00:06i have to say this is probably really a really underwhelming startup to this dceu
00:13um outing that james god is promoting okay and i will preface this first when the news broke about
00:21you know handicap will be out and that whole stuff has been scrapped you know that was back
00:28when i was watching black adam and reviewed and that's extremely disappointed at that time but
00:35i decided you know what i'm just gonna sit back and wait and hear him out and see what
00:41he has in store and that's exactly what he did a few days ago he he gave out some announcements
00:49or projects that's in the work even gave some release dates which is really surprising because
00:56i wasn't expecting him to give any dates for like these projects coming out right he mentioned
01:02dates for the batman 2 which is officially in the works now there's no rumors batman is literally
01:09getting a sequel and he even mentioned a date for his superman project superman legacy which is actually
01:16going to come out before the batman sequel that is actually something that i wasn't expecting
01:21you know he's already had the superman stuff on the wraps and from what i've been reading and
01:28listening to people's you know opinions on this whole new slate announced it seems that the superman
01:34legacy that he has is going to be the actual jump starter for this new dce that he's building to
01:44now aside of that he announced an animation project which i don't really
01:47give a give a shit about i mean i know that's there for you know to just feed as appetizers for
01:54the fanbase since they're very um they have very little content so i understand him announcing these
02:02you know animated series but i just don't really care about them what i am looking at is these moves that
02:10he announced and i will say it's not interesting at all to me like sure the batman is getting a sequel
02:21i think i was pretty much expected to get a sequel but at the same time the batman they already
02:27confirm that it's not connected to his dc like his universe that he's building to the batman is actually
02:35an elsewhere story just like the joker they're going to remain elsewhere so this means he's going to
02:44have to introduce a new batman for his batman and robin stuff that he's going to be working up to
02:53so yeah i'm looking at this this is pretty much it's where because it's about as close as a reset you can
03:02get to without calling an actual full reset right because he's still trying to hold on to stuff from
03:11his you know suicide squad his peacemaker and that kind of stuff and those stuff kind of ties back to
03:17the the old dceu that he's looking to scrap out you know with the flash coming out this year and the
03:26aquaman and all that stuff is going to be the end of this previous dceu and i just can't help but feel
03:34that listening to him right and seeing all this stuff coming out it sounds like it's the same
03:42shit they're doing as the last people but it's like the same shit but just for that different person
03:49like oh they said they're going to go on to reboot and wipe out a clean slate and then they do do this
03:59all right they didn't they didn't really do a clean slate here like if you think about it like sure
04:05they're announcing new stuff and they're not doing with the previous plans for that universe but
04:12it doesn't feel like a clean slate looking at it and looking at the projects he's discussing
04:21all the stuff that he's interested in doing you know with this um suicide squad stuff and the
04:27superman legacy i'm of the opinion that i don't think it's going to do good um i mean it might get
04:37good reviews sure i mean the suicide squad got good reviews peacemaker got good reviews but i don't
04:42think it's going to be that it's going to do those numbers that the studio would want them to do
04:50especially looking at all the dc was handled prior you know it this seems like it's going to be another
04:59set of thoughts in this new chapter they are turning two and i'm not really all that hyped about it
05:11to yourself and i just feel really disappointed because you had like a little bit of stuff that
05:21you could have worked with with the psdc and with henry canvill like there was a bit of hope there and
05:27all that went out the window you know black adam obviously i mean you know disappointing and then
05:33they just basically had henry canvill exit after making an announcement i think that was pretty much
05:42the death of the dce you and not just the dce but dc in general because these projects i don't see
05:52there being any big hits to be honest you know overall i just can't help but feel disappointment man
06:02so yeah guys overall let's prejudge my thoughts here on this new slate of dcr announcements that
06:07james corner is doing but um right now this this looks not interesting to me at all in the slightest
06:16uh maybe he might announce something later down in the world that might be interesting but
06:23to be honest i really don't care because you scrapped the previous stuff that was actually
06:29building to something rewarding and this is where you're gonna start off with 2025 superman legacy you
06:38know it feels like it was a waste but but yeah overall that's pretty much my thoughts guys and let me know
