00:00Final time, they'll load into the gate.
00:06We're headed to Australia next, the Gold Coast.
00:09That will be the third round of the 2025 championship of five.
00:15Cole Thompson ready to go.
00:18Jordi Tixier there on the right, the Yamaha rider out of France.
00:21He's one of the SX1 riders out there watching the start, getting a sneak peek.
00:27Now, I will say that there are 16 gates.
00:30We have 14 riders.
00:31If you notice, there's a tough block in gate 1 and gate 16.
00:35That's why the inside gate with Cole Thompson was actually number 2 and not number 1.
00:41Final shot to try to get the whole shot and be the first one to carpe turn number 1.
00:47See who can pull that off here in about 30 seconds.
00:51See Cole and Park, how fired up he is right now.
00:53Now, I have to imagine that after the last race, race 2, making that pass, making it stick,
00:59getting a little bit of freedom there in the last two laps and opening it up has him feeling great.
01:03But Jeff, he's got to get a start.
01:05He's got to be in that front group so he's not buried in fighting and battling for something that's not as meaningful.
01:10And it's all going to be the first five feet off this pad for Cole and Park.
01:14The blipping of the throttle is going to turn to a rise in the revs here.
01:17Here they come.
01:18Get ready.
01:20Gate drop in Vancouver right now.
01:21And guess who's first to the carpe turn number 1?
01:28You got it.
01:28It's the Englishman on the 99, Max Anstey.
01:31He leads him into this rhythm section.
01:34And Anstey trying to go perfect once again here in Vancouver.
01:40Kyle Peters slots into second.
01:42They actually credited him with the whole shot.
01:44But it's Anstey who comes out of that first corner with the lead.
01:47Yeah, and Cullen Park buried back in the pack coming out of that finish line turn.
01:52He was getting hit on each side of his bike, just banging elbows.
01:57There he is right there.
01:58And guess who's just in front of him?
02:00Thompson.
02:01Even though they both had a rough start, they still find each other.
02:04This one's scheduled for 12 laps.
02:09Better start for Kyle Peters, too, getting up front.
02:11He was really good in that first one in the lead pack.
02:14Lost a couple spots, but now he gets a chance with some clear air in that front group.
02:18Little mistake in the corner.
02:19Cody Schock sits back in third.
02:21Then it's Lopes and McElrath almost part of part through the Wolves here as they fight over Ford.
02:25There they are.
02:27Lopes is on that 16, hanging on the inside.
02:29McElrath trying to come around the outside.
02:31He's been on the primary bike, the backup bike, back of the primary bike.
02:36I'm not sure which one he's on right now.
02:38I'm guessing the primary.
02:40But the way his night's been going, who knows?
02:43But the one thing McElrath doesn't do is quit.
02:46He continues the reigning champ with that number one play.
02:51Take a look at the lap times.
02:52Anstey was a 56.4, so the track not quite as quick as it was earlier in the night.
02:58And Schock with that triple right there in the rhythm section, singles out.
03:03McElrath making a move on Lopes.
03:06Got him.
03:11And here comes Schock trying to catch up to Peters.
03:15What's the fight for second as they dive into the Wolves?
03:17Yeah, both hopping through the Wolves right there.
03:20Schock needs to make the move on Peters.
03:23Trying to get inside here, Jeff.
03:24Here he comes.
03:25Cody gets a wheel out in front of him.
03:27Cody Schock on the 69.
03:28Trying to take second and does.
03:30And these two know each other well.
03:32They've been battling every day for the last six weeks.
03:35McElrath now, Daniel.
03:35He's trying to make a move here as well.
03:38McElrath trying to get around Peters.
03:40And Lopes coming with him.
03:41Lopes gets back around McElrath.
03:42So they're going to switch over Ford.
03:45And Peters, due to that fight behind him, gets a little bit of breathing room.
03:49Oh, that's close.
03:51McElrath pushing hard here on that one.
03:55Lopes defends as they get to the corner.
03:57Yeah, Lopes had to single into that rhythm section, but he gets the triple out.
04:01Stuffs him back.
04:02What a battle for Ford.
04:04Lopes wants that podium overall.
04:06McElrath and Peters behind him in points.
04:09Want to make sure that Park and Thompson don't come anywhere near him.
04:12So he can secure that third overall tonight.
04:14Watching Kyle Peters on the 110 coming at you on the green bike.
04:18Kawasaki mounted rider.
04:21And we see Lopes right behind him on the 16, all in the red riding gear.
04:26So now the race is on for the lead.
04:28Anstey goes across the finish line, 57.2.
04:33Cody Schock, 56.3.
04:36Schock, the fastest rider on the track.
04:38He was the second quicker than the leader, Max Anstey.
04:41Cody Schock with the words, I can, I will, on his handlebar pad.
04:46Believing in himself right now as he's putting in the best laps of the night.
04:50He's ridden so far when it could pay off the most.
04:54Almost to the halfway point here in race number three.
04:59The gap between Lopes and McElrath, less than a second as they fight over fourth.
05:04There's Wageman on the 64 and Robbie back in 10.
05:11I cannot believe this.
05:13Cody Schock on that Arby's Yamaha is riding incredible right now.
05:19I mean, Anstey has set the mark.
05:21He's won everything so far this season.
05:23And Schock is inching up closer and closer.
05:28And if he could pass Anstey, that would give him the overall here tonight in Canada.
05:33It's one thing to write, I can, I will.
05:35It's another thing to absolutely believe that you can do it.
05:38And he is doing that, Jeff.
05:39You can see it in how he's riding.
05:41He is charging forward at every second of the lap.
05:44And he's the closest that he's been.
05:48And for Max Anstey, as perfect as he's been, the one thing he hasn't had to deal with is pressure.
05:54Real, real pressure.
05:55And he's been perfect so far.
05:57So maybe for him, this is okay as well.
05:59But he's about to have a test he has not had yet this season.
06:03Here's the event standings as you look down below with the fight the way it is right now.
06:07Anstey would win the overall by five over Schock.
06:10And then Lopes and Peters behind him in the top four.
06:13The thing for Schock now, as we are at the halfway point, he knows he can do this.
06:19He has shown to himself, I can run the same lap time as Anstey.
06:24I can fight this guy.
06:25So now he can truly believe he can get this done and push hard here in these final few laps.
06:31Yeah, and it seems like they each have a section of the track that they're a little better than the other guy.
06:37And which ones are they?
06:38Well, it's hard to say.
06:40I think around the finish line area, it seems like Schock has it.
06:43And then you get through this next section, it seems like Anstey's pulled out a little bit.
06:47And now Schock's back on him again.
06:48But this battle here with Peters and Lopes, Peters on that 110, he's in third.
06:59And then I'm back, Bud racing Kawasaki.
07:01And here come the top two right at you.
07:04Different approach to the whoops this time as Cody jumps through him.
07:08And he gets up into the tough blocks, knocks a couple of them over.
07:14Yeah, I think the triple, triple, triple in the whoops is more consistent.
07:18Here comes Lopes.
07:19But Anstey's been phenomenal blitzing.
07:21But it might take just one step out, one mistake that will tighten this thing up.
07:26But how about Kyle Peters just putting together solid laps?
07:29Here comes Enzo Lopes, the little bit quicker.
07:30Oh, we got one down here.
07:33Is that Wageman?
07:35It may be Chisholm.
07:36Or Chisholm.
07:37Chisholm went dropping through the field.
07:39Here comes Lopes pushing on Peters who looks over to his left, sees him there, can't block him in the corner.
07:45And I think Lopes is going to get the position as they get to the next turn.
07:49No, he goes too wide.
07:51And that opens the door back up for Peters.
07:53And then McElrath and Park come charging into the frame.
07:57There you are sitting fifth and sixth.
08:01We've been delivered incredible race three battles this season.
08:05Four all bunched up again, just like in Buenos Aires.
08:09Out to end, different cut-ins.
08:11Park joins the party.
08:12Bosh is in.
08:13Bosh gets around the 110 of Peters here now.
08:17And Enzo moves up in front of him.
08:18He'll take over third.
08:21And Park is right behind Peters now with McElrath behind him as you watch the fight here inside the top five.
08:28That's third, fourth, and fifth.
08:30Man, Cullen Park has just been in the middle of it all night long.
08:34Unfortunately, it's not for the lead, but, boy, he has made some of the racing extremely exciting.
08:41Park pushing on the 43.
08:47Trying to find a way around Peters.
08:51Kawasaki Ryder having the best night he's had so far in the 2025 World Supercross Championship.
08:57Here it is.
08:58Here it is.
08:59Park to the inside.
09:00Can he get it done?
09:02No.
09:03Yeah, he did.
09:05Gets him coming into the whoops.
09:07Yeah, Park changed it up, too.
09:08Now he's jumping.
09:09But I think those whoops are so torn up at this point that these guys have resorted to plan B.
09:13Now, A&C, we saw he's continued to blitz.
09:15But Park was great in him in the first two races.
09:19Now he's jumping him.
09:20And he's not done.
09:21Enzo Lopes is right there.
09:22We talked about that podium overall.
09:24Cullen Park has locked in on the 16 of Lopes.
09:27That's where the battle's going to be to close this out.
09:29You see that you're still attending to the down rider over there.
09:33Chisholm Kyle down on his Suzuki here.
09:37Here's our race leader at the top of the frame on the left.
09:41That's Max Anstey trying to go perfect once again here in Vancouver.
09:46And he's just two laps away from sweeping every race so far in 2025.
09:50Well, and Max Anstey has just started to inch away from Cody's shock.
09:56Anstey's lead 2.5 seconds right now.
09:59So that's going to give him a little bit of breathing room here with just about two laps to go.
10:04Speaking of breathing, Anstey even pointed out in the last interview with Kristen
10:07that he wasn't feeling 100%.
10:09He's struggling a little bit with his health.
10:11And he's still putting in a perfect night.
10:14Yeah, it's an incredible ride for him.
10:16I mean, he just shows where his program is at.
10:19And he's executed great starts.
10:22And by being up front like that, he's been able to just ride his own race, as they say,
10:28but have a clear track to where he's not focusing and having to bang bars like Colin Park and Cole Thompson.
10:34Right?
10:34He's just up there trying to stay focused and hit his marks lap after lap and just be perfect.
10:41So far, so good.
10:42Only a couple laps to go.
10:44Anstey, the Yamaha rider, one and a half seconds up on Cody's shock.
10:48Still opting to skim through the whoops and then a little jump at the end.
10:55Boy, there is no weakness in his program right now, is there?
10:59It is just perfect.
11:01Well, and he's best in the areas that matter the most, the starts and the whoops.
11:05If you can get off the gate, you can handle the whoops all night long, and you're working with the most speed, you're going to be hard to beat.
11:12And this race was the first time he had some real pressure.
11:15Someone right there where he could hear him, and he handled that, too.
11:18So he's just checked every box on the way to possibly going 6-0.
11:22He can close it down.
11:24Top three on the racetrack are the top three in the overall points right now.
11:29Anstey, five up on Cody's shock.
11:31If they stay this way, that's how they will finish the overall here tonight as we are on the final lap.
11:38Shock went for that big jump right there.
11:40Came up short.
11:41Opted to not do the triple.
11:42But late in the race, still creative, looking for something that's good to see out of Cody's shock.
11:47One final pass through this nasty whoops section, and Anstey has made it look easy here tonight.
11:53There have been six SX2 races in 2025.
11:57Max Anstey is about to win the sixth of the year.
12:03Here he comes to the checkered flag.
12:06Max Anstey lights the candles with another overall win in 2025.
12:11As he goes perfect, three for three here in Vancouver at the Canadian GP.
12:18Cody's shock and Enzo Lopes will finish second and third here in BC Place.
12:25That's the fourth overall win for Max Anstey and the 15th race career win for him here in World Supercross competition.
12:35Watching the rest of the field cross the finish line.
12:46And let's give you the full race results here as Noah Viney was the last one across the line.
12:55There's the overall winner gathering his thoughts, getting a drink.
13:02Fans having a great night here at BC Place, seeing another tremendous SX2 battle here.
13:07And we still have the SX1 main event yet to go here in Vancouver.
13:12Here's those results getting ready to come up.
13:14There's Max Anstey, your Team GSM winner here tonight on the Yamaha.
13:22And here are those results.
13:27Behind the top three, Colin Park hangs on for a fourth.
13:31And look at that, a couple of riders back.
13:33You'll finally find Cole Thompson about four spots down from Park.
13:37That's the furthest apart they've been all night.
13:39Yeah, the first time, right?
13:40Good ride for Michael Hicks, another top ten.
13:44Yeah.
13:46And some of the highlights, guys.
13:48It was Anstey getting a rocket start, but not as good as Peters, who actually got the whole shot.
13:54But Anstey quickly got around him in turn one and disappeared.
13:57Yeah, I was impressed with Peters.
14:00Really had a strong ride, battled hard for his position.
14:04Shock would get by in Lopes.
14:06And great battle back here between Lopes and McElrath.
14:09Really good battles throughout the top five.
14:15And you just felt like Cody Shock was just putting the pressure on.
14:19And could he get close enough to at least show Anstey a wheel or, you know,
14:23but Anstey right at the end just pulled out a couple second lead.
14:27Tough break for Kyle Chisholm.
14:28You see him down on the ground as he crashed three quarters of the way or so through this one.
14:35Phenomenal ride from Anstey.
14:37Top to bottom, handled the whoops.
14:39Kristen, Max Anstey gets his fourth overall win in his 15th race win here tonight.
14:45Max Anstey is undefeated here in 2025.
14:49Tactical, gritty.
14:51What words would you use to describe the racing here tonight?
14:55Well, it was a lot of fun, Vancouver.
14:57I really enjoyed it.
14:59I executed well.
15:01My goal, you know, after last year.
15:03And I mean, I had a great weekend last weekend.
15:05But, man, this week I didn't even get to ride.
15:08And I was pretty sick.
15:10You know, we've got to deal with these things.
15:12But for me, a big thing that I've been working on is trying to execute when things aren't perfect.
15:17And, man, I was pleased with myself tonight.
15:19That was a tricky track.
15:21The whoops were tough.
15:22The rocks, everything.
15:23And Cody and Enzo, they were riding great tonight.
15:27It's hard.
15:28I've got to stay on my toes.
15:29Execute the starts.
15:31Pleased with myself.
15:32Thanks, Star Racing, back at home in Cairo for making this happen.
15:36With the team GSM here, the collaboration for me to be able to be a part of this World Supercross Championship
15:40and fight for another world title.
15:42It means a lot to me.
15:43And, yeah, I'm looking forward to the next round.
15:46Why does it mean so much to you?
15:48You've mentioned that before.
15:49I think for me, being from the U.K., being from Britain and wanting to take part in Supercross,
15:55you know, the U.S. was always the dream and the stars and stripes.
15:59But now being a part of this and being able to showcase Supercross around the world,
16:04you know, five different continents this year, five different players, completely different places,
16:07completely different crowds.
16:08And for me, it's really important.
16:11And I've always dreamed of World Championship.
16:12And for me, it means a lot from coming from the U.K. and being a part of Supercross.
16:17So, yeah, that's why.
16:19Max, well done.
16:20I'll let you head over this way.
16:21I think there were some kids trying to get your attention that you promised.
16:25And finishing second on the night, Cody Shock.
16:28Cody, I can, I will on your handlebars.
16:31What have you been tapping into this season, your second consecutive podium?
16:35You know, just, I kind of sound like I'm being repetitive, but just being in the moment.
16:41You know, us racers, yes, we are appraised and, you know, we have this glory life.
16:47But it is stressful when you have a lot of people watching you day in and day out.
16:51So I'm trying to just keep it fun.
16:54That's why we started it.
16:55And, yeah, second on the night.
16:57I say this jokingly, but I'm the first loser.
16:59But my mindset is I'm the first person to learn, and I really closed the gap on Max.
17:06It's got to be better towards the end.
17:09Fix my little mistakes, and we'll go back to work at Club of X with Brandon.
17:14And we got Chad Reed down there, which is pretty cool.
17:16So very, very grateful for life.
17:20And to have my wife by my side and Justin Brayton and my mechanic, Dakota.
17:24Like, we have such a good group.
17:26So, yeah, we'll go back to club, get back to work, and we're going to put Rick Ware and Arby's up top
17:32and really deliver this meat rocket.
17:36And finishing third overall in the night.
17:38Thanks so much, Cody.
17:39That's all I've got for that closing statement.
17:43Enzo Lopes, third overall, draped in the Brazilian flag.
17:49A fifth in Argentina, now a third here.
17:51At one moment in race three, you had three riders behind you.
17:57How did you respond to that level of pressure?
17:59Yeah, it was a fight.
18:00You know, I wanted to turn it around after Argentina.
18:02I wanted to do a better show for my fans back home, you know, which was an ideal fifth place.
18:07So to come out here, get a third, you know, like you said, last moto.
18:10I had four guys on me.
18:12So it was a fight, but I felt me, Max, and Cody, we had a bit more speed throughout the whole day.
18:18So that was nice.
18:19And, yeah, I just want to go to Australia and do well.
18:22Just want to say thanks to all my fans in Brazil.
18:23Like, I think it's like two or three in the morning, everyone watching.
18:26Thank you so much.
18:27This is for you guys.
18:28You've always said that racing in the World Supercross Championship has been a dream come true.
18:34And finally, we were able to visit South America.
18:35We didn't get to hear from you after that.
18:37But what was it like to race in front of so many of your fans?
18:40And now I'm sure they're watching you at home finish on the podium.
18:43It was unreal, to be honest.
18:45And I'm glad I didn't do any interviews just because I was so pissed off after the race, you know,
18:50because I wanted to be on the box so bad.
18:52So to do it here, it's so nice, people watching at home.
18:55Thank you so much, guys.
18:56I appreciate it.
18:57Enzo Lopes rounding out the podium here in Vancouver.
19:01He did a great job, Kristen.
19:03And as you take a look at the standings, Enzo Lopes finished third in that last race.
19:09And that's going to put him third overall here tonight.
19:13And you can see he's third in the championship standings as we get ready to head down under.
19:19That's the next stop.
19:19We're going to the Gold Coast of Australia, where Max Anstey will continue to try to be perfect.
19:25And the SX2 class is done for the night.
19:34We've got one more 12-lapper for the SX1s.
19:37But, Jeff, coming off of that 250 race there, Max Anstey has been phenomenal.
19:41The ball is rolling.
19:43How are they going to stop that?
19:44What's going to be the ticket to putting that, just putting a bump in the road?
19:48I mean, it's been flawless.
19:49It's been perfect.
19:50Someone's got to do something.
19:51What can they do?
19:52Well, Cody Shock is obviously getting closer with the race.
19:56But every hole shot, Max Anstey is right out front.
20:01So the main thing that they're going to have to figure out between the travel from Vancouver down to Australia
20:07is they're going to have to figure out how to get the bikes to start in front of Max Anstey.
20:12Because then you have the opportunity, you know, to sort of knock him off of his game.
20:16But by starting out front, he's just in his zone.
20:19And then you're chasing.
20:20So if I was Rick Ware and those Arby's Yamahas, some of the other teams,
20:27I'd be focusing on trying to get that bike off the line and grab some hole shots.
20:31Maybe it starts with the Super Bowl.
20:34Maybe beat him there so you get a better gate pick.
20:36Looked like Shock was outside of him tonight.
20:39Drag raced him pretty well a couple times.
20:40But Anstey just had the line on him.
20:42Kyle Peters with a great start.
20:44So there's riders getting in there in the first corner.
20:46But he seems to take care of business by corner, too.
20:49So maybe that first lap has to be better, too, for the guys?
20:51Maybe the first lap, yeah.
20:53I mean, obviously, you know, you're trying to piece all of these things together.
20:56But with the start, yeah, you get out front, maybe do some sprint,
21:00maybe do some one-lap sprints back at the training facility of, like, instantly being ready to go.
21:06I think that's a great plan also.
21:08Max Anstey with a one.
21:12Cody Shock, Enzo Lopes rounding out the podium.
21:15Yamaha's doing very well here in Vancouver on a very tough track,
21:20a tricky track that seems to be getting a little tougher as the night goes on.
