00:27found a loaded black pistol, 8 packets of cocaine and 8 packets of cannabis.
00:33A 40-year-old man and 45-year-old woman were arrested in North Central Division.
00:39Officers conducted an operation which unearthed a black revolver with 6 rounds of .38 ammunition
00:46in a Hyundai Matrix.
00:47A 35-year-old chauvinist man was arrested on multiple charges.
00:52Officers of the Northern Division, acting on information, found a shotgun wrapped in
00:57blue trousers inside a rusty barrel in a forested area near the Arena Dam.
01:02During a mobile patrol along Main Street Beetham Gardens, an officer discovered cannabis in
01:08a blue Nissan Almera and arrested the driver.
01:11Central Division officers stopped a white Nissan vehicle along Carapo Valley-Brazo Road
01:16and found 435 grams of cannabis.
01:20Both male occupants were arrested and charged.
01:23And over in Tobago, officers during a drug block operation in the Back Hill Wim District
01:30found a .25 caliber firearm and one magazine in a bushy area.
01:37A prison's officer who has been detained by police in relation to a robbery was charged
01:43today for having his firearm in the jail cell without his FUL certificate and appeared before
01:49a San Fernando magistrate.
01:51Police say the officer had his personal firearm in his waist for several days while in police
01:56custody and was later charged with failing to have his FUL certificate in his possession.
02:02Investigators say that the prison's officer was held with another prison's officer and
02:07a civilian last Monday in the Southern Division pertinent to robbery offenses.
02:13Police say during the last four days, the prison's officer was detained at a Monrepo
02:18and Marabella police stations.
02:20It was only yesterday he allegedly told police that he had his loaded licensed pistol on
02:25his person.
02:26After the weapon was seized, the prison's officer could not produce his FUL certificate.
02:31Police contacted a relative to bring the FUL certificate to the station, but a relative
02:37did not show up.
02:38The officer's relatives later hired an attorney who began making inquiries about his client's
02:44detention.
02:45The officer was remanded into custody until November 29th and given bail with charity
02:50of $30,000.
02:52He was also ordered to report to the Tunapuna Police Station on the 15th of every month.
02:57The firearm was sent for further analysis.
03:02Swift Justice was served for one elderly gentleman following a robbery on Chacon Street in Port
03:08of Spain.
03:09He was pushed over near a bank by a man who grabbed an envelope from him containing $30,000.
03:15Off-duty policeman Duane Grimes, who was in the vicinity when the incident happened, chased
03:21after the thief and intercepted him near the lighthouse.
03:24A struggle ensued, however, Officer Grimes was able to subdue the thief and retrieve
03:29the envelope of cash.
03:34A new Selfie Spots project has been launched by the Division of Tourism.
03:39It is designed to enhance visitor experience and promote Tobago as a top-tier tourism destination.
