00:00run hey guys welcome back in the process once again this is your host and a gamer and today's
00:12video I'm going to be doing a move review right now and also haven't been posting a while that's
00:17because I'm trying to go and see this move as early as possible you know so I could get the
00:24views out earlier so that's the thing when I finally got to see it on them to be honest but
00:32I can't really there's two things I have to bring up first I can't really review this film without
00:37giving my stance on breakable and split first and I don't think I can review this film without
00:44spoiling it you know I have to talk about spoilers right but that's okay because the film has been
00:52out for a while now so you guys have more enough time to catch up and see it but um first of let's
00:59get this all the way with unbreakable and split these are two films I've already seen I watched
01:06them prior to glass especially split very recently but unbreakable let's say I seen bits of it like
01:17way back in a day right and then recently I watched the whole thing now when I watched the whole thing
01:23I already knew how the ending was so I just watched it to see what it was because I heard crazy universe
01:29thing that here's internet was building up I watched unbreakable and the first time when I watched out
01:35the whole movie I was like oh and I mean I could see why some people you know was critical of it let's
01:46see why some people's critical of the film but I still did have a good time seeing you know Bruce
01:52Willis and you know Simon Jackson characters actually each other the second time I watched it was a much
02:00better experience because I knew all the stuff and the music the theme it was it holds up very well
02:08actually with repeat view and I'll say that I would give that a 9 out of 10 yeah it's it's up there
02:16because you watch this and with all the current comic book films out nowadays you watch that it feels
02:22like a recent movie for a film that came out in 2000 that's one of the things I liked about it
02:28now that all the way right unbreakable now on the split a film that I watched very recently a week
02:37ago I'm a bit more critical of that since it's it actually came out two years ago so it's much
02:44more recent the one thing I did like about split though is that the quality of the film that it was
02:51for a much cheaper and unbreakable you notice I think it was like one tenth of the production
02:58budget was pretty impressive James McAvoy really sold that film for me you know and I know compared
03:06to unbreakable you know split was like it was definitely more focused on James McAvoy character
03:13but um the other character was kind of I mean there's some decent moments with them but bro that that
03:26acting you know with the multiple personalities he brought humor he brought tension he brought
03:32cellular action even but all of it to the table in that movie my grip with the film was probably more
03:42how to do it I'd say it had to do more to we have it you know ended not the actual ending but like
03:49the you know the way how it ended with Tim and the girl and the such you know the whole beast concept
03:56I was like I mean it's cool on all but I was a bit right I would say I'd give that an 8.5 out of 10
04:08it does some things better than unbreakable but it also kind of falls a bit short in some aspects
04:13right so that's my stance of those two films I didn't want to do separate videos on them because
04:20I felt that it would have been you know a bit much for me to do that right but unbreakable 9 out of 10
04:29split 8 and a half out of 10 now on to class now if you guys remember the ending of split
04:38teased um you know Bruce Willis character coming back with the unbreakable theme song right right
04:46his name is David Thorn and he looks he looked pretty good though but over here he grew out his
04:52beard and whatnot so it looks much more older here now but this film and there's a lot of feelings I
05:01have for this film because you know unlike unbreakable and split this film has a lot more it's got
05:07more story beats to it you know until the plot and stuff such it does borrow a lot from split and a lot
05:18from unbreakable in terms of you know the structure of the story and such that opening sequence
05:26it's probably one of the best I've seen so far for any recent movies I mean like the way how it opened
05:34I was like okay you know you get to see Chase McAvoy character Kevin Wondercorm he comes back right
05:40on spotted so you're like oh okay and then they show you know that you know the um the charities that
05:49he kidnapped so okay they get right into it Bruce Willis character shows up you know they show you
05:56him doing regular superhero stuff now right he's a superhero because that's what I'll probably pick
06:03right uh he uses the his security coat as like his you know mask in a whole Batman mask and Bruce Wayne
06:14right so that was kind of like Bruce Willis you know I think I think he's labeled the overseer now he
06:22has to find out who kidnapped the girls you know this actually yeah actually I've got invited to this
06:29pretty quickly in the opening he starts fighting James McAvoy and does some pretty good this is actually
06:34pretty well directed and the best part about it is that I didn't really expect because well first of
06:41all year you you know that they were going to fight each other but you didn't expect it to happen opening
06:47secrets of the film so that was a pretty nice touch now it ended obviously because they're not going to
06:55just have them fighting that right at beginning right so they ended it abruptly by having the law
07:04enforcement and this character called dr. Ellie she steps in to stop them and she puts them under her
07:14key in some detention center for people with mental problems that she was she said that she's going to
07:23try and she's going to try and convince him that you know they are not
07:33I don't know what they think they are right that all this illusion and they have some sort of
07:39mentalist or they know they don't have no superpowers right no here's the thing about that I don't know
07:47I like this part of film because two reasons it slows down a little bit so you can be able to soak it in
07:55what it's all about this is what the main of the movie I think starts to kick in you know we see she
08:04interact with the characters and you get to know about the characters the innocent thing here though
08:11is that he uses the air net uses deleted scenes from unbreakable as you know backstory more backstory to
08:22to Bruce Willis character which is pretty interesting also he uses it to set up a connection a more legit
08:32connection between split unbreakable you know also I like the interaction they had between the
08:39characters and actors you know it was pretty funny and I think over here James McAvoy definitely steals it
08:47again here you know he brings the humor with the ambulator personalities he he really does it put on a
08:55show with you know the way how he plays a beast he's very human actually he puts on quite a good bit of
09:04muscle for the soul which is very impressive I would say also the one thing that sort of like turned me off
09:16the first half is it's uh Shama Jackson's character you know Mr. Glass apparently like for the majority of the movie you see him like showing up in scenes but for the majority of the first and the second half when you start seeing him again and they've seen him you know they cut him back to him he's not even talking at all
09:40it's only up to a certain point he starts to like you know speak and then you know they start like building up more with him
09:52um yeah I think it was a bit weird but when he started like I started bringing more focus and attention to his character I was like okay pretty cool they did some pretty interesting thing with his characters um
10:06um the one thing I didn't like though was that I probably another thing I have to say that probably disappointed me this one quite disappointed me though is uh how they handled David Dunn's character after the the first act you saw him get silent a bit
10:24and to be fair this is the movie's name glass right so I can't expect it to focus more on Elijah print which I did compared to you know so then I was expecting David Dunn to be like the main focus but even though he and glass is from Unbreakable which they both were the main focus
10:52the main focus right so um but I think that they could have put some more return in it you know some more scenes for him you know but other than that it was pretty okay for the most part
11:10now here comes the main course the third act where everything was building up to it you know they set up everything in the first and second act
11:20a crazy first introduction and they set it up very nicely for his third act where they're gonna start fighting and you kind of get the more superhero feels because um
11:32Elijah um um class he invokes his plan to take over the city with some sort of like um bad thing he's going to do um in the main
11:45city with a bunch of people so he kind of forces them he forces David Dunn to come back out and fight him right
11:57or all this take place after the end eventually they got out of the sort of like uh detention center or whatever the place was that they were in
12:07right now the cool thing about this is that the scenes are very well done you know the actors they all did some pretty good stuff
12:16yeah I like seeing them you know the way how they were directed how they were fighting each other was pretty cool
12:23um what really disappointed me too is how it ended really and the third act was going pretty well pretty good um until
12:39eventually a certain tourist happens and well there are several tourists to be honest which is kind of surprising you know
12:51unlike your usual M. Night Shyamalan stuff that you get over here he takes it to the next level because um
13:01over here the first first I pick up in um the third act is apparently Kevin Dunn's character died in you know the train crash
13:15a thing that I mentioned earlier he was in this his father was in the same train as David Dunn and he died right
13:23well he decided to turn on glass because of this because you know he realizes that glass set him up
13:31and was using him the whole time he turns him and you know what glass is very fragile so he just hits some one punch to the chest
13:41and he he dies because his bones are breakable very easily right so that was it for him um
13:51he continues fighting David Dunn until you know the people start to intervene and try to get him to stop it
13:59and the thing that disappointed me the most was well well the beast you know he said he's going to see
14:09go into the city and show everyone all the best of it but um apparently you know you know the doctor girl at um that
14:23tried to contain him she called him enforcement um someone sniper shot um you know Kevin and apparently he
14:35ended up dead the thing about it or what the reason why i didn't really mind this is because well they use
14:43Casey's character she came here and she tried to you know to de-escalate him from going and somehow she's
14:51able to do it by summoning you know um his original um personality and not all of his others so when she was able to
15:01snap out of the beast form he was basically he was a regular human so that's all he was able to get um kill i guess
15:15um it was a bit of a far fetch for me but i was okay but i was like okay you know what whatever then
15:27apparently what the next thing this one i was like oh man they took bruce world's character
15:35and shot him in a puddle and the thing about it is when i sat there watching it in the cinema i was just
15:45damn it was just disappointed because i was like i face you know he goes through all this stuff just to have
15:55much on him in a puddle and it felt very empty for a character like him to go out like that you know
16:03um i can't get the message behind it a little bit i mean there's multiple ways you can interpret it but
16:10i understand what they were going for i just think that the way how that ended like that would notice
16:17character just so well long story short it starts off very good it slows down and it it's spread itself
16:29out to get you a bit more interested and fill you in the third act everything happens and you're like
16:35you're ready and then it ends it just all just like i just like getting punch in the stomach repeatedly
16:45when you saw the way how that was ended i was just like oh man but the one thing i have to say though and
16:53this is what probably did save the film for me after he died you know all three of them died basically
17:01um you know they cut back to miss dr ellie you know the one who was containing all of them
17:11and they slowly start to show you her backstory through a flashback when she was holding her
17:21and they explained to you what she really was you know and this great this cooperation that was like
17:31that is actively they were actively preventing you know superheroes from coming to the surface to be exposed to the
17:41we were right and that was what she was doing so part of what she was doing was like to prevent all of that from happening
17:51so but now here she was just like okay she have to call them in and take them out because she couldn't stop it
17:59and i was like well it makes more sense when i saw it unfolding i just i was thinking that it makes sense but
18:09i still find it was a dick move but afterwards the mastermind being glass you know he set everything up
18:21very interesting this is the one thing i like about the film that really saved the whole thing for me
18:27the way her emnet wrote his character that he uses intelligence to analyze all the stuff in the building
18:35you know take the cameras and all the other stuff what he did is he set up something in the security room
18:43with all the cameras to stream and record everything that was going on
18:49and then eventually he saved it and and was sent to um his mom and david dunn's son and such
19:01and the girl who was with um casey he said the footage of all of them i don't know how he did it but
19:09he did it and they were able to upload online so
19:15the disappointing part is they all died but they never really got disappeared or um like how the you know
19:27that that secret organization was trying to you know keep him under the rug you know thanks to you know mr glass
19:35and his you know very cunning um mind he was able to plan a way to still have them reach the servers to get him out
19:47and then he wanted to find out about them right so that's that was probably my um for me what helped save the film
19:57you know he was able to still accomplish what he set out to do you know like in the movie the girl she set herself
20:07he wasn't trying to um you know get into the city to do what he was saying the whole thing was a suicide machine
20:15all along and they she basically played into it because the way how they were slowly you know um
20:23taking out on his plan showing you what he was doing you realize that they were all playing into it and
20:33actually that's pretty impressive you know like in comparison to Baron Zemo and Lex Luthor's plan from
20:43BBS and civil war I think David um you know Mr. Grass here his plan is far better because he accomplishes what
20:57he what he's doing and every bit of his plan he set all that up very well you know and was able to follow it
21:09over there um to the end so yeah that's that's the one thing I was able to take off from the film you know
21:19I was like okay they all died but at least they you know they they're not like they were completely erased
21:29right the downside to it towards that I mean to be honest Bruce Willis as old as he is I didn't expect him to do
21:37to be interested to continue in the character you know I only wanted to see how he was here I had a feeling
21:43he was going to go out but the way how he went out I just didn't agree with that but aside from that I think
21:53like everything else the film handled handled very well actually in my opinion my only gripe was um you know
22:03the way how they handled David done you know his character but other than that you know James McAvoy
22:13you know his character Simon Jackson's character they were doing pretty well um I would say overall I
22:23probably would I probably would give this film I would say I'm trying to see I'll give it a seven point
22:39um I would give it a eight or a ten you know it's it's very good actually um there were a lot more
22:51problems in this compared to you know Unbreakable and Split more obvious problems but I think for the most part
23:00it accomplished what sets out to do you know M Knight he accomplished what he needed he started off this
23:07thing in Unbreakable he connected it with Split and Glass he basically gives you the main course and
23:17that's about it right it's a trilogy a nice packed little trilogy very contained you know it's all on him
23:27no big budget studio stuff extravaganza you know it's pretty simple and that's one thing I like the most
23:34about it is that it was a small simple thing that he he made and he's able to make it as smart and
23:43interesting nonetheless so yeah I guess that sums up my review for glass um it was a bit thing for me to
23:52you know review this because the way how this film was it was a bit for me to you know but um I could see
24:00why a lot of people were disappointed in this film because the one thing this film showed is that
24:07if your third act fails and your whole movie is pointless but for me not really but for some other
24:16people you know but anyways guys um let me know you think in the comment section down below and be sure
