00:00and today's video gonna be reviewing bad boys for life all right so i know i haven't really been

00:10posting anything on my channel as of late you know since i've done posted back backed up on

00:18my videos on youtube um i've been trying to think of what sort of stuff to make you know since

00:25recently i haven't really been watching a lot of movies i was wondering if i would you know

00:29do reviews of all the movies that already came out i don't know if you guys will be into that but

00:36i don't know i'm willing to give it a shot and see what goes okay well right now it's bad boys for

00:42life um and how this film stacks up compared to the other two bad boys and as a whole okay so i'm

00:49actually i was really impressed with this movie it surprised me because you know it felt more

00:55professional it felt more like a actual good cop movie that that actually had story and you know

01:04pacing and character arcs and such this is something that was in a way almost non-existent in the first

01:11two bad boys and that's largely due to michael bay's um you know choice of writing i know he's not

01:18the writers but he tends to you know work with the same writers over a course of his movies and the

01:26first two bad boys those are more so style over substance but even so the the two foreign directors

01:34i can't remember the name but the two foreign directors who directed this movie they directed

01:39the hell out of this i'm i'm really surprised they managed to keep the the tone and the style that

01:46michael bay had come up with for this franchise but still able to you know make it more professional

01:53and add it you know to their like their own way to say the least you know will smith is back and he is

02:00so so so much better here than he was in his last few movies especially germany man this movie and you

02:08can see it there's some scenes in the movie where he gets like really serious you know you see his

02:14character that you can really see the depth of will smith's um acting chops there in this movie

02:21that tell you it shows you how good of an actor he really is as opposed to the crap that he was doing

02:27before martin launch is back after such a long long time i haven't seen him do anything since bad boys

02:332 which is like nearly 20 years ago i know he's done some moves but none of them has been play enough

02:38to actually catch my interest or for me to even remember but he's back here he is he still got it

02:46you know i mean you can see he's fat now and he's he's much older but he still got it you know he still

02:52have the dynamic and the chemistry with will smith and he can still you know be a main player in these

03:00movies i was impressed you know sometimes they might come back after a long while they might be a bit you

03:07know robust but it came like he was just out the other day and he has come back you know he didn't

03:13really feel like he was out too long maybe he just got a little chunky but that's not really much

03:19well you get used to it um the villains right i can't remember the name of the actors but the villains

03:25in this movie is actually well written they have a good character i want to say they had a good

03:32character act that i didn't like how it ended you know how it concluded but i would say they was way

03:40better as you know bad boys so like you know with how the the franchises they usually have like this

03:47random bad guys just they're you know causing mayhem these guys they're actually villains that tie

03:56into the main character and i really like that you know it gives you more of a depth to the story

04:02and actually adds stakes for them which is something that i didn't expect you know it's only really

04:10surprised me in a lot of ways you know there are a lot of og characters you know from the first two

04:15that returns even um the guys you know daughter his husband husband returns as well the same actors

04:22they come back i really like that you know when they manage to get the same actors come back after

04:27such a long time as well and they are recognizable you know they don't look like they changed that much

04:33which is really nice i will say though certain beats where you are thinking you know okay you know

04:43how this is going to play out if you've seen um a lot of cop movies it does follow certain jokes

04:51but at the same time the movie doesn't you know fail to pull out some surprises you know there's

05:00certain stuff i really did not expect that they were going to do as for coming down to the supporting

05:07characters there's this one for a group called the ammo they weren't really that bad i mean i think

05:13they were average but they did really add more to the movie i will say the girl in the ammo group she

05:19is probably the best addition to the cast and i will say if they're going to have them take over

05:26the franchise you know because will smith and matt nuns they're older now i don't think they'll be

05:32willing to do a bad boys for that's like this because i heard they have bad boys from development

05:39and there's another reason why i'll try to get to in a moment but i don't mind seeing more of the ammo

05:43playing bigger role in future movies now as for the ending you tend to see you know where it's

05:51going and then you're more curious okay so how is going to go into the third act by the time the third

05:55act reach they have this big reveal like for a second it's like what the hell and you like question

06:00are they really going through this i mean and you know you have martin lawrence character sort of like

06:05jokes around it i mean i will say that's probably the only reason why i did um put up with it and

06:13probably a lot of people because he did really got a lot of jokes and quips like a lot of material to

06:20use out of the twist you know to make fun of him um and i really enjoyed that um but as of how it

06:30played out with the ending i think it should have at least it should it shouldn't have happened

06:39in this movie they should have like set it up and like tie it into the next movie as a

06:45what a reveal should happen because it did not felt like it was but to me to be honest it felt

06:52something that they probably came up with last minute thinking about it too because a lot of stuff

06:57in the movie till then felt you look at and it feels like it's seamless you know and that is one bit

07:05that sort of sticks out like a sore thumb not too much to say but compared to how well everything

07:12else was done that's just the one thing that felt like it probably wasn't planned in the start that

07:19is my opinion um but nonetheless it doesn't tank the movie at a hole for me um after the you know

07:26coming on to the ending and one of the roller credits they do this generic thing where they have this

07:31post credit scene and credits you know whatever and they set up bad boys 4 i can't really go into

07:39that because it involved the twist in the movie i don't want to spoil it for you guys because it's

07:45you know it might probably be more of a experience for you to witness it yourself um but i simply felt

07:52like it felt more like that was a stupid decision to be honest but anyways i was gonna wrap it up and to

07:59compare it to bad boys one two both of which i would say uh fear movies i would say those are like six

08:07out of the tens um i would give bad boys for life at eight out of ten it's it has great writing

08:18they have some really good moments and splendid directing and great cinematography for a movie like

08:26this stuff by the way it's not really a big budget it's more on the medium side so that's pretty nice

08:34and not to mention the fact that this is a big budget movie that gets good reviews and has been

08:41released in january like that thinking because so far i think other than bad boys alive this whole month

08:51we've had nothing but pretty shit movies to be honest um well there's probably been like one

08:56others so yeah guys i guess i've played with sums of the video uh let me know what you think
