00:00Finally entering, and we're underway in Vancouver.
00:03Tomac with a great start.
00:05He's going to get the hole shot on that Red Bull KTM.
00:08Wow, massive hole shot, and Roxen's mid-pack.
00:11Yes, he is. He's back in about 10th position.
00:14There he is right there jumping into your screen.
00:17But out front, it's the Red Bull KTM of Eli Tomac with Justin Cooper
00:21right behind him on the 32 in second place.
00:25We all know that Eli Tomac loves power, wants power.
00:29I talked to Ian Harrison today after practice,
00:31and he said, we're giving him everything we got.
00:33He used all of it there.
00:34And look who just moved into third on the Suzuki.
00:37That's Anderson.
00:38But look at how fast Roxen has gotten into the top five.
00:42And here he comes trying to get inside of Christian Craig.
00:44That'll put him in fourth.
00:45He's got it done now.
00:46He's on his teammate's backside.
00:48Yeah, Roxen made a really aggressive pass.
00:51He knows that Tomac's out front.
00:53Can he not waste any time?
00:54Anderson knows he's there.
00:55Now Obre allows his teammate to go by.
00:57And Roxen's up to third, closing on Cooper.
01:01Clashes of Millville.
01:02Ken Roxen goes through the field so good on opening laps.
01:06He sees the track different.
01:07He talks about the fast twitch muscles that he uses.
01:10Perfect example of it there.
01:11He wastes no time on anybody on the opening laps.
01:16Ken Roxen on that progressive PMG Suzuki going after him.
01:21He's got his teammate behind him holding down third.
01:25And he's got his arch nemesis up in front of him.
01:28All right.
01:28So here's the challenge for Ken Roxen.
01:31He needs to get past Justin Cooper.
01:34But he's also 3.1 seconds behind Tomac.
01:38So he can't lose any more time.
01:40And he has to make the move and then try to reel in Tomac.
01:43Last time around, Tomac was a 54.1 and Roxen was a 55.3.
01:49Roxen is right there on Cooper.
01:50He's got him to the outside.
01:53Into the whoops they go.
01:54And you've got a new rider in second place.
01:56His name is Ken Roxen, a two-time World Supercross champ.
01:59Well, and this was my comment before the race started.
02:02I feel like the only two riders that are going to be able to make some passes
02:06if they don't get the start is going to be Tomac or Roxen.
02:10Well, Tomac didn't need it.
02:12Roxen just proved that point right.
02:14But now does he have the speed to catch Eli Tomac?
02:18Okay, a 55.2 for Tomac, a 54.6 for Roxen.
02:23The gap over the finish line jump, 2.7 seconds on that last lap.
02:27We're a fourth of the way through this one.
02:30Let's see how it plays out.
02:31Well, he's got the speed.
02:32He's proven that.
02:33Now, can he sustain it?
02:35Because this track is the toughest it's been all night long.
02:38Tractor's done their best, but this thing is rutted up.
02:41We're not even halfway through.
02:42Points as we run Tomac up by four.
02:45That's how they would finish.
02:46The overall would go to Tomac, and he would break the tie with Roxen.
02:52Tomac, once again, at the end of that whoops section,
02:55that Red Bull KTM was a little bit side-to-side with that rear wheel.
02:59Roxen better through the whoops that time around.
03:02Look at him cutting the turn right there, cutting down early,
03:05and staying out of all of those nasty ruts.
03:07It was a half a second quicker than Tomac.
03:11Yeah, he ran a 54.3 to a 54.8, and he shaved off a few tenths.
03:17The gap is now 2.2 between the top two as we get into lap five here.
03:22Different rhythms before that triple, Tomac doing the big line.
03:26Kenny staying low and doing that tap off the tabletop.
03:29So I love that about this track.
03:30You don't have to take the same line.
03:32A lot of different things are working.
03:34These two are using different options.
03:36That might be the key as we close this thing down and this track tears apart.
03:40Roxen was 3 1⁄2 seconds behind Tomac when he made the pass on Justin Cooper.
03:46Now it's 1 1⁄2 seconds.
03:49He's chopped it in half, and we have about half of the race left to go.
03:54One thing we know that is not going to come into play here with these two athletes is fitness.
03:59They are both at the top of their game when it comes to fitness.
04:03You see the two different lines.
04:09Tomac going over those breaking bumps, going to the outside.
04:12Roxen trying to draw, you know, take the shorter line to the inside.
04:18And I like what Roxen does right here.
04:20Doubles up onto the bird.
04:22But watch how he cuts down to a clean line.
04:25Look at this, the ultimate lap so far tonight.
04:27Tomac has put together the quickest sectors in all four here tonight.
04:33He would have the ultimate lap if you could piece the perfect lap together.
04:37He is really ripping on that Red Bull KTM.
04:42Hammering those whoops.
04:43Dropped in with a little 3 out.
04:45They found that line.
04:46Cody Schock was doing it earlier.
04:47Kenny's done it in this race as well.
04:50Guys, as he crosses the finish line jump,
04:52Eli Tomac is halfway home here in race number three from the checkered flag.
04:57Well, the gap was one and a half seconds.
05:00Now it's almost three seconds.
05:02Yeah, 2.8.
05:03Just like that, Tomac drops the hammer.
05:06He's found his lines.
05:07He's found the groove and the focus.
05:09He had the pressure of Roxen.
05:12And that intensity back there just has spurred him on.
05:16Oh, and Roxen flips a tough block.
05:19That's not going to help him at all.
05:22He's still working at the Suzuki, the number 94.
05:27He's got a lot of time left, plenty of time.
05:30But Justin Cooper hasn't fallen off the back that much either.
05:35He's still in third.
05:36Anderson has continued to hold off Christian Craig on the 28.
05:40And behind them is Joey Savace, running in sixth.
05:46Throw some respect out to those boys.
05:48Still blitzing those whoops all the way through, as beat up as they are.
05:52Two of your taller riders, known for their whoop speed, late in this race, late in this night.
05:57Still blitzing through in their battle for fourth.
06:00We have a shout-out to Henry Miller at seventh and Paulatelli in eighth.
06:07Zaragoza, the first Stark in the race there in ninth.
06:15Anderson, he's going to put together another good night here.
06:19He's keeping himself in championship point contention as we get ready to head to Australia.
06:27Well, and these two riders on screen right now with Anderson and Craig are two of the riders
06:31that people really hadn't paid to be the championship contenders,
06:36like the favorites to win this SX1 World Championship.
06:39Kristen, what can you tell us?
06:45Watching Ken Roxen and Eli Tomek in these final laps, there's so much I'm noticing, guys.
06:51We are watching two Titans of this sport battle it out.
06:55And I'm noticing a lot about their riding styles.
06:58Ken Roxen just so loose, so slowy.
07:00And then you look at Eli Tomek, structured, just pure perfection and emotion.
07:05What are you guys noticing about these two Titans in this race?
07:08Tomek, the 33-year-old out of Colorado, out front and leading here in race number three
07:15as we continue to watch Anderson and Craig fighting over fourth.
07:20Yeah, Craig's been right there.
07:21Just I was going to say he's been peppering Anderson with,
07:27but I think it's the other way around, right?
07:29Anderson, that roost has just been right in Craig's face pretty much the entire race.
07:35Some of these sections like this, this turns a little bit one line.
07:39Everybody's in the same spot.
07:41You can see our overall standings as they run.
07:44Tomek would win the overall by four over Roxen if they finish one and two like they're running right now.
07:49And Kenny has lost a little bit more ground to Eli.
07:52The gap now almost four seconds between Tomek on the Red Bull KTM
07:58and Roxen on the Progressive Backpipes Motorsports Group Suzuki.
08:03I'm impressed with Kenny's night.
08:04I mean, it's not over.
08:06But race two, getting the win the way he did was great.
08:09But race one and race three, the starts weren't there.
08:12And he made moves, had to make passes, made them quick,
08:16and still showed those flashes that we all know he has.
08:18I mean, this has been a great night for him and his fur.
08:21Eli Tomek, so much interest in what this may look like.
08:25Jeff, Honda, Cowie, Yamaha.
08:27And now to a KTM steel frame.
08:29Like, what would it look like?
08:31And I'm impressed.
08:32He's still riding with power.
08:34You see the little head tilt right there.
08:35That's when you know he's happy.
08:36And I think he's checked the box.
08:39Tomek, KTM, this thing's going to work.
08:42Yeah, it's a good, great combination.
08:45I mean, think about that, four different manufacturers.
08:49If he could bring this one home and win him tonight,
08:51that would be four wins in the premier class on four different manufacturers.
08:57Did you really have any doubt that it wouldn't?
09:01I mean, I had a few fans asking me, what do you think?
09:03What do you think?
09:04It's Eli Tomek.
09:05I did just before when we were making our picks.
09:08I struggled with it because Ken Roxson was looking so sharp.
09:13I don't mean that.
09:14I mean, did you believe that Tomek would match up perfectly with the KTM?
09:19I was trying to rub it into Daniel that I think Tomek for the win.
09:23Here we go.
09:24Coming to one to go.
09:27You know, Ralph, Tomek is in his 30s now.
09:30A couple years ago, thought he may retire.
09:33You question where the motivation is.
09:34And then he signs up for another year, goes to a new manufacturer,
09:37a new energy drink.
09:38And you're thinking, where is the motivation?
09:41What are we going to get out of it?
09:41And from the first lap yesterday, he was all in.
09:45And that's because he's all in.
09:47So to answer your question, not when he's all in.
09:51Tomek is a bad man and a legend.
09:53And he's going to be great moving forward.
09:54Here's Ken Roxson, still hanging on in second.
09:58Another great legend.
09:59He's far from done as well.
10:00This battle is going to continue on to the end of 25 and all throughout 2026 between these
10:07two as Eli Tomek makes his way around.
10:10It will be his fifth overall win and his 16th race victory in his World Supercross career.
10:19Here he comes.
10:20Eli Tomek wins the overall as he wins race number three here at the Canadian GP
10:26and lights the candles in Vancouver.
10:31Roxson in second, waiting Justin Cooper.
10:35Here he comes to take third.
10:38He'll do so on the Yamaha and the crowd giving their approval here in BC.
