00:00I am a retired military combat veteran, but I'm also an endurance trainer. I do about
00:12six to ten thousand calories per day.
00:14WHAT?!
00:15WHAT THE FU-
00:17Hey guys, welcome back in front of us. Once again, this is your host, I'm going to tease
00:22you. Remember doing a bit of a rant exposé, that's what you call this?
00:27I wasn't actually planned to do this at first. Like, this is not really a topic on our radio
00:34that shows up for discussions, but after seeing this, you know, unfolding, I just couldn't
00:42help but have to speak up on it. And that was a whole chef Ross situation on men's health.
00:51But if you guys don't know, Chef Ross is like a famous chef at the White House who's been
00:59like really big and popular because he's like really jacked, like jacked to the bone with
01:0824-inch arms and such. And he's following it. But recently, he did this piece on men's health.
01:16It brings about a myriad of problems. The first being his claim that he eats 6,000 to 10,000 calories
01:24a day in that range and between 800 to 1200 grams of protein via his diet being 60, 20, 20, you know,
01:3460% protein, 20 carbs, 20 fats. And he says that, you know, this is a diet model that a lot of athletes
01:45boxers, you know, fighters follow and they stay lean, mean, muscle machine despite that,
01:53which is in itself questionable, but not entirely false, just questionable.
02:00Um, 6,000 calories? Yeah, I'd say that's in the realm of possibility, definitely. But going upwards to
02:1110,000 calories a day? Definitely not. And I'll explain why in a second. But for Sata,
02:21just a big elephant in the room, and that is the whole racism stuff that he addressed in a person
02:29IG where he was talking about how some people are making ourselves racist claims statements to him.
02:36Then he also put two YouTubers on blast, more plays, more dates, and Greg Doucette, which is actually the
02:44reason why I found out about this whole debacle because I have a regular view of those guys,
02:50more particularly, um, Derek from one place, more dates. But in his post, he put Greg Doucette
02:59on blast as selling him to be a racist and all that stuff. And then there was like a whole bunch
03:06of stuff to go with that, like some sort of beef, you know, where they had to respond and whatnot.
03:14And it, I'll be honest, it's a bad look overall. Even though that's the whole reason why I thought about this,
03:24I'm not really going to dwell into that much per se. Um, I'm mostly sticking to the actual stuff
03:35from the Men's Health video, and that is his claims about his diet and his daily routine,
03:44you know, and his workout regimen and all that stuff. That's what I'm focusing on. I don't really
03:49want to get into the whole racism discussion that he brought up, you know, because a couple of, um,
03:58guys, you know, supposedly sent him some bad words on Instagram and not really following up for that
04:04right. And just putting that out there, just literally there's no, even though it's a bad look,
04:08and then not really, I don't want to add any fuel to that. Okay, now with that other way,
04:15let's get back to the main course here.
04:18My morning starts at 3 a.m. every morning. I get up, I meditate, and then I roll over,
04:28and I do my 2,222 push-ups. That's an hour and 15 minutes. I go and I have some coffee.
04:362,222 push-ups at, what, 3 to call a past 3 in the morning as soon as I get up? Hmm. Yeah,
04:45I'm going to press major X to doubt on that one. Um, how I will say though, I've heard why he says
04:54he does it. I read up and, like, look at videos and posts out there where there are people who can't
05:01do that much in a day though, know that it's possible. So, even though it sounds really absurd,
05:08like, 2,222 push-ups a day is really absurd in itself, it is in the realm of possibility. Except,
05:16it means you're going to be really sore and worn out as fuck by the time you've done that. Especially at
05:24quarter past three in the morning, they're going to see me like, if it takes him an hour or so to do that,
05:30he's done right after that, that's like 4 o'clock. He's pretty much sore for the rest of the day,
05:36right? Because even though you do have 24 inch abs, which I will adjust in a minute,
05:42that's going to be sore as fuck with those huge abs after doing 2,222 push-ups.
05:48For my breakfast, it starts off with 24 boiled eggs. I do 20 whole eggs without the yolk and I'll eat
05:56the other full whole. I do soft boil. That way they go down a lot easier, a lot smoother. Then,
06:02I'll also have meal protein shake. I'll make it with some oatmeal. I'll do my peanut butter. I can use
06:08some of my kale. Also, some nice pieces of lean beef. Just a few pieces. Now, following that, he says he has
06:17coffee, which is pretty bizarre itself as well. You know, you have coffee after all the push-ups and
06:28then he gets onto his breakfast, the big, heavy breakfast to, you know, help fuel from all that
06:36exertion. He says he eats 24 boiled eggs, 20 of them without the yolk. And he also has a protein shake,
06:47with that, add some pieces of beef. Just a few pieces. Okay, let that sink in for a moment.
06:54How much is in that? After that, I'll have my snack, which is about six o'clock in the morning,
06:59peanut butter sandwich. I love peanut butter sandwich and I also get a banana and I'll slice
07:05the banana on top of the peanut butter. And I do, maybe if I have some homemade jam,
07:10I'll put a little bit of jam on that. I also toast bread as well. That's my breakfast.
07:17So after 11 o'clock, I'm going to have some beef. I'll use probably like half of this beef. It's
07:23very lean. And so for to get these 24 inch biceps and to do these 2,222 push-ups, I'm the beef guy,
07:30but I can make vegan food taste incredible, but I can make this beef taste magnificent.
07:37So I'll take two servings, go right down the middle of it. I'll get me some quinoa. I'll round it up
07:42together. I like to get me some tomatoes. I'll chop them up really fine with a little lemon juice.
07:47And I use a little bit of pepper. I use a little bit of garlic and I have about an ounce of feta
07:53cheese and it's perfect. This part, he says he has this at 11 o'clock. I believe he says he has this
08:00because that seems like something that would be actually reasonable to eat.
08:05After I've done with my 11 o'clock with the beef, I'm going to my 2 o'clock. This is going to be a
08:11bigger meal for me. I'm going to take a whole chicken and I'm going to do half of this chicken.
08:16So I'll do the white and the dark meat that goes along with that. The bones from that chicken,
08:20I'll actually use for a broth for later. I'm also going to use two to four ounces of steak to go along
08:26with that. And I'm going to use some white rice. My white rice of choice, I'm not going to lie to you.
08:32I'm not so much into that brown rice or wild rice, but like a good jasmine rice. This seems
08:40reasonable. Although it does sound a bit on the high end to have half a chicken in one meal added to
08:48steak and rice. But I'd say this is legitimate. A bit extreme for sure, but I have no reason to
08:55believe that he doesn't eat this either. At 4 o'clock, I am going to work out. I'm going to work out for
09:01another hour, hour and a half. At six o'clock, I am going to be eating again.
09:09My eating again will consist of sweet potatoes. I'll have some broccoli. I'll have the other part
09:15of this whole chicken. Now this chicken that's here that's had, it's actually considered two chicken.
09:21And I also have another protein chicken go along with that.
09:23Now this is where it starts to sound really extreme. Like earlier I said, he has a half chicken
09:35with two to four just steak and rice. And that sound a bit over the top for a two o'clock meal. But here
09:44he's eating this amount at, you know, six o'clock. Admittedly he's after work on, but he hasn't this
09:51after work on at six o'clock with a protein chicken on top of that. Like that. That's pretty excessive.
10:00Now we're to my eight o'clock. My eight o'clock comes with a little lighter meal. I'm going to do some
10:05fish. I love my fish. I have salmon. It's airy. It's light. It's nice. You can get that nice protein.
10:12It's less filling. And I usually do this with some kale. I usually do some tomatoes with a little
10:16balsamic and a little olive oil. I got to tell you one of my secrets is this black garlic. I love,
10:22love, love black garlic. It has so many health benefits for you. It's absolutely amazing. That
10:28is done. And I turn it into like a salad and then I'm going back to work. Then you get to the eight o'clock
10:35which is starting to get into nighttime mode. He says he has a fish with some vegetable salad like stuff,
10:45which seems okay. But that seems actually good. I might probably want to try that myself sometime,
10:52but this seems reasonable at eight o'clock. Now by this time it's 10 o'clock. 10 o'clock if I'm working,
11:01I am going to have a nice protein shake. My shakes are considered a meal supplement,
11:07not just a shake. I might to make them solid where they're going to have that massive amount
11:11of protein inside of it that I, my body is going to absorb and not just get rid of right away.
11:16You have Greek yogurt, oats, quinoa filled up with blueberries, maybe a banana, just a half a banana
11:23because of that, that potassium, but the carbohydrates that goes along with that. Now here's where it starts
11:28to get really weird because he, in the video he describes what he puts in his protein shakes,
11:36and he describes them as meal supplements, right, which is what most protein shakes are,
11:42and he says that these ingredients in them, which is quite a lot, that means it's a fruit in a meal
11:48in itself, which sort of like makes it sound really weird of what he said earlier in the day when he
11:54has those other meals earlier in the day and he has a protein shake to go with those meals,
12:01which are already massive in itself, but he already has a meal replacement protein shake added to them,
12:07those meals, right. So I'm like, yeah, I'm going to call a bit of BS on that one. Um,
12:15maybe he's having a protein shake, he has a gentleman like he says it is, but the protein shakes he
12:21probably has earlier in the day are probably very low based protein shakes, and that actual meal
12:30replacement ones. By this time, it's 12 o'clock midnight. 12 o'clock midnight, I am going to finish
12:35off that other half of chicken. So that's my equal of four whole chickens. Think about that,
12:41all that chicken he's eating in a day. That's more than one more chicken, right, that he's eating in
12:49the day, added to all this other stuff. Like, are you serious? Are you kidding me or not? Like,
12:55given the amount of eggs he has early in the morning, and all this chicken he's eating in the,
13:02throughout the daytime, he's going through a whole farm in a week, if you think about it. And then,
13:08then there's the added fact that he's also cooking food in the right house of other people, right? So,
13:15he's doing all that in between all these meals and these workouts. Right, so that I should tell you,
13:23yeah, there's a lot of holes in this. One being the amount of food he's consuming,
13:28and the amount of food he has to make, and all that up and down he has to do in the kitchen,
13:33because when you think about this, he's definitely not going outside. When you think about this,
13:39um, because he has to work in the right house, work, work, work on three, gym, gym, gym,
13:43country, and eat, eat, eat, eat, stay true, right? So, when you're thinking about it, yeah, it seems that he,
13:52it's possible that he could be consuming 6,000 calories per day, but 10,000 calories, definitely not.
14:00I don't really care much about his supplement takes, um, it seems legit for what he says he's taking,
14:12but I, we all know for a fact that he's taking rewards along with those supplements,
14:19just by looking at him. I mean, like, think about it from a common sense perspective, right?
14:26There's no way you're gonna have 24-inch arms, and doing all this, and taking these supplements,
14:33and still be natty, right? Anyone that has 24-inch arms, regardless of what they eat, or what sort of, like,
14:41supplement they're taking, they have some sort of roids, tests, or trends, or whatever,
14:50that they're taking on the side. It is just what it is. There's no way you can get and maintain
14:57a 24-inch bicep, you know, and be natty. It's just physically not possible, right? So that's my
15:05whole take on his steroid thing, which, by the way, I never expect him to, like, stay out publicly,
15:12since he's a vital ship, and he wants to, you know, prep himself up. Also, I expect him to lie
15:18about the steroids part, but that's, aside from the point, you're telling me this guy's doing this
15:23whole routine, day in and day out, literally, all while running off three hours of sleep.
15:31really, and he's, this is what he looks like, and also, there's the fact that he's 47 now,
15:42this video is out, he's 47 years old, right? He ain't no youngster, he's a veterinarian, he's up there,
15:52you know, he's pushing 50 soon, right? So, he ain't getting any younger,
15:58so, you have to think about it logically, it's just not possible. Now, maybe you're probably saying,
16:06okay, if you go back to the dieting, he says he eats all this egg, and egg yolk, and egg whites,
16:18and has the stuff at 6. So, maybe between from that 7, 8, 9, 10, where he didn't mention anything,
16:27he probably takes another, um, shot out, right? That seems reasonable, okay? Then you could say
16:34he has 7 hours of sleep. He gets up and he has lunch, and then there's the fact that he's also
16:39working at the White House, which he had to be making food for the people. So, I highly doubt the
16:45fact that he's sleeping after he, um, eats at 6 o'clock. I really doubt that, if you ask me. So,
16:53either he is exaggerating some of these meals to make it sound more grander, like probably the egg part,
17:03he's probably exaggerating that. Or, he forgot to stay that he sleeps from 6 to 11. Either way,
17:14he is a huge hole in his diet regimen stuff. Maybe do something close to this, but it's very unlikely
17:22for this to even be possible for him, especially at his age. And then there's the fact that how much
17:29he weighs as well. He's 5'10", right? And he's around 268 to 270 pounds close to, right? That's in the
17:41bodybuilder competition range. When you think about it, there are bodybuilders who
17:48are that size. And let me give you an idea of what bodybuilders in this size range would actually
17:59be doing and eating, if you want to be actually realistic about, you know, this amount of mass.
18:06First off, let's start with Brandon Curry. He is a former Mr. Olympia who lost to Big Ramy. He actually put his
18:17diet out of what he eats in a day. And unlike Chef Rush, you've seen him pick up the foods,
18:26and you've seen him start eating the food, you know, on the time where he states it. There's no reason
18:34to assume that he's lying because you've actually seen him eating it at the times of the day that he
18:39says he is. But when you watch his diet plan, right, from the beginning to the end of the day,
18:48Brandon Curry, he eats six meals. But if you add up all of the specs of the meals, he consumes up to
19:01330 grams of protein and around 34 to the 500-ish calories in a day. Now, Bain Man, this dude,
19:17is a bodybuilder and he weighs around 250 to almost 260. And this is what he eats in a day.
19:29Oh, and he's in his 30s. You see how he looks, and this is what he eats. So compared to this Chef Rush guy,
19:37you see a huge gap there. A huge gap is at least 2500 plus calories in that. And then there's the fact
19:49that Chef Rush is older. Right, think about that for a second. If you were to match these two diet plans
19:56up to each other, you would see a huge amount of inconsistency with Chef Rush one. And I know
20:03what you're guys saying. Well, you know, Chef Rush is a chef. So him having to be up and down all the
20:10time in the kitchen, working, making food for the vital staff, or he's gonna bring more calories. And yes,
20:17that's true. But here's a thing. And one of the main reasons why I decided to use Brandon Curry's daily routine
20:24as a comparison to this guy's daily eating routine. According to like medical news today, right, most research
20:32indicates that eating more than two grams per kg of body weight, for the long term, that's going to
20:42fuck you up, right, that much protein. So your limit is two grams of protein per kg to be on the safe side.
20:51Now, I know what you guys thinking. If you're using this as your measure for health on the safe side,
20:57that pretty much means that Brandon Curry is in the danger zone because given this measure of
21:05two grams per kg of body weight, Brandon Curry is consuming 100 grams above his recommended amount.
21:15Now, compared to Chef Rush is consuming over 550 grams the amount of necessary protein for his body weight.
21:26at his age of 47. Do you guys not see how dangerous that sounds? Like, he could basically eat Brandon Curry
21:36with that amount of protein that he's eating in excess protein he's eating in a day. Like that, that
21:44killed a person, you know, if they're consuming that much over a period of time. I would say it's either
21:51he is over exaggerating parts of his routine or men's health issues. So yeah, that pretty much sums up
22:00this video. Well, it's been quite a long amount. I've been ranting about this for 30 minutes going
22:05through all this stuff. It's been quite a hassle to edit it down, but I just wanted to just make this
22:12video and put my point out there. I really found this to be completely absurd. I found out from it
22:20first from, like I said, Craig Duchette, more place, more dates. They talked about this first,
22:26then this guy actually spawned it on Instagram and Facebook, too, talking about the whole backlash
22:34is getting. And that's how it blew up. And like I said, I didn't really want to comment much about
22:40that because I didn't want to add more fuel to that fire and how that was. But I'll leave the video
22:47in the description below if you want to see, you know, what those guys were actually talking about.
22:52And you know, you can say for yourself if you felt they were being racist or whatnot,
22:57but overall, that pretty much sums it up there. I'm just going to end it here, guys.
23:02Let me know what you think in the comment section down below if you think this Chef Rush guy is
23:12on something or if he is full of shit. But either ways, men's health is full of shit.
23:18That's one thing for sure. But let me know in the comment section below if you agree or disagree
23:25and what I have whole thoughts on the whole situation and his response. And be sure to check out
23:31my other videos. And I guess I'll see you guys later.
