02:23Let's bring out your models.

03:28Sunny.
03:29I'm going to keep my girl, Tori.
03:30I'm staying with Ramada.
03:31Margarita.
03:32In the first challenge, I told my model not to do a horse trot.
03:45She knew exactly what was coming to her.
03:49I'm very straight up with people.
03:52I'm going to stick with Lauren for one more challenge.
03:56You've got to prove yourself, girl.
03:58Okay.
03:59You heard it, Lauren.
04:01You can leave the runway.
04:04Jessica.
04:05I'm going with Alyssa.
04:08So, last name in the bag, you, Jeff.
04:15Whichever model you pick will stay in the competition.
04:20The one you don't pick will be out.
04:25We have Alison and we have Cathy.
04:28You're cold, Jeff.
04:30Who do you want to work with?
04:32I really enjoyed working with Cathy.
04:34I'm going to stick with Cathy.
04:36Congratulations.
04:37You may leave the runway.
04:39Sorry, Alison.
04:40Oh, it's okay.
04:41I had a great time.
04:42Oh, good.
04:44Bye.
04:45Good luck, everybody.
04:46Bye.
04:48Bye-bye.
04:49Are you ready for your next challenge?
04:53Yes!
04:54Okay.
04:55You will create a glamorous garment for an A-list celebrity.
05:02Designers, Alicia Cuthbert.
05:06What I like to do is design for celebrities, so to be able to dress someone like Alicia is huge.
05:21I think she's smoking hot.
05:23I think she's really, really, really good looking.
05:25She's been in The Girl Next Door, House of Wax.
05:29She's on 24.
05:30And Popular Mechanics for Kids, which back in the day, totally watched it.
05:35Hello, designers.
05:36Hello.
05:37As you know, I am a Canadian girl, but I do live in Hollywood.
05:42And I was hoping for this challenge that you would design something for me that I could wear a glam outfit for a big night on the town.
05:50Alicia will meet you back at the mansion, where you will get to know more about her and her style.
05:57Good luck, designers.
05:58Ciao.
05:59Bye.
06:00Bye.
06:05So, is she coming here or what?
06:08So, Alicia, coming to the mansion, that's exciting.
06:13The right celebrity wearing your outfit to the right event can launch a career.
06:18Cheers, everybody.
06:19Cheers.
06:20Woo-hoo.
06:21I'm beautiful.
06:22Oh, my God.
06:23Hey.
06:24Major celebrity just chilling with some homies in the house?
06:28That's pretty dope.
06:29Alicia has a love for fashion, and you need to know what that love is.
06:35Let's start the party now.
06:37I know I'm wearing a lot of black right now, but I do like color.
06:43And, you know, I love blue.
06:45My eyes are blue.
06:46I like wearing blue.
06:47I like wearing blue.
06:48It's very important for the designer to listen to a client and what they have to say, because
06:53in the end, they're the one who's going to wear your outfit.
06:58We decided to break up into smaller groups and just have a little bit more private time.
07:03If you wanted to hide a body part, what would that be?
07:06If I'm showing a lot of upper body, I tend not to want to show the lower half of my body.
07:13You know, I kind of keep that as a rule.
07:15That would be classy, not trashy kind of thing.
07:17Exactly.
07:18Being in the bottom, too, it was really intense and really scary.
07:21Coming into this challenge, I'm really excited.
07:23You're ready to go.
07:24You're like, like, let's get designing.
07:27Hi, sunshine.
07:28Hi.
07:29I think it's my time to steal you away.
07:30Hi.
07:31I'm going to take you to the living room.
07:32Okay.
07:33All right.
07:34Are you single?
07:35Oh, my God.
07:36This is about fashion.
07:38Yeah, love.
07:39Are you looking to pick up a guy?
07:41It's not making that sense, but...
07:44Look, you know, it's...
07:46I don't dress to pick up, but I do dress to look very nice.
07:50It's got to be tasteful, right?
07:52You don't want to pull a Britney.
07:53No, don't want to pull a Britney.
07:55It was sort of like a free-for-all, like trying to get her attention.
07:58Who needs her to come with me?
07:59Okay, let me grab my purse and my drink.
08:01Okay.
08:02I need these.
08:03Upstairs.
08:04I'd like to go somewhere private with you.
08:05I think she thought I wanted to make out with her or something, because she looked kind
08:12of reluctant.
08:13She was like, why is this girl taking me upstairs?
08:15I just wanted to ask her some questions about the dress.
08:18Okay.
08:1952 questions.
08:20Let's go.
08:21I like sharp looks, you know?
08:23Yeah, I like...
08:24Like powerful?
08:25Powerful women.
08:26Okay.
08:27Exactly.
08:28Okay.
08:29Are you more into cute or like femme fatale?
08:31Probably femme fatale.
08:32Yeah, I think...
08:33I think girly can look a little...
08:36No one takes you seriously?
08:38Prom-y.
08:39I was a little nervous in the beginning, because I was like, I don't really know anything
08:41about this girl.
08:42Very nice to meet you.
08:43I've never dressed a celebrity before, but like, I would love to.
08:47Party on and have fun!
09:01Designers, welcome to Rockland Textile.
09:04This is a one-day challenge, and you will have $150 to spend, and 45 minutes to shop.
09:13Designers, get busy.
09:20If you don't know how to run in heels, you better learn quick.
09:23So I was running around, and I found a black fabric that had a shine to it, and a slight
09:29stretch, and because I'm doing something so fitted, it really, I think it was really
09:34a great find.
09:38Do you know how to sew this kind of fabric?
09:40Yeah, I do.
09:45Hmm.
09:46I chose a teal silk charmless for Alicia, because she said her best features were her eyes,
09:52and she wanted to bring them out.
09:54I'm just going to grab things and figure out in the end what I actually want.
09:58When I was at Rockland, I honestly had no idea where I was going or what I was going to
10:02do with my design.
10:03I just went on a whim and grabbed what I liked and figured I'd have a solution when I got
10:08back to the studio.
10:09Give me seven meters, please.
10:11Seven's more than enough.
10:14I want to emphasize one big word.
10:16Glamour.
10:17Well, I actually got this material that has, like, lots of multicolors in it.
10:25I know Brian was like,
10:27I'm joking.
10:28What are you doing, girl?
10:29I want to take a risk.
10:30Like, I want to stand out.
10:31I don't want to be, like, the same as everybody.
10:33I'll see if it works, because I do have immunity.
10:36Okay, designers, you have one minute.
10:40You have to be at the counter and cashed out.
10:43Am I the last person?
10:45Okay, gotta go.
10:47Okay, gotta go.
10:48Okay, gotta go.
10:49I wish I got more beads, but maybe it's a good thing.
11:18I was trying to keep it really chic and just really simple, not do anything too crazy because
11:23I did something really crazy last time and it got me in trouble and this is a really
11:28important competition for me.
11:30I'm really excited what I'm doing.
11:33It's like a full front fill coverage and then it's an open back with like a stand back collar
11:37across the back.
11:38For a celebrity to wear one of your pieces, it's humongous.
11:43I would be ecstatic if Alicia liked my design and I think she really is going to like it.
11:48I want to do like a bustier style dress, pencil skirt, but I needed to visualize it, so I
11:55decided I would draw it.
11:56Okay, I just have to think about it.
12:00How you doing over there, Kimothy?
12:01Oh, I can't decide what I'm doing exactly.
12:07Maybe some of the boots.
12:08I love it.
12:09It's something I do.
12:11Brandon is not very focused, like he's very like over here, he's over there, he's doing
12:15this, he's got the fire under his ass.
12:17Oh.
12:18To actually go and like do it.
12:20Brandon has I think started and thrown away like two dresses already.
12:24He just like throws it up on the mannequin and then doesn't like it and gets rid of it.
12:28On to the second concept.
12:30He doesn't know what he's doing, I don't know what's going to happen with his dress.
12:33I'll have to go for a smoke to figure that one out.
12:35I was not worried about being able to design a dress.
12:38The way I work is like things just click for me.
12:40I go for a smoke, five minutes later I'm like okay, I'm going to go do that.
12:44And I got her.
12:45What?
12:46My women dress.
12:47Oh, that's good.
12:50See all I need is my little smoke break and I'm good to go.
12:55Fashion is a very competitive business, so if you're not competitive, you're probably
12:59going to get chewed alive.
13:01My whole goal is just to compare myself to myself and do my best.
13:05I think that you can get really caught up in negative thinking by worrying about what other
13:10people are doing.
13:14Last round was about not going home.
13:16This round's about being awesome.
13:17Ever since the elimination, personalities are very different.
13:22Like you can, there was like a switch that was just all of a sudden was like, oh, oh,
13:26okay, this is a little bit more who I truly am and I was just like, oh.
13:31How you doing, Margarita?
13:32I'm just trying to visualize.
13:33Oh, no.
13:34What?
13:35I'm doing the same thing.
13:36What?
13:37I'm doing like detailed down the center seam and tight like yours.
13:42What do you mean?
13:43Like it's my design and you didn't have anything and now all of a sudden you're doing the exact
13:48same thing I am.
13:49I thought it was really, really sketchy.
13:51I'll make it so we don't look the same.
13:52I don't understand how you could even do that design with turquoise polyester.
14:04How is that possible?
14:06If somebody ripped off one of my ideas, one of my design details, that would really
14:14piss me off.
14:15I think you should talk to him about it.
14:17I have to.
14:18Yeah, you have to.
14:19Just go have a better look at it and then drag him in here.
14:24Next, on Project Runway Canada.
14:28Brandon has big stories and not so much backing.
14:32Can I talk to you for a second?
14:33Yeah.
14:34I find myself a better designer than her.
14:36I find that really hard to believe.
14:38I could hurt her.
14:41Can I talk to you for a second?
14:42Yeah.
14:43I think it's really, really f***ed up that you had no clue what you were doing.
14:47And then you came over and saw my drawing and now you know what you're doing.
14:51Do you want to see my drawing in my sketchbook?
14:53When did you do that?
14:54I did it when I was smoking outside.
14:56You didn't see my drawing at all?
14:58No.
14:59I find that really hard to believe.
15:00I think that's f***ed up.
15:01I don't believe that he had the same sketch as I did.
15:04I think it's way too crazy.
15:06What are you going to do about this?
15:08I'm changing mine.
15:09You are?
15:10Yeah.
15:11So don't worry.
15:12Okay.
15:13What happened?
15:16I'll tell you later.
15:19It really offended me because I find myself a better designer than her.
15:23So I don't see why I would stoop low to copy someone else's designs.
15:28I don't know.
15:29I don't understand where she's coming from at all.
15:30Like, she was b***y.
15:31I was like, calm down, woman.
15:32F***ing rights, dude.
15:34I was like, that's retarded.
15:36Look at what you made last time.
15:38Look at what I made things.
15:39Yeah, I know.
15:40Intentions are high though, dude.
15:42This one's ripping you off.
15:43That's bulls***, dude.
15:44Talk to me.
15:45He said he's shot.
15:46He has to.
15:47Well, f***ing right, you shouldn't.
15:49I can design my own s***, thanks.
15:50And first of all, why would I want the same thing walking down the runway?
15:53It's going to be a rough challenge, dude.
15:55I could hurt her.
15:58Whatever, she's gone soon.
16:01Why did I take silk charmeers?
16:14Why did I do that?
16:15I know, homie.
16:16This time it was your choice.
16:17I know, and I don't know why.
16:19I was like, you can't blame nobody but yourself this time.
16:22The purpose of this challenge is to create chic-it dress for Alicia Cuthbert,
16:27who wants something classic and tailored and flattering and innovative.
16:32Okay, I need to work.
16:34Oh, that's super cool.
16:37Super cool.
16:39I hope it doesn't look too messy, though.
16:41Looks pretty clean right now.
16:43I'm just going to rush it into the seams.
16:46What are you doing now?
16:48Sorry?
16:49What are you doing now?
16:50Hand ruching down the middle.
16:52It's nice.
16:53I wasn't trying to be a bitch, I'm just like, trip me out.
16:56I wouldn't steal anyone's designs.
16:58Cool.
16:59I wouldn't.
17:02That's cool.
17:12How's it hanging?
17:13Good, how are you?
17:14Good.
17:15Gouda, gouda, gouda cheese.
17:19All right, now let's attach you to your homeboys in the back.
17:30I could totally see my dress on, Alicia.
17:33I could totally see someone being like, oh my God, I love it.
17:36Where'd you get it?
17:37And be like, oh, it's Jessica Biffey.
17:38And I'd be like, oh yeah, represent.
17:41That's tight, yo.
17:42Tight.
17:43It's cute, though.
17:44I think she's really going to like it.
17:46Oh.
17:47Snap, son.
17:48Who's on fire today?
17:49It's me.
17:50Somebody woke up this morning and was like, let's do this.
17:56I can't flip those fast like you.
18:01You're insane.
18:02You've got to teach me that.
18:04I'm serious.
18:05Okay, I will.
18:06Baylor's strong at sewing and he's fast.
18:11He does a lot of things that I don't do.
18:15Hi, everybody.
18:16Hi, everyone.
18:17I know you all miss me terribly, so I came back to see how it was going tonight.
18:21Margarita, I just saw this sitting here, and I love looking.
18:25That looks really modern.
18:26It looks like really textured.
18:27It looks gorgeous.
18:28But what's going to happen to this when she puts it on, and is it going to lump out like
18:32that?
18:33No, because...
18:34It's going to be tight.
18:35Yeah, it's going to be tight, so it'll be flattened more.
18:38Yeah.
18:39Yeah.
18:40Okay, cool.
18:41You have a gorgeous looking dress.
18:42Build it really, really beautifully.
18:44Yeah.
18:45Because what you're building usually takes about eight days.
18:48Bye.
18:49Okay, bye.
18:53Okay, Brandon.
18:54Help me.
18:55That looks pretty beautiful.
18:56It's a huge mess.
18:57It's a huge mess.
18:58I'm not sure about this tractor tear going over here, but...
19:02I obviously need to make it longer.
19:04I thought there was something more going on in there.
19:06No, I haven't quite figured out the bottom yet.
19:10At that point, I had no freaking clue what I was doing.
19:14It was way too short, and I had no idea how to fix that, so I was really upset and very
19:18worried about elimination.
19:19All right, well, I have lots of work to do.
19:21So, Christy.
19:22So, she told me that her favorite color was blue and that she liked Empire Waste.
19:26Yeah.
19:27And so, what I decided to do was create a simple dress, and then all of this is going
19:32to be biased roses with little jewels in them.
19:36Is that what you're doing?
19:37Yeah, like that, and then adding some sparkle in there to accentuate her face.
19:43You're adding these flowers, which are really, maybe really tough on you.
19:48I don't want to be, but I have to be right now at this stage.
19:51It is, in my eye, a bad bridesmaid.
19:56So, you think I need to make a whole new dress?
19:59No.
20:00Your body is great.
20:01Don't get offended because it's not personal.
20:03I'm not talking about you.
20:04I'm talking about the dress.
20:05No, I realize that.
20:06No, I realize that.
20:07Okay.
20:08So, your design detail has to snap it up.
20:18No, it just looks like s***.
20:19No!
20:20It looks like a grandma dress, for f*** sake.
20:23No.
20:24You've got great shape.
20:25Make every ounce of energy you've got count.
20:28Okay?
20:34I just want to go home now, before I embarrass myself again.
20:38I'm just gonna fail.
20:40I really thought that my idea was good, and then once he showed it to him, I just felt
20:44really bad, and like, got scared.
20:47I got bad bridesmaid.
20:49I think the pressure's too much for me, man.
20:51Don't, don't.
20:52You're not a quitter, Jake.
20:54You can do it.
20:55I've never made such s*** crappy clothes in my life.
20:57You have until midnight tonight.
21:03I'll see you in the morning.
21:04This is great.
21:05Yeah, that looks good.
21:06Yeah.
21:07Awesome.
21:08I wanted to do the whole thing, but I don't think I'm gonna have time.
21:17Sewing my dress is just a little crazy right now, because I sewed the facing on, flipped
21:23around, and it was like all wrong.
21:26S***.
21:27S***.
21:28Not only did the fabric kind of stretch out, and I have to take it in quite a bit, but I
21:33don't know if I'm gonna have time.
21:35It looks better now that it's pressed.
21:38Oh, bridesmaid.
21:40I'm just in, in trauma.
21:42Bad bridesmaid is like a bad scene, man.
21:45If someone says that to you, it's, you gotta change your ways, man.
21:49But I'd actually done other drawings where the flowers were on the bottom of the dress.
21:54So, I kind of was like, oh yeah, I had already drawn those drawings.
21:57What do you think?
21:58Yeah, it looks awesome.
21:59Are you serious?
22:00Yeah.
22:01Don't f***ing lie to me.
22:04Next, on Project Runway Canada.
22:07This is all wrong.
22:10Her fit was ridiculously horrible.
22:13S***.
22:14Brandon kind of did a whack dress.
22:16If the model isn't dressed, you're toast.
22:35Yeah.
22:36Cool.
22:37Good morning.
22:40I feel really confident where the dress is at right now.
22:43Doing a high-end dress for someone like Alicia, I feel like it's made for me.
22:48It's challenges like made for me.
22:50My pattern fits this Judy perfect, and this is all wrong.
22:55Like, if you take my pattern, it fits it perfectly.
22:59You know what I'm saying?
23:01Like, this is all the right shape, so it has to be put together properly.
23:04I don't know what happened exactly.
23:06It stretched out when you sewed it, dude.
23:08I'm telling ya.
23:09S***.
23:10When you sewed it, it stretched out.
23:12She was trying to do this design detail, but she did it with stretch, and I think when she sewed it, it made the garment a lot bigger, and stretch can be a nightmare.
23:20Good morning.
23:22Good morning, guys.
23:23You're gonna have two hours to send your models down to see Eddie and Eric in the L'Oreal Paris beauty room.
23:33Do not forget to use the winner's accessory wall.
23:36You have everything that you could possibly want to create your final look.
23:40I'm sending the models in.
23:43So let's go.
23:44There's the models.
23:46Girls.
23:47Look at you, Mr. Smithy.
23:49I figured this was like easy on, easy off.
23:52It's no longer looking like a bridesmaid.
23:55Thank frickin' God, man.
23:57And you know what?
23:58I like what I'm seeing.
23:59It needs a little more pressing.
24:01You need to take time to do that.
24:02Okay.
24:03Alright?
24:04I'm trying not to be scared anymore and just work through my fear.
24:07Very big.
24:08I should have just left it the size I had it.
24:12Why did this always happen to me?
24:15I don't know what happened.
24:17I went from like thinking I was gonna be all ahead and get everything done to I don't have any pieces together.
24:23It doesn't fit the model.
24:24It's like really frickin' annoying.
24:33I have it here.
24:36I like it.
24:37I'm not too sure if I like it.
24:40I think it's frickin' cute.
24:43It's way too short.
24:47He kind of did a whack dress.
24:49It was really short.
24:50I was like, oh, I don't know about this, you know?
24:53It didn't seem right.
24:55And he knew it too.
24:57Like he was totally like, oh, I don't know what's gonna happen with this dress.
25:03Okay.
25:04How are you doing with her, Sunshine?
25:06Not too bad?
25:07Not too bad, Margarita?
25:08Yeah, dude.
25:09I just thought we'd have more time.
25:12As horrible as my dress was, hers was that much worse.
25:15Like her fit was ridiculously horrible.
25:18She spent a lot of time on her detailing.
25:20So that played against her actually finishing the garment properly and making the fit work.
25:26Bonjour.
25:27Bonjour.
25:28Sorry about your dress.
25:29Yes.
25:30It's evolving because I just have moments left.
25:31Just like a bustier.
25:32Exactly.
25:33Okay.
25:34We're gonna give her hair a lot of texture.
25:35And it's just all going back.
25:36Very, very soft, very soft.
25:37And then we'll just mount all the curls at the back here.
25:39And shine, lots of shine.
25:40We'll finish it up with the architect wax.
25:41That's gorgeous.
25:42You know that?
25:43Sexy.
25:44Still sewing as you can tell.
25:45A little needle in her.
25:46I think it will go with almost the same color on the eyes.
25:48Something like sheer.
25:49Same color but sheer.
25:50Yeah.
25:51Yeah.
25:52Yeah.
25:53Yeah.
25:54Yeah.
25:55Yeah.
25:56Yeah.
25:57Yeah.
25:58Yeah.
25:59Yeah.
26:00Yeah.
26:01Yeah.
26:02Yeah.
26:03Yeah.
26:04Yeah.
26:05Yeah.
26:06Yeah.
26:07Yeah.
26:08Yeah.
26:09Yeah.
26:10Yeah.
26:11Yeah.
26:12Yeah.
26:13Yeah.
26:14Yeah.
26:15I was thinking of doing some curls a little bit higher up.
26:17Yeah.
26:18So almost like she looks like she has a full part of.
26:20Yeah.
26:21Perfect.
26:22We'll put one white pearl and one blue like that.
26:25And one very soft, beautiful gloss on the lips.
26:30Perfect.
26:32I love it.
26:33What the f**k am I supposed to do with the back of the dress?
26:42I literally had no dress.
26:48All the raw edges, all the raw seams, the whole sides were all messed up.
26:52I just folded it over and sewed it down.
26:54It really was not my best work.
26:58I've ironed this like 20 times, it's still not f**king good enough.
27:00I'm very nervous.
27:04I know at this point there's nothing I can do.
27:06My dress is about to go down the runway.
27:09It is a competition and I screwed up.
27:13Designers, you have five minutes.
27:15The model needs to be dressed and ready for the runway.
27:17You need to move.
27:24Kim, you need a dress on a model.
27:27I know, I know. I'm going to get here in one minute.
27:29If the model isn't dressed, you're toast.
27:33Okay.
27:35Gabrielle, take the shoes and come with me right now, okay?
27:42Tools down.
27:44It's time for the runway.
27:46Let's go.
27:48Not even another pin.
27:51Five, four, three.
27:57To the runway.
27:58No way.
27:58Next, on Project Runway Canada.
28:08This is a paparazzi attack waiting to happen.
28:11There's so much about this I really, really like.
28:14No more whole trends.
28:15Hello again, designers.
28:27Your challenge was to create a glam outfit for Hollywood it girl, Alicia Cuthbert.
28:35First, Bustle Clothing Creative Director, Sean Hewson.
28:43Next, Editor-in-Chief from Elle Canada, Rita Selvin.
28:47And, of course, your muse, Alicia Cuthbert.
28:52Now, let's start the show.
28:54My model busts out onto the runway and she looks fly.
29:03I kind of feel like people didn't realize I could bust that out.
29:10It's a little nerve-wracking seeing your outfit come down the runway because you don't know what it's going to look like.
29:24Every little wrinkle just shows on the runway.
29:29Every little wrinkle just shows on the runway.
29:31My dress had an applique that was sort of dimensional on top to create the shattered glass hook.
29:44When she got to the end, I was actually quite happy with the way it came up.
29:57It was everything I expected.
29:58It was totally stunning and gorgeous.
30:00Sewing was perfect.
30:05It was flowing and moving.
30:07I thought it was breathtaking.
30:14I knew that there was problems with the dress.
30:18I didn't get to finish the hem.
30:22I was hoping that judges would just analyze the whole situation and realize the work I'd put into the detail.
30:32The dress to me is like the Jackie O, Audrey Hepburn, Hollywood classic.
30:38When she worked it, it looked fabulous.
30:55When my model came out, I was just thinking, oh yeah, this fabric's a little bit shiny.
31:00I still liked my design.
31:02It was different from everybody else's.
31:05Not amazing, not terrible.
31:08I honestly have no idea how my dress came together.
31:13One minute it was in pieces and somehow I put a dress together.
31:17And it looked actually really cute on the runway, which was ridiculous because I didn't have a dress five minutes before.
31:27I always look at Rita when my stuff's on the runway because she's tough.
31:32I felt like my dress was maybe simple compared to the rest.
31:36But I was really trying to show them that I could listen.
31:44For Alicia's dress, I'm using very nice, deep red silk because sometimes drama is the element that will distinguish your dress from others.
31:55I'm really not pleased with how the dress looks.
32:03I knew it was way too short and she was showing way too much leg.
32:08I'm very nervous.
32:10It's not a good dress.
32:11It's not a good dress.
32:12It's not a good dress.
32:25Or just a good dress.
32:25Step forward. Jessica. Kim. Baylor. Jean-Vierre. Christy. You did not win this challenge. But you didn't lose either.
32:55You're all safe for now. You may leave the runway. Thank you.
33:08The rest of you have the highest and the lowest of the scores. Let's bring out your models.
33:17As a jacket, you have immunity, but we still have questions. Tell me about your outfit.
33:32Well, I decided to create a new age, glamorous Hollywood outfit for Alicia. I wanted to create something that could help her stand out, not be a wallflower.
33:42Rita, what do you think? You mentioned that this is a dress that would stand out. It would be photographed, but it would end up in those paparazzi pages. What was she thinking?
33:51I decided to just take a chance because... Because you have immunity and you're taking advantage of it.
33:56I wanted to see how far I could push it. Okay, hold on. Just because you have immunity, you really should not have taken a risk on Alicia.
34:05It's not really right of you to do that. Sonny. Having hung out with Alicia, she spoke about structure and color that would bring out her eyes.
34:18I think it's beautifully made. When it came down the runway, I thought, wow, that's ready to wear.
34:24Sonny, when I saw this dress come down the runway, I immediately thought of Alicia, actually. I thought, this is a dress that would look so wonderful on her.
34:34I love the little starburst detailing. It's very subtle, but it's very pretty.
34:41Jeff.
34:42In meeting with Alicia, I realized that we seem to be very much on the same page. She liked the classics with a little bit of an edge and fit, which is something I would be a stickler for.
34:52How do you feel about the fit? Since you mentioned fit, how do you feel about the fit in particular through the bodice?
34:57In order to do the dress the way I wanted to do it, I had to sort of construct the entire thing, leaving very little room for alteration.
35:04Seeing it come down the runway felt a little sad, almost.
35:08It is messy, as you're trying to make it edgy with all that falling off. It looks like somebody who started drunk to start with, and half of your straps are already falling off.
35:19Jason.
35:20I want to go for an open back detail, because I think it's really classy. The dress is an easy just pullover dress. And it's raw silk, high quality, like the Muse.
35:29When I came down the runway, I was very impressed. It's built beautifully, very regal in the front. There's so much about this I really, really like.
35:41I think this is fashionable, I think it's well executed, and I think it's great for Alicia.
35:45I think you had a eureka moment, from what you showed me last time. This is fashion.
35:55Brandon, tell us about your design.
35:58Well, I got to meet Alicia, she has the most killer personality ever, so I figured I'd make her a fun flirty dress, that she'd stand out.
36:06I remember at the mansion you asked me, are you looking to pick up anybody, if you're going out, and I think this would definitely scream, I'm looking for someone.
36:16This is like a paparazzi attack waiting to happen.
36:19I mean, it just, it looks like a figure skating outfit to me. You have to listen to your client.
36:24I did, but I, I didn't make a mistake and make it too, I made it too short.
36:28But why did you make it too short? I just want to understand that.
36:33I'm going to move on. Margarita, tell us about your outfit.
36:37The whole idea behind it is Canadian actress goes and makes it in big city LA.
36:44I really tried to look at you and get a sense of your style.
36:47The slit was adventurous.
36:49There was a huge problem with the fabric. It has a little bit of stretch in it.
36:53It's puckering at the back. I don't love the front. Alicia, I hope you wouldn't wear this.
37:02Thank you, designers. You can leave the runway while we decide who just doesn't measure up.
37:08Okay, judges, bring it on at the jacket.
37:18I think it was a mess. The top with the rags in the layers and then the tin foil kind of skirt.
37:24But she's got immunity, right? So...
37:26Yeah. Well, that's the problem. She's using it.
37:28She's taking advantage of that.
37:33Jeff. I just cringed when he said I really like to focus on fit.
37:38I can't imagine how you could possibly wear a dress like that.
37:41It's very poorly constructed and very kind of sad.
37:44Jason. I thought when I saw that dress, you know what they say about once you go black, you never go back.
37:56I thought that was a cute black dress. What did you think, Alicia?
37:58Out of all the little black dresses that I do have, that one would have been different.
38:03That's something I would definitely wear. Definitely.
38:05Sunny. It's kind of a no-brainer, you know, red carpet dress for a semi-casual kind of event.
38:14Because he kept the silhouette simple. That was the key.
38:17Exactly. I could put it on and be ready to go. I would wear that dress.
38:23Margarita.
38:24It was just very unpleasant to look at it. It was very cheap and not attractive, not sophisticated,
38:30not something that you or, in fact, anybody should be wearing.
38:34There's a movement in classing it up. Right.
38:37You know, no more whole dress. No.
38:40No more whole trends. No.
38:42Nobody wants to look like that anymore.
38:47Brandon, Frida, you've always have something to say. You're speechless.
38:53This has rendered you finally speechless.
38:56Wow. Nothing.
38:58Honestly, I saw it come out and I was trying so hard to keep it together. I mean, I'm so far off.
39:07Not a lot of things makes me wins.
39:09Okay, we have our decision.
39:13Yep.
39:14Let's bring them back in.
39:19The winner of today's challenge will have immunity.
39:24But the person who has failed will be out.
39:27As you know, sometimes in fashion, you just don't measure up.
39:45Let's start with the winner of this challenge.
39:48Congratulations.
39:51Congratulations.
39:55Jason.
39:57Thank you very much. Thank you.
40:00You said it yourself.
40:01That is a high quality dress for a high quality girl.
40:08A great, great improvement from the last challenge.
40:13Congratulations.
40:14And you can leave the runway.
40:21Winning that just validated everything I'm doing and everything I believe in and passionate about.
40:25So I feel really great just moving forward as a designer and getting the opportunity to work with Alicia now.
40:30It's fantastic.
40:31Sunny.
40:38Sunny.
40:39Your dress was a success.
40:43You're safe.
40:45Thanks.
40:51Another jacket.
40:53You may leave the runway.
40:54Okay. Thank you.
40:55Jeff.
40:56Jeff.
41:04You're still in.
41:06You can leave the runway.
41:16Now it's down to you two.
41:20Brandon.
41:22Colorful, yes.
41:23Colorful, yes. Trendy, maybe. Fashion, no. You either didn't listen to what she wanted or you just didn't care. Margarita. Now what a disaster that was. No one should wear that dress. Let alone Alicia Cuthbert.
41:53You'll get another chance. Thank you so much. You can leave the runway. Margarita, I'm sorry but you just didn't measure up. Pleasure meeting everyone.
42:16Stop.
42:17Stop.
42:18Stop.
42:28Aw, you're the best girl.
42:31Meeting all these amazing other people in the industry is such an amazing experience. I learned a lot even about myself.
42:39Give me a hug.
42:40Thanks for your help.
42:41Pleasure.
42:42Okay.
42:43And now you have to clean out your workspace.
42:44Okay, I love you guys.
42:45Bye.
42:46Bye.
42:47I don't plan to stop after this.
42:50There's always things coming at you in this industry and you have to be quick to react and not let the stress get to you and I know that I'm already good at that.
42:57Bye.
42:58Bye.
42:59Bye.
43:00Bye.
43:01Bye.
43:02Bye.
43:03Bye.
