00:00hey guys welcome back to inferences once again this is your host and the game of today's video

00:07I'm gonna be doing it another movie review okay not again at some thought I decided to have a

00:15little Ryan Gosling appreciation time and what better time to do that by highlighting some of

00:24my favorite of his movies because who doesn't love a little good old Gosling right and what better

00:31movie to start with other than Drive okay now this is a drama crime-ish movie and it's basically

00:40about this guy played by Ryan Gosling who works as a stunt driver by day and getaway driver by night

00:47he doesn't want he doesn't really have a name to be honest he just goes by driver he starts getting

00:56some attached to this new neighbor Irene and her son Benny cool nothing's looking good so fine or a

01:02little slow relationship thing until her husband's standard returns from after his prison sentence

01:09and that's where it starts to slowly fall apart you know this is where things start to get shaky a bit

01:15here because he owes money to people you know and he has all this drama going on he gets assaulted in

01:24front of his own son for not paying it back you know this is where Gosling comes into play here

01:30right you have him trying to work out a Robbie with standard and some side shit character and then it

01:38starts to go in further downhill right and it's also worth knowing that this movie has Ryan Cranston

01:46he plays a character as well who basically it's sort of like guy who employs driver in a sense no

01:55it it's it's crazy because you have this whole stuff here right stunt man may do you get away

02:04driving by night and then all this shit starts to unfold right and underneath that is this whole

02:10intertwined mob related stuff going on that goes deeper the further you go with driver into the story

02:18and you come to realize all these guys are fucked up there's no good guys anywhere here at all except for

02:26maybe the um the the neighbor Irene and the son everyone else here is all in it for different

02:34reasons and it's pretty fucked up when you think about it now it sounds pretty much fast of course

02:40here right you know that's where the problem starts and it's done in a hundred minute runtime movie which is

02:48pretty good you know it's not a long movie but it's it's a slow burn right it's it's also slow burn to

02:56the point that you feel like you're watching at 0.5 speed um a lot of like scenes you know where driver

03:03and Irene interact with each other it's prolonged and stretched out and feels so awkward and I think

03:11that's probably done intentionally to like you know portray drivers you know his personality or Irene's

03:19personality and you know to sort of like you know maybe show that there is some sort of connection

03:26there between them because his interactions with most of the other characters it's not slow and

03:33prolonged like that you know it's made between him and Irene the other characters in the same interact

03:39with each other it's it's like what you'd expect you know so yeah but you have these long pauses between

03:47them it doesn't feel like conversation between two real people you've got the rest of the character

03:53interaction you know almost the opposite right but outside of that almost everything else is almost

04:01flawlessly executed like the acting the direction the cinematography the music

04:09it's all cinematic and it's done in a very strict 100 minute runtime it feels a bit longer than 100

04:17minutes when you think about it but it's it's good it's not like oh it's so long it's boring in a sense

04:25unless if you you're not really like into the sort of like slow pace movies you know then you're probably

04:31not gonna like this but if you do feel for something that's more different and you know not mainstream

04:40you can check this out there's a lot of people that you recognize and it's the acting is very well done

04:47you know there's some bit of fault in there the directing is done very well the soundtrack the

04:53scenery everything is cinematography it's very well executed movie and some great acting and a pretty

05:00good story you know it's something worth watching right overall if i just sum this up i would give this

05:07movie i would say it's like i want eight points five eight point six ish out of ten you know i think it could have been like

05:17excellent um but it's just some stuff that they could have like done a little bit different

05:24views like the main character you know took up that stuff but overall pretty great movie guys very much
