00:00hey guys welcome back in the past once again this is your host ready game and

00:04today's video I'm gonna be doing with another anime review okay now today I'm gonna be viewing an

00:13anime that has sort of like it came out it blew up and it just vanished from the spotlight just

00:24like that right much to the effect of the anime itself I'd say it has to do the fact that this

00:29serving completed anime which means I can give a full review across really countless as you know

00:37it comes to my and maybe because I only like to review and wait and that are finish don't like

00:47doing and we set our ongoing because the ending there is a huge factor in one of the army could

00:56be good or bad you know you could have a good anime with a bad ending or a bad anime with a good ending and it could affect the overall verdict

01:04at least in my opinion that's why stuff in the past I did I never really consider those reviews

01:13but some of my videos because those anime are ongoing those are just mostly rant videos which I might be

01:20revisit those rant videos soon but for now it's going to be with you and me and today I'm going to be talking about

01:28Parasite the Maxim okay now this is an anime that has been out for a while it's based on a very popular

01:37serial manga that has been going on from the 80s 90s ish the thing about this anime is that it's a one season

01:47much like this 91 days that anime that I reviewed in the past it's a one and done but I read up to see

01:57if there was like any part two to the anime and if the studios didn't get to make it but no it was just

02:05one and done dude there's not enough manga to make a next season which is kind of a bummer because this

02:11is actually pretty good right but let's get into the cast a little bit okay here's the rundown the show is

02:21based on this high school guy who is like your average dude and then he gets hit with this parasite

02:30from outer space that infects him but it doesn't completely infect somebody reach into his brain so

02:37it just gets into like his arm and then you look at him and you realize oh it only his arm is you know

02:44tender and he from this whole scenario he has to cope with this and learn to live as a path human path

02:54alien thingy right that's pretty much the gist of the show now how well does it play out

03:04i would say it plays out very well story-wise with the characters okay you have your main character

03:11shishini is me but he's the main guy that is centered around then you have these side characters

03:20like satomi murano and you have his parents who plays a big role in the story guiding his character

03:32and you have other characters too and you even have a name for the parasite the parasite he actually

03:39names it migi although the voice that they give the parasite is really a good one in my opinion

03:49and then you also have like side characters like the detector and a sort of sidekick that serves in the

03:57back onto progressive story on other side characters like this lady who is a sort of play bigger role in

04:08the grand scheme of things right now in terms of the plot itself it's it was actually pretty good it was

04:17going really good took its time but it wasn't slow and it was based well and it comes like the main

04:25character you get to see the progression of how this character develops and at the same time you see

04:32his other character um you know the parasite in his arm which is a character so you see that progress as

04:41well and there's a sort of like interesting thing they do where you see shinichi as he progresses throughout

04:50the show you see his personality changes the more time he spends with me and the more he gets adapted to

04:58this new form powers and ability he gets from him and midi in his arm and simultaneously you see midi

05:05becomes more adapted as well it's it's strange because you see shinichi go from the sort of like

05:12timid shy dude that you see from the beginning of the show towards like at least probably halfway in

05:19he's a completely different person his personality becomes more more robotic like he's less

05:26um emotional about stuff like he loses like his human touch to him when he's interacting with his

05:35friends or his girlfriend and while that's happening you see the parasite migi in his arm

05:42the parasite well maybe becomes more human like throughout the show you see me constantly talking about

05:49how he's changing and how he's changing and in some ways migi acknowledge it as a good thing because

05:57migi is a parasite and you know it's like yes you know combative whatever with their ideology but

06:06you see migi become more turned to his human side and listen to interact with the other humans and i find

06:14how it's really interesting about the short case and progression and character um the side characters

06:24they serve their purpose i'll say that um some of them are really interesting though although i find

06:29that they could have done more with it like for example the the lady who i think she's supposed to be

06:37like the scientist or something she's running her test by having a child with a human that ends up

06:46like being a parasite human breed child that she gives birth to and she she was using it as a

06:56i always say as a sort of like experiment in terms of getting research about the humans

07:05find out more about parasitic apparently the parasites when they're on earth and they're doing

07:11their stuff there's stuff about them that they are not aware of and they're also you know trying to

07:20come between us with but being on earth with the humans and the condition that they're in

07:25they're mostly resorting to survival and that's where this gets really interesting with the politics of

07:32it you know there's certain characters in the show who are parasites but they're like political figures

07:40who basically like work in behind closed doors to allow other parasite guys to do their bidding and i

07:49like the way how they portray that um yeah so there's all the stuff in the storyline that was done really

07:58well it's just the only gripes that i had with it was coming on to the ending like in the final few

08:06episodes i felt like it was pacing like it was going this route and then it felt like it sort of like

08:16tilted back a bit and it went this route which it really helped much of a problem at first but the

08:23more i think about this they can't really like it it felt like if the show had skipped through some

08:29material or maybe they'll demand the writers the guy who wrote it he sort of half-assed his way into the ending

08:39and leaves out the stuff here because it felt like they could have had more going to the ending for the show

08:48because the whole build up and all of the um characters and the story was going really good like this is

09:01the way how good this is like it could like probably you could probably have a really good

09:07series on this but you know from watching it from the beginning to the end it just felt like

09:12uh wasted potential or missed opportunity in my opinion from like how the ending played out um not

09:23saying that the ending is bad necessarily just like it felt like it wasn't properly earned in my opinion

09:30like even though character wise it it makes sense what what they were doing it's just like because

09:37there's some more stuff then going to the ending especially given the villain in the show i'm not

09:44really going to spoil the other say that the villain he is the politician guy can't remember his name

09:52his name is go to something but there's some pretty dope stuff with the villain and nothing about the

09:59i don't want to mention and that is after like you know they had the final stuff going on

10:05an ending they decide to wrap up the show and you know when it comes to enemies when they wrap up

10:12the the show the season however they they do it in a sort of cringe way sometimes and sometimes it kind

10:19of too extra for the ending to make it more emotional or more impactful and it felt like over here it was

10:27definitely a bit extra for the the last episode um i felt like i've done away with some of that

10:33that in my opinion probably would have been just as good um i mean i get the whole point of you know

10:39the story and the character i get what they're good for this well that you know it's it's like one

10:44season 25 episodes it wasn't really a lot there that made the last episode rooted in my opinion

10:52now when it comes to the technical stuff of this anime actually the animation the artwork the way it

11:01was animated it was really damn good you know the animation style it's still a madhouse they did a good

11:10job animating the scenery the characters the artwork did really good job bringing out the art style

11:20from the manga it was a really good job adapting it and even the fight scenes too because some of the

11:28the fight scenes are fast-paced wicked and was well animated all right soundtrack good good it's good

11:37really good the the voice acting it was okay um it's initially goes voice actor the main character

11:45the parasites didn't really have a good voice acting opinion um the other characters they were okay for

11:51something right so that's okay so yeah um so overall and chase army it's it's very good um it's not

12:01on the way in my opinion it could have been the reader on the way but i just felt that it wasn't up there

12:09you know uh but i will say this definitely deserves a sequel it's just that the downside this is

12:17done the manga created the rider he only wrote enough material for one season it's not that you can't

12:26really do anything to make a second season like if they wanted to because there's not enough material for

12:31it maybe that could change in the future who knows but at this current time it's just a one and done stuff

12:4224 episode i believe yeah okay so yeah guys are pretty much sums up the review overall

12:51parasite the maximum great anime really great anime very worth recommending worth checking out
