00:00hey guys welcome back your passes once again this is your host and a game and

00:04today's video I'm gonna be doing yet another movie review all right now here

00:14is a thing this movie is probably pretty late to the party and comes with this

00:21particular movie the problem is it's a long movie so it took me a while to

00:26process it after watch it in fact it took me like two days to watch because of

00:31it's one time I don't but it was worth it in my opinion today I'm going to be

00:36reviewing Jack Snyder's Justice League all right now your big question so on in

00:43this movie is is it worth it after the years of campaigning to get this thing

00:50little beast you know who like me you've been paying attention to the Lisa Snell cut

00:56campaign all the way back to from 2017 when the petition started you have some

01:03pretty high hopes looking to see what the director actually intended for this movie

01:08and after seeing it I have to say it's not the simple answer that many were

01:14expecting obviously okay this is on the guy who didn't watchmen first let's get

01:20into the big changes that they made from that 2017 Frankenstein version aside

01:29from the obvious changes to the aspect ratio this being in a box format this

01:36film is actually has a more connected layer in the storytelling it's taking place

01:44right June previous actually it that's what starts off with the scene in BVS

01:50where where you have Superman he gets jammed their chest by doomsday right

01:56before doomsday got killed and they both died in BVS it starts off and it gives you

02:02different perspective where you see that particular moment ended up creating a

02:09chain reaction that allowed Steppenwolf and Darkseid to make a move and yes Darkseid if

02:18you guys don't know by now he was also involved in this movie to an extent but

02:23not as much as some people were expecting from the trailer he thought thought that

02:29he would probably actually make several appearances in a movie or something like a

02:33supporting character but now he's actually still a behind-the-scenes character

02:37half of all the scenes in the movie was shown in the trailer to be honest but

02:42that's neither here nor there right he was just the afterthought at the moment the

02:47real deal is Steppenwolf and if they did a huge difference with this compared to what

02:54we've previously seen here's this the whole action makes sense what is reasoning he's

03:00actually trying to do this thing get these mother boxes we can do this favor for Darkseid so

03:06you can get off the hook and go back home to say that is actually a much better

03:11reasoning for the character it actually allows them to give the character some

03:17more importance to the writing now outside of that you have the Justice League cast

03:23itself here the Justice League cast actually feels like a team like a Justice League

03:28because you actually see all these scenes and even some that were already seen

03:35before but you see all of them and together and you've seen them actually

03:40changing throughout the movie as they were introduced when they start to interact with

03:45each other they start to learn new things it's actually feels like you're watching this at Justice League

03:52Batman I'd say his character has the the second best moments in the movie after the Flash and then you have Wonder

04:02Wonder Woman as usual Gal Gadot acting and then you have Cyborg who actually plays a much bigger role in the movie

04:09than you thought you know from the director what he said in interviews he said Cyborg was the heart of the story and after watching this movie

04:17he actually had the most stuff done like in his character development compared to the others

04:29Aquaman it's he's actually better here than he was in his own movie I'd still say he's on the lower end compared to the others you know he still has a ways to go then you have Superman he doesn't really have much appearances with the League outside of say the end of the movie

04:35you know towards the end of the movie you know towards the end after he comes back it's a actually pretty good change of pace for Superman here he comes back see him in the black suit it's not the black suit like in the comics black suit Superman is like the evil Superman it's not the black suit like in the comics

04:42it's not the black suit Superman it's not the evil Superman it's not here it's actually has a different meaning I actually I actually understand I get the idea I don't see the head in the comics it's not so that you have a lot of

05:16change here I think it actually suited what they were going for this story now

05:24did all this stuff that we've gotten when it comes to do hiding and all these

05:31extra hours of footage does it make the big difference have a claim it to be and

05:40mapping I think it doesn't definitely does at the same time I think it's which

05:47is a point where it becomes excessive thinking about like four hours long

05:53that's way more than we needed but at the same time it's it's this tax number

06:01just even though the Snyder card this is basically him being as on hinge as free

06:10vain as possible no restrictions per se aside from one which I have to address

06:17in order to do but I will edit that slide for now I am yeah this is about as

06:25directed gem as you can get aside from that one thing from what I've read when you see it in motion

06:31you actually have to appreciate all this stuff more all this stuff lays out but at the same time

06:38comes that course although I will say in this case this movie actually had pretty

06:43decent pacing for each one time it wasn't like too slow pace but it wasn't like super

06:54fast pace here but it was actually paced good enough for a four-hour movie but I

07:00will admit in the defense it is broken up into chapters about six is chapters with an

07:09epilogue so you don't really necessarily have to sit through it if you don't want to be in for the

07:17full force you can just watch a chapter by chapter which actually makes it a much

07:22more pleasant viewing experience right now looking at it from the technical stuff

07:28where comes this the the acting I'd say all the actors did a pretty good job you know

07:35benefit Batman still is legal to Batman he does a much better job here he did in

07:43BBS because you see more Bruce Wayne and you see each tend to realize why they chose him to be

07:51the Batman you see his acting chops on this film here Ray Fisher on display giving his all as Victor Stone and

08:02several you see why he is actually the best choice for the character and I think

08:09these two had the best four months is so the movie all of the other actors actresses you

08:18know Wonder Woman Aquaman Superman

08:24um even cyborg style and those others they they were okay but the main one

08:32standouts mapping was benefit and very for sure the directing for this was and

08:38executed very well which is what you'd expect him get direct like Zack Snyder he is a visual

08:46masterpiece of a artist right this movies always look good so you won't get any complaints here it

08:56comes to the acting the CGI the visuals they're all done very well it's not as good as the visuals in BBS

09:08I think BBS I think BBS had better visual in terms of cinematography I think it

09:14actually comes in a bit ahead from that and that's a huge leap because BBS had some

09:23pretty damn good cinematography but here you know some of the colors are a little bit more brighter

09:28with the change in cinematography but not too much to the point where it was like odd looking like in

09:35that 2017 version of Justice League it was actually a pretty well good then you have the the soundtrack

09:42which I have to say the soundtrack it's good it's not as good as BBS but it's it's actually pretty

09:48good it's it's up there but for me the problem I had with it was the way how it was used in the

09:56movie I think whoever edited the movie or made the soundtrack decisions didn't really have a good

10:02idea on where to when to use a soundtrack because there were quite a bit of scenes throughout the

10:09movie that didn't really need to use the soundtrack like some of the scores in some scenes felt kind

10:16of out of place in my opinion but in the scenes where it actually did fit in it actually nailed them

10:23okay now I think sums up the technical stuff the movie soundtrack great acting good directing flawless

10:32but it's a little bit iffy in some parts right but overall now thinking about how does this all fit in

10:44for this movie thinking about it I wouldn't like really think about a lot since I've seen it I'll have

10:51to say I'd wait this a seven point eight this out and it's it's good I know it doesn't really sound

11:03like much of a a improvement as compared to the previous DCE movies but then again the runtime being

11:12too excessive like four hours is still excessive even though it's built up in the chapters we still

11:19have four hours of content to watch and some of the scenes in the movie didn't need to be in there

11:27like if I've been honestly about the runtime this could have actually you could have actually taken out

11:3640 minutes or so on this leave it like around 3 hours and 10 hours and 20 minutes and just let it focus

11:43on the current situation and it'll probably actually been a lot better but it's not it's four hours I have to

11:51rate it as a whole and as a whole this is where it stands for me good for now which is a little bit

12:02better than like BVS in my opinion not massively better not on the level of Man of Steel which is still

12:09probably the best in the DCEU overall but just enough to make it worth it compared to that

12:18Frankenstein shit we got in the past if you like BVS and Man of Steel and what that were doing you're

12:25gonna love this one if you didn't like those you're not going to like this one that's pretty much where

12:31it is and there isn't really that much room for people in the middle to come to the decision it's just a matter of

12:39or not if you like this take on the characters or if you don't but that's just my overall take on this
