00:00 Well, I'm afraid what you want may be a bit out of your reach.
00:03 Here's a look at the Hasbro Indiana Jones Adventure Series Build an Artifact Dr. Elsa Snyder.
00:25 Indiana Jones races against the forces of evil to find the Holy Grail and keep it from falling into the wrong hands.
00:31 Kids and collectors alike can imagine the action and adventure of Indiana Jones with figures from the Indiana Jones Adventure Series.
00:37 Just before Dr. Elsa Snyder takes a bit of a fall, we're going to go ahead and grab the tape measure and see how tall the figure stands.
00:45 We'll also as well bring in the earlier looked at Indiana Jones so you can see the difference between the two.
00:49 Obviously, I'm sure many of you will notice the difference between the two figures.
00:52 And we'll make one step closer to building the artifact table.
00:56 Of course, before we do all of that, let's grab the tape measure and see how tall the figure stands.
01:00 Snyder stands about five and a half inches in height, or the figure is going to be about 14 centimeters tall.
01:06 As I bring in the Indiana Jones, what we looked at earlier from building this artifact wave, I feel I owe the figure a little bit of an apology.
01:13 I still don't like the fedora, no.
01:15 But I do think that the head sculpt isn't maybe as bad as I made it out to be in the review.
01:19 It's not a bad looking likeness to Indiana Jones.
01:22 I think maybe one of the things that always goes with these figures is you could have a good looking head sculpt, but if it's painted a little off.
01:27 And maybe that's the thing that threw me off a little bit was the way they painted the figure's face.
01:31 It's not again a bad looking head sculpt and bearing a likeness to Harrison Ford.
01:34 Now, I did want to bring in here, there's Helena Shaw.
01:38 The reason why I did want to bring her in also as well is considering there are Dial of Destiny figures part of this wave, which are no real place I feel in this wave at all.
01:46 But you know when you are cooking and you want to add temperature like hot water liquid to like eggs, you know, you have to slowly add the liquid.
01:54 If not, you'll curdle the eggs.
01:56 I want to do something similar here with Helena Shaw before, of course, we look at the rest of the figures.
02:00 Dial of Destiny.
02:01 I did also want to temper.
02:03 Is that what they sell?
02:04 They temper the water temperature.
02:05 So, of course, it's not going to curdle the eggs.
02:07 Using that as a comparison, as an analogy here for Helena Shaw, you can see that the figure of Helena is about the same size as Elsa Snyder here.
02:16 Curdling the eggs.
02:18 On to though the artifact pieces.
02:20 Now, in fact, what we get here with Snyder is pretty much the same stuff that we already got with Indiana Jones.
02:25 So you get two planters pots, just nothing really planted inside of it just yet.
02:29 They seem to be identical.
02:30 So I would imagine you'd have that.
02:32 Well, I don't think it really matters which side that you necessarily have.
02:34 I say that now.
02:37 I'm sure there is a specific way that you have to have these placed.
02:39 And like with Indiana Jones, you also get the top part to that.
02:41 You also get this part.
02:43 Not really even sure again how these things all come together.
02:46 I would imagine it kind of goes similar to this and you're going to push everything down.
02:49 And then the table is probably going to snap into the tops of these and tops, of course, of Indiana Jones's.
02:54 And it's basically just me, the tabletop running across that.
02:57 That is what I'm thinking it's going to be on paper.
02:59 That may very well change that when we get the tabletop.
03:01 So I'm just going to kind of put things aside as they are right now.
03:05 Not really fully committing at all to the idea of assembling those.
03:08 The other things that she comes included with as well is goggles.
03:11 A pair of goggles.
03:13 And you can see that they are using sort of a tinted, you can kind of see like an orange plastic on the inside of that.
03:19 And they outline the frames nicely in silver.
03:21 They don't necessarily fit on her existing head as it is right now.
03:25 But what you have to do instead is you have to pop the head off the neck.
03:28 And then you basically like the goggles around her neck area.
03:31 Which I guess we can kind of do right now.
03:33 The thing about her though is the same problem I had really with Helena Shaw.
03:36 She's got an extremely long neck.
03:38 Much longer I feel than the figure really needed.
03:41 But you're going to hold on to the neck and you're basically just going to twist the head off.
03:44 The reasoning why I'm actually holding on to the neck is the neck is always prone to popping off also as well.
03:48 We just take the goggles and we'll put them down on her neck.
03:50 And then we simply just take the head and snap it on top of that.
03:55 The figure also, I'm going to come back to that in a second, don't worry, don't worry.
03:59 The figure also comes included with the poor choice chalice.
04:02 This is the one that she's actually trying to reach off to the far side.
04:05 Sort of off on a little neighboring cliff.
04:07 And then she, well, I don't want to give it away to anybody who hasn't watched Last Crusade.
04:11 I would imagine by now everyone's seen the Last Crusade.
04:13 It's a really interesting looking cup.
04:15 I mean I would be for the idea of actually grabbing this one.
04:18 But you have to remember this is supposed to be the cup of Christ.
04:20 Would Jesus be all for like a heavily jeweled up cup?
04:23 I don't know. Probably not.
04:25 It's been cast nicely and sort of really rich looking gold coloring.
04:28 And some additional stonage of green.
04:31 Stonage? Some additional stones have been painted in green.
04:34 Really nice looking cup though.
04:36 Resist the temptation to get the glitzy looking cup.
04:39 You want to go with the one that, you know, again looks like it was handmade.
04:42 I'm going to put that to the side.
04:43 And then the figure also comes included with this alternate head sculpt.
04:46 I feel in both this case and the alternate head or the head that we're starting with over here.
04:51 I feel in both of the cases the head sculpt is sculpted to make a little older of an actor than what it actually is.
04:58 Does Hasbro forget how old this character is supposed to be in the movie?
05:01 Because if I'm looking at it just from this face alone.
05:04 First of all I don't think it really looks a lot like her.
05:06 But I feel it also makes her look a lot older than she's supposed to be in the movie.
05:10 Looking at this it kind of looks like an old older actress Laura Dern.
05:14 I mean Laura Dern's already old as it is right now.
05:16 But a slightly older Laura Dern.
05:18 Changing out the heads by the way.
05:21 I mean picking up the two heads so you can see the difference between the two.
05:23 This is sort of when she's part of the military and this is kind of like more near the end where she's kind of reaching for the cup.
05:27 I would much really rather prefer to have her displayed with this head sculpt myself.
05:31 But I feel also as well if she's going to be reaching for the cup.
05:34 I probably would have given her a little bit more of an expression than just this neutral face that she has right now.
05:39 Changing out the heads.
05:41 Once again we're going to go back to the neck.
05:42 Just hold on to the neck.
05:44 We're going to pop the head off.
05:45 And the reasoning why I keep again holding on to that is especially if I did want to change out the head.
05:49 I don't want to have to worry that the whole entire neck.
05:51 I mean look how long this neck is.
05:52 I don't have to worry that the neck's going to be going along with the head.
05:54 I'm just going to pop then the new head in place.
05:56 There we go.
05:58 It's definitely a lot easier to snap this one in place.
06:00 But again to look at the two head sculpts.
06:03 Don't they just look a little older than they really needed to be?
06:06 Does Hasbro just forget how old this actress actually is in the movie?
06:09 I do think like the hair adds a lot more appeal to the figure's head sculpt than just simply the hat.
06:15 The cap that she has over top of her head.
06:16 But I don't think again it looks at all like the actress at all.
06:19 Now for the rest of the figure's body she has sort of like a poofier sleeved shirt.
06:23 And then she's got the longer pants from there.
06:25 She sort of has the same problem that Helen of Shaw had.
06:28 Unfortunately that does mean I have to bring the figure back in.
06:31 That they have very tiny feet.
06:33 In fact looking at them they almost look like they're identical feet.
06:36 Wait.
06:37 Wait a minute.
06:38 They are identical feet.
06:39 You can see that they have sort of the suggestion of laces on the tops of them.
06:43 They are in fact using the exact same feet between the two figures.
06:46 Fancy that.
06:47 The lower end of the legs.
06:49 Like the boots are a little bit different.
06:51 So there's that.
06:52 So they're not using exactly the same molds of legs.
06:54 Nor are they actually using the top halves either.
06:56 But while they are using completely different pants.
06:59 Just notice now that they're actually using the exact same feet.
07:01 But along with that obviously it goes with the fact that the figure's feet being as small as they are.
07:06 She has a real hard time I've noticed to stand properly.
07:09 Of course now she's standing perfectly fine.
07:11 The figure does also have black gloves.
07:13 Which is actually nicely painted in the way that they've actually made them shinier.
07:17 Than the more otherwise matte black that she has for the rest of her pants.
07:21 It's a pretty nicely painted figure for really what it is.
07:24 I just feel like the head sculpt under delivers.
07:26 And this time around unlike the Harrison Ford Indiana Jones that we looked at in the earlier review.
07:29 Where I kind of feel like I have to correct myself and say.
07:31 Not a bad looking Indiana Jones.
07:33 I still don't think this looks at all like the actress at all in the movie.
07:36 For the figure's articulation.
07:38 Her head's going to be on a ball joint.
07:39 It rotates all the way around.
07:40 And it looks up and it looks down.
07:42 But in addition to that if you go all the way down to the bottom of her giraffe neck.
07:45 She also has the additional articulation there as well.
07:47 Seriously, seriously why did we have to make the neck as long?
07:50 The neck could have been just about right there.
07:52 But they made it excessively long.
07:55 Was it to accommodate this actress?
07:57 Or was it to accommodate Helena Shaw?
08:00 One of them unfortunately had to then make the neck longer.
08:04 And it then draws more attention to the fact that this figure's neck is a lot longer than it really needs to be.
08:09 Anyways though the figure does have an upper torso ball joint.
08:12 So yeah you can rotate it all the way around.
08:14 The figure's arms do rotate also all the way around.
08:16 They're on pin and hinge joints by the way.
08:18 So you can also bring those arms outward at 90 degrees.
08:21 She has a bend at the elbow.
08:22 Which also allows the forearms to rotate all the way around.
08:24 Bring those arms down here for a second.
08:26 Hands do rotate all the way around as well.
08:29 They seem to be also on hinge joints too.
08:31 So you can kind of see there's a bend right there in the hinge.
08:34 The legs do split out.
08:35 They're on ball joints.
08:36 Awkwardly though they sort of split.
08:39 Just because again she's got so much upper waist area here.
08:42 That when you then bring the legs out.
08:44 They don't really bend out completely straight.
08:46 But you can bring the legs forward.
08:48 You can bring them back.
08:49 There's a mild swivel at the top of the thigh.
08:51 Single hinge in the knee.
08:52 That allows of course the lower leg to rotate back and forth.
08:55 And then her ankle moves up and down.
08:57 And back and forth this way as well.
08:58 For only the sheer idea of just actually just bringing in.
09:03 Just to show the similar build of body.
09:05 Once again I'm going to bring back in Helena Shaw.
09:08 Because of course we've got a temper.
09:09 Don't want curdled eggs at all.
09:11 But again we're just bringing back in Helena Shaw here.
09:13 Using again the same feet and the same problems.
09:16 To go along with those feet.
09:17 To figure out how to have a real harder time to stand.
09:19 And once again we'll bring back in Indiana Jones.
09:21 We've now got two figures in.
09:23 Two figures in.
09:24 And what progress does somebody behind the scenes ask.
09:26 How much progress have we actually made.
09:28 We've made little to no progress.
09:29 We still only have the planters pots.
09:31 That will of course be changing as we progress our way through.
09:34 The arc build a figure wave.
09:36 Or the build an artifact last crusade table.
09:39 That's going to of course have all the little tiny cups on top of that as well.
09:42 The reasoning also why I did want to actually look at Elsa Schneider next.
09:46 Is simply because I'm trying to actually build these as I'm doing the review.
09:50 If I wanted to jump right away to say for example the father.
09:54 If I wanted to look at Indy's senior for example.
09:56 It would have made actually no sense whatsoever.
09:58 Because of course he comes with just the tiny little cups.
10:01 Yeah there he goes.
10:02 Comes with the tiny little cups.
10:03 And I would have been able to do nothing with them.
10:05 Until I actually built myself the table.
10:07 You know what I'm just going to move Helen Shaw out of the way.
10:09 So far we've got two figures in.
10:11 No progress whatsoever when it comes to build an artifact.
10:14 I still think the Indy is not as bad as maybe what I made out to be in his review.
10:18 I just don't like the fedora at all.
10:20 But I gotta say like Dr. Elsa Schneider.
10:23 While it is a nice included figure.
10:25 Especially one that actually is in The Last Crusade.
10:27 I feel like the head sculpt is not the greatest though.
10:30 Whether you decide to go with this head sculpt.
10:32 Or the one that she starts with when you first get her out of the packaging.
10:35 Of course you know me.
10:37 I had to look online.
10:38 And actually Dr. Elsa Schneider was played by Irish actress Alison Doody.
10:44 Doody.
10:45 She's 57 as it is right now.
10:47 The Last Crusade came out in 1989.
10:49 And if I'm doing my math correctly.
10:51 Then that would have meant that Alison was 23 when she did The Last Crusade.
10:55 23, 24.
10:56 Certainly not the way they've sculpted the face sculpt here.
10:59 Because I feel like it comes across like an actress that's in probably like in her mid or late 30s.
11:04 Even borderline 40s.
11:06 I feel like other than maybe the head sculpt aging her a little bit more than she really needed to be.
11:10 I don't think it at all bears a likeness to Alison Doody or Dr. Elsa Schneider from the movie.
11:15 That being said though.
11:16 The rest of the figure is okay.
11:17 If you can overlook the fact that she has a very long neck.
11:20 I also happen to just check out Alison Doody's neck.
11:23 Her neck's not that long either.
11:24 I've got the figure displayed right now with a poorly chosen chalice.
11:27 One of the only accessories that really come included with the figure.
11:30 That and the alternate head sculpt and the goggles.
11:32 I guess she really didn't necessarily need a whole lot of things to come included with.
11:35 But it is actually one other cup that we can add then to the table.
11:38 When we eventually.
11:39 I don't even know when this thing's going to happen.
11:41 When we eventually build the artifact.
11:43 It's a nice little looking figure.
11:44 I just.
11:45 It's a little underwhelming.
11:46 Underwhelming I would say.
11:47 When it comes to the head sculpt.
11:48 But the rest of the figure.
11:50 Certainly if you did want to get yourself a Snyder to go on display.
11:52 With the last crusade.
11:53 At the very least you could say.
11:54 At least she belongs in this wave.
11:56 Like some of the figures that we're going to be looking at upcoming reviews.
11:59 But what do you guys think of the figure?
12:00 Let me know down below in the comments section.
12:02 Also as well.

12:12 Turning on the bell notification.
12:13 We of course will be continuing our journey.
12:15 Until we eventually build the entire table.
12:18 And along with that.
12:19 Of course all the cups and the artifacts.
12:20 Are going to sit on top of the table from there.
12:22 Of course as always guys.
12:23 Thanks for watching.
12:24 See you guys next time.
