worth in jewelry were taken.
24:58And Mr. Jamali Gordon also appeared in court for that matter.
25:02And then we also had another robbery in the Providence Road area along with a break-in there too
25:12where over $100,000 worth in jewelry was also taken.
25:17And Mr. Jamali Gordon along with an Aitian McLeod, 25 years of Orange Hill, Tobago,
25:26they both appeared before the court.
25:29Jamali Gordon was denied bail.
25:33And then we had a Chelsea, Sudan, sorry, Storat, who is 18 years old, of Kanube.
25:41She would have appeared before the court for receiving over $15,000 worth in jewelry.
25:49So, is it that person, I mean, in this case, we're happy that, you know,
25:53the TTPS was able to catch these individuals, right, and now bring them before the court.
25:59But is it not persons are now getting closer to their victims to find out or know?
26:06Because how else would you know that these people have this amount of jewelry worth in their possession?
26:11What you get is they go to the person's home and demand their hand over the jewelry.
26:17So what we realize is that sometimes, as I say closer, they are looking at you.
26:21So when you put on all these rings and this big, nice gold chain,
26:26they are looking on and seeing you are wearing these things and coming to your homes
26:30and demanding that you hand over these items.
26:34And that is exactly what occurred.
26:36They went to the person's home and demand that they hand over these items.
26:40And they all appeared before the court yesterday, before the high court yesterday.
26:45Well done to the TTPS.
26:46Yes, and they can't wear jewelry anywhere even at home.
26:48It was diligent work.
26:51This criminal investigation department along with the gang-gang unit would have really went out there
26:57and did some good work and must commend them for that.
27:00Now remember, you all could give us a call as well at 623-1711, extension 1996-1997.
27:07Now, officer, with regards to Tobago, there was the incident that we ran over the week here.
27:12And I want to know if you have any updates with this that took place in Tobago.
27:17Let's take a look.
27:20I don't know if you recall this incident.
27:21I recall that is a young man who is originally from Trinidad.
27:26That murder occurred in the Mason Hall area.
27:30And the homicide department is actively investigating that report.
27:34I always say when it comes to homicides, you have to dot your I's and cross your T's.
27:39So you have to do in-depth investigation.
27:41But whilst I'm saying that, there are persons out there who have any information,
27:46please feel free to call 2-1-1 and give the police the information.
27:53But the homicide is actively investigating this homicide.
27:58Yes.
27:58Now, officer, with regards to the gun violence, sorry, that we're seeing happening in Tobago,
28:06that is not something that we are accustomed to seeing at all.
28:09Accustomed to Tobago, in Tobago.
28:09Right?
28:09And I am always upset when I see these things even happen in Trinidad,
28:14because Trinidad and Tobago.
28:15But usually Tobago is a safe haven to go and relax and enjoy itself and, you know,
28:20get some form of freedom.
28:21But with the gun violence, where are we at?
28:23What are you all doing to try to find a way to stop this madness?
28:27Well, with the gang intelligence unit, they are going out there and getting the information.
28:33So far, we would have taken off the streets, I think it's about seven to nine firearms, right?
28:41We can do more.
28:42Right.
28:43Right?
28:43We can do more.
28:44And we ask for the information from the public.
28:47I always say a girlfriend would have the firearm, would be hiding the firearm.
28:52And it's only when the boyfriend turns on the girlfriend,
28:57then she gives the information of the firearm, right?
28:59But we have been going out there.
29:01We have been searching.
29:02You have been using the SOE to our advantage.
29:06I mean, yes, we don't just run into persons' homes.
29:09But we have been, when the public give us information,
29:13we have been going out there and searching homes to check on persons.
29:17And we have been checking on persons who sometimes walk the street
29:21and you may get information about those persons.
29:24We also search those persons.
29:26Yes.
29:26But we have been going out there and trying to get the firearms off the street.
29:31And once persons are found with the firearms, you know, they will be going before the courts.
29:35Yes, most definitely.
29:36We need to take that break.
29:37And when we come back, we will continue with more.

30:22Sugar is a poison.
30:24Understand this.
30:25Sugar equals chronic inflammation.
30:27Chronic inflammation equals insulin resistance.
30:30Insulin resistance equals diabetes.
30:33So don't be fooled by the notion that high blood sugar is the cause of diabetes.
30:37High blood sugar is only a symptom of the diabetes.
30:40Chronic inflammation.
30:41That's the root cause.
30:42How do we combat chronic inflammation?
30:44Through lifestyle changes.
30:45Then and only then.
30:47Make sure you're getting enough mega-free fatty acids.

33:52And there was an RTA incident that was caught on camera and this happened from what I understand in Canaan.
33:57So let's take a look at what took place here and it just goes to show.
34:01The driver coming out of the Chinese and she didn't pay.
34:06That's the grocery.
34:07Yes, the Chinese grocery.
34:09And she did not pay attention because she should have stopped and looked to see if any car is going west or east.
34:22And the car just slammed into it and beside that, you know, the car was going at a pace.
34:27Yes, at a serious speed.
34:29It didn't have time to, enough time to mash it seems.
34:31Yeah.
34:32I always say this and I hope no one takes offences at all.
34:35But usually when I travel to Tobago, it seems like two things.
34:39They don't like to give the bligh and they don't like to mash brakes.
34:42So I'm not sure as to what is taking place.
34:44And many times, and this is across the board now, some persons don't know how to average vehicles and speed.
34:50The speed and average running.
34:51I mean, even as you said, they don't want to give the bligh.
34:55They don't like to give you the opportunity to turn in or turn out because everybody wants to get going.
35:02Yeah, yeah.
35:03It's really sad.
35:04And do you know if anyone was seriously injured here?
35:07I know a young lady went to hospital.
35:09And she was eventually discharged from the hospital.
35:15And it's such an unfortunate situation.
35:17Even the gentleman who hit her, he would have hit the curb, hitting and also hit a building.
35:27And they're usually busy because I know that there's a popular space.
35:31That is a business church.
35:32Yes, it is.
35:32That church is busy.
35:33And since you have the supermarket, in that area right now, it has four supermarkets.
35:39Well, I realized that from my recent visit.
35:41In that space.
35:43Yes.
35:43So, you know, it's a very busy place.
35:46Yes.
35:46Quickly, though, but who will be wrong in this?
35:48The lady who came out from the, because she didn't show any due diligence when she was coming out.
35:53She was supposed to wait and look to make sure that no cars.
35:58And then probably she wasn't able to average.
36:02You know, in the night when a light is coming at you, you're not able to average the light when it is coming.
36:07So, you have to have due diligence.
36:10So, you have to wait and make sure you look, look twice, look again and make sure before you come out.
36:16But also with the driver who bounced her, two things.
36:20The speed, I don't know the speed limit there.
36:21That's one.
36:22And then also, it seems like he assaulted the lady after, like he came out of the vehicle.
36:27And was upset.
36:28Yes.
36:28So, and we asked persons, that is road rage.
36:32I mean, yes, you got into an accident.
36:35Oh, God, show compassion.
36:37Yes, I know your vehicle was damaged.
36:39But you cannot, you have to stay within the law.
36:42You cannot break the law also after that accident.
36:46So, two persons were wrong with regards to that situation, clearly.
36:50And I'm sure the TTPS in Tobago will be dealing with it.
36:53The police is investigating that report and the footage was given to the station.
36:58All right, also, after winning a game, it is alleged that there was an attack on this individual.
37:06Here, the person was robbed.
37:09And you can see from...
37:11Leaving the premises.
37:12Yeah, from some winnings.
37:15Well, this is the whoppy.
37:16So, I mean, as another illegal form of gambling, of course.
37:20Yes.
37:21And if you look at his hand, look as if he had some of the monies in his hands, too.
37:25So, and look at these men.
37:27Rain is falling, you know.
37:29You know what I don't get?
37:30And from all the videos we are watching here and previous videos, they are always rubbing people in slippers.
37:36Slippers.
37:36Or bare feet.
37:38Bare feet.
37:38But what...
37:39I'm trying to understand what it is.
37:42And is it that you all could use that as evidence, meaning to identify individuals?
37:46So, sometimes it depends on the slippers the person is wearing.
37:49Okay.
37:50So, you might...
37:51Don't get too much intel.
37:52Leave it there.
37:54Don't get too much intel.
37:55I don't want you to, you know.
37:57But, I mean, it is just really sad.
37:59Sad.
38:00And look at the amount of men who is posting on this one man just to get the little money that he illegally got.
38:11Yeah.
38:11That's another form.
38:12That's another form.
38:13But it's his money, you know.
38:15And look at the kind of violence that they are using.
38:18You know, I asked persons around me, persons who are close to me, this question.
38:24And I'll ask you the same thing.
38:25And I'll also throw it out to the public.
38:28Do you think we are really oppressed to the point where the way in which individuals are making the decision to go on harm and hurt individuals?
38:37Or is it that it's something that is, they already made up their mind, this is the way I want to live my life?
38:43It's, some of them, that is the way, that is the way they want to live.
38:46Some of them, you can see, that is the attitude.
38:49Because, I mean, there's work out there.
38:53There are a lot of construction sites.
38:55There are a lot of, I mean, places or shops you can go and get a job.
39:00I mean, they may not want the minimum wage, so they want everything quick.
39:06No, but then if you rob somebody of $500 and it's six of you all working, how are you split a knot?
39:12They're not bothered about that, you know.
39:13They're just gullible.
39:15They just want to get what you have.
39:18Nobody is studying, let me work hard.
39:20Or if I go and rob this man, am I going to get a dollar?
39:23They don't care about that.
39:25What they care about is getting the money fast.
39:29Yes.
39:29They don't want to work for it.
39:30I don't know.
39:31I think as things continue, not just any country, but globally, because we're seeing what's happening,
39:37the pressure is getting ready to burst, to set pipes, and it is causing a lot of harm and trauma
39:44to individuals who are trying to be more abiding.
39:47Yes, you are working hard for your money, and someone comes from nowhere and just take all your money.
39:53And as you say that, we also had another breaking, a housebreaking and larceny, where another young man, Giovanni Jobe,
40:02of a bagatelli in Scarborough, he would have stole a gentleman's safe containing $20,000, TT, and $22,000, US.
40:15So how do you know this?
40:17Is it that person's clothes?
40:18It has to be personal.
40:18So sometimes persons are business persons and they stake out, they look at you.
40:23Okay.
40:24They see what you are doing.
40:24And that is why we ask persons, especially coming to this Christmas season, do not have that amount of cash at your home.
40:33If you are a business person, ensure that you bank your monies.
40:38And if you are paying persons, to be able to have a culture, which is sometimes going away a bit,
40:45but you have a culture, they like to pay persons in a car park.
40:48So I'm working for you, and I would want to go and pay you in the car park.
40:52And you could go to the police station too.
40:54Right.
40:54What about online banking?
40:55Or get from the persons, encourage the persons who don't have a bank account to go to the bank and get a bank account.
41:03And you can send the money online.
41:05Encourage them to have online banking.
41:07Once they have a phone, they can do have the online banking.
41:09So you have to encourage them.
41:11And persons, sometimes you also see business persons who, they don't very well employ security to take their money from one place to the other.
41:23So they may carry the money themselves to the bank.
41:26So I am there, I'm at the fast service machine, and you come at the night safe and you put in the money.
41:31And I look at you, I would, I see you, you come out of your vehicle like normal and just put this amount of money in.
41:37So I would look at you eventually, and then I would say, you see, now is the time to punch on him.
41:44And that is what we don't want.
41:45We want business persons to be aware of the surroundings.
41:50Stop having a lot of amount of cash in your premises.
41:53Because look at the amount of money that the U.S. had.
41:56How much U.S. had?
41:5722,000.
41:59Jesus Christ.
42:00U.S.

45:45the line so let's head to the phone lines hello good evening caller hello
45:51hey good night good evening yeah hey good evening
45:59are you here am I on am I yes you're live so you're live I'm live yes I normally
46:08look at issue but this is the first time I'm calling in and I'm calling him
46:14solely because of the statement you made just now it's happening all over the world
46:20that statement means that it's happening all over the world so it's okay that it's
46:24happening in Trinidad I was very disappointed disappointed in that
46:28statement New York City New York City has about 20 times our population have not
46:37had one homicide I mean I really disappointed in your statement it does
46:42not make it all right but he's not doing anything before I'm saying talking for
46:48experience the police okay it's just a set of talk all right thank you there was
46:57no point in time that I ever said that is okay for violence and crimes happen in
47:03Trinidad and Tobago because it's happening around the world I said the climate of
47:07the world is very similar everyone is angry everyone is frustrated and we are
47:11seeing it here in Trinidad I never made it made a comment it was all right that's what
47:15you said and I want to also tell the caller the caller said that the police is doing nothing
47:19so then the police is doing nothing then we would have a state where I would be able to
47:23everybody doing everything everybody doing what they want and the police have been been out
47:27there working doing the police have been ensuring person's safety even his safety I am sure so the
47:34police have been working and the police when persons break the law the police have been putting them
47:39before the court yes and have been getting conviction but I also want to mention I don't
47:43know if he saw the beginning of the show where the updates with the SOE I don't know if they could pull
47:48it up again because I don't know those are fake figures look on the arrest that you the arrest
47:52and the amount and the amount of ammunition taken off the street among the fire I'm taking off the
47:58street yes look look these are items operations yet that took place from the ttps right here in
48:04Trinidad and Tobago not in New York and I also indulge in taking in international news and I don't know
48:10where you got data or information where not one murder took place in New York City I am confused but we
48:17hear what you're saying and I'm hoping that the information that we are showing you here at this point in
48:22time it is now going to give you some clarity to the statements that you made and of course um the
48:30ttps is still trying we are the hardest we are still with the ttp we are still the police yes and we are
48:36still out there all right doing your convictions happens before the court just seeing we have
48:41another call hello good evening hi good evening good evening how are you so good good good season
48:50greetings to everyone there same to you sir yes um just now the lady was thinking about um going to
49:00the banks and get things done but sometimes those systems are so frustrating to the average person
49:07sometimes they ask it to get a lot of things in order to open account if you're renting you have to
49:14to get a proof of address you may not be able to get from the landlord by the time a person reaching
49:20to the banks or the institutions to get certain things it just was straight here and you say look you
49:26see me angry to that again so you're forced to go and make the arrangements with the people cash in
49:31hand you know wherever right and putting yourself in danger sometimes you may not have a choice right so
49:38the system just how i would say constipated and when you talk like that and you say it's free flowing
49:46it doesn't mean it it's going to happen like that you can talk it it sounds good right but it's not going to
49:53happen like that so people have some people have no choice than to go and make the deals and get the cash
49:58right in hand and again yes you put yourself in danger but the people take the child because like again the system
50:05constipated it frustrates you and it says see me i'm not going back there again i'm going through that
50:11so that's my contribution thank you have a great evening i understand what he's saying but me too
50:18you have still have to try because how would you um so if you don't if you don't put your monies or get
50:25monies in the bank if you want a loan what will happen if you want to show um your savings what will
50:33happen so yeah i mean you still have to try and you wouldn't know unless you try well i guess i mean
50:37this is also for call for the financial institutions as well to make things a bit easier i'm not going
50:43to call a bank but there are some banks that have started doing that where you're able to go online and
50:49do your basic transactions of opening an account but then there's another side of it not everyone may
50:56have access to online so online as it even having wi-fi internet those basic things that we take for
51:01granted because we have access it and as you finger it's at our fingertips so i hope um we could find
51:07away and if you do have to do that um officer with regards the person's having to do a cash transaction
51:14with another person what will be the best thing yes come to the police station the police station is open
51:19to the public you can come there i saw up to last week i saw a lady came there to purchase a vehicle
51:25she ensured yes that um she said i listen to me officer i want to make sure that this person is
51:31legit to me so i told them meet me at the police station and we oversaw the transaction and they went
51:37about their business all right you know you can you know persons really don't like especially when they
51:42save them money or um they let's say in this case they want some money or money was gifted to them they
51:48don't want to go to the bank bank and explain where the source of funds source of funds but they also
51:54need to understand why the bank has to do that because there's so many fraudulent activities happening
51:59so you have to find a way of the middle ground yes you know you have to because we're stuck in
52:05certain ways that we are custom doing certain things and when things change because of order
52:10it causes our but our custom doing is what we have been doing the wrong thing all the time and then
52:15you keep and then sometimes you keep the monies at home and somebody come from nowhere and take
52:19the little monies that they was keeping at home yes and that is why you you need to have some sort of
52:25finance go to some financial institution and have your monies bank your money so what are the other
52:31plans you all have for tobago moving forward going into ending off the year in a in a big way because
52:38of the things you all are doing and the activities happening coming up entering into the new year so we have um
52:43we have a lot of community engagements going to happen um starting i think starting from next week
52:50where we'll be going to various we're going to um elderly homes um talking to the elderly assisting in
52:59cleaning up the places we are going to do um caravans going around tobago right um it's part of the of
53:08the festive shield um that the police has operation the police has right now yes so we're going around
53:16we'll be going to various places we're going to um just to homes young um girls during vacation yes
53:24during vacation right um we're also going to be delivering hampers to delete it to the needy um but
53:32besides that you know that that is the soft side but we will be out there on the streets we'll be
53:38beating the streets in the business places i'm sure even in the tongue of scarborough they fed up seeing
53:43the police right now because we have been knowing because we have been going out there um we also
53:49going we also going to residents to persons homes and letting them know remind them um because don't
53:55care how much you talk sometimes it's a big it's a bigger culture they will cut they will use their
54:02we um the worker and they will cut the grass and they will just leave the worker either in the gallery
54:08or put it below the house and then somebody will come and take it yes you also have the owner came for
54:14it right they also have around this time you have persons who would want to steal animals so we go
54:22around talking to persons ensuring that they mark the animals because the persons love to sell sheep
54:28and goat around this time yeah right because it's christmas christmas so we remind persons to have the
54:32animals marked brand them or mark them by the air market by the by the feet or some way right we also go
54:39to the financial institutions and we we stay there for a while observe what is happening speak to the
54:46persons there we give out pamphlets and those sort of things we have a colony line let's take this call
54:51hello hello hello good evening hi good evening good evening sir yeah my my issue is that um the
55:02that that situation with that accident you see there where the person was coming out
55:07apparently i think more than 50 percent of the drivers on the road never saw the mandatory driving
55:14regulations in the licensing um to get your driving test because the recklessness and carelessness on
55:23the road is so ignorant people don't even know where the distance from a corner they're supposed to park
55:31and i don't know the police know it neither because up and down the path people park dead on the corner
55:37you don't see a ticket you don't see anything like the reason i had to ask the police run do you also
55:43serve tickets for how people park on a corner right on ryan street which is walking distance from the
55:49police station the police pass up and down and these cars cause real traffic problems because people have
55:57to come out the street one side street and the cars parked dead on the corner and the police will never
56:04never stop and give anybody a ticket for parking like that and i'm saying that the problem is within
56:11also the licensing authority because those people never never saw the driving regulations but get the license
56:20thank you so much caller i guess after the um probably what you call it we want to say too after you go
56:25and you do the regulation you forget about you forget something you forget about it because all you wanted to
56:29do was to get your license you don't remember so sometimes you have to remind persons you have to
56:34show them and when you're going to um when persons are a fall of the law you have to show them listen
56:40this is this is what the reason why i'm giving you this ticket because you are parked too close
56:45nine between nine meters of the corner yes you know but i hope the officers um the station district
56:51which is speak spoke of if anybody's listening that they would assist so we'd like to thank you so much
56:56for being here but before i go britney i want to answer the last call it didn't we have like less
57:00than 10 seconds i just want to see why the prison are filled and we are doing nothing all right so
57:06thank you so much for being here and i still want more to love and of course all my treats
