00:18On Tuesday, officers intercepted a vehicle during a high-speed chase that ended in Santa Cruz.
00:23The suspect reportedly abandoned the car and fled on foot after driving through Saddle Road and plunging into a nearby river.
00:31A search of the abandoned vehicle uncovered three bales containing 90 bricks of marijuana, with an estimated street value of $5.45 million.
00:40Later that night, police acted on intelligence, discovered another stash of drugs and a loaded weapon.
00:45A search of a bin on First Street, Sawa, yielded over one kilogram of marijuana.
00:50Further investigation led officers to an open lot off Mosses Avenue, where a Glock .22 pistol, a magazine and seven rounds of ammunition were recovered hidden inside a white T-shoot.
01:02Two secondary school students from Laramene were arrested by police officers stationed outside of the school after they were found with marijuana on the school grounds.
01:11Reports said the officers searched the 14-year-old male student and the 15-year-old female student after they were seen acting suspiciously.
01:22The officers found 2.7 grams of marijuana hidden in the male student's groin area and 4.1 grams in the female student's backpack.
01:31The principal was informed and their parents were contacted.
01:34They were arrested and charged with the possession of a dangerous drug in a school where children were present for the purpose of education.
01:43They were given bail by a justice of the peace and are expected to pay in court on October 27, 2025.
