One man has been arrested following a police search.. in which drugs and camouflage clothing were recovered.
Meanwhile, two other operations led to the discovery of a gun, ammunition and cannabis.

00:00On Saturday between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. police carried out state of emergency
00:04operations which included a search of a bushy area along Pitch Road in Mova.
00:09A black plastic bag was discovered containing a rectangular brick of
00:13compressed cannabis which weighed 483.3 grams with an estimated street value of
00:20$14,499. The search was done with assistance from the canine unit.
00:28On Friday around 1 p.m. police searched an abandoned lot and structure at the
00:33corner of Smith Hill and Western Main Road Caranage. There they found an AR platform
00:39rifle along with 10 rounds of 5.56 ammunition. The items were seized but no arrests were made.
00:46Inquiries are continuing in relation to the find.
00:50And also on Friday between 4 p.m. and 10 p.m. police searched a house at Belmont Terrace
00:56where they recovered 271 grams of cannabis, a camouflage patterned pants and jacket,
01:03and a black ski mask. A 30-year-old man was detained during the search in connection with
01:08an ongoing investigation into a shooting incident and an outstanding warrant.
01:14The operation involved police activity in several other areas including Partially Street,
01:20Beetham Gardens, Rudolph Charles Link Road and Mova Old Road. Alicia Boucher TV6 News.
