00:29on the gamer today's you're going to be doing yet another anime review okay this one is actually

00:38pretty much a anime given the premise and everything is played out in it and it's been widely circulated

00:47around the interwebs when it started airing causing a lot of controversy right and it kind of got me

00:55curious to what was the hoopla about with this unless i had seen imagery showing up on youtube and

01:02i was like okay now you got my attention okay now today's video i'm gonna be reviewing redo of healer

01:10okay now this shit is on a different level to be honest even by harem standards you know this is

01:18what you usually call anime and yes this is anti stuff so it's going to be like off limits to

01:23those of you who are into that not into that stuff but you may want to check out okay now here's a

01:30thing this is one of your dark fantasy rpg types you know you expect and like you know lordy rings or

01:38game of thrones type storylines that type of way building so there's magic there's no that type that

01:45you expect in a genre so here's the premise let's get into it got this guy whose abilities is healing

01:54hence the name healer and he's taken up by royals in the kingdom and exploiting abuse constantly for his

02:00abilities and even sexual abuse at a point where he is broken mentally physically otherwise but he ends

02:10up getting this sort of artifact that he can use to go back in time and retain the knowledge and memes

02:16that he had so he can redo everything you know his life and get revenge and also as long though

02:25hence the name we do of hero and now in simple terms this is just a revenge story like you know

02:30a john wick or that god awful peppermint movie otherwise known as a female john wick movie you

02:38know or pretty much any liam nissan movie for that matter that this is pretty much like that but with

02:45rpg stuff in it and it need to put it that way it doesn't sound as bad as some of you are making out

02:53to be no rpg revenge story with magic and else and all that stuff in it that actually sounds okay but then

03:00we look at this show and you know this is like pat hentai and oh okay now the protagonist in this

03:10show is kia right he's your main guy the healer and this is where this thing is interesting here kia

03:17is just as bad as the guys who've wronged them which makes it kind of refreshing as the show is not

03:23trying to sell you the you know the good versus bad narrative when it comes to revenge plot like you

03:28know you have to root for your protagonist because he's actually a good guy who was just dealt

03:34um unfairly by these bad crooks it's not that simple here everyone is fucked up in their own way

03:40including the protagonist and the protagonist fucked up is caused by the guys take advantage of him which

03:46brings me to the cast here you have kia the main guy who's a gifted healer right the story was on him

03:54then you're afraid to suppose hero and prince of the general kingdom she's the main cause of kia

04:00who's suffering seeing him as some human he gets his revenge on her first week and

04:08bruh they hold no punches yeah it's about as gruesome and unsadistic as you'd expect

04:15and then some and to be honest i'm not mad in the slightest and i'll tell you why

04:20throughout the show they have flashbacks and callbacks to the past life he had prior to the

04:26redoing where you see she and her henchmen abuse him constantly and jogging him to death basically

04:34and in a way we think about these things probably does sort of like make you more sympathetic to him

04:40realizing the shit he's been through it sort of humanizes his character makes you kind of root for

04:47msn because you're like oh these guys were way out of the land what they were doing to him so yeah

04:53i can see that right so i can agree with that but what he does do is that personal land my opinion is

05:03and this might be spoilers territory but at the same time i don't really care because i know you

05:07guys aren't really going to give a shit about spoilers when it comes to something like this

05:12but what he does that crossing the line is brainwashing her into becoming his companion

05:18and doing his bidding and this goes to show you that some people are just too broken to be

05:24redeemed because they're lost in that sort of tragic um stuff that they've been dealt with in the past

05:33which i also gotta mention while they was talking on the abuse and they went back and destroyed the

05:38virgin abuse and killed that special son who was looking after him while his parents passed away

05:45which is what actually threw him off the window it comes to any form of sympathy he would have had for them

05:52that is where i was like okay yeah this guy all these people f all these people you know what

06:00i'm not really going to fault them for what he does at this point because these guys have

06:04wronged you so much that they are basically evoked their human card in my opinion even though they

06:10some of them might not be human because you know the whole rpg stuff but yeah they really overdid it

06:16or you also have setsuna who is a demi-human that was also wronged by the general kingdom and she was

06:23also turned into a slave as a result so here you have a sort of common ground with her and

06:30the protagonist right she also wants revenge and you know the protagonist of kiyao he understands this

06:37and her background he uses it to sort of like make her another one of his companions and eventually

06:45makes her into a slave you know where all the hint of stuff starts happening yeah this is where you

06:51start to see her harem starts forming then you also have eve reese a demon and soon to be demon lord

07:02and she shows up i think i was halfway in there's not very much there too or the fact that she has to be

07:08a demon lord right then you have kihua clan right she's a female knight also known as the blade goddess

07:16and she shows up earlier and she opposes kihua at first but then becomes drawn to his cause and

07:25eventually another one of his slaves after finding out the harsh morality of the kingdoms and the

07:32what the royals that she was simping for the whole time now for the rest of these characters now the

07:38villains side you have bleed another sword hero from the kingdom right but she is the one who is under

07:48you know the princess rule and she is one of the villains she is one perverted bitch bro i tell you

07:55what okay she has this thing out of it that she tends to rape girls together and in the previous world she was

08:06tormenting kihua and abusing him for on the missions because he was interacting with flair

08:15but i will say that when it comes to her they do have the photography something interesting when it

08:20comes to her you know fetish and to be honest that was one of the most satisfying parts of the show

08:27given this even if those was really fucked up it was actually satisfying you know in terms of the story

08:33and then you have bullet he's the canon hero that was another abuser of kia in the other world this

08:43dude has no balance he literally rapes constantly is because of the trauma here kia doesn't have to

08:52sing a main to his part because of the trauma from this experience and i find it interesting because

08:58like they actually have a reason for his party being only woman you know unlike other harems where

09:04this happens to have a bunch of women in this harem right here they actually put in a reason for it

09:10so like actually not really interesting and then the last but not least you have ellen the second

09:16princess of the kingdom and sister to flair she eventually comes jealous and hated of flair

09:26because flair ends up awakening a magic hero and takes a spotlight first and because of that she

09:33ends up running the kingdom in her own sadistic manner and tries to take over the throne

09:40but the the revenge kia will got on her is probably the most sadistic canon now when it comes to the whole

09:47plot the whole plot in itself is fucked up like i said it's been a revenge story with

09:52it's still interesting to watch as it shows you the harsh reality when it comes to people

10:03you know in power and royalty and what they can do behind closed doors of the public it also goes to

10:10show you that some people are just too broken to be redeemed i mean you can't really give everyone a

10:16redemption story even the main game comes to a tragedy he's not a good guy in the slightest like

10:23i said earlier he even acknowledges that he is fucked up at one point like he acknowledges the insanity

10:30so i can't really fault him for it you know he's that anti-hero who's not trying to better himself

10:37and he's aware of it he has self-awareness of it which is very refreshing as most anti he was nowadays

10:43he's trying to be the good guy to win over affection from people that's fucking stupid

10:47because that's not what an anti-hero is anti-hero is someone that's not doesn't really care about

10:53affection they just do what they feel like what i will fault him for or in this case the the show is

11:00the rpg system here the kind of powers that you see he have any portrayals you know what he can do with

11:07them is so off the chain that is basically broken that's like he's so op that he can kill someone by

11:16touching them with his magic basically blowing them up aside from being able to heal people

11:23or adjust people's body shape and stuff like that like this level of op in a hero pretty much defeats the

11:32purpose of you know melee defense units or any other character type in the rpg system you know i just

11:41find it so bizarre thinking about it and seeing seeing how it was playing out i was like oh this guy is

11:49too broken and too op now when it comes to the technical stuff for the sun as i gotta mention this um

11:56um the animation style was pretty i mean like pretty average like if you compare to other enemies yeah it

12:06is kind of um above other enemies in terms of the animation but compared to your common anime it's like

12:15very average um the the storytelling hello this dude this is actually very impressive very rich storytelling

12:24for a family i think it's a lot that's the only reason what really had it stood out in my opinion

12:31and the the the soundtrack the soundtrack is actually okay the voice acting i can't really say for the

12:39voice acting because it's subtitle the first episode i think was dubbed but then like everything else was

12:47just you know substrate apparently did the dubbing studio they couldn't commit to dubbing the whole

12:53thing but they agreed to do it first off but then they jump out last minute after realizing oh wait

13:06this storyline is actually not good for business you know that sort of approach i really hate when they do

13:27that like know your shit first before you get into it at least please okay that's not the same

13:33when it comes to that part right so yeah if you're really into subtitles you know you probably gonna have to

13:41pass on this one right now like i said earlier this this show it's very rich in storytelling it has a

13:51pretty interesting world and if i'm being honest i'd actually be looking forward to seeing more of it

13:58you know even though it is pretty fucked up like some of the stuff that they do in the show is pretty

14:04fucked up but i kind of felt like really intrigued with you know the this this world that they're in

14:10and these characters these all these teams going on and looking into this there's actually stuff for a

14:19season two you know when you look at the manga there is more stuff that could go season two but

14:26i don't think this is going to get a season two given all the hoopla going around it or at least not

14:30anytime soon i really find it interesting because you don't really see enemies nowadays tackling these sort of

14:39themes about you know politics or like revenge or these sort of like themes that you'd usually see

14:49handled at face value this anime actually goes way into it and it does so unapologetically which is

14:58the best way to do it you know and for that i actually have to commend it you know to be honest

15:02after watching the whole thing i'm actually kind of find myself at all like why the hell so most people

15:08hate this you know aside from the the hentai stuff and the actual stuff he's doing when it comes to

15:14the revenge part there everything else here is actually done very well you know the storytelling

15:21the character the development the writing even though they could have probably touched upon it

15:29everything is actually doing very well i can't really fault it for that you know so yeah overall

15:33gonna sum this up i have to give this i'll say we do a feeler is is good you know it's actually pretty

15:43good once you can look past the behavior of shit happening so overall sum this up we do a feeler guys

15:53it's surprisingly good anime you know i just got a bad bad whip because of the online community and

16:00you know the fact that there's a hand with a lot of crazy stuff going on in it but yeah

16:09other than that actually good surprise me in some ways but that is my take on it though i'm looking
