00:17You okay?
00:20This is the collar.
00:21I think you should look at that again.
00:27It's a disaster.
00:28It's not flattering at all.
00:30The tailoring is very, very poor.
00:32I want to come up and take the neck off it.
00:34You are just barely in this competition.
00:38Lincoln, you just didn't measure up.
00:42I wanted it to be me, not him.
00:44Lincoln is gone!
00:47The winner of Project Runway Canada
00:49will receive a cover and a feature spread
00:51in Elle Canada magazine,

01:24and win everything they need to start their own fashion line.
01:38Tempers will flare.
01:39Hemlines will fly.
01:40And remember, fashion isn't always pretty.
01:44And remember, fashion isn't always pretty.
01:46And remember, fashion isn't always pretty.
01:47And remember, fashion isn't always pretty.
01:51Now the mood has changed a little bit, you know,
01:54it's more like competition and we're not only here to be friends.
01:57And we're not only here to be friends.
02:07I'm so during after yesterday, I'm just like,
02:09I was sure Megan would go, but it was really surprising that Lincoln won.
02:13Everyone was like so shocked and surprised, even Megan,
02:15even Megan, she's been on the edge of going since like two challenges.
02:19and we're not only here to be friends.
02:21I was so drained after yesterday, I was just like...
02:24I was sure Megan would go,
02:26but it was really surprising that Lincoln went.
02:30Everyone were like so shocked and surprised,
02:32even Megan, she's been on the edge of going
02:35since like two challenge.
02:49Hello designers, are you ready for your next challenge?
02:55First, let's bring all the models.
03:04You've worked with the same models until now.
03:07I think it's time to shake things up a bit now.
03:10You have a chance to pick up different models if you wish.
03:14Kendra, you won the last challenge.
03:17Therefore, you cannot be eliminated in this challenge.
03:21You can pick first.
03:24And not me.
03:30I think for me, three times the charm.
03:33So, I will pick Tray.
03:40The next designer to pick up the model is...
03:45Bedell.
03:47All right, um...
03:49The last time Gigi modeled for me,
03:51she was the last one to show up,
03:52and right then and there, I was...
03:54I thought to myself, you know,
03:55this is the girl that's gonna one day just not show up.
04:00I have seen a killer walk,
04:03and I can't wait to try it out, Ashley.
04:09My model got taken...
04:12by Bedell.
04:13I love you, Gigi.
04:17Michael.
04:18I'm gonna go with the draw.
04:22Sofia.
04:24I'll stay with Shandell.
04:26Steven.
04:29I'll take Gigi.
04:33Megan.
04:34I'm gonna stay with Leanne.
04:36I'm gonna stay with Leanne.
04:40Lucien.
04:40I will stay with Renée, thank you.
04:44Marie Genevier.
04:45I'm gonna stay with Chanel.
04:46I will stay with Leanne.
04:50Only three models left.
04:53And two designers?
04:54Chenet.
04:55Charnette.
04:58I'll keep Jacqueline.
05:02Well, Carly, it's all up to you.
05:07You have Lauren, and you have Shani.
05:09Your choice.
05:11I'm so sorry, guys.
05:13I'm going to go with Lauren.
05:15Okay, Lauren, you're in.
05:18I'm sorry, Shani.
05:20You're out.
05:22Ciao.
05:25Okay, you have your models.
05:27Now, designers, remember,
05:29Project Runway Canada is about proving
05:32that you have passion for fashion.
05:35Keep this in mind when Brian tells you
05:37about your next challenge.
05:40You will meet some very special guests
05:42at a party, and I will see you on the runway.
05:46Ciao.
05:47Bye.
05:51Don't even darts.
05:53When Vidal decided to choose Ashley,
05:58Stephen was not pleased.
06:00You're lucky we're not roommates,
06:02because I'd cut you during your sleep, bitch.
06:05He, like, turns into, like, a six-foot man,
06:07and his voice goes, like, ten feet deeper,
06:09and he just becomes Stephen.
06:12I said, whatever.
06:14I'll mop your ass up with the floor.
06:16You men talk about a party going on
06:24with special guests.
06:26You know, we're like, oh, my God,
06:27what kind of stars we're going to meet?
06:31Hello, designers!
06:36We're like, oh, my God, what is going on?
06:39Hi, guys.
06:39Welcome to the party.
06:41Meet your muse for your next challenge,
06:43the Bratz Dolls.
06:46All the little girls are holding Bratz Dolls,
06:48and there's Bratz stuff everywhere.
06:51This is Jasmine.
06:52Her father, Isaac Larian,
06:54founded MGA Entertainment,
06:56the company that created the Bratz Dolls.
06:59Girls buy these dolls,
07:00and they use their imagination.
07:02The clothing is meant to be styled,
07:05and it's meant to be fun and funky.
07:07I've had the pleasure of working
07:09in the design department for the Bratz Dolls,
07:12and our goal is to keep these dolls
07:14on the cutting edge of fashion.
07:17Keep in mind, the Bratz are the only girls
07:19with a passion for fashion
07:21who are all about inspiring individuality,
07:24self-expression, diversity, and empowerment.
07:28Designers, your next challenge
07:30is to create a Bratz-inspired outfit
07:32for your model.
07:34This is the Bratz Fan Club.
07:36They are the experts.
07:38You will have 30 minutes to hang out and sketch,
07:41and two days to complete this challenge.
07:44Good luck.
07:48We had to actually talk to the kids as well
07:51and see what they think.
07:53Maybe she should have, like, colorful eye heels.
07:56You know, not black or brown,
07:57but something a little bit more funky.
07:59I like eye heels, yeah.
08:01You know, it's kind of analyzing your market a little bit.
08:04What's that dress there?
08:05You know, it's a passion, it's a fashion club.
08:09One of them wanted to become a designer,
08:11and the other two want to be actresses.
08:13That's why I'm trying to create a new image for her.
08:15Bratz goes to Oscars.
08:17Yeah, I like that.
08:18You like that?
08:18Keep in mind, this is a Bratz-inspired,
08:22and should, like, stage her to the brand.
08:24Make it unique.
08:25Make this doll really unique.
08:27See the netting underneath here?
08:29Yes.
08:29It's not ordinary.
08:31I said, if you were to go in a store,
08:33and you have a doll that's wearing a beautiful gown,
08:35all with sparkles,
08:36and if you have a punk girl,
08:39I said, which one would you take?
08:40And they said, definitely the punk.
08:42What if her dress sort of showed a little bit in the front?
08:45Like, it went like this.
08:46Is it too much, do you think?
08:47Would the girls go say, like, ew?
08:49Maybe a bit less than that.
08:51What a cool girl would wear if she went camping.
08:55Oh, camping.
08:56I decided to do the campfire Bratz.
09:00How difficult can camping be, really?
09:03Do you have to go camping to know what's involved with camping?
09:06I mean, God.
09:08No, I've never been camping.
09:16After we talked to the girls,
09:17we went straight to the fabric store.
09:19Designers, you'll have $100 to spend,
09:21and 45 minutes to do it.
09:23Let's go.
09:27Everyone's shop's very different.
09:29I sort of just wander and look
09:31and try to figure out what I want.
09:34Sophia's always ready to, like, drop her purse,
09:36just, like, dash.
09:37And Lucien's bargaining on the side.
09:39So, how much is this?
09:40$7.99 a year.
09:41Oh.
09:42This is $6.99.
09:43$8.99.
09:44What would you like, sir?
09:45How much money do I have to $70?
09:47You should have a calculator.
09:49They did not.
09:50They took my calculator.
09:51I'm trying to create a brat doll
09:55that they don't have right now.
09:57So, the concept is a Victorian brat doll,
10:00almost vintage.
10:02What do you want?
10:02Half a yard?
10:03It's so narrow.
10:05$7.99.
10:09I would wear that.
10:10I ended up finding everything right away.
10:12It's got comic book print on it.
10:14It's really rad and very L.A.
10:15Wow, it's blinding the doll.
10:17It's reflective.
10:18It glows in the dark.
10:20Since I live and work in Shanghai,
10:22I thought, why not do, like, a Shanghai brat?
10:24So, I'm doing a little cute chi-pao.
10:27It's a traditional Chinese top.
10:2924 yards.
10:30It's so expensive.
10:31Oh, I don't know.
10:32Designers, you've got 15 minutes.
10:47I only have, like, $11 for trying to...
10:49Yeah.
10:53Luchen's disappeared.
10:54Where is he?
10:56$84 is all ready with the taxes.
10:59I calculated.
11:00One of four.
11:03Luchen!
11:05I'm coming!
11:08Luchen, I can't believe you.
11:09You've got about a minute and 30 seconds left.
11:11We're ready.
11:12We're ready.
11:12We're ready.
11:13We're ready.
11:13We're ready.
11:14We're ready.
11:14We're ready.
11:14Okay.
11:20Come on.
11:2130 more seconds.
11:22This is not the happening game.
11:2330 more seconds.
11:24Did you hear me?
11:2530 seconds.
11:28Bye.
11:35Next, on Project Runway Canada.
11:38I think that Megan shouldn't be here.
11:40She's taking this opportunity to be here from people that deserve it more.
11:43I hear that you want to leave.
11:53For this challenge, I'm planning to make something really fashion-y for the kids.
12:03They liked wearing little bustier dress and maybe, like, and denim jacket as well.
12:08The main thing I took from speaking with the girls was they like buying a doll that has a theme.
12:14So I decided I was going to go with an Egyptian theme.
12:17Uh-oh, I'm doing a collar, too.
12:21That's exactly what I'm drafting.
12:23I'm just coming up a win, so I have immunity, but I don't think that I'm going to drop the ball.
12:28I'm going to work just as hard.
12:29Waist to knee is 28, 15 across her back from underarm to underarm.
12:35I have a new model for this challenge.
12:38My model, Ashley, got taken, so I now have Gigi.
12:42I think she is perfect for this challenge because she's got these enormous eyes, and she looks like a Brax doll.
12:50What size shoe is she?
12:52She's a nine, but she'll fit an eight.
12:54How's it going, you guys?
12:59My gorgeous Megan, how's it going?
13:01I'm still keeping with my whole China theme.
13:04Yeah, so this is going to Shanghai.
13:07Yeah, Brax goes to Shanghai.
13:09Think big, because it's on a runway, and the judges are looking at you.
13:14Okay.
13:15Sophia, there's a lot of detail on here.
13:18Is that how short the skirt is?
13:19Yes, I figured the skirt is just really, really short, yeah.
13:23Ouch.
13:23You need not to forget what Brax represents the young girls, too.
13:28So be careful on your length as far as appropriateness goes.
13:32I know a lot of designers are doing cutesy, pretty things, and that's fine.
13:37But I'll stay with what I picked.
13:39These are inspirational dolls, and you know what?
13:42You better have a story to go with it.
13:44All right?
13:45Okay, you guys, you have an hour and 45 minutes.
13:48Get busy so fast, and get some sleep tonight.
13:52Good night.
13:56I haven't seen too many garments in Judy's.
14:00No one with Judy's dress.
14:02I don't know how that's going to work out.
14:05Tails down.
14:07Roger.
14:08Move it, bitches.
14:09Good morning, everyone.
14:25Good morning.
14:26Looks like there's still a lot of fabric on the table.
14:29You really need to speed things up.
14:31I don't see any creations on the Judy's.
14:33This is kind of freaking me out a little bit.
14:35Because today, not only are you going to finish these creations, you're making a mini version of your creation for the Bratz doll.
14:41The doll and the model are going to the runway, and both will be judged.
14:48You have until 5 o'clock today to finish everything.
14:53What?
14:53All right?
14:53What?
14:54Yes.
14:55Honest.
14:56You have until 5 o'clock, and then you're going to take the model and the doll, and you're going to hit the street and take some photos.
15:04That will capture the whole story of what you're going to present to Jasmine.
15:09Not only does it end at 5, we have to get the models fit.
15:12We have to get the models ready, and we have to go out and shoot them.
15:17It kind of scares me because I wanted to do this elaborate garment, and now I don't have the time to make it.
15:21So everybody had to basically re-adjust their designs.
15:25Let's go.
15:25Okay?
15:26I'll see you later.
15:34Why is everyone taking my machine when I have an hour left to go?
15:42I'm going to kill you.
15:45Don't worry, Lucien.
15:45You're fine.
15:46No, I'm not.
15:47Because I have a lot of work to do.
15:48It's detailed.
15:48Just finish it.
15:49Lucien finally built a piece that I can understand.
15:53It's very organic.
15:54It looked like a tree trunk sprouting out a little fairy princess.
16:01I haven't even covered her privates yet.
16:04How the heck does this plate go back on?
16:09Megan has been having a really, really hard time lately.
16:14I'm worried that this is, like, really little.
16:17Whatever.
16:18I don't have time to fix it now.
16:19I think because of the last two challenges, she's had issues in finishing her garments on time.
16:24I could just tell she's a little bit sad.
16:27I'd like to finish my garment and have it actually look finished on the runway.
16:30Because I don't want to show crap.
16:34It's tough to make my freaking doll outfit.
16:35She has yet to have the zipper going properly.
16:39She's yet to have a seam, not pucker.
16:41I officially give up.
16:48I'm done.
16:49Like, I can't.
16:50I don't want to do this anymore.
16:52She just wanted to go home.
16:53I think she's just fed up.
16:54I just feel like if I stay here, I'm going to feel really shitty about myself.
16:58I can't force you to stay if you want to go.
17:01I mean, I think I'm probably, like, the least likely to be here at the end.
17:04Oh.
17:09Okay, let's bring in the models and get that happening.
17:12There they are.
17:13Right on.
17:14That's excellent.
17:15This is the doll we got.
17:16Have you heard of these things?
17:17Oh, I've got rat dolls.
17:19I like it.
17:20Where's my model?
17:26All the other designers are standing with their models.
17:30I'm looking for my model, and she's nowhere to be seen.
17:34Steven, your model, Gigi, she's dropped out.
17:39So we brought back Jessica.
17:42There she is.
17:43She's ready for you.
17:44Beautiful.
17:47I think you'll be fine.
17:48You just have to get busy and fit it on her.
17:51Steven had made an outfit for a size two and ended up having a size six model to fit with
17:57a couple hours before the photo shoot.
17:59So I would get her into something really quickly because you need to know how it's fitting.
18:02Yeah.
18:03I felt bad, and no, I didn't.
18:07Oh, my God.
18:09Oh, my God.
18:09Oh, my God.
18:10Okay.
18:11So you're a Victorian brat.
18:14You don't look impressed.
18:16This is hot.
18:17Yeah.
18:18We're good?
18:20When I put the outfit on the new model, it fit.
18:25Barely.
18:25Okay, you guys, time to leave to go and take some pictures.
18:35We had an half an hour with a camera to do our photo shoot to actually express what the
18:41doll was about.
18:42Like, how do you sew?
18:47I don't even know how to sew something in miniature.
18:50These challenges are so ridiculous.
18:54I think that Megan shouldn't be here if she doesn't want to be here.
18:58You know, she's taking this opportunity to be here from people that deserve it more.
19:02This looks great.
19:03It's not a Bratz doll.
19:05You know what, Megan?
19:05Megan, I think that's up to interpretation.
19:08Now, I'm a little concerned, and the reason I'm encouraging you is because I hear that
19:13you want to leave.
19:15I'm going to cry.
19:16But, Megan, it's okay to cry.
19:18But you know what?
19:18I really think you've got something good.
19:21Every friggin' time, it's like the drama of Megan not finishing her garments, and...
19:27Megan, you will have time to finish it.
19:29Why would I put myself through that and kill my confidence?
19:32That's what this is making me feel.
19:34Look at me.
19:35When you set out to do something, you take the chance of somebody liking it or not liking it.
19:42You never start something halfway and not finish it.
19:45There is no credibility, no integrity to that.
19:47Take the time to finish it.
19:49That's what's important.
19:50I don't quit on anything, but I'm just sort of like, I just...
19:53Then I would like not to see you quit on this.
19:55No way.
19:56No way.
20:05After our outfits were done, we had to do a photo shoot that captured the mood of our theme.
20:13So make sure the photo represents the story that you've created for your doll.
20:17Okay, designers, you have 30 minutes.
20:19Go!
20:19Come on, let's run.
20:22Can you run in those?
20:23I can run in these.
20:24You can run.
20:25I'm running.
20:26My Bratz doll was going to a Hollywood Hills pool party.
20:30So we're trying to find places that looked like she would be at poolside.
20:34Okay, Bratz can't have their legs like that.
20:35I know.
20:36Okay, girl, let's go.
20:38It's all good.
20:39You're camping, sweetie.
20:40Exactly.
20:41Jessica remembered a park that was nearby.
20:45It's under the bridge?
20:46Yeah.
20:46She wasn't sure exactly where it was.
20:49Over that way?
20:50It was like up and then over more.
20:52Oh, my God.
20:54How about me rolling around in the grass?
20:57No.
20:58Can I pretend to pee on it?
21:00No.
21:01You're not amused with me, huh?
21:03No, forget about this.
21:05That's it.
21:07This is so gross.
21:08That was really disgusting.
21:10Come, baby.
21:11Come, come, come.
21:13It's not Oscar-like.
21:14I need a red carpet.
21:17I'm a perfectionist by nature.
21:19And so where am I going to find the red carpet and the gold backdrop?
21:23You know, there's no way.
21:25Beautiful.
21:26This is gorgeous.
21:27I think we've got it.
21:28I'm going to do a cheesy, campy Egyptian pose.
21:33So you're going to hold the umbrella?
21:35Okay.
21:36I'm being blown away.
21:37Okay.
21:39That is wicked, actually.
21:41I like that one.
21:42Cute.
21:44Come on.
21:45And we're smiling because we are brats.
21:49Okay.
21:50I don't like this car.
21:51She was L.A. brat and nobody walks in L.A.
21:54Everybody drives, so I want to just stick her in a car.
21:57I want a sports car to drive by and I want to stop them.
22:03Yes, look to the sun.
22:04Oh, yeah.
22:05Okay.
22:06Okay, let's go.
22:07So we went out.
22:09I was still unsure what I really wanted to do, but I was like, okay, we'll just see this challenge
22:13through to the end and whatever the judges decide, they decide.
22:16This is kind of cute.
22:17Start posing.
22:17I was able to find somehow in like random alleys in Toronto some scenery that kind of
22:22looked like Shanghai, believe it or not.
22:24Yeah, that's good.
22:26Look for somebody with a dog.
22:28Great.
22:29Beautiful.
22:30Walk with the dog, like fierce walk, though, you know?
22:32That's awesome.
22:33Cool.
22:34We can release the hounds now.
22:36High five.
22:45When we got back to the Rosemont, we needed to relax.
22:47It was a very stressful day.
22:49Are you drunk?
22:50Good.
22:51No, it's not.
22:52Why?
22:52It's about time.
22:53You've been working too hard.
22:55You need to drink.
22:55I'm very nervous.
22:57Oh, Lucienne.
22:58If I was judging your dress tomorrow, I would have said, so why didn't you stop halfway?
23:06The pieces you had with just the fabric, I was like, and then the trim went on and I
23:11was like, and I was like, and I was like, almost angry.
23:15I know, but I couldn't just do it like that.
23:16It's too grandma.
23:18So who do you think the bottom is?
23:19It's like they're going to pick between China or Egypt.
23:24Oh, no Egypt.
23:25No, I know.
23:26I tried if I did anything I fucking could.
23:28I was like, girl, just...
23:29But Egypt has a good track record.
23:32Good night, guys.
23:33Thank you for posting.
23:34Bye.
23:35I love that we can come back here and actually be real because everyone's so fucking nice
23:41and being like, love it.
23:43And it's like...
23:44I don't think so.
23:45Yeah, I don't think so.
23:46I think you could have fucking done something better.
23:48There's no way any of us could go tomorrow.
23:50And if they do, it'll just be like, what?
23:52Because there's way worse.
23:54There's people that just broke down this time.
23:55Does anyone have any snaps they want to give me?
24:16No.
24:18If they say anything about my construction on the slit,
24:22I'm just going to have to say, like, I normally don't use this kind of jersey because I don't.
24:27If I were you, I'd close the slit and make it super, super skin tight all the way down.
24:32Kind of like the slit.
24:36I'm just thinking if they wanted to start a series of brats,
24:40they could start one like this,
24:42where they're all sort of lacy and with corsets.
24:46As a little girl, I was really into dolls.
24:48I would make my own dolls and then I'd make clothing for them.
24:51I really want to win a challenge.
24:53I hate not being able to win a challenge.
24:55That's the reason why I do challenges, to win every time.
24:59I may have slight advantage.
25:01I have three children and their ages are 10, almost 12 and 14.
25:06So I know for sure I will not get eliminated.
25:09Morning, everybody.
25:11Morning.
25:12How are you?
25:13Good?
25:14You all have until 12 noon to finish everything.
25:17Make sure you use the winner's accessory wall.
25:20Eddie and Eric are upstairs in the L'Oreal Paris beauty room.
25:25So bring in the models.
25:29And I'm going to make you a little air bend as well.
25:32Is that a big enough triangle?
25:36So how do we feel about today?
25:38I don't know.
25:39I'm just doing it.
25:40I'm doing today.
25:41Good.
25:42Everyone's asking me how I'm feeling.
25:43I'm like, I'm not feeling anything.
25:44I'm just being.
25:45Believe in yourself, okay?
25:46All right.
25:46Good.
25:56Hello.
25:57Hello.
25:58Bonjour, Chonette.
25:59We just need more blush to be more cheeky.
26:02Okay.
26:02The hair is good.
26:03Just a little bit more height.
26:05That's it.
26:05I was thinking maybe younger in the makeup.
26:12Just more fresh.
26:16Bratz in Shanghai.
26:17I want her to look like a Chinese doll.
26:20But like a bratty Chinese doll.
26:22Her hair sticks straight.
26:23High ponytail.
26:24Make it really high, but kind of maybe if you can give it so it has a little spunk to it.
26:27Yeah.
26:28All right.
26:28Shandell looked like a doll.
26:31You just wanted to take her by the legs and wave her around and say, look at my doll.
26:40What is that?
26:41What is that on my head?
26:42I love this.
26:44What do you want to do?
26:44I want it.
26:45You want to put it on?
26:45Yeah.
26:46I want it.
26:48Woo-hoo!
26:53I'm so tempted to just f***ing staple this thing.
26:56Okay.
26:57Let's look for earrings.
26:58Come, come, come.
27:05Oh, your pantaloons are showing.
27:07I'm excited.
27:09Okay.
27:10Okay, everyone.
27:11Time to put your tools down, get your models ready, and it's time to go to the runway.
27:16Let's go.
27:18Oh, s***.
27:19Okay, let's go.
27:20Hello, designers.
27:28Hello.
27:29Hello.
27:29Hello.
27:29Hello.
27:29Hi.
27:30This challenge was to create an outfit for your model, to transform her into a life-size
27:37Brad's doll.
27:38You had to make your model.
27:39You had to make your outfit twice, one for the runway, and one for your doll.
27:43You also had to photograph your model in a scene that showed the story behind your design.
27:52Once again, let me introduce to you, the judges, first, from El Canada, editor-in-chief, Rita
28:00Sylvan, from Bustle Clothing, Sean Hewson, and our special guest judge, Jasmine Larian.
28:08Her father created Bratz.
28:10She's the ultimate expert on what works and what doesn't for Bratz.
28:16Now, let's see how you all did.
28:18So, let's start the show.
28:28I felt turned on when I saw my model walk down the runway.
28:31She stomped it.
28:32She's hot.
28:34And those pants I made in an hour before she showed up fit her like a glove.
28:37I thought, this is wrong if I don't win this.
28:47I was really proud to see her rocking that dress and the shoes and the bracelets and the
28:52whole styling.
28:53Oh, she was so adorable.
29:07When I saw my design coming down the runway, I felt good, but I thought that I didn't have
29:14enough time to make it perfect.
29:15So, it could have been tweaked a little bit.
29:25I was like, oh, okay, this looks pretty, you know.
29:28She looks really cute and I like the shape and the leggings, like, it's a good idea.
29:33And, yeah, she looks like a little doll.
29:35I actually, I wasn't loving it as much as I wanted to.
29:52Probably because, you know, it was on a different model and a different body and therefore a different
29:56fit.
29:57When Joelle was walking down the runway, I was worried because I knew it wasn't necessarily
30:11the perfect bra outfit.
30:12I had done an Egyptian theme and I really liked it, but I pretty much knew it was going
30:17to be a bit controversial.
30:26I actually, believe it or not, had completely finished stuff on the runway for once.
30:31It fit her well.
30:32She wasn't sewn into anything.
30:34So, I sent something down on the runway that I was proud of and I think it accomplished what
30:38I wanted it to.
30:47I'm a little concerned about the skin and sexiness, but the Bratz dolls do come off a little bit
30:52sexy and sultry.
31:06She definitely looked like a doll because the slogan of Bratz was hip and edgy, fashion
31:13trend centers, and, and I thought my outfit was hip and edgy.
31:32I thought my outfit really stood out on the runway.
31:35But she was the only model who was taking her time and nonchalantly playing and looking around,
31:40which was exactly what I told her to do.
31:43Of course, I was keeping my fingers crossed that I didn't go overboard.
32:04We've scored and judged your designs.
32:06If I say your name, please step forward.
32:15Videl.
32:19Carly.
32:25Marie Genevieve.
32:33Kendra.
32:36You're all still in the competition.
32:41You may leave the runway.
32:47Oh my God, feels great.
32:52The rest of you had the highest scores and the lowest scores.
32:59Let's bring out your models.
33:00Let's bring out your models.
33:06Michael, we'll start with you.
33:09Tell us about your dress.
33:11Well, when I was speaking to the little girls and we got the challenge, they expressed to
33:15me how much they love dolls from different parts of the world.
33:18I thought of an Egyptian goddess.
33:20Overall, I think it's a little too mature.
33:23I would say that the slit on both dresses is sort of an issue with respect to the position
33:28of the Bratz brand.
33:29I think it's a little bit sexy and particularly on the doll.
33:32I think it's even like insanely high.
33:34The fabric that you chose is, I know, very difficult, but it really took the elegance
33:40of it and minimized it quite a bit.
33:45Lucien.
33:45I created a dress, a couture dress.
33:49Bratz is going at the Oscars or at the Grammys.
33:51It's a bit of a Beyonce with a twist, I'd say.
33:54When I look at your doll, I think you've done the best job, actually, with the doll.
33:59And it also looks like the kind of doll that my niece might run up to in a store and say,
34:04like, what's this?
34:05You know, the color is great.
34:06I love this because I love your fabric choices.
34:10The taffeta is amazing.
34:11I do love the color, but we've been seeing a very similar style from you, a very similar
34:17idea.
34:17What I expected from you, Lucien, is to move forward.
34:21You're still doing the same thing.
34:26Charnette.
34:27I wanted to start a series worth a Victorian look for the dolls.
34:32The idea was to start something that the Bratz series didn't have.
34:36So you're trying to fill a niche that wasn't there?
34:38Yes.
34:38Okay.
34:38I think it's a genius idea to think it that way.
34:41It's exuberant.
34:42It's fun.
34:43I love that explosion of turquoise.
34:46I was blown away.
34:47Charnette.
34:49This really, you really thought about the brand and the kids who are going to be playing
34:53with the doll.
34:54You did an amazing job.
34:58Steven.
34:59Well, I love nature.
35:01One thing I really hate to see is so many kids these days who stay inside and they watch
35:06TV.
35:07We have a campfire Bratz and I want to know how her outfit is suitable for outdoors.
35:14Well, it's not meant to be literally worn outdoors.
35:17I just don't understand how that's how you dress to go outside.
35:20I thought this is Dukes of Hazzard on acid.
35:24It's out there and not in a good way.
35:28Do you go camping?
35:29I've never been camping before.
35:31I'd really like to though, but I've never been.
35:34It shows.
35:35This would not survive black fly season in Canada.
35:40Let me put it that way.
35:44Sophia.
35:46I've created an outfit that is hip and edgy.
35:50When I talked to the girls at the party, they told me that if you were to come to the store
35:56and you saw a glamorous doll or a rock star, which one would you take?
36:03And they both said, yeah, the rock star.
36:06Well, I took a rock star.
36:09But what I will say, it's not even sexy and it's not edgy.
36:13It's like a pretend edgy.
36:15I didn't see any individuality to it.
36:17Overall, you didn't take a risk.
36:20I feel like we've done it before over and over again.
36:24This was your opportunity to step out and do something kind of crazy.
36:30Megan.
36:32Tell us about your dress.
36:34I currently live and work in Shanghai.
36:36So I sort of thought that she sort of is on this whirlwind fashion tour
36:41and she stops off in Shanghai and she picks up a little cheap out top,
36:45but she is still fashion-y, so she throws it with her own little bubble skirt.
36:50But I still wanted to keep with the bright colors and the Asian theme,
36:53so I did it in like a raw silk.
36:55So it makes it sort of a little bit more fun.
36:57But I heard that you had some difficulties, some challenges.
37:00It wasn't so much the outfit.
37:02It was more just the situation.
37:04I heard that you really wanted to leave the competition.
37:07I don't want to cry.
37:08It's okay.
37:10For me, my strength is concept.
37:15My strength is really, like, coming up with the whole idea in this situation
37:19when a lot of my competitors, they're strong in everything.
37:24I just wouldn't want to show anything that I'm not proud of,
37:30which was the case the other day.
37:31It's okay, because, you know, probably all that,
37:34you channeled it on that, and I thought that was brilliant.
37:38Brilliant.
37:39That makes me really happy.
37:40It's the point.
37:41You hit the point, and I'm proud of you.
37:46You've given us a lot to think about.
37:48Please leave the runway while we decide who wins and loses this challenge.
37:53These days, you can never tell.
38:03Yeah, I was so nervous.
38:05I thought I was going to barf.
38:08Well, I think this was very tough for us, Jasmine,
38:11because I had to stop thinking about clothes that I would wear
38:14and think about Bratz dolls.
38:17Let's start with Michael.
38:19You're putting it in a theme.
38:20It's great, but at the same time, the slit is ridiculously high.
38:25Yeah.
38:25Suppose the slit was not that high, and it was in red.
38:29Wouldn't that have made something?
38:32Not really.
38:33No, it didn't blow me away.
38:34You're not buying you.
38:35You know, subtlety is not what you're looking for
38:37when you're creating an outfit for a Bratz doll.
38:41Lucien.
38:43Apropos of the challenge, he nailed it.
38:45I mean, that was great for a doll.
38:47He did a great job putting it on the doll.
38:50It actually was more alive on the doll,
38:52and it was, for me, it was less fussy on the doll.
38:55I think the dress was a little bit overblown,
38:57as is his style, of course.
38:59He's got to move it along and start editing.
39:05Charnette.
39:06We all liked her.
39:07She really thought about the play factor
39:09and about the consumer.
39:11Her model looked the most like a doll to me.
39:14Exactly.
39:14Like a Bratz doll.
39:15I just wanted to put her in a package
39:17and sell her like that.
39:18Grab her and sell her fake.
39:21Okay, Megan.
39:23To come here and to have kind of an emotional breakdown
39:27and kind of distract the other designers
39:29a little bit from their work
39:31is not really appropriate.
39:32If she wants to go, she should go.
39:34But her dress would keep her in the competition
39:37as far as I'm concerned.
39:38She had a point of view.
39:39She listened to what she was told about
39:41focusing on diversity
39:43as one of the elements of the challenge.
39:48Stephen.
39:48What do we think of Stephen?
39:50Each piece by itself is great.
39:52The limé capris were cool,
39:54but not for campfires.
39:56Well, he's never been camping, so...
39:58So why would you do campfire?
39:59To my mind, things should be taken to the extreme.
40:01If you're camping, you're camo.
40:03You're wearing green.
40:04You're ready to sleep on the ground.
40:06SofÃa.
40:10It didn't do it for me.
40:11A little kid, if they saw that,
40:13wouldn't go running for it.
40:15If I was going to do a rock star doll,
40:17it would be a lot more rock star than that.
40:20If you're going to do rock,
40:21immediately you think rock glam.
40:23Yes, absolutely.
40:24This was just under a rock.
40:27Ouch.
40:28Okay, now we are happy with our decision.
40:34Let's bring the designers back.
40:44Designers.
40:46As you all know, in fashion,
40:49sometimes you just don't measure up.
40:52Today's winner will get immunity.
40:54And cannot be eliminated in the next challenge.
41:19On the other hand,
41:21one of you will be out.
41:24Michael,
41:25you can stay for this week.
41:34Oh, good God, Ali.
41:35Oh, my God.
41:38Lucin,
41:39you're still in the competition.
41:43You may lead the runway.
41:46Oh, my God.
41:47Good.
41:48Good.
41:48And now,
41:51for the winner of this challenge,
41:52congratulations,
42:00Chanette.
42:07Yours was truly a vivacious design.
42:10Thank you so much.
42:11It's creative.
42:13It's cool.
42:14You rocked it.
42:16That means so much to me.
42:17Thank you so much.
42:18You may lead the runway.
42:20You may lead the runway.
42:23Did you win?
42:24Yeah!
42:27I was very happy to win a challenge.
42:28I've been trying to win a challenge
42:30ever since I got here.
42:31Congratulations!
42:33I couldn't even get words out
42:34to say thank you.
42:35I was so close to just fainting.
42:40Megan,
42:41we believe your outfit was good enough.
42:45You may lead the runway.
42:49Megan is here.
42:57It's down to you, too.
43:00Steven,
43:01you said your outfit was inspired by camping,
43:06but you yourself have never been.
43:08And it shows.
43:11Sophia,
43:12you wanted a rock star,
43:15but your doll looked like
43:17a cheap groupie.
43:20Sophia,
43:21your whole package was wrong.
43:27Steven,
43:27your individual pieces
43:34saved you,
43:35but you're hanging
43:37by a thread.
43:39you can leave the runway.
43:41You can leave the runway.
43:54Sophia,
43:55I'm sorry.
43:56You just don't measure up.
43:57Thank you for the opportunity.
44:00Good luck.
44:02Good luck.
44:02Sophia.
44:10Sophia.
44:11That's okay.
44:12We thought it looked like a brand.
44:14No way.
44:17Wish you last.
44:19It's good while it lasted.
44:22Sophia?
44:23Yes?
44:24You are an exceptionally talented woman.
44:26You are.
44:27And I want to wish you all the luck in the world.
44:28You've experienced the competition.
44:30Now let's take your things away
44:32and see you continue to great success.
44:34Absolutely.
44:35Okay?
44:37A woman is like a teabag.
44:40You never know how strong she is
44:42until you put her in the hot water.
44:45Sometimes just that extra sweet push,
44:47that's all you really need
44:48to show the world
44:49yes, yes,
44:50I am here
44:51and my name is Sophia Duncan
44:53and this is what I like to do.
44:57Next time
44:58on Project Runway Canada.
45:00Are you ready?
45:01This challenge
45:02is your first team challenge.
45:04It's like
45:05a whole building collapsed on me.
45:08Where's Steven?
45:09I'm not really used to taking orders.
45:11Are you guys happy
45:12with what you have in your hands?
45:15Can't have it.
45:16We can't have it?
45:16No.
45:17This is not the way
45:18I want to go down.
45:20We're right out of time.
45:22It's the last group challenge
45:24I'll ever be in.
45:25I want to go down.
45:32We'll be glad to go down.
45:34We'll see you next time.
45:35We'll be glad to hear you.
45:38We'll be glad to be here.
45:39Run away, run away
45:46Run away, run away
