00:00:00You
00:00:18Billy MacNeil
00:00:30Celtic are the champions!
00:00:54Martin O'Neill and the Celtic team, 42 cup time winners.
00:00:58And they've made the journey down to East Ayrshire and this time it is Rugby Park in Kilmarnock.
00:01:04It could have been Beachwood and Auchinleck but it is the home of Premiership side Kilmarnock.
00:01:11As they get ready to face Auchinleck Talbot in what is known to be a memorable Scottish Cup occasion for the home side today.
00:01:21Rugby Park away, Celtic used to playing here.
00:01:25It is Auchinleck Talbot versus Celtic.
00:01:28It's live on Celtic TV if you're watching overseas live audio commentary for those listening in the UK and Ireland.
00:01:36I'm Daylon Docherty, I'm being joined by Scottish Cup winner himself, Simon Donnelly back in 1995 against Airdrie.
00:01:45Not many times, Simon, would you have ever come up against an opposition like Auchinleck Talbot I imagine in your heyday?
00:01:51No, but funnily enough, less than two months after I arrived at Celtic, we went down to Beachwood Park that you mentioned there, Daylon, and we played an Auchinleck team.
00:02:00We were invited down, it was a Celtic reserve team went down and played, or a younger team, and we played and it was Sam McCulloch's testimonial.
00:02:07So I played on Beachwood and I think they beat us.
00:02:10They did indeed, 3-2 it was to Auchinleck back in that occasion, the first competitive meeting between the two sides.
00:02:17Listen, Celtic, it is an opportunity for them, Simon, they have to be professional, get the job done, get in to the next round against an opposition that this will be the greatest moment in their history.
00:02:28even going against Celtic, never mind what the result will be.
00:02:31It will be, of course it will be, and that's the romance of the cup, Daylon.
00:02:35But as you say, from Celtic's point of view, professionalism is key, and be in the heart for the next round.
00:02:41Obviously you're on a hiding to nothing in these type of games, you just have to get it done.
00:02:46And the supporters will demand goals as well, so hopefully the 11 that start the game can produce, and as I say, time up within the next round.
00:02:57Well, that takes me quite nicely on, Simon, to the starting 11 that Martin O'Neill has picked, of course.
00:03:04For those viewing overseas, you will see the graphic on your screen.
00:03:08I will run through it for those that are listening in the UK and Ireland.
00:03:11It's Viljami Sinasalo in goals, Anthony Ralston, Dane Murray, Stephen Welsh making his return to the Celtic starting 11.
00:03:19Colby Donovan, it's an all Celtic Academy back four, and keeping in line with that Celtic Academy feel.
00:03:25It's captain Callum McGregor, the only person to keep his name on the team from Wednesday night's win at Fulker.
00:03:32He's partnered in midfield with Paulo Bernardo, Luke McEwen, James Forrest, Michel Ange Balik, Lucia, and Johnny Kenny.
00:03:39And on the bench, it is Kasper Schmeichel, William Scales, Benjamin Negrin, Yang, Shin, Sebastian Tenekte, Tyson Maeda, Rio Hattati, and 16-year-old Joseph Haney.
00:03:50Simon, give us your thoughts to that Celtic starting 11 and subs.
00:03:54Yeah, well, of course, it's a complete change out with the skipper from the other evening.
00:03:59And what it does do is gives opportunities to players, none more so than the likes of Balikwisha,
00:04:05who hasn't seen a lot of game time since he came to the club, gives you opportunities to catch the manager's eye.
00:04:10They've obviously got a job to do alongside that.
00:04:13But yeah, just state your claim for a position in this team and it's opportunities everywhere, really.
00:04:19Absolutely, Simon. Well, you've gave us your thoughts on it.
00:04:22Let's hear the thoughts and the views from the man making his return to the Scottish Cup for the first time since the Scottish Cup final in 2005,
00:04:31where his Celtic team came out triumphant. And it's Martin O'Neill speaking with Matthew Campbell.
00:04:38Martin, Scottish Cup action for us this evening. How much are you looking forward to this one?
00:04:43Well, I am looking forward to the game, of course. Scottish Cup means an awful lot to me
00:04:47and means a lot to Celtic supporters as well too.
00:04:50Is it a strange game to prepare for in as far as, you know, maybe there's not as much information or footage
00:04:57or an opportunity to go and, you know, study a team like Auchan Lake Talbot before it?
00:05:00No, no, no. We've seen plenty of footage. That's the great advantage of the modern day is that you can get footage.
00:05:06Way back in yesteryear, you might have had a struggle with it, but no.
00:05:10We've seen enough here to know that this side are very, very capable of causing an upset.
00:05:14It's a bit of a strange one in terms of the fact that it's a neutral venue rather than being at Auchan Lake Talbot Stadium.
00:05:19But nevertheless, you see the big crowd that they're going to bring today, they'll have belief.
00:05:22So, from your point of view, how key is it a quick start to kind of take that belief away and not let it grow?
00:05:27Well, no, no. You're dead right. We have got to start strongly in the game and we have to maintain it as well too.
00:05:32There's no point in playing a game for 10 or 15 minutes.
00:05:35We've made a number of changes to the side. That in itself might, in normal circumstances, present a problem to you.
00:05:42But we've had to do this here at this minute, although the captain stays in the side.
00:05:46Well, the final question was regarding the team line-up. Like you say, a whole raft of changes.
00:05:52For as much as it's an opportunity for the boys coming in to make an impression, is this also a nice opportunity for you to have a chance to assess some of these players and see them?
00:06:00Of course. I mean, that is definitely part of it. But, you know, the main thing is to try and win the game.
00:06:05You don't want to be the victims of a major upset in the competition. So, yeah, it's a twofold thing as much as anything else.
00:06:13The most important thing is for us to get through and the second thing is for me to look at some players.
00:06:17Absolutely. Well, best of luck this afternoon.
00:06:19Thanks very much, man.
00:06:21Martin O'Neill speaking with Matthew Campbell there. He brings up a really good point there, Simon.
00:06:26I mean, he's talking about just getting into the next round of the Scottish Cup and being professional.
00:06:33But it's also that just making sure that they're not on the other end of what would probably be the greatest Scottish Cup shock of all time if all can let Talbot pull off the unthinkable.
00:06:42Yeah, 100%. And nobody wants to be part of that. So that is the unthinkable, as you say there, Dylan.
00:06:49No, professionalism. I see Celtic going through here, but it's by how many and it's how they approach the game.
00:06:55And as he also touched on the manager there as well, catching the eye.
00:06:59You know, there's players there that haven't had a lot of game time, certainly under this manager.
00:07:03And there's important games around the corner. So can somebody go out there and press?
00:07:07Well, walking like Talbot, Simon, they haven't had a game since the 20th of December.
00:07:11A 5-3 win against Drum Chapel. United have been frozen out almost from action due to the weather.
00:07:18This is our first game since, but Celtic were in action on Wednesday night.
00:07:22A win against Falkert. Let's see how they arrive into the game after that win at the Falkert Stadium. Here it is.
00:07:38Out it goes to Yang.
00:07:40And Alho.
00:07:44Now Trusty.
00:07:46Scales.
00:07:48High ball into the box, Maeda. Oh, it's a good effort from Dyson Maeda.
00:07:52Good cross in from Scales, thumbs up from his teammate there, but the looping head up, not really going to trouble Scott Bane.
00:07:58No, but it's a great pick out.
00:08:05Yang once again, trying to be the one that wins it back, but Hallcup have the ball inside the Celtic box. It's a real chance, it's a great chance.
00:08:14And somehow, it stays out of Celtic's goal.
00:08:19It's a lovely ball played forward to Kyrell Wilson. He got past Tierney, seemed to get past Michael and it was just an open goal.
00:08:27But Celtic somehow managed to clear the danger.
00:08:29So, Engels to take.
00:08:35And it comes.
00:08:37Decent ball and it balls in the back of the net.
00:08:40Celtic have the opening goal.
00:08:43It is a godsend.
00:08:44And it's a godsend from Sweden.
00:08:46Benjamin Negrin
00:08:48nods that one down.
00:08:50Into an empty net from the Engels corner and Celtic have a precious lead.
00:08:55Yeah, and he pops up again.
00:08:58We just say it's a perfect time to get a goal just before half time.
00:09:02It's deep.
00:09:03To the back post.
00:09:05It's that man Negrin again.
00:09:07Two defenders on him, I just wonder if he came off a defender, but Negrin did so well.
00:09:17And it comes from the Swede. It's a decent ball.
00:09:20Oh, Celtic somehow can't get it into the net.
00:09:22Another chance there for Scales.
00:09:25And it's prodded home.
00:09:26But the referee has spotted something.
00:09:27The flag is up in this near side.
00:09:29It won't count.
00:09:34Well, it was a great ball at the beginning.
00:09:35I thought it was in the back of the net.
00:09:37Is it Mayed at the back post?
00:09:38Yeah.
00:09:39Who then might be caught offside on the way out.
00:09:41Interesting here.
00:09:42He's onside here.
00:09:44Yeah, but he's...
00:09:45Yeah, he comes back out.
00:09:46Now he does come back out from an offside position.
00:09:48So, fair do's.
00:09:49So, inside the final ten minutes.
00:09:54At the Falkirk Stadium.
00:09:55Falkirk 0, Celtic 1.
00:09:57But Falkirk on the attack.
00:09:58Ball played inside.
00:09:59Araljo should get there first and find.
00:10:01McCown.
00:10:03Back it goes to Trusty.
00:10:04He's immediately under pressure.
00:10:06And he's lost it there.
00:10:07Spencer inside looking for Parkinson.
00:10:10Chance in there.
00:10:11Another chance.
00:10:12Great save from Schmeichel.
00:10:13But Celtic can't get it clear.
00:10:15But...
00:10:17They will now with Negrin.
00:10:19Wow.
00:10:20Just a...
00:10:22Collection of errors there and deflections.
00:10:25And Schmeichel's pulled off a fantastic stop.
00:10:30Yeah, it's a crucial save from Schmeichel.
00:10:32But Celtic just couldn't get it clear.
00:10:33It starts with this.
00:10:34Pass back to Trusty.
00:10:36He gets caught on it.
00:10:43A big save from Kasper Schmeichel.
00:10:45Secured the three points for Celtic at the Falkirk Stadium.
00:10:48On Wednesday night.
00:10:49It doesn't matter at this point in the league, Simon.
00:10:51How you get it done.
00:10:52You've done commentary for the game.
00:10:53What was your thoughts on the performance and how you've taken it in since?
00:10:58It was a difficult evening.
00:11:00The plastic pitch through at Falkirk.
00:11:01And we only have to look to their result at Tyncastle last night.
00:11:04You know, they're a decent outfit at Falkirk.
00:11:05They're having a really good season.
00:11:08And I don't think Celtic were at their best.
00:11:10But as you say, they come away with the three points.
00:11:12And it was an important three points on the night.
00:11:14Yeah, it was a big, big victory for Falkirk.
00:11:16Knocking out Hearts in the Scottish Cup.
00:11:18I bet you, a bit secretly, Hearts might be a bit pleased about that.
00:11:21And they can put their focus all into the league title race, I imagine, Simon.
00:11:26I don't know.
00:11:27I don't know.
00:11:28I think Derek McInnes will maybe use that after the game.
00:11:31But I think when you're in the Cup, you want to stay in the Cup.
00:11:33They're having a good season themselves, obviously, leading the Premiership.
00:11:36And they would have wanted to keep the momentum going.
00:11:38That's a little bit of a blow for them.
00:11:40But it just shows, you know, there's no easy games.
00:11:42Celtic went through midweek to Falkirk.
00:11:45Had to pick the three points up and did so.
00:11:47The shots around the stadium.
00:11:49The Celtic fans in attendance.
00:11:51The Auchinleck Talbot fans as well.
00:11:53Beechwood Park only holds 3,000 in capacity.
00:11:57So, Kilmarnock, it's a bit of a spiritual home for them, Simon.
00:12:01A bit of a home away from home.
00:12:02It's been the site of a few Scottish Junior Cup wins for Auchinleck.
00:12:07So, it's particularly a warm place in the hearts of those Auchinleck Talbot fans.
00:12:13But this will be an unbelievable occasion.
00:12:15They say the biggest thing to happen in Auchinleck was the Who playing in 1969 in the Auchinleck Community Centre.
00:12:22That was a warm up for Woodstock back in the day.
00:12:26And now, this might just be right up there with it going up against the Scottish champions.
00:12:31The most successful club in Scotland, Celtic.
00:12:33Yeah, before my time.
00:12:34And I have to let you into a little secret.
00:12:36It's the town.
00:12:37I know it really well.
00:12:38My family are from here.
00:12:39My dad was born and bred in Auchinleck.
00:12:41So, I know the place well.
00:12:43And I've been at Junior Cup finals to watch at Rugby Park.
00:12:46But, hopefully this afternoon, or this evening rather, it'll be Celtic rather than Auchinleck Talbot
00:12:53getting into the next round.
00:12:54I have to say that.
00:12:55Yeah, O'Callum McGregor just leads Celtic out of the tightest tunnel in Scottish football.
00:12:59And Neil McPherson leads Auchinleck Talbot.
00:13:02Great pride for him.
00:13:03A veteran of Auchinleck.
00:13:05This will be a great moment to those supporters.
00:13:08The black and yellow stripes of Auchinleck Talbot up against the green and white hoops of Celtic.
00:13:15It's the biggest weird club, as they call themselves down in Auchinleck.
00:13:19Yeah, yeah.
00:13:20Up against the most successful club in Scotland, Celtic.
00:13:2342 times Scottish Cup winners in their quest to be the team that lifts the Scottish Cup at the end of May.
00:13:30This time around starts tonight here at Rugby Park.
00:13:34And Karl McGregor just shaking the hands of the players.
00:13:37It's a mixed dressing room I've heard down at Auchinleck.
00:13:40There's some Celtic fans in there, some Rangers fans as well.
00:13:43Tommy Sloan was talking about this in an interview recently.
00:13:47Some of the Celtic fans in that Auchinleck side, Simon.
00:13:50They'll be absolutely delighted at the thought of going up against their boyhood team.
00:13:55Yeah, listen, they will be.
00:13:56Both sides, regardless of who they support outwith Auchinleck Talbot.
00:14:00But they'll have their own pride here as well.
00:14:02They've got fans down on a cross rather than their numbers from Auchinleck.
00:14:07And, you know, it's probably the biggest game in their history.
00:14:10Oh, absolutely is, yeah.
00:14:11The biggest game for these players.
00:14:13So, they want to equip themselves well.
00:14:15But, you know, on a professional level, Celtic are there to get the job done.
00:14:19Well, the biggest shock probably in Scottish Cup history is another one that happened not too far from Rugby Park.
00:14:25Darvill versus Aberdeen a few years ago.
00:14:27Yeah, a few years ago.
00:14:28William Scales was part of that set-off.
00:14:30He's on the bench.
00:14:31But there is a Celtic player that has tasted defeat to Auchinleck Talbot.
00:14:35And that is Luke McCown, Simon.
00:14:37Back in 2019, his Air United team crashed out of the Scottish Cup at Beechwood Park.
00:14:42So, there is some experience.
00:14:45Sort of revenge for Luke White.
00:14:46Absolutely.
00:14:47There is some experience of that Celtic side in there.
00:14:50Going up against Auchinleck Talbot.
00:14:52But, Martin O'Neill shaking hands with Tommy Sloan.
00:14:55He's been in charge at Auchinleck since 2003.
00:14:59The year Celtic went all the way to Seville.
00:15:01A remarkable longevity that you just don't get at the senior level of the game, Simon.
00:15:06It's incredible. I knew he'd been there a length of time.
00:15:08I didn't realise that length of time.
00:15:10Incredible.
00:15:11And he's had real success in that time as well.
00:15:15A forklift driver.
00:15:17Yeah, a fantastic evening for him as well.
00:15:19Now, I'm sure Callum McGregor will be reiterating the message on that.
00:15:23Celtic Huddle.
00:15:24It's all about getting into the next round.
00:15:27Whether it's Auchinleck Talbot.
00:15:28Whether it's, you know, Aberdeen or Hearts or St Mirren in the Cup Final.
00:15:33It shouldn't really matter in terms of the mentality shift, Simon.
00:15:36No, it shouldn't because we're at a difficult stage, you know.
00:15:39We find ourselves chasing in the Premiership.
00:15:41And we lost out in the final of this tournament last year.
00:15:44Which the boys will want to get to the final and reclaim the trophy.
00:15:49But it starts here.
00:15:50Well, Ross Hardy, the referee, just about to get things underway.
00:15:53He was on VAR the other night at the Falkirk Stadium.
00:15:56So, back-to-back Celtic games for him.
00:16:00And McAvoy just about to get his underway.
00:16:03And Auchinleck Talbot takes centre.
00:16:06And the ball goes straight up in the air.
00:16:09And they get an early throw in.
00:16:12And they'll be hoping to just try and unsteady Celtic.
00:16:16Probably Celtic's familiarity with the ground will really help, Simon.
00:16:20Yeah, I think so.
00:16:21In the romance of the Cup, you know, I would have liked to have seen Celtic
00:16:25going down to Beechwood to play this.
00:16:27But, you know, financially for the likes of Talbot, it's beneficial to play here.
00:16:31But yeah, I think this will suit these conditions.
00:16:34Although it's a plastic pitch, it's a familiar environment for Celtic.
00:16:38Oh, Martin O'Neill looking on.
00:16:4121 years ago, he bowed out of the Celtic management at the Scottish Cup final.
00:16:48He's done Dundee United Alan Thompson's 11th minute goal.
00:16:52Secured the cup.
00:16:54And the farewell for Martin O'Neill.
00:16:58And he's back in the Celtic hot seat.
00:17:01Heels Baloch-Lusha plays it back to Stephen Welsh.
00:17:04Appearing for the first time for Celtic since September 2024.
00:17:09But, you know, he's back in the green and white hoop, Simon.
00:17:13He's been having an excellent season at Firth Park.
00:17:15Yeah, he's been performing really well and attractive to watch Motherwell side.
00:17:21Obviously, needs must and Martin's deemed it important to get him back to the club at the moment.
00:17:28Yeah, absolutely, Celtic with an early free kick in the Auchinleck half.
00:17:32As they build out from the back.
00:17:34Dan Murray out to McEwen who looks like he's on the right hand side of midfield.
00:17:40As Baloch-Wisher seems to be going more centrally.
00:17:42Ball just goes all the way through to Wally Muir in the goal for Auchinleck.
00:17:46Yeah, I think it's a goal that Martin's put Luke McEwen in before.
00:17:51I think it's fine odd, if I'm not mistaken, on that right hand side.
00:17:55And I think Forrest on the left and as you say it, Baloch-Wisher, more central.
00:18:01As Sinasalo with an early touch.
00:18:04He's in for Kasper Schmeichel.
00:18:06And cup games earlier this season in the Premier Sports Cup.
00:18:10Donovan just stretches on.
00:18:12And the Ayrshire boy himself to another one.
00:18:14Here's James Forrest.
00:18:15Gets the ball into the box and it's over the bar.
00:18:19And that will be just exactly what Auchinleck will want in the early stages.
00:18:25How important is it, Simon, that Talbot don't concede early?
00:18:29Because that would be a nightmare for Tommy Sloan.
00:18:31It would be.
00:18:32It would be.
00:18:33They'll try and stay in the game as long as possible.
00:18:35It might prove to be difficult.
00:18:37Time will tell.
00:18:38But he'll be relieved with that one.
00:18:40James Forrest just got it wrong.
00:18:42Thought he could have maybe rolled it down the side for Donovan and kept his run going.
00:18:46And headed on again by McEvoy.
00:18:50Scored two goals in the previous round against Dumbarton.
00:18:53A 4-0 away from home win for Auchinleck Talbot.
00:18:56And more remarkably, it was an Ayrshire Derby in the first round.
00:18:59Well, they dispatched of their fierce, fierce rivals, Cumnock Juniors.
00:19:04In quite a topsy-turby game it was, Simon.
00:19:07Yeah, I can imagine that.
00:19:08Topsy-turby.
00:19:09Yeah.
00:19:10Eventful, I would imagine, down there.
00:19:12Murray just plays the ball onto McEwen again on the right-hand side of midfield.
00:19:17He's driving forward, trying to enter the box and that should be the first corner kick for Celtic.
00:19:23Well defended by the Auchinleck Talbot defence.
00:19:25Yeah, but positive play from Luke McCowan.
00:19:28Two balls are on the pitch.
00:19:31Celtic will have to go back and retake the corner kick.
00:19:36Paolo Bernardo, his first start since the defeat at Motherwell, just prior to New Year.
00:19:49Stands over the corner kick.
00:19:52The Portuguese swings the ball in.
00:19:58Here's a chance for Celtic.
00:19:59Headed away, well defended.
00:20:01Donovan keeps it alive.
00:20:02Brings it back to Bernardo.
00:20:05It's cleared away by Schoenville.
00:20:08Ralfston, 150th appearance for the Celt.
00:20:1814 trophies in that time.
00:20:25McCowan, plays it in looking for Kenny.
00:20:29It's well defended again.
00:20:31It will come back, this is what Auchinleck will have a real test of their fitness here, chasing the ball.
00:20:37Forrest.
00:20:44To Welsh.
00:20:47Murray rolls it out and you can see the run of Ralston but it's well cut out and it had to be cut out there Simon.
00:20:52Yeah, he's just trying to play it first time into Ralston Hood.
00:20:55Take off a decent position.
00:20:57But yeah, it's just important we keep moving the ball quickly.
00:21:00Trying to probe, trying to penetrate.
00:21:02A lot of players, if not well, all of them behind the ball at the moment from Talbot.
00:21:06Well from Saucy's inside rugby park, Auchinleck officially we're going as a 4-3-3.
00:21:10When I seen that I was like, surely not.
00:21:12It will probably be more of a 5-5 at times.
00:21:15Yeah, well good intentions but I think more often than not, teams like Celtic force you back into a situation where we have everybody behind the ball.
00:21:24Welsh with a probing pass.
00:21:26Here it is Stephen Welsh.
00:21:30Looks to switch the play.
00:21:32It's a good peel off the back from McEwen.
00:21:33It's into the box!
00:21:34It's Kenny and it's well saved by Willie Muir.
00:21:36The flag's up on the far side.
00:21:39And a big chance here for Johnny Kenny.
00:21:42Didn't know he was offside but it's a great save from Willie Muir.
00:21:45Yeah, it's a really good save and it's a good move.
00:21:47I think it's Welsh.
00:21:48Tries to pick out McEwen.
00:21:50That's very tight.
00:21:51Very tight.
00:21:52Yeah, it was actually McEwen that was offside.
00:21:56Kenny obviously the ball played back.
00:21:59Heads it back into the path.
00:22:00It's a good save from the keeper.
00:22:02I think that was a tight decision on the far side.
00:22:05Well, VAR is in effect as a premiership ground on the television.
00:22:09So, there will be VAR if that goal had counted or that shot had been in the net Simon then they would have had to draw the lines.
00:22:20Yeah and I think it would have been a really tight decision there.
00:22:23A good save from Willie Muir, the former Aberdeen Motherwell youth player.
00:22:29also had some time in Celtic's academy as well.
00:22:34Back in 2012 here's Balacuisha.
00:22:36Operating more centrally.
00:22:37Gets a good ball into the box.
00:22:39Locking like that but just have to stay alive.
00:22:41McGregor with the shot.
00:22:43Or Ralston it was rather.
00:22:45With a left-footed shot.
00:22:47It's good running from the middle from Balacuisha.
00:22:50He's found by Forrest and he just puts an inviting cross in.
00:22:55That just evades all the Celtic players in the box here.
00:22:58Comes out to Ralston.
00:23:00Just can't get the shot on target.
00:23:02Decent movement from Balacuisha.
00:23:04Oh, Martin O'Neill.
00:23:05I'm sure he'll be quite happy with.
00:23:07No, obviously not get an early goal so to speak as of yet but Celtic will definitely approach this with the right attitude Simon.
00:23:15Yeah, it's been all kind of one-way traffic really so far.
00:23:20And I think that will be the pattern of the game.
00:23:22Absolutely.
00:23:23Comes out for another throw.
00:23:24Celtic quick to get the ball back in play.
00:23:28Tommy Sloan.
00:23:29Tommy Sloan.
00:23:30On the sidelines in his day job.
00:23:32He is a forklift driver.
00:23:33On a new build estate.
00:23:37An absolute legend for Auchinleck Talbot.
00:23:40Five times he's won the Scottish Junior Cup.
00:23:43And just due to the games in hand at the minute, they're sitting five points behind Troon.
00:23:49Three games that they've got to play.
00:23:52Here's Forrest.
00:23:53Cuts inside.
00:23:54Pings the ball into the box.
00:23:56It's well defended again.
00:23:57Welsh.
00:23:58Here's Ralston.
00:24:00McEwen.
00:24:01The Celtic so high up the pitch.
00:24:02Lots of the ball.
00:24:03McEwen.
00:24:04Feeds it into Kenny.
00:24:05Can Bernard will keep it alive?
00:24:06He does.
00:24:07Ralston brings the ball into the box.
00:24:08It's another cross.
00:24:09It's well defended.
00:24:10Welsh out to Donovan.
00:24:11Donovan.
00:24:12we're off to Donovan operating in the left back position.
00:24:13Forest look to get away from his man.
00:24:14And Donovan with the late challenge in there.
00:24:15You could hear the show.
00:24:16Can he have to play up the pitch.
00:24:17Not exactly it.
00:24:18The draw.
00:24:19It has to play up the pitch.
00:24:20Lots of the pitch.
00:24:21Lots of the ball.
00:24:22McEwen.
00:24:23Feeds it into Kenny.
00:24:24Can Bernard will keep it alive?
00:24:25He does.
00:24:26Ralphston.
00:24:27Brings the ball into the box.
00:24:28It's another cross.
00:24:29It's well defended.
00:24:30Welsh out to Donovan.
00:24:31Donovan operating in the left back position.
00:24:33Warrust look to get away from his man.
00:24:36Donovan with the late challenge in there.
00:24:39Can hear the shout from here, and Ross Hardy, I'm sure he won't get his book out yet Simon but just a
00:24:47a mistimed challenge from the Celtic youngster. Yeah, if anything he just stands his ground.
00:24:53As we see it again here, pushes it by and just not sure of what he's meant to do there. It is a free kick but he can't really get out of the way.
00:25:03And Ross Clarke, it was, pressing forward from the right back position. And the captain, McPherson, flows the ball forward.
00:25:12Looking like Talbot, it's a chance to get into the Celtic box but Murray hooks it clear.
00:25:19Here's Austin Syme. That's well won from Bernardo but Talbot have the ball back.
00:25:25Schoenville, they'll be looking to try and get it into the feet of their big striker Boyd but here's Celtic now and this is where
00:25:32Auchinleck really have to be careful. Here's Kenny. He's got McEwen with him. Here's McEwen. Look to find Forrest.
00:25:41And McPherson just plays it back to his goalkeeper who collects it, Wallymuir.
00:25:46And that's a danger for Auchinleck Talbot any time they do venture forward. If they get caught out, there's space here.
00:25:53So they taste the break in numbers. It's played into Luke McEwen here and you can see he's just trying to slot it into the path of
00:25:59James Forrest. It's well anticipated.
00:26:03Celtic back in possession.
00:26:06Donovan.
00:26:1114 time Scottish Cup junior level winners.
00:26:15Against the 42 time senior winners.
00:26:19Welsh.
00:26:23Welsh.
00:26:24For Ralson.
00:26:2510 minutes gone at Rugby Park.
00:26:34It really has been all Celtic in terms of possession.
00:26:39Just one clear cut chance.
00:26:40Just one clear cut chance.
00:26:41It was McEwen's header back to Kenny.
00:26:45But it was offside.
00:26:48But it was very tight. Here's Balakwisha.
00:26:51For Donovan. He looked to try and get back onto his right foot.
00:26:56Bernardo.
00:26:59Celtic really fluid in their positional movement.
00:27:01Welsh.
00:27:08Got room to go forward.
00:27:10Checks back to Donovan.
00:27:15McGregor.
00:27:17Pings evolve forward.
00:27:18Looking for the run of Forrest.
00:27:19It's well defended again.
00:27:21And.
00:27:22Auchin like Talbot have the free kick.
00:27:24And late foul from Paolo Bernardo.
00:27:26They just find that a little bit difficult to penetrate.
00:27:30Or can light.
00:27:31Decent shape.
00:27:32Lots of bodies in there.
00:27:33Very tight.
00:27:35I think it's important that they get the width and get it to the wide players.
00:27:40Keep saying it.
00:27:41You know when teams are banking in there.
00:27:43If they can get crosses in.
00:27:45Players going back towards their goal.
00:27:46Make them uncomfortable.
00:27:48I suppose Simon.
00:27:49Most people would expect Celtic just to be run away winners.
00:27:53But it doesn't always work out like that.
00:27:55At this.
00:27:56But you have to really break down.
00:27:58You know.
00:27:59Almost two banks of four.
00:28:00As you've said there.
00:28:01Sometimes it.
00:28:02It can't be.
00:28:03That easy.
00:28:04And straightforward.
00:28:05It's important not to get frustrated.
00:28:08And you always think as long as the game goes.
00:28:10Fitness might be.
00:28:11Because it's not easy to defend that.
00:28:13For 90 minutes as well.
00:28:16There's Ralston.
00:28:17Looking like the last time.
00:28:18They got to this.
00:28:19Stage in the cup.
00:28:20Back in.
00:28:212022.
00:28:22They.
00:28:23They faced.
00:28:24Hearts.
00:28:25At Beechwood.
00:28:26They lost 5-0 on that occasion.
00:28:28But.
00:28:29They've.
00:28:31Always really equipped themselves quite well.
00:28:34When they get.
00:28:35Up against a really senior opposition.
00:28:36As I said.
00:28:37Air United.
00:28:38Defeated back in 2019.
00:28:41That's a good ball.
00:28:42Here's Balikwisha.
00:28:43Looking for his first Celtic goal.
00:28:44Back to goal at the minute though.
00:28:47Congolese.
00:28:49McGregor.
00:28:51Welsh.
00:28:52Does well.
00:28:53Forrest.
00:28:54Celtic look to keep the attack going.
00:28:55Donovan gets the ball in.
00:28:57Shouts for a handball from Donovan.
00:28:59But it is a corner kick for now.
00:29:01Yeah it's nice play again.
00:29:02Just quick.
00:29:03Play.
00:29:04A willing runner.
00:29:05Playing it down the side.
00:29:06Forrest.
00:29:07Celtic go quick from the corner.
00:29:10McGregor.
00:29:12Bernardo.
00:29:14Celtic look to try and work it.
00:29:15Here's Bernardo.
00:29:16Gets on to the right foot.
00:29:18Donovan's in there.
00:29:19And it's hooked up into the sky.
00:29:22And also looking to win the header.
00:29:24Off Kyle McEvoy.
00:29:25Looks like he was.
00:29:27Roaming into that challenge.
00:29:28Kyle McEvoy.
00:29:31Well just before that.
00:29:32It was a nice little one too.
00:29:33And Bernardo gets in there.
00:29:34He wants to come round it on his right foot.
00:29:36To try and.
00:29:37Play it into traffic.
00:29:38Maybe best just.
00:29:40To get a shot away there.
00:29:43There's Forrest.
00:29:45Donovan.
00:29:48Dane Murray.
00:29:52McEwen.
00:29:53Checks on to the left foot.
00:29:56Welsh.
00:29:57Celtic so high.
00:29:58Pinning.
00:29:59Walking left.
00:30:00Talbot back.
00:30:01Here's Barclisher.
00:30:02Gets the ball into the box.
00:30:03It looks like a good delivery.
00:30:04It's headed clear by Schoenville.
00:30:11They're heading everything away at the minute.
00:30:12But here's Barclisher.
00:30:14Gets the ball into the box.
00:30:15It's again.
00:30:16Well defending.
00:30:17Just smother it out.
00:30:18And Willemure.
00:30:19Gets on to the ball.
00:30:20You can see Barclisher.
00:30:21Operating much more centrally than he probably has been in the Celtic jersey so far Simon.
00:30:27Yeah but he's picked up the ball there.
00:30:28Just on that left hand side a couple of times.
00:30:30The first cross is a good one.
00:30:32That one just gets blocked out.
00:30:37But yeah he's got a bit of freedom there just to roam.
00:30:39Try and pick up some areas to be effective for the team.
00:30:42Well the last time Celtic faced lower league opposition in the sense that outside the SPFL it was Ishko Bryd.
00:30:53And there was a 2-0 win in Airdre.
00:30:59And they are now playing their thread in the SPFL Ishko Bryd.
00:31:02There's Auchinleck there in the pyramid now so I'm sure one day they'll harbour dreams of getting up to the SPFL.
00:31:13But they are such a pride of the Scottish junior scene that some of their fans might feel quite conflicted about that Simon.
00:31:19Yeah they're just a real focal point in that junior set up.
00:31:24You talk about the Junior Cup wins I think they hold the record.
00:31:28And they are a team with huge stature at that level.
00:31:34Oh it's Hofty forward looking for.
00:31:36Barlac-Leishaw McPherson.
00:31:38Heads it on.
00:31:39McGregor.
00:31:40Here's Bernardo.
00:31:41Looks to try and get Forrest in play here.
00:31:43Forrest will pick up the ball.
00:31:44Left rooted cross.
00:31:45Looking for McEwen and it's headed away by Schoenville for a corner kick.
00:31:49The Celtic not letting up the intensity.
00:31:52Yeah I just think the success comes from width.
00:31:55You know get wide, get crosses in.
00:31:57It's the end of it.
00:31:59Can we fill the box?
00:32:00Can we get on the end of them?
00:32:01Another inviting one hung up to the back post there.
00:32:04Here's McGregor.
00:32:05Back to Bernardo.
00:32:07Celtic go short again.
00:32:08Barlac-Leishaw.
00:32:11McGregor with space to operate.
00:32:13It's Callum McGregor.
00:32:14The shot comes in.
00:32:15It's blocked.
00:32:18Scored in the fourth round last season.
00:32:20Callum McGregor against Kilmarnock.
00:32:23And Raul's, the head out of the ball.
00:32:25The play.
00:32:27The play.
00:32:28The play.
00:32:29Ralston will just go back to his goalkeeper.
00:32:31Oh Bernardo, it was.
00:32:33It's a really slack pass from Saino-Salo.
00:32:35It's healthy.
00:32:36Just need to make sure they're not being too overconfident here.
00:32:38here and that has played out here as Ralston. When you've got a bit of time on the ball it
00:32:49can create a bit of complacency I imagine Simon. I just think Sinisalo doesn't get enough decent
00:32:54contact on the first pass you know on that bouncy plastic pitch and he just kind of balled it into
00:33:00well shoot he's quite calm. And out here's James Forrest cuts inside operating off the left hand side
00:33:12Donovan another one just getting onto the right foot swings her in but there's nobody there that'll go all the way out for a goal kick
00:33:20Yeah not his best effort that one just too much on it just too keen to come back and play one in
00:33:27I still think working it a little bit into the way there is getting towards the byline crosses in from there more dangerous
00:33:37Tommy Sloan just giving instructions to his players
00:33:44He'll be happy though 18 minutes on the clock. I'm sure he'll be absolutely delighted Simon
00:33:49Doesn't look it there right now. No. Schoenville goes over the halfway line should be picked up by
00:33:55former area United player McEwen but it goes out for a throw
00:34:03And they'll just take their time here Talbot
00:34:06I must say it's quite odd to see rugby park in black and yellow unless it is like a junior cup final
00:34:15McGregor hooks it up headed on by McPherson goes out for another Celtic throw 18 minutes gone
00:34:27at rugby park
00:34:28Orton like Talbot now Celtic now Celtic bossing possession as we would have imagined
00:34:38Here's Forrest
00:34:40Gets past his man James Forrest he goes down
00:34:43And he gets a free kick
00:34:45In a dangerous area outside the box so a chance for Celtic to
00:34:48more deliver this into the danger area. Yeah Salir on the back just enough to nudge him
00:34:54to the floor this is a good area you can get a good delivery into the box from this free kick
00:35:04And the Portuguese pal Bernardo stands over the ball so it will be him to
00:35:09to deliver. It's one of those ones you almost think take the shot on there and somebody maybe get across the
00:35:17the flight of the ball going towards the keeper
00:35:20Yeah maybe even in between the goalkeeper and the defence it's Bernardo puts the ball in it's almost like
00:35:25that and it's going for a goal kick I think it might have been Donovan yeah it was that was in there
00:35:32It's a good ball in
00:35:34whips it towards goal Donovan just trying to get his head on it can't redirect it towards the goal
00:35:41Goal by Donovan he's from not far from Kilmarnock he's an Irvine native where Ochenlek were training on the beach on Friday
00:35:56Real old school methods are training Simon
00:36:00Yeah I did that once or twice in my my career down at the old Seamill
00:36:06Kenny looks to knock it on
00:36:08It's Ochenlek trying to get a bit of the ball it goes out
00:36:14Welsh will pick up the ball from the throw in
00:36:20Offs the ball looks for the runner Johnny Kenny looks to knock it down
00:36:23It's a late challenge from Bernardo but Ochenlek have advantage with Kyle McEvoy gets past Welsh
00:36:32Donovan's having to stick with the big strong striker but Celtic get the ball back
00:36:37Balak we shut
00:36:39Just seeing the strength and that I suppose that's what's so typical down at that level of football Simon is
00:36:44You might think it
00:36:46There's not maybe a great amount of ability but there's there's a lot of players with a lot of strength and
00:36:51And you know really difficult to duel with them at times
00:36:54Well he did well there
00:36:55He did really well and he showed a bit of everything because he put the ball one side of
00:36:59The man and went the other
00:37:02Referee did well to play advantage I think he was going to give a free kick initially
00:37:09There's Ralston
00:37:12For McEwen
00:37:13Cutting inside gets past Schoenville
00:37:16McEwen feeds it into Kenny
00:37:18Looks to get it back to McEwen
00:37:20It's so congested in the Ochenlek Talbot box
00:37:24Welsh plays it out for Forrest
00:37:27Gets it onto the left foot Forrest gets a ball into the box
00:37:30It's Schoenville that I think mate he'll get the last touch there
00:37:33I think Bernardo is in there as well
00:37:36I think that's a chance
00:37:38James Forrest does brilliantly
00:37:39This is what we're talking about getting to the pile and it's a great ball in
00:37:43Just think Bernardo has to go with a bit of aggression there
00:37:48It's a goal kick
00:37:49He has been challenged
00:37:51As we see this run again a couple of minutes before
00:37:53But I think any success Celtic get tonight
00:37:57Keep saying it with that width
00:37:59It's a great ball in from Forrest there
00:38:01I feel Bernardo should have done better
00:38:04Looks well won
00:38:05McPherson
00:38:07Pick this up
00:38:08Over 300 appearances for Ochenlek Talbot
00:38:12Neil McPherson
00:38:16Joined from Darvill 10 years ago
00:38:18Celtic throw
00:38:28Celtic throw once again
00:38:29Murray
00:38:34For Ralston
00:38:3622 minutes gone
00:38:39Still 0-0
00:38:40McEwen
00:38:41Cuts inside
00:38:43Looks to lay the ball through for Balak Lisha
00:38:45He just can't keep a hold of it
00:38:46Goes all the way through to the Ochenlek goalkeeper
00:38:49I think maybe one thing that Martin O'Neill probably would have expected by now Simon
00:39:01Is to have worked the goalkeeper a bit more
00:39:03Yeah I think that might be the
00:39:05The frustration that that hasn't happened
00:39:07Up until now
00:39:11Sinisawa gets the game
00:39:14Operated Ochenlek
00:39:16They're only getting the ball for a few seconds before
00:39:18It's turned over
00:39:20The Celtic have it again
00:39:22The central defenders
00:39:24Murray and Welsh
00:39:25They're almost operating the central midfielders
00:39:27Donovan does well
00:39:29Here's Forrest
00:39:30To stretch this defence
00:39:37McGregor
00:39:43Luke McEwen
00:39:45Cameron Ralston keep this in
00:39:46He does
00:39:47It's all the way through
00:39:48Here's Balak Lisha
00:39:52It's over the bar
00:39:53For the Congolese
00:39:54Just didn't get his head over it
00:39:56And that's probably
00:39:58Celtic's first big clear chance of the game Simon
00:40:00Yeah he just leans back
00:40:02He just leans back
00:40:03It's another good chance
00:40:08That and Bernardo
00:40:09We're talking about not working the keeper
00:40:10But we should have
00:40:11With those two chances
00:40:13Again good play
00:40:15Luke McEwen finding Ralston
00:40:17And they cut back
00:40:18And he just
00:40:20Leans back and lifts it
00:40:21Over the bar
00:40:22Big opportunity for Balak Lisha
00:40:24To get his
00:40:25His first Celtic goal
00:40:26I'm sure it's something that he's
00:40:29Really craving
00:40:30It's not even
00:40:32Sinasalo
00:40:33Out to Donovan
00:40:36McGregor
00:40:37Picks it up
00:40:39Seven times
00:40:40Winner of the Scottish Cup
00:40:42Cal McGregor
00:40:45James Forrest
00:40:46He's won it eight times
00:40:51And here he is
00:40:52Forrest
00:40:55He's crowded out
00:40:56McGregor looked to get there
00:40:57Welsh
00:40:58He'll just help him
00:40:59Celtic captain
00:41:01On the ball
00:41:04Murray takes his time
00:41:05Just looking for the options
00:41:06McGregor
00:41:07Clips the ball
00:41:09Look for the run of Forrest
00:41:11Hooked up by McEvoy
00:41:15It's just coming back
00:41:16To Auchinleck
00:41:17It's almost
00:41:18Attack versus defence
00:41:21Forrest
00:41:25Donovan
00:41:26For Welsh
00:41:31McGregor
00:41:32Is he going to have a look
00:41:34Goes
00:41:35Out wide to Forrest
00:41:38Very centrally
00:41:39At the minute for Celtic
00:41:46Murray
00:41:47It's McGregor
00:41:48Almost every single lock and leg player
00:41:54Behind the ball
00:41:58It's important that Celtic get them moving
00:42:00Yeah it's so congested in there
00:42:04Just moving the ball quickly
00:42:05Looking for any sort of area
00:42:07To move into
00:42:09Here's Welsh
00:42:10Balls cut down by Donovan
00:42:16And that'll go all the way through
00:42:18Past McEwen
00:42:19For a goal kick
00:42:20But
00:42:21Just going to have to try and work this Auchinleck defence a wee bit harder
00:42:24Yeah just similar to the cross you had earlier on
00:42:28Just too much on it too deep
00:42:33Definitely think the dangerous ones have came from nearer the byline
00:42:36Now Muir gets the ball back in play
00:42:49Towering header by Stephen Welsh
00:42:51And other Welsh fans were really disappointed that he's back
00:42:56In
00:42:58His parent club
00:42:59Colours
00:43:01There are 17 appearances
00:43:04At Firth Park under Jens Berthel-Askil's team
00:43:10He's done well there Forrest
00:43:12Just behind Balikwisha
00:43:13Austin Syme picks up the ball
00:43:16McEvoy has kind of got nowhere to go
00:43:18Clips it forward
00:43:19And Stephen Welsh really should take care of this
00:43:21He does
00:43:23He's back
00:43:24At the feet of Celtic
00:43:30Welsh just feeling his back a bit there
00:43:34Terrible
00:43:35Luck with injuries at Celtic
00:43:38Strong challenge on Forrest
00:43:40Goes for a throw
00:43:41Celtic going to just have to try and find the movement
00:43:50Here's Kenny
00:43:51And goes all the way back to Murray
00:43:58Of course Celtic
00:44:00Disappointingly lost out in penalties last season
00:44:04Against Aberdeen in the final
00:44:06Go
00:44:08Denied on my treble
00:44:14Welsh
00:44:18Murray back to McGregor
00:44:20Every
00:44:21Hawkenlech player
00:44:22Behind the ball
00:44:24It's almost like a 6-4
00:44:26Formation Simon
00:44:27Yeah it's not a training
00:44:28Possession
00:44:29As you said
00:44:30Attack via defence
00:44:32Welsh clips it for Balikwisha
00:44:33Welsh will pick that one up
00:44:38Welsh will pick that one up
00:44:40Goes inside
00:44:42For Murray
00:44:42For Murray
00:44:50Of course Celtic
00:44:51Make the trip to Italy
00:44:52Next
00:44:54In the Europa League
00:44:56Hawkenlech gets Thornleywood
00:44:58At Beachwood
00:44:59Next Saturday
00:45:00Good ball in by McEwen
00:45:01If it's all the way through
00:45:03Too close to the goalkeeper in the end
00:45:07And just not quite working for Celtic
00:45:08Is it Simon?
00:45:09No, no
00:45:10They're struggling to open anything up
00:45:11The two chances that came our way
00:45:14You know
00:45:14I felt they were wasted
00:45:16Balikwisha and Bernardo
00:45:19Out with that
00:45:19We've found it hard to
00:45:21Throb
00:45:21I still think those type of crosses
00:45:24Aren't as dangerous as
00:45:25Trying to get towards that
00:45:28Byline and cut things back
00:45:31But it's difficult
00:45:31There's so much traffic in there
00:45:41Martin O'Neill watching on
00:45:49Martin O'Neill watching on
00:45:50From the touchline
00:45:55McEvoy wins the free kick
00:45:58Tony Gelsay
00:46:00From Donovan
00:46:01And a chance here for Hawkenlech
00:46:02To throw the ball into the box
00:46:04It's one thing that they
00:46:06Probably should have been working on
00:46:07Simon
00:46:07This set pieces
00:46:09Yeah and I think this will be their opportunity
00:46:11Because
00:46:12I don't see within the game
00:46:13That they can build it as much to get
00:46:17Forward
00:46:17It's certainly been all one way traffic
00:46:19In this first half
00:46:20How well
00:46:20But this is a chance
00:46:26Ball comes in
00:46:29Bernardo just has to
00:46:30Make sure
00:46:31Coming all the way back
00:46:32Sinisalo punches it
00:46:33A chance there for Boyd
00:46:34At the back post
00:46:36And there is a free kick
00:46:39Late challenge on McEwen
00:46:42I can see the danger that
00:46:43Potentially might have caused there Simon
00:46:45Yeah this is
00:46:46Obviously Talbot
00:46:47Staying in the game
00:46:48Looking for
00:46:49This kind of opportunity
00:46:51And it was danger
00:46:53Let's go out for the corner
00:46:54There is a corner
00:46:56McEwen
00:46:57Complaining of
00:46:58A late challenge from Boyd
00:47:00But it goes for a corner kick
00:47:03Ball comes into the box
00:47:05It's loaded at the back post
00:47:06Sinisalo out
00:47:08Punching again
00:47:09Here's Austin Sein
00:47:10Looks to get the shot away
00:47:11It's almost his own man
00:47:12That's blocked the ball
00:47:16And it just shows
00:47:17The danger
00:47:18That Hawkenlech can
00:47:19Toes from that
00:47:20So Celtic really have to be careful
00:47:22Yeah I mean that is danger
00:47:25You know and they haven't been up the park in open play
00:47:29But if he can win fouls or a long throw
00:47:33It can cause Harbock in there
00:47:34I'm sure that's what
00:47:36Tommy Sloan
00:47:37And he said
00:47:38We're practicing down in Irvine Beach on Friday
00:47:41Set pieces
00:47:42Donovan
00:47:48Donovan just looks for options
00:47:49But like we shall tell them
00:47:50Just to run forward
00:47:51Kenny
00:47:52Here's Bernardo
00:47:54It's breaking down again for Celtic
00:47:56But here's McEwen
00:47:56Bernardo
00:47:59There's Ralston in the Hawkenlech-Talbot box
00:48:02He's got two jerseys around him
00:48:04Gets the ball in
00:48:05And it's cleared away
00:48:06Punted away
00:48:08By McPherson
00:48:09Welsh
00:48:13Stephen Welsh
00:48:19Again gets the ball through for Forrest
00:48:23Gets it back onto his right foot
00:48:25It's breaking down again
00:48:29All the way back to Welsh
00:48:31Here's Luke McEwen
00:48:38Driving at Chaunville
00:48:39McEwen
00:48:40Right footed cross
00:48:41Kenny's in there
00:48:43Johnny Kenny
00:48:46Gets the goal
00:48:4732 minutes on the clock
00:48:50A sixth goal of the season
00:48:53For him
00:48:54Another goal under Martin O'Neill
00:48:57And if there was any nerves
00:49:00That should calm them down
00:49:01A little bit Simon
00:49:02It should do
00:49:03But it's great play
00:49:03And it's play that we've spoke about
00:49:05From the kick off
00:49:07Getting to the byline
00:49:08Luke McEwen
00:49:09Brilliant
00:49:09Positive
00:49:10Gets into that area
00:49:11It takes a little deflection
00:49:13That cross
00:49:14But Johnny Kenny's at the front post
00:49:16The strikers
00:49:17Should be
00:49:18Getting in there
00:49:19It's a nice little finish
00:49:21But positive play
00:49:22Getting to the
00:49:23The byline
00:49:25Yeah a little deflection
00:49:27But it makes it so much more
00:49:28Difficult for
00:49:29Talbot to defend
00:49:31If they're going back that way
00:49:32And there's the little breaks you get
00:49:33And the strikers there
00:49:35To put it in
00:49:35Yeah just a little confusion
00:49:37In the O'Kanlec box
00:49:39Between the goalkeeper
00:49:40And defence
00:49:41And Johnny Kenny
00:49:42Was there
00:49:43To pounce on it
00:49:44And
00:49:46He's had a few misses recently
00:49:48Johnny
00:49:49But
00:49:49He'll just be glad
00:49:52To be back scoring goals Simon
00:49:54Yeah
00:49:55Listen
00:49:55Confidence is bred from scoring goals
00:49:58As a striker
00:49:59And he's
00:50:00As you say
00:50:01Missed a couple opportunities recently
00:50:03His confidence I think
00:50:04Has been
00:50:04A little bit low
00:50:05But that'll give him a boost
00:50:06And he's done well there
00:50:07They sniffed that out
00:50:08Deflection
00:50:09Good strikers
00:50:10Run about that
00:50:10Near post
00:50:11Gets his foot on it
00:50:13Directs it into the net
00:50:14Now O'Kanlec
00:50:17Want to try
00:50:18And pose
00:50:20Some sort of
00:50:23Response
00:50:25But she'll take quickly
00:50:25Back on the ball
00:50:26There's Welsh
00:50:28Murray
00:50:36Out to
00:50:38McEwen
00:50:39Cuts inside
00:50:41It's opening up for Luke McEwen
00:50:43Well over the bar
00:50:45Murray done well
00:50:50Earlier
00:50:51For the goal
00:50:52As I said
00:50:53There was a deflection
00:50:53In the cross
00:50:54But
00:50:54Yeah he just gets the shot wrong
00:50:57But I don't mind him
00:50:58Take the responsibility
00:50:59To come in the park
00:51:00We've seen him do it before
00:51:01He's got that quality
00:51:02In the air there
00:51:03O'Kanlec chance
00:51:04In the saddle
00:51:05Watch that scare there
00:51:06Just got a punch on it
00:51:08McEwen did think he
00:51:10Had been fouled
00:51:11But
00:51:11Yeah hopefully that will give
00:51:13Johnny Kenny
00:51:14Some
00:51:15Some confidence
00:51:16Some encouragement
00:51:17Just getting back
00:51:18In amongst the goals
00:51:19Donovan
00:51:25Back to McGregor
00:51:26Of course
00:51:33The draw
00:51:34For the last 16
00:51:35Of the Scottish Cup
00:51:36Takes place
00:51:38After this
00:51:39Game
00:51:39I'll let you know
00:51:41All
00:51:42Fall out
00:51:44On Celtic's
00:51:45Social media
00:51:46Channels
00:51:46Forrest as well
00:51:49Gets the ball
00:51:49Into the box
00:51:50McEwen
00:51:50Can he keep it alive
00:51:51He's hooked away
00:51:52Once again
00:51:53This has just been
00:51:56The
00:51:56The spell
00:51:57Of the game
00:51:59Celtic picking up
00:52:01The ball
00:52:01And just
00:52:02Sending it back
00:52:03I'm sure it would have been
00:52:05Pretty
00:52:07Pretty unwise
00:52:09From Tommy Sloan
00:52:10To go and have a go
00:52:11At Celtic
00:52:12Because they would have
00:52:12Get picked off
00:52:13Pretty easily
00:52:14Yeah I don't think
00:52:15They can
00:52:15They can't get the ball
00:52:17For most of this
00:52:1835-36 minutes
00:52:20They've been pinned back
00:52:21They're defending
00:52:22Resolutely
00:52:22They're doing their best
00:52:23And they've ventured up
00:52:25With that
00:52:25Free kick
00:52:26That almost came to something
00:52:27I think that would
00:52:29Their game plan
00:52:29But all the traffic
00:52:30Is going towards
00:52:31They all can let go
00:52:33Here's Cal McGregor
00:52:35For
00:52:36Ralfston
00:52:37Welsh
00:52:47Ralfston
00:52:50Pings the ball out
00:52:52To Donovan
00:52:52He's going to struggle
00:52:54To keep that one alive
00:52:55He does
00:52:55Celtic still
00:52:58In possession
00:52:59Murray
00:53:08Look for movement
00:53:10Ahead of him
00:53:10Almost man marking
00:53:12The Celtic players
00:53:13Ochenlech
00:53:14Here's Welsh
00:53:18Out to
00:53:20Forest
00:53:21Cuts inside
00:53:22Kenny
00:53:24Can he get his second
00:53:25Back to goal though
00:53:26Bernardo
00:53:27Celtic move it out
00:53:28To the right hand side
00:53:30McEwen
00:53:31Opening up again
00:53:32Let's look McEwen
00:53:33It's dropped by Muir
00:53:34But he gets on to the ball
00:53:36Before Donovan gets there
00:53:38I think I look McEwen
00:53:40Fancies a goal
00:53:40From Durston Simon
00:53:41Yeah again
00:53:42Finds himself in space
00:53:43Coming in onto his strong foot
00:53:45Here decides to take it on
00:53:46Better effort than the last one
00:53:48But reasonably comfortable
00:53:49For the goalkeeper
00:53:50I think that's something
00:53:51Celtic should be doing more of
00:53:53Simon just cutting in
00:53:54Having a pop
00:53:54I think in these games
00:53:55I keep repeating myself
00:53:56About width
00:53:57But you've got the two players
00:53:58On the wide
00:54:00That are stronger
00:54:01Coming in the park
00:54:02So yeah
00:54:02Take shots on as well
00:54:04Take a little bit of risk
00:54:07Murray
00:54:08It's out to Forest
00:54:10Can he keep it in
00:54:11And when it doesn't
00:54:12Goes for a goal kick
00:54:13Puts the thumbs up though
00:54:16Appreciates the idea
00:54:18There's no real rhyme or reason to it
00:54:22When there's a lot of bodies
00:54:23Behind the ball
00:54:24Taking the wrist
00:54:25Taking a shot
00:54:26Making it uncomfortable
00:54:26Causing a bit of confusion
00:54:28Sometimes if you just
00:54:29Side to side
00:54:31It can be reasonably comfortable
00:54:32But getting to the byline
00:54:33Getting crosses in
00:54:34Like the one for
00:54:35Bernardo
00:54:36That cut back for Balacuisha
00:54:37That's when it causes
00:54:38Concern for Talbot
00:54:40And I'm sure
00:54:42Balacuisha if you had that
00:54:44Moment again
00:54:44He'd get his head more over the ball
00:54:46And bury it
00:54:47Yeah just
00:54:47Maybe a lapse in concentration
00:54:49Just to
00:54:49Be totally concentrated on it
00:54:51As you say
00:54:52Getting the body over it
00:54:53Keeping it low
00:54:53Search for
00:55:01A ball
00:55:02He's going to have to come
00:55:03From the dugout
00:55:04I'm sure that'll be a
00:55:08A breather for
00:55:10A walking leg of it
00:55:11They've been chasing the ball
00:55:12Constantly in this game
00:55:15Moving from side to side
00:55:16McPherson
00:55:20The ball switched out
00:55:26Ralston
00:55:28Takes a touch
00:55:29Bernardo
00:55:31In the
00:55:32In the corner
00:55:32In the far side
00:55:33Murray
00:55:35Got two players
00:55:36Around him
00:55:36But
00:55:36Ralston right up
00:55:39Pinned back
00:55:40Clears it up to the sky
00:55:41Oh
00:55:42McEwan's done really well there
00:55:43Balacuisha
00:55:45And walking leg
00:55:47Get the throw in
00:55:48Really scrappy stuff
00:55:49But
00:55:49The touchdown from McEwan
00:55:52Was splendid
00:55:53Yeah they were under
00:55:54Heavy pressure there as well
00:55:56Talbot decided to
00:55:59Press high that one
00:56:01Try to keep Siltit in the corner
00:56:03There's Clark
00:56:06His touch just
00:56:07Goes away from him
00:56:08I'm sure walking leg Talbot
00:56:14When they seen the draw
00:56:16If they thought they were
00:56:18Probably going to go into the game
00:56:20And being only 1-0 down at half time
00:56:23They would have
00:56:24Been absolutely delighted
00:56:27But you can see
00:56:27Their players are of real quality
00:56:29There is quality in
00:56:31In those leagues
00:56:32That's for sure
00:56:33They're defending really well
00:56:36Showing great
00:56:37Defensive acumen
00:56:39Yeah they're working hard
00:56:41They're working hard
00:56:42And as it stands
00:56:44Those are still in the game
00:56:441-0 of Corsair
00:56:45Ralphston
00:56:53Goes back to his goalkeeper
00:56:55Just almost outside the centre circle
00:56:59And it shows you
00:57:01How high Celtic are playing
00:57:03Pinning
00:57:03Talbot right back
00:57:05Murray
00:57:05Goes forward
00:57:07Pulls it out to
00:57:08McEwan
00:57:09McGregor
00:57:11Forrest
00:57:16Celtic
00:57:17Look for an opening
00:57:19Once again
00:57:19Wells just dilly-dallys
00:57:21On the ball
00:57:21Knocking like that
00:57:23Chance to go forward
00:57:24No support coming
00:57:27Now here's McEvoy
00:57:28Usually a striker by trade
00:57:30But he's
00:57:31To run back
00:57:32From a right back position
00:57:33Celtic get the ball back
00:57:35And I suppose
00:57:36That's just where
00:57:37It probably kills them a bit
00:57:38Simon
00:57:39When they get an opportunity like that
00:57:41They're such in a defensive structure
00:57:43That they just can't
00:57:45Yeah the transition
00:57:45Transition well
00:57:46Yeah the transition isn't there
00:57:47And
00:57:48Wells obviously gets caught in possession
00:57:49Just makes a mistake
00:57:50As you say they don't have the bodies
00:57:53Forward
00:57:53To capitalise on it
00:57:55McGregor
00:57:58And Celtic get a second goal
00:58:03Before half time
00:58:04McEwan
00:58:05Clips it in
00:58:06He's headed on
00:58:07I think it was from
00:58:08His own defender
00:58:09Willie Muir
00:58:10But he had to collect it
00:58:11Kenny was in there as well
00:58:12But Kenny did get a little nick on it
00:58:14Yeah with McEwan
00:58:16Working in the park
00:58:17Just playing a little low one there
00:58:18And it is
00:58:19It's the defender
00:58:20That gets his head on it
00:58:21Aidan Wilson
00:58:22It was
00:58:22And Ross Hardy
00:58:30A referee
00:58:31Was for a foul
00:58:33On Austin Syme
00:58:34On Balakwisha
00:58:36Six and a half a dozen there
00:58:48With the thoughts
00:58:49Yeah I don't really see much in it
00:58:50Unless Balakwisha
00:58:51Maybe had a hold of his jersey
00:58:52Or something
00:58:53McEwan
00:58:55Clips it forward
00:58:57Kenny
00:59:01Just looks to run onto it
00:59:03McPherson
00:59:03Just hoofs it in
00:59:04Through the Celtic
00:59:05Box
00:59:06Now here's a chance
00:59:08But Welsh
00:59:08Just clears it out
00:59:09McEwan
00:59:12This pass is cut out
00:59:14By Syme
00:59:14A good overlapping run
00:59:18From Schoenville it was
00:59:20And Locking Lake
00:59:21And Locking Lake
00:59:21Halved the throw in
00:59:2230 yards from goal
00:59:24I think Anthony Nelson
00:59:25Just seen a bit
00:59:26Calm down there
00:59:26A little bit
00:59:27Yeah just settle it
00:59:29Look McEwan
00:59:29Tried to thread one through
00:59:31To Balakwisha
00:59:31And it went back to Talbot
00:59:32Just with a minute or so
00:59:34At the halftime
00:59:35Not really making any mistakes
00:59:36Celtic pick up the ball
00:59:38Straight from
00:59:38The throw in
00:59:39McPherson
00:59:40With a nice ball
00:59:42Out to Clark
00:59:44Donovan's out there as well
00:59:45McGregor
00:59:47Nods it on
00:59:48To Forrest
00:59:49Plays it back to his captain
00:59:51Murray now
00:59:55Plenty of time
00:59:56He's not being pressed
00:59:57By the forward line
00:59:58And getting back into the
00:59:59Into the defensive shape
01:00:02As we approach
01:00:04Half time
01:00:04Big chances of course
01:00:07Johnny Kenny
01:00:07Getting the goal
01:00:0832 minutes
01:00:10And Bernardo
01:00:14And Balakwisha
01:00:16Could also have been
01:00:17On the score sheet
01:00:17And it remains
01:00:201-0 at the minute
01:00:21As Forrest's touch
01:00:23Just let him down there
01:00:24And Dawkenleck
01:00:26Have the throw
01:00:27I'm sure those jerseys
01:00:33Will be hung up
01:00:34In frame pictures
01:00:35In Beachwood
01:00:37And a social club
01:00:40There's no doubt
01:00:40To remember the occasion
01:00:47Here's McEwen
01:00:49Donovan
01:00:57Donovan
01:00:57Bernardo
01:01:01One minute added
01:01:06At Rugby Park
01:01:07Of course Celtic
01:01:11Of course Celtic will be back
01:01:12At Rugby Park
01:01:12On the 15th of February
01:01:14And they play
01:01:15In the play
01:01:15In the Scottish Premiership
01:01:17Here's Dane Murray
01:01:28For McEwen
01:01:30A few touches
01:01:31Of the ball
01:01:31He's been caught out
01:01:33Ralston
01:01:34Ralston should pick it
01:01:35Pick it back up
01:01:36Clean it up
01:01:37And Murray
01:01:38Hands the ball
01:01:39Here's Forrest
01:01:46He's got Donovan
01:01:46On the outside
01:01:48Donovan
01:01:49Left footed cross
01:01:50He's got McEwen
01:01:51Can he get it out
01:01:52Underneath his feet
01:01:53Ralston
01:01:56McGregor
01:01:58Ralston switches it back out
01:02:04For Donovan
01:02:04And the flag's up
01:02:06And he's been caught out there
01:02:10And that is
01:02:11Half time
01:02:12At Rugby Park
01:02:13Celtic
01:02:15Up against the record
01:02:16Scottish Junior Cup winners
01:02:17Auchinleck Talbot
01:02:18And it was that man
01:02:20There
01:02:20Johnny Kenny's goal
01:02:21And it's the only thing
01:02:22That separates the two sides
01:02:24Despite the six divisions
01:02:26It's Celtic 1
01:02:28Auchinleck Talbot
01:02:290 at Rugby Park
01:02:30It's been a pretty
01:02:32Attack vs Defence
01:02:34Game to watch
01:02:35Simon
01:02:36Yeah it has
01:02:37If you're Martin O'Neill
01:02:38What's the message
01:02:39At half time
01:02:40And how do they
01:02:42Just try and get
01:02:42This team moving
01:02:43A bit more
01:02:43Well I think
01:02:45Auchinleck
01:02:45Have worked really hard
01:02:46In that 45 minutes
01:02:47I think that might
01:02:48Take its toll
01:02:49In the second half
01:02:50You know it's a
01:02:51It's a hard shift
01:02:52To consistently
01:02:53Defend your goal
01:02:55For 90 minutes
01:02:57I think that might
01:02:58Show in the second half
01:02:59From Celtic's point of view
01:03:00They have to go and get
01:03:01A second and third goal
01:03:02And kill it off
01:03:03Because as we see
01:03:04The one or two ventures
01:03:05That Talbot got up
01:03:06The pitch
01:03:07We set plays
01:03:07There was a little bit
01:03:09Of confusion
01:03:09Inside that box
01:03:10And anything can happen
01:03:11In football
01:03:12So
01:03:12I think his message
01:03:13Will be to
01:03:13Push on and try and get
01:03:15The second and third
01:03:15And kill it
01:03:16Yeah absolutely
01:03:17And let's hope
01:03:17That is the case
01:03:18Here at Rugby Park
01:03:20Now we're going to take
01:03:20A little break
01:03:21And of course
01:03:22It is the Scottish Cup
01:03:22Fourth round
01:03:23The magic of the cup
01:03:24And all that
01:03:24Let's go back
01:03:25Down memory lane
01:03:26And watch
01:03:27Some classic games
01:03:28From this round
01:03:29Of the Scottish Cup
01:03:31Thompson forward to
01:03:43Fernandez in the centre
01:03:44There comes Fernandez
01:03:45Who turns and just plays it
01:03:46Wide to the right
01:03:47To Momo Silla
01:03:47Silla with Lappin in attendance
01:03:49Plays it back to
01:03:50Fernandez
01:03:51Fernandez
01:03:52Closed down by McGinty
01:03:53Tries to find
01:03:54Silla but Lappin
01:03:55Steps in in front
01:03:56Hits it only as far as
01:03:58Yeah I'll believe it's now
01:04:01With Fernandez
01:04:02Fernandez into
01:04:03Larson and it's a goal
01:04:04Henrik Larson's
01:04:06Opened the scoring
01:04:06Two minutes into
01:04:08The second half
01:04:09David Fernandez
01:04:10Played a lovely
01:04:11Pass forward
01:04:12And Larson
01:04:13Ran onto it
01:04:14And just clipped it over
01:04:15Ludovic Roy
01:04:16He couldn't do anything
01:04:17About that one
01:04:17And it's 1-0
01:04:18To Celtic
01:04:19And relief I think
01:04:21Round Celtic Park
01:04:21Tosh
01:04:22Yeah obviously
01:04:23It came early
01:04:23In the second half
01:04:25And now the floodgates
01:04:26Can open
01:04:26And we can get a few goals
01:04:27But certainly
01:04:28Until you get the first goal
01:04:30Then you never know
01:04:30What's going to happen
01:04:31Celtic on the attack
01:04:43At the moment
01:04:44With Henrik Larson
01:04:44It's wide to the left
01:04:45To Fernandez
01:04:46Fernandez
01:04:46He's inside the box
01:04:47Still Fernandez
01:04:48Rolls it to Larson
01:04:49Larson with a left foot shot
01:04:50And there's a goal
01:04:51A great goal
01:04:52From Henrik Larson
01:04:53From the edge of the D
01:04:54He took the ball
01:04:56From Fernandez
01:04:56The provider again
01:04:57Left foot strike
01:04:59Left
01:04:59Ludovic Roy
01:05:00With no chance
01:05:01It's Henrik Larson
01:05:02Two goals
01:05:03And Celtic 2-0
01:05:04Get a very good strike
01:05:07Again there
01:05:07Fernandez involved
01:05:10In the build up
01:05:11Again
01:05:12Playing the ball
01:05:13Across the
01:05:13The pace of the penalty
01:05:14Never an easy ball to take
01:05:16But the quality of Larson
01:05:17Took it in his stride
01:05:19Took it in his stride
01:05:19And struck it
01:05:20In fact it's Gillis
01:05:23Gillis plays it to
01:05:25Six yard box
01:05:25That's headed out
01:05:26By Healy
01:05:27Picked up by McNamara
01:05:29McNamara searching forward
01:05:31Towards the halfway line
01:05:32McNamara
01:05:33Looks to switch it to the right
01:05:35To Maloney
01:05:36Maloney
01:05:36Showing great pace
01:05:37He's inside the box
01:05:38He just has to cut it back
01:05:39Siller's there
01:05:40It's Momo Siller
01:05:40Still Momo Siller
01:05:42And it's a goal
01:05:43From Momo Siller
01:05:44I thought he'd lost control
01:05:46But he managed to
01:05:47Redeem himself
01:05:49And slide the ball
01:05:50With his left foot
01:05:51Under Ludovic Roy
01:05:52Great play from Celtic
01:05:54Maloney shown great pace
01:05:55To support the attack
01:05:56Took his time
01:05:57Saw Siller
01:05:58And Siller's made it 3-0
01:06:00Yeah first of all
01:06:01You've got to give
01:06:02Jackie McNamara credit as well
01:06:03That was a terrific ball
01:06:04Into Maloney
01:06:06Thought they'd lost the chance
01:06:07But certainly
01:06:08Siller popped up
01:06:09With another good goal
01:06:10He scored a good goal
01:06:11Against Feyenoord
01:06:11The other night
01:06:14And the temperature
01:06:17Not affecting the
01:06:18Players in any way Paul
01:06:20But it is bitterly cold
01:06:21Out there tonight
01:06:22Yeah
01:06:22You know the spot
01:06:24We've got
01:06:25Just behind
01:06:26Oh great play
01:06:27From Scott Brown
01:06:28He lays it off to the
01:06:29Adam Matthews
01:06:31Inside the penalty box
01:06:32Further back to
01:06:32Michael Lustig
01:06:33Sweets one into the box
01:06:34It's cleared as far as
01:06:36F.A. Ambrose
01:06:37Back to Matthews
01:06:39That was wonderful skill
01:06:40From Scott Brown
01:06:41Absolutely yeah
01:06:43And again
01:06:44Brown
01:06:45Samaras this time
01:06:46Cross the face
01:06:47A goal
01:06:47And the offside flag
01:06:48Goes up
01:06:49As Lassad turns it
01:06:50Into the net
01:06:51It was
01:06:51Gavin Harris
01:06:53The assistant referee
01:06:54In the far side
01:06:55And difficult to see
01:06:56From this angle
01:06:56But we won't argue
01:06:57Malgru
01:06:58Curls one
01:07:05It's deep towards
01:07:06The back post
01:07:07As a few people
01:07:08Go for it
01:07:08It breaks to Scott Brown
01:07:09Lays it off to
01:07:10Michael Lustig
01:07:10Headed away
01:07:11Played back in again
01:07:12Samaras
01:07:13Turns
01:07:14and Samurasinger Judge to have handled that, the assistant referee is getting it tight from Neil Lennon, he disagrees.
01:07:21Yeah I think he was saying it hit Sam Georgios on the thighs, rather than the handball that the referee penalised him for him.
01:07:28Thankfully the ball didn't go in the back of the net because obviously that had been two goals disallowed in quick succession.
01:07:38Steven Dorris is forced to check his run because Michael Lustig was putting him under some pressure,
01:07:42it's chipped into the Celtic penalty box, still not completely cleared and a shot from Sheeran was blocked by Kelvin Wilson,
01:07:50I think, into the box it comes again and Beram Caillau heads it out this time, only as far as Brian Kerr.
01:07:56He goes out to that left-hand side for a growth but it's picked up by Michael Lustig, he plays it back into the Celtic 18-yard box,
01:08:05probably not the cleverest thing to do and Emilio Izaguiri gives it back to Charlie Mulgrew and Scott Brown comes back just to get Celtic out of trouble here I think.
01:08:14I think it may have been Charlie actually that blocked out of his head, that was going into the top corner, Fraser Foster was diving at full length but it was a great shot.
01:08:21It's a break on here, Adam Matthews down the right-hand side, he's inside the box and what a call from Adam Matthews,
01:08:27his first in Celtic colours and it's Ardwroth now, Celtic won in the 18th minute.
01:08:33Incredible, I mean I did say on Saturday I thought he would score, I said earlier on tonight it was only a matter of time before he got his first goal and my goodness what a goal,
01:08:41to open your scoring account, that was the only option open for him but to play that into the top right-hand corner, absolutely magnificent and
01:08:48he had a wonderful game on Saturday at Rugby Park and he's great at right back or left back but I think even in that right wing back role,
01:08:56he adds so much going forward, brilliant, brilliant finish for 1-0.
01:09:01F.A. Ambrose, just knocked it too far ahead of him but it's with Charlie Mulgrew, he brings it into the Ardwroth half, plays it out towards Samaras,
01:09:19Samaras brings it under control, Lassad, he missed, kicked it completely, it was one and one with the goalkeeper,
01:09:25I don't know whether he was trying to be too casual Paul or just never made the right contact with him.
01:09:33Four apiece we are on corners now, still no sign of any changes from either side but Celtic would find it a massive blow to go.
01:09:44Lose a goal at this stage, the goalkeeper comes for it, doesn't get there and turned into the net and it won't count will it?
01:09:52No, I think the referee had already penalised the player of the challenge on Fraser Foster again so you know,
01:09:59Abbrose fans I don't think they, well, no he's definitely, he's disallowed it so I think the Abbrose fans were,
01:10:08all the players made their way back to their own half, thought it was a goal but.
01:10:11Derek Rennie, Derek Holmes on, so three substitutions for the home side, two so far for Celtic but a third one is imminent as we understand it.
01:10:23And it's a spraying pass out towards Adam Matthews, Lustig on the overlap, Matthews chips it into the box, bounces once,
01:10:30not convincingly held by the goalkeeper, Berham Kayal bundled to the ground, he got a decent contact with that and the ball eventually played up towards the halfway line
01:10:40and I don't know whether the Abbrose fans were shouting for a free kick committed by Berham Kayal or whether the Celtic fans were looking for a penalty, if it was a chance on here,
01:10:49Burse is through and a save to the goalkeeper and that was his first touch, Conor Burse, in 77 minutes and the goalkeeper did remarkably well to turn it behind for a corner kick.
01:11:01He did, it would have been the most incredible substitution there and, you know, it just came from, there's a couple of 50-50 balls there that are both won and they got the break and the ball was played through
01:11:10and I'm sure the substitute was just seeing the moment of glory and he came so close to equalising.
01:11:18Lustig starts to bring the ball forward and again Ardenova's funnelling back into position,
01:11:24that's worked on to Tierney, down the left-hand side, he's got Sinclair inside, gives it to the Celtic winger, goes for the return,
01:11:31keeps that ball in play, he's at the corner flag, good play there from Tierney, plays it back to Sinclair, inside the box, there's a chance for Sinclair
01:11:37and he scoops it, it's in the back of the net! Oh, what a goal to break the deadlock!
01:11:42He curled it into the top corner and Ross Stewart had no chance, Celtic 1, Albion Rovers 0.
01:11:48Well, it was just as I said there Paul, you know, a young Tierney out wide cuts it back to Sinclair
01:11:54and it, he sort of looked as if it was scooping over the bar and it just dipped right in the top corner,
01:12:00couldn't have placed it any better, terrific goal.
01:12:04Well, I think it was just that moment's hesitation when everybody waited to see where it ended up,
01:12:08but it was absolute pinpoint accuracy, it couldn't have got any nearer into that corner.
01:12:13No, when he first hit it, it didn't look as if he'd caught it properly, it looked as if it was going to scoop over the bar,
01:12:19but, you know, he managed to get backspin or something on it, pulled it under the bar, great goal.
01:12:28Can't blow it over the halfway line.
01:12:31Roberts does well, gets past three men, wonderful skill from Roberts, Roberts into the box,
01:12:36nodges it on towards Brown, Brown across, it's flicked into the net, and it's a goal from Moussa Dembele,
01:12:42made by Patrick Roberts, assisted by Scott Brown, converted by Moussa Dembele, it's 2-0.
01:12:50Well, that's just what was needed, a wee bit of magic there, great play by Roberts, turning, beating Freeman,
01:12:55driving into the box, slipping it to Scott Brown, who squares that across and Moussa Dembele's there to put it in the back of the net.
01:13:01Oh, Moussa Dembele gets the goal, he was on the line, it's where you want your strikers to be,
01:13:07but it was the skill of Patrick Roberts, that's why the manager brought him in, and he made an instant impact.
01:13:14I just think it's still pushing forward in search of a third goal.
01:13:18Gamboa to Roberts, Roberts, edge of the box.
01:13:25There's three men there, still Patrick Roberts goes beyond them, he's into the box, there's a chance,
01:13:34in the back of the net, wonderful skill, Armstrong, the finisher, and again, the wing wizardry of Patrick Roberts, 3-0.
01:13:42Superb. You know, the ball's out to Robertson, he slows it right down, draws his man in and then just accelerates away,
01:13:51cuts a great ball back to Stuart Armstrong, stick it away for 3-0.
01:13:55Well, he has made a major impact since he's come on Patrick Robertson, again, just that pace and trickery,
01:14:03just to set up Stuart Armstrong for the third goal.
01:14:06I used to go and buy videos, you know, actual VHS videos, and I used to like, save up my money to try and get Maradona videos.
01:14:34He was like, oh, you're playing number 10, like, off of Henrik.
01:14:37Right, okay, start my Henrik Larsson up front from absolutely nowhere.
01:14:40Missed a sitter at 1-0. Missed a sitter at 1-0. Missed a don't go, actually.
01:14:44You know, this is what he thought of me. He thought I was too cocky, too arrogant.
01:14:50I thought I'd already made it. So, don't ever stop doing what you're good at.
01:14:55Don't ever stop doing what got you in the first team in the first place.
01:14:57It doesn't get much better, does it? Like, a Celtic fan growing up, scoring against Rangers in a cup final.
01:15:04That's why I'm at this point, because I have to try and push my feet deeper.
01:15:11Let me go to the next couple times.
01:15:12I'll just go to the next couple times.
01:15:16Let me go to the next couple times.
01:15:18I automatically go to the next couple times.
01:15:20I'll just go to the next couple times.
01:15:22I want to go to the next couple times.
