00:00The Police Complaints Authority has launched an investigation into the two
00:04collapsed court cases of police misbehaviour in public office over the
00:08last three days. The PCA said 12 officers were reportedly discharged because the
00:13rules of the court procedures were not followed and there was no prosecution
00:17witnesses and evidence was not produced by the police to the court. The PCA said
00:22this follows several referrals for discipline and repeated pieces of advice
00:27by the PCA to the Commissioner Police over the last 13 years. The PCA said
00:32these investigations refer to matters where police complainants fail to attend
00:36court, fail to comply with the court's directives and fail to comply with their
00:41own standing orders.
