00:00:07.
00:00:23Welcome back to Hampden Park, it's Celtic 2,
00:00:26Dunfermline 0 in the Scottish Cup final.
00:00:30Been a pretty dominant performance from Celtic in that first half.
00:00:39And as they take some big, gigantic steps
00:00:43to clinching the double in a season where many thought
00:00:48it would have been trophy-less for Celtic,
00:00:51but Martin O'Neill's mentality monsters
00:00:54rose to the occasion over the split.
00:00:58Delivered the title and they look a sure thing here
00:01:01unless something remarkable happens
00:01:04to win the Scottish Cup and clinch the double.
00:01:07Simon, they took it in the first half,
00:01:10but it's been, as you said, really too easy for Celtic,
00:01:13and you would imagine that Neil Lennon and Dunfermline
00:01:16might make some changes.
00:01:17Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised.
00:01:19The competitor that Neil is,
00:01:22he'll obviously not be best pleased with that first half.
00:01:25We've just seen his reaction when they did get into the Celtic half
00:01:28just towards half-time and opted to go back the way.
00:01:31He wasn't a happy man at all.
00:01:34So, yeah, I would expect changes,
00:01:35but at the same time I look at the Celtic team,
00:01:38I think they'll go strong again.
00:01:40They'll get guys on the bench full of energy,
00:01:43the craft of Ineatro as well.
00:01:45So, it's a tall order for Dunfermline.
00:01:47I firmly expect Celtic to kick on
00:01:49and get another couple of goals in this second half.
00:01:51Yeah, Celtic just coming back out onto the pitch.
00:01:54They'll be shooting towards the traditional Celtic end,
00:01:59the east end of the stadium.
00:02:04So, a great scene to get a few goals in this second half
00:02:09and really just put the icing on the cake.
00:02:12And talking of changes, I can see Zach Grudden and Chris Kane.
00:02:19So, Neil Lennon has made a couple of changes.
00:02:23So, we'll see who that is for,
00:02:26but I'm quite surprised Chris Kane didn't start, to be honest, Simon.
00:02:31I know maybe Neil Lennon thinking about impact.
00:02:35Shea Kearney coming on as well, former Cliftonville man as well.
00:02:38Three changes that is for Neil Lennon.
00:02:43So, yeah, I mean, I think that was pretty obvious
00:02:46that that was going to happen, to be honest.
00:02:48Yeah, things haven't happened the way that we've maybe planned.
00:02:51We don't know in the week build-up what his thought process was
00:02:55in his team selection, but he's been decisive here
00:02:58and he's made three changes straight away.
00:03:00John Todd comes off for Shea Kearney.
00:03:03Zach Grudden comes on.
00:03:05Chris Kane comes on.
00:03:06Callum Morrison comes off.
00:03:07I think it was Oakley Booth as well that comes off.
00:03:10So, a treble of changes for Neil Lennon
00:03:17as they look to try and make sure this game doesn't get away from them.
00:03:21Celtic, however, no changes for them.
00:03:23Lots of options on the bench as well.
00:03:26It can really only be better for Dunfermline
00:03:28and Celtic will be looking to put on the style in front of the Celtic fans
00:03:33before they take the trophy.
00:03:34Just a short journey up the road to Celtic Park should they get over the line.
00:03:43There's Robbie Fraser.
00:03:47For Chilacoa Mullen.
00:03:51Cairney the Irishman.
00:03:53Cairney the Irishman.
00:03:54Won the Cup in Northern Ireland with Cliftonville last year.
00:04:03Johnston.
00:04:04And he's late in the tackle there on Andrew Todd.
00:04:09And it's an early free kick in the first half for Dunfermline.
00:04:13Yeah, Johnston did well there.
00:04:15Just nipped it in front of Alistair Johnson and it gives him an opportunity
00:04:20with the height of Ruddin in there.
00:04:22And Kane as well.
00:04:24And Kane experience to put one into the Celtic box here.
00:04:29Now Matty Todd stands over it.
00:04:31Two seasoned campaigners in there as you said.
00:04:34Ruddin and Kane.
00:04:35Fraser puts the ball in.
00:04:37He's headed away by Tierney Abdoulaye.
00:04:44Chilacoa Mullen has got a chance here.
00:04:46And he goes on a strong challenge and he wins the corner kick.
00:04:50Kieran Tierney can't believe that.
00:04:52And Dunfermline have a corner kick and it is much better than the first half.
00:04:59Yeah, it's a aggressive start.
00:05:01Positive start from Dunfermline's perspective of the changes.
00:05:06Well, it's a corner kick.
00:05:08First of the game for the Pars.
00:05:11Two-time Cup winners.
00:05:15Lofted in all the way through.
00:05:17It's a big chance for Abdoulaye to get the equaliser.
00:05:24It's a great ball in, and he's coming back at it.
00:05:26He just can't get his head round to direct it on target.
00:05:30It's a driven corner.
00:05:32It made its way through to him.
00:05:34It just couldn't direct the header on target.
00:05:36That's a massive opportunity for Dunfermline.
00:05:39You're not going to get much.
00:05:41Yeah, he's just coming back away from the goal.
00:05:44Can't generate enough to redirect it towards.
00:05:47I mean, that's the big thing, Celtic just can't get complacent.
00:05:55Gilmore for Fraser, moves it on for Todd.
00:06:00Here's Zach Ruddin, ball comes into the box, it's Kane.
00:06:04I think Scales is in there, good defending.
00:06:08Yeah, it's good play again.
00:06:09Just simple, ball down the side.
00:06:11No hesitation, put it into a danger area.
00:06:15Basic defending from Scales.
00:06:17With Kane locking.
00:06:19Promising start to the second half for the Pars.
00:06:25Celtic just need to ride out whatever may come here.
00:06:33Fraser, Todd.
00:06:35That's a break of the ball, ball comes in again.
00:06:37And that goes all the way through to Sinasao.
00:06:44As I said, the competitive edge of Neil Lennon.
00:06:47He's not wanting to go out on a whimper here.
00:06:50He's been bold at the start of the second half with his changes.
00:06:56Sanasao for Scales.
00:06:59Of course, Celtic with two goals in that first half.
00:07:03Maeda's wish pass.
00:07:05It's a chance now for Ruddin.
00:07:07Gets a shot.
00:07:10McGregor with the right-footed clearance over the half-way line.
00:07:13And it's all Dunfermline at the start of this second half.
00:07:16Yeah, it's the most uncomfortable set it'll have been in the game up until now.
00:07:20Just with a change of personnel and a little bit of energy
00:07:23in the start of this second half from Dunfermline.
00:07:30Fraser goes down.
00:07:31McLean, the referee, gives...
00:07:36..Dunfermline the free kick.
00:07:38And another free kick that Celtic will have to defend.
00:07:43Yeah, the first five minutes, really positive from Dunfermline.
00:07:46Fraser there, the direct run.
00:07:49Forcing the free kick.
00:07:50It's another set play.
00:07:51Celtic will need to stay concentrated and defend.
00:07:57Fraser and Matty Todd over this one.
00:08:01Sanasalo just shouting instructions to his wall.
00:08:05Forrest and McGregor in there.
00:08:08A bit more height now in that Dunfermline team.
00:08:14Todd.
00:08:15Swings it in, it's headed on, it goes well over the bar, but...
00:08:20Sanasalo not quite happy that Celtic haven't made the first contact there.
00:08:26Yeah, I think it's Kane that just tries to glance at it, but it's far too much on it.
00:08:39And it just shows that a goal from Dunfermline...
00:08:45..and just makes Celtic think one or two things.
00:08:51Just as St Mirren did in that second half in the semi-final.
00:08:57Cholico Amon.
00:08:59Out to Kearney.
00:09:04It's well held up by Rudden.
00:09:06That's probably what they were missing in that first half.
00:09:11Johnston wins the header.
00:09:13Goes out for Adam Firm on throw.
00:09:27And Gwen up.
00:09:31It's part of the Stramash that led to the goal against Hibbs in the earlier rounds.
00:09:38And Cholico Amon stays on his feet there.
00:09:41Eventually gets a free kick.
00:09:45From Maeda.
00:09:58Martin O'Neill now out on the...
00:10:00..on the...
00:10:02..on the dugout.
00:10:04Not sure of his instructions.
00:10:07And laid out to the team as Dunfermline have come out in the second half.
00:10:12With a bit more impetus.
00:10:14Yeah, they have, it's their best period by far.
00:10:17This first five or six minutes.
00:10:19Oh, here's Yang.
00:10:21Can Celtic.
00:10:23Hit them where it hurts.
00:10:25And Yang goes down.
00:10:26Here's Forrest.
00:10:27He goes down now.
00:10:29No foul given for both.
00:10:30But there's more that Yang won.
00:10:31That seemed a bit remarkable that that wasn't given.
00:10:34Here's Chris Kane.
00:10:36And into a wrestling match with Austin Troste.
00:10:43And...
00:10:45I think he's climbing, Kane was holding him.
00:10:47It was a bit of both, but he's going to get booked here, Troste.
00:10:49Yeah, he has gone into the book, Austin Troste.
00:10:52I just thought when it opened up for Yang, all he had to do was roll Forrest in.
00:10:57Whether he was impeded or just couldn't get out of his feet in time.
00:11:02You can see this one again.
00:11:05Grappling.
00:11:07Six and a half a dozen.
00:11:09Six and a half a dozen, yeah.
00:11:12And that Troste goes into the book.
00:11:14Almost seems a bit harsh.
00:11:17Big defender.
00:11:19Thought so.
00:11:20Here's the goal.
00:11:22Fraser's delivery.
00:11:26And here's Yang.
00:11:29Pulls the ball up well.
00:11:30Needs support.
00:11:32Engels.
00:11:35Look for Maeda.
00:11:36Todd has to nod the ball down.
00:11:39Here's Fraser.
00:11:39Fraser.
00:11:40He's been a real supply of goals and assists.
00:11:45Fraser.
00:11:47He's just not getting the game at all, but a few deliveries in this second half.
00:11:50Yeah, he started the second half.
00:11:53On a brighter note.
00:11:54As have done Felman as the team.
00:11:59I'm sure Celtic will stay calm.
00:12:02Plenty of options on the bench.
00:12:04There's an option.
00:12:04The likes of Iernachel, Rylston, McEwen and Tenekte all warming up at the minute.
00:12:15Plenty of options there.
00:12:18As the game progresses.
00:12:30It's in the Salo.
00:12:34Interstate into the referee's book.
00:12:46Tierney for Yang, and goes out of play for a Celtic throw.
00:12:51Lennon can't believe that.
00:13:10Tierney just waits for options, decides to try and arrow a long throw in to the corner.
00:13:17Dunfermline come away with the ball, using Gwena.
00:13:22Aida will press Oxford.
00:13:28Here's Kearney.
00:13:33Celtic win the ball back.
00:13:37McGregor.
00:13:48Angles goes down under the challenge from Matty Todd.
00:14:08And the last time Celtic went up against Championship opposition.
00:14:13It was Inverness in the final three years ago.
00:14:19And then Ange Postekoglu delivered his treble.
00:14:27Trusty picks up the ball, here's Engles.
00:14:32Vingles earlier in the game.
00:14:34Good football from Celtic.
00:14:36Negrin for Yang.
00:14:39Here's Engles.
00:14:42Looks for Maeda.
00:14:44And it's well held in the end by Oxborough.
00:14:47Really nice move from Celtic.
00:14:49Swift passing there.
00:14:51Interchanging.
00:14:53Finishing with the Engles cross.
00:14:55Couldn't reach Maeda in the middle.
00:14:58Johnston, Celtic look to just reassert a bit of control.
00:15:04That is the first change from a Celtic point of view is about to be made.
00:15:10And Kelechi Iheanacho getting readied.
00:15:24Scales goes down from the challenge of Chris Kane.
00:15:28Which should allow Celtic the opportunity to get their change.
00:15:34Looks like Neil Lennon will also make a change for Dunfermline.
00:15:39Alphonso Amade getting ready to come on as well.
00:15:46A late challenge there from Kane on scales.
00:15:56And it will be James Forrest that will make way.
00:16:01No goal in the Scottish Cup final for him, but he won't care if Celtic got over the line
00:16:07and win the Cup, Simon.
00:16:09Yeah, no goal for him.
00:16:10But he's had a decent performance.
00:16:13And as you say, he's picking up another winner's medal.
00:16:16Yet another winner's medal after 90 minutes.
00:16:19He won't be too bothered.
00:16:21That will take James Forrest up to 28, which is just a remarkable haul.
00:16:27His first trophy for Celtic came 15 years ago when Celtic beat Motherwell in the final.
00:16:38Neil Lennon was the Celtic manager.
00:16:42Abdelay comes off for Alphonso Amade.
00:16:50He'll just go into central midfield alongside Charlie Gilmour.
00:16:56So Celtic have rejigged the front line, it's Maeda on the left.
00:17:00Where he was so impactful last week.
00:17:05Ian Accio through the middle and Yang probably on his preferred right-hand side.
00:17:14Maeda concedes the free kick.
00:17:19You know, I fancy Kallecchi, Ian Accio, to score this afternoon.
00:17:23Just thinking there, Dylan, we talk about the importance of Maeda's goals in the run-in,
00:17:27but this guy has popped up with some important goals as well.
00:17:31So there's great composure.
00:17:33That semi-final springs to mind.
00:17:36So I would not be surprised if he finds a target this afternoon.
00:17:40Yeah.
00:17:40He's got half an hour.
00:17:42He was denied by the post last week.
00:17:44Nearly took the roof off of Celtic Park, had it went in.
00:17:47Then the roof went off anyway towards the end.
00:17:51Yang clips the ball, looking for Ian Accio.
00:17:54Headed down by Cholicoa.
00:17:56Moment.
00:17:59The Nigerian will try and close down the goalkeeper, Oxford.
00:18:02He'll head back to Motherwell in the summer.
00:18:09That's another foul given, probably just a lot of cheap free kicks given away by Celtic in this second half,
00:18:15Simon.
00:18:15The two lads that have come on in this first 15 minutes have caused problems.
00:18:20They've got experience, they know how to use their body.
00:18:25They're physical.
00:18:26Now Kane just tries to leave it on for Todd.
00:18:31Andrew Todd clips it in, Sinasawa's got to punch it away.
00:18:35Tierney should clean this one up.
00:18:38Finds Ian Accio.
00:18:44And Dunfermline just posing much more of a threat in this second half.
00:18:49A third goal for Celtic really would signal game over.
00:18:56But the next goal, as they say, that cliche is really important.
00:19:04If Dunfermline get it, it will make things very uncomfortable.
00:19:08If Celtic get it, you can put the green and white ribbons on the trophy.
00:19:19And just his pass is poor.
00:19:23Here's Rudden looking for Armadi.
00:19:28Mati Todd for Kearney.
00:19:32Looks for Rudden, heads it down.
00:19:35Gilmour.
00:19:37And Gwena.
00:19:40For Fraser.
00:19:42He's got a good delivery on him.
00:19:44Goes back to Gilmour.
00:19:47Armadi's got lots of room.
00:19:48Goes for goal!
00:19:50That's probably the biggest opening Dunfermline's had.
00:19:54Flashes past Sinasawa's goal.
00:19:56Just wide.
00:19:58Yeah, it's a good effort.
00:19:59They work it well.
00:20:01They're patient in the build-up.
00:20:04It finds its way to Armadi at the edge of the box.
00:20:06And a bit of space here.
00:20:07They work it back.
00:20:08Don't just launch it in.
00:20:10Picks him out nicely.
00:20:12This isn't a million miles away.
00:20:14Has Sinasawa scrambling there.
00:20:19Oh, the Mozambican.
00:20:21That was a fine effort.
00:20:25Goes past the post.
00:20:35Goes for a Celtic throw.
00:20:37That'll get.
00:20:39The boys in green and white.
00:20:41Up the pitch of it.
00:20:46Just over the hour.
00:20:48Celtic two.
00:20:48Dunfermline nil.
00:20:52Well, it's been better from the pars in the second half.
00:20:56Yang.
00:20:57He just runs out of play.
00:21:03As the Celtic fans just try and lift the team a bit.
00:21:07It's maybe a bit too easy in the first half.
00:21:10As they just try and lift the levels of the Celtic players.
00:21:18Todd.
00:21:20Rolls it back for Fraser.
00:21:22Looking for the run of Chris Kane.
00:21:24And then goes out.
00:21:26For a throw.
00:21:32Johnston.
00:21:34Looks for Yang.
00:21:35Just on his heels.
00:21:35The Korean.
00:21:42Kearney.
00:21:43Looks for Chris Kane.
00:21:46Looks rudder.
00:21:47We should say.
00:21:54Scales.
00:21:55Looks for the run of Maeda.
00:22:02Oh, he's done well.
00:22:03Dyson Maeda.
00:22:04Oh, he's done well.
00:22:07He just never gives off on anything.
00:22:10The king of the lost cause.
00:22:13He really is.
00:22:15He really is.
00:22:16And the footballers should know better than trying to see the ball over the line.
00:22:19Because you know he's going to come round the back of you.
00:22:21He'll steal it.
00:22:22He'll never give up on anything.
00:22:30McGregor.
00:22:3216th cup final in Celtic colours.
00:22:3514 winners' medals.
00:22:40Remarkable.
00:22:40Remarkable.
00:22:41Until he.
00:22:42He arrived at the Scottish Cup final last year.
00:22:44He had never lost that.
00:22:46A cup final.
00:22:48Until his last two.
00:22:50It's good football from Celtic.
00:22:52Maeda.
00:22:53That's a wild cross.
00:22:57Just looking for that low ball across the box.
00:23:00Yeah, he just gets it all wrong.
00:23:01And he's got teammates.
00:23:02He's got three of them in there.
00:23:03It's a lovely little.
00:23:05Move.
00:23:06Ineacho round the corner.
00:23:08Negrin sticks Maeda in.
00:23:10It's just a wee bit wasteful with the cross.
00:23:14The enigma of Dyson Maeda.
00:23:17Yeah, it's an opportunity.
00:23:19He's got teammates in there.
00:23:20Just roll it along the deck.
00:23:21Ineacho's looking for it.
00:23:24Just miss-hits it.
00:23:27I think when many look back,
00:23:28when in this era of Celtic teams,
00:23:34Dyson Maeda's face will just be so recognisable with this era and how dominant they've been.
00:23:49Scales looks to just shepherd this one out.
00:23:51He's done very well.
00:23:53Absolutely brilliant.
00:23:56It was Borrezi-esque from Liam Scales.
00:23:59Negrin lays the ball through.
00:24:01Here's Yang.
00:24:02The flag's down.
00:24:03It's Iheanacho!
00:24:06The flag's up.
00:24:09The flag is up.
00:24:12It will be checked.
00:24:15Initially I think Yang maybe creeps offside.
00:24:18I think Ineacho's onside.
00:24:21Maeda on the far side,
00:24:22the crept offside as well as we see it back.
00:24:30That's very tight.
00:24:32I think this might be...
00:24:36It's so tight.
00:24:37Yeah.
00:24:39From those angles.
00:24:40The irony is Ineacho is in if Yang doesn't take it off his feet there.
00:24:54I said I did fancy him for a goal, but the linesmen had other ideas.
00:25:00There's still just a bit of a delay here,
00:25:03and the goal is confirmed to be chopped offside.
00:25:06Yeah.
00:25:08That was tight, but probably the right decision in the end.
00:25:12Yeah, I think if Yang chose to leave it,
00:25:15I think Ineacho is straight and in goal there.
00:25:18Having said that, it all happens at the split second.
00:25:27I thought that...
00:25:30That would have been it.
00:25:31The game almost over.
00:25:33As you see the confirmation of the offside.
00:25:36He's just a bit ahead of the play.
00:25:42And that is Yang.
00:25:47And the Celtic search for that third goal.
00:25:52That will surely clinch the double.
00:26:03Gilmer wins the header.
00:26:05Johnston and Negrin in there as well.
00:26:09Celtic win the free kick.
00:26:12As the Celtic fans pay tribute to the best team in the club's history
00:26:19on the sixty-seventh minute.
00:26:32The Celtic's greatest of our side.
00:26:35The Celtic's greatest of our side.
00:26:47It's in the saddle.
00:26:49Almost like an extra defender this afternoon.
00:26:52Barring a few moments at the start of the second half.
00:26:58Here's McGregor.
00:27:01Engels, fine pass for Yang.
00:27:04Looks to clip it out for Maeda.
00:27:08Scales.
00:27:10Just loses control.
00:27:12And it's Ruddent.
00:27:15Oh, it's right off his face there.
00:27:16That is a sore one for Zach Ruddent.
00:27:22Just deflected back onto his face.
00:27:25Yeah, just overruns it a wee bit.
00:27:26Just tries to cut back inside.
00:27:28And then it's a desperate slide tackle.
00:27:30It's ricocheted right off his head.
00:27:34Well, as I say.
00:27:35He'll be feeling that.
00:27:44Ouch.
00:27:47It's Chris Cain it is.
00:27:48Chris Cain, yeah.
00:27:54We're so alike up here.
00:27:56But he just cut inside and then it ran away from him.
00:27:59He's trying to retrieve it and it's right off his nose.
00:28:07Well, plenty for Neil Lennon to think about.
00:28:13Wonderful seeing that hand in part from above.
00:28:22Celtic, 20 or so minutes away from adding another trophy
00:28:26to their historic collection.
00:28:30Good to see Chris Cain up and about.
00:28:33After an accidental ricochet onto his face from the ball.
00:28:50Johnston.
00:28:53Negrin, can he keep it in play? He does.
00:28:56Celtic are on the move.
00:28:58It's a good ball from Negrin.
00:29:00Outside of the foot, similar to Yang in the first half.
00:29:03And Oxborough collects.
00:29:05It's a great idea, just doesn't get enough bend on it.
00:29:08He's trying to pick out in the middle there.
00:29:18Here's Gilmart, a bit of space round him.
00:29:20Finds Robbie Fraser.
00:29:23Or Todd.
00:29:33Here's Keirn, mate.
00:29:38Ruddin and Cain once again linking up.
00:29:43Here's Engels, looks for the pass out to Yang.
00:29:47Look over the shoulder, he's got Nguena with him.
00:29:50And he wins the throw, he does well to Kyrén.
00:29:53Yeah, good run forward.
00:29:55Encourages Engels to find him in behind there.
00:30:00Wins the throw in.
00:30:12McGregor.
00:30:16Nice.
00:30:17Negrin, drop of the shoulder.
00:30:19He's got Yang to his right.
00:30:20Goes inside for Johnston.
00:30:22Takes his time.
00:30:24Chilakoa Mullen, instead of a team-mate.
00:30:29Brilliant from Scales, just standing there.
00:30:31Stepping out.
00:30:32And just like that, loses the ball.
00:30:34But Trusty will nod the ball on to Tierney.
00:30:39Here's Maeda, over the halfway line.
00:30:53Here's Negrin, over the halfway line again.
00:30:55The Celtic look for that third goal.
00:30:58Here's Keirn.
00:30:59Iheanacho checks on, shoots for the handball.
00:31:01Iheanacho's still got it.
00:31:03What a goal!
00:31:05Absolutely brilliant.
00:31:08Kelechi Iheanacho, the fans call him magic.
00:31:12That was a magic goal from Kelechi Iheanacho.
00:31:16What a finish.
00:31:18And that will be game over.
00:31:20And the cup is coming to paradise.
00:31:23Celtic will have the double.
00:31:26Absolute class.
00:31:28Dets the ball in the tight area.
00:31:30There could be a call for a penalty.
00:31:33He keeps his balance.
00:31:35And he walks it into the net.
00:31:38Superb skill.
00:31:39Superb composure.
00:31:48Unbelievable stuff.
00:31:49There was shouts for a penalty here.
00:31:51But the Nigerian didn't care.
00:31:54Ninth goal of the season.
00:31:55What an impact he's been.
00:31:58A little handball there.
00:31:59Then there's a challenge.
00:32:00He rides them both.
00:32:01And then he walks it by the keeper.
00:32:03As easy as that.
00:32:05In a cup final.
00:32:08Well, he's a winner of the FA Cup.
00:32:11And he's going to add the Scottish Cup.
00:32:14What a player he's been for Celtic in this period.
00:32:19A real fan favourite as well.
00:32:21It's Celtic 3, Dunfermline 0.
00:32:25It's a fabulous finish.
00:32:28He just doesn't panic when he gets into that box in tight areas.
00:32:32He knows he's got the ability to manoeuvre the ball.
00:32:36And he pops up with another fantastic finish.
00:32:39Yang makes way.
00:32:41New contract.
00:32:42No goal on the day.
00:32:44But he will be replaced by Sebastian Tenekte.
00:32:49And it looks like Alex Oxley-Chamberlain will also come on for Benjamin Negrin.
00:32:55He ends his season.
00:32:57Celtic's top goalscorer, 22.
00:33:0021 goals, I should say.
00:33:03He was looking for 22, but not to be.
00:33:07And it's number 21 that replaces him, Alex Oxley-Chamberlain.
00:33:11And it's real party time now for Celtic and the fans here in the stadium, Simon.
00:33:16Fans are in full voice.
00:33:17They know what's done.
00:33:20Third goal.
00:33:21Dunfermline had their best period at the start of the second half.
00:33:25Celtic came through that.
00:33:27Pushed on and they've got the third goal.
00:33:30Under a thousand minutes Kalechi Iheanacho has played this season.
00:33:35But what an impact he's had.
00:33:37From last minute winners, when you think of that penalty at Motherwell,
00:33:40the ice in his veins.
00:33:42He's a cool customer.
00:33:44I know Paul says it in commentary quite a lot.
00:33:47If only he was fitter and he was a few years younger.
00:33:52Yeah, but I still think he can offer stuff with legs round about him.
00:33:56He's clever.
00:33:57The way he holds the ball in, he sees things in the game.
00:34:00And get him in that 18-yard box.
00:34:02As you say, ice in the veins.
00:34:04Does not panic.
00:34:06He won it.
00:34:06Easter road springs to mind.
00:34:08Lesser players would have had a lash attack.
00:34:10He allowed it to drop and stroked it into the back of the net.
00:34:12There's not enough said about that goal at Easter road, Simon.
00:34:16That was a tremendous finish.
00:34:18It was.
00:34:19At a time where Celtic were desperate for that winner.
00:34:22Yeah, desperate.
00:34:22Desperate.
00:34:22The pressure was on.
00:34:24The stress levels were high.
00:34:25Absolutely.
00:34:26But he showed so much coolness.
00:34:28And he's a player I like watching.
00:34:29He's so clever with the ball.
00:34:32His technique's brilliant.
00:34:34He's got a football brain as well.
00:34:36I interviewed him on the pitch last week, Simon.
00:34:39Looks a bit of a character.
00:34:41He said his title win was so up there.
00:34:45I wonder how he's feeling about this one.
00:34:47Brilliant.
00:34:49He scored a perfect goal in the semi-final as well.
00:34:52Yeah, such an impact in the semi-final.
00:34:55Another goal at Hampden for him.
00:34:58I did fancy him for a goal.
00:35:01And Celtic have three on the day.
00:35:12No, it's not the story many wanted.
00:35:15Celtic lifting trophies at the end of the season.
00:35:17But it's a story that just always seems to happen.
00:35:21And it's not something that we tire of or the fans don't care about.
00:35:26This club loves winning.
00:35:28And that's why they don't take it too easy, you know.
00:35:32That's what they want.
00:35:33Yeah, take it for granted.
00:35:35Take it for granted.
00:35:36That's exactly what the World Cup was looking for, Simon.
00:35:38No, absolutely.
00:35:40And that was hinted at the title win last week.
00:35:45That it's just another win.
00:35:46It's not.
00:35:47Just another one.
00:35:49An important title again.
00:35:50Yeah.
00:35:51And they're going to take the double here.
00:35:59And that was Kieran Tierney.
00:36:06Trusty for Johnston.
00:36:09Martin O'Neill on the brink of a ninth trophy.
00:36:1421 years between his last Scottish Cup and this one.
00:36:2022 years between his last league title and the one last week.
00:36:26It's an incredible story, isn't it?
00:36:28Imagine telling Martin O'Neill at the start of this season.
00:36:31That's the fairytale.
00:36:32He would be managing the team to a double.
00:36:33That's the fairytale.
00:36:35It's just not the fairytale people wanted.
00:36:40Johnston just clears his lines.
00:36:41Dunfermline get the throw.
00:36:46It's going to be another change for...
00:36:51Dunfermline, Josh Cooper.
00:36:52Coming on for Andrew Todd.
00:36:56Sure, Andrew Todd will have a big future in the game.
00:37:14Ten or so minutes left.
00:37:18Just wonder if Celtic can add another goal.
00:37:25Good play from Kane to Rudden.
00:37:28Goes into the box.
00:37:30There's a chance here.
00:37:32And Dunfermline have a goal.
00:37:36And he's just on the pitch.
00:37:38That may be his first touch, Josh Cooper.
00:37:42And it's Celtic three.
00:37:44Dunfermline one.
00:37:45The clean sheet's gone for Celtic.
00:37:47There's an injury on the far side, it seems.
00:37:49Yeah, there was a collision in the build-up to the goal there,
00:37:52with Tierney on the far side.
00:37:53Don't really see what happened.
00:37:55As you watch it back here.
00:37:58And he looks onside from that angle.
00:38:01There's a collision there.
00:38:01And then they pull it back here, there's a really good block.
00:38:05And it just falls to the young kid at the back post.
00:38:08Well, Josh Cooper gets his goal.
00:38:13Seventh of the season for him.
00:38:16It gives the Dunfermline fans something to celebrate as Kieran Tierney
00:38:22get some treatment on the far side.
00:38:25And that'll be the disappointment that the clean sheet's gone, Simon.
00:38:28Yeah, and I thought the block there was going to keep the clean sheet,
00:38:33but it's just broke to Cooper at the back post.
00:38:36And he's got the easiest of tasks.
00:38:39Just on the park.
00:38:40Is that his first touch?
00:38:42Well, it might be.
00:38:46Celtic three, Dunfermline one.
00:38:50Tierney's still.
00:38:51Down.
00:38:52And that will be not good news for the Scotland national team.
00:39:01If Kieran Tierney has got an issue.
00:39:11And he wimps off.
00:39:14Yeah, it's just an innocuous.
00:39:16He catches the boot.
00:39:19Right, he toddled over that far side.
00:39:23Well, seems to be moving OK.
00:39:27Hopefully he gets his boot back on and he can come back.
00:39:38And I think Callum McGregor just giving some instructions to Tenecte as well as this game,
00:39:44just getting ready to restart.
00:39:47And it looks like Serrachi's getting ready to come on, so I suspect that will be it for Kieran Tierney.
00:39:52He is up and about, but I don't think Celtic will risk any further injury.
00:40:04Now, Boggs out of play.
00:40:05I think there was a bit of confusion if Kieran Tierney was back on the pitch.
00:40:09Certainly was Liam Skills.
00:40:10Tried to find him with the ball and he's off the pitch.
00:40:13The ball goes back out.
00:40:17There's Alfonso Mad.
00:40:19Just gets Dunfermline's tails up again.
00:40:22Nine, eight minutes to go.
00:40:25At Hampden Park.
00:40:27Celtic three.
00:40:29Dunfermline's one.
00:40:34Fraser.
00:40:39McGregor nods it down for Ian Acho.
00:40:42He looks for Oxlade-Chamberlain.
00:40:45Goes back to Oxford.
00:40:53And there's Shea Kearney.
00:41:02And Gwena moves it out to Robbie Fraser.
00:41:06Johnston puts the pressure on Josh Cooper.
00:41:12And Gwena does well, looks for Kane.
00:41:16Tenecte loses out.
00:41:18Here's Cooper.
00:41:19Already got a goal against Celtic this afternoon.
00:41:31Here's Kearney.
00:41:32Nineishman.
00:41:33Knocks it in.
00:41:34Goes as far as Gilmore.
00:41:37Fraser.
00:41:39Tierney heads it away.
00:41:41John McCormick on.
00:41:44Oxlade-Chamberlain heads it down.
00:41:47And Dunfermline are looking to put the cat amongst the pigeons here.
00:41:51Ball flashes across.
00:41:53It's good defending from Scales.
00:41:55And Dunfermline have a corner kick.
00:41:59Yeah, they do well just to keep the ball alive in and around that silky area.
00:42:06Good block there from Scales.
00:42:07And then the clearance from Tierney.
00:42:09They have to defend another corner.
00:42:19Ball comes in.
00:42:21It's headed on over the bar by Cholicoa Mullen.
00:42:24The captain of the day.
00:42:29And Saracci.
00:42:31About to enter the fray.
00:42:39And Kieran Tierney takes his final bow.
00:42:42At least he's walking.
00:42:44That's the main thing.
00:42:49He was replaced by Marcel Saracci.
00:42:52Who had such a positive impact when they came off the bench last week, Simon.
00:42:57Yeah, Dylan.
00:42:58I watched the game back.
00:42:59And that second goal.
00:43:01Huge responsibility took it in the left back area.
00:43:04Driving the ball forward.
00:43:06And then get involved in the final part of the play with a slide down the side for Osman.
00:43:11Huge contribution.
00:43:14Well, on loan might be his last appearance for Celtic.
00:43:19Who knows what the future holds for the Uruguayan.
00:43:22So he's got some time to have a big impact once again.
00:43:32Some treatment here.
00:43:36For the Finland players.
00:43:41It's Chris Kane.
00:43:43He's been in the wars since he came on.
00:43:45Chris Kane.
00:43:59And here Lennon just putting the numbers out of...
00:44:03What formation he wants.
00:44:05Don Fernland to play.
00:44:08Nielst.
00:44:09Kane looks to come back onto the pitch.
00:44:13John McCormann all the time to take it down.
00:44:18Kearney.
00:44:21Maeda nods it back.
00:44:24From Oxlade-Chamberlain.
00:44:27Skilled from England at Hampden Park.
00:44:30And he's done well there.
00:44:33Oh, he's switched the ball.
00:44:34Look for Ian Nacho.
00:44:35And Oxlade-Chamberlain just had to be springly to go out and get the ball.
00:44:41Yeah, he did.
00:44:41I thought he was trying to switch the plate to Nicky there, but all of a sudden...
00:44:44He held up.
00:44:46He actually was almost done.
00:44:54And there's Ruddin.
00:44:55Marshaled by Scales.
00:44:59And...
00:44:59Confirming when the throw...
00:45:08Maeda.
00:45:21Trusty on a yellow card after his wrestle match with Kane.
00:45:30Here's Maeda.
00:45:33Let's take Kearney on the run.
00:45:36And he wins.
00:45:37Celtic, the corner kick.
00:45:40Still willing to take the game to Denfermline there.
00:45:43Three minutes left on the clock.
00:45:45Still full of running.
00:45:46No surprises.
00:46:00Celtic wanting to get...
00:46:01A fourth goal in front of the Celtic fans, Ian Nacho.
00:46:06Got a goal at this side of...
00:46:08Half-time.
00:46:10And after Maeda and Engels...
00:46:12Got Celtic up to a 2-0 lead in the first half.
00:46:23Engels stands over this one.
00:46:30Flips the ball in.
00:46:32And it goes all the way through.
00:46:33No takers.
00:46:45To pick a Celtic player in the match, man of the match, Simon, who would it be?
00:46:50I think there's been no failures, to be honest, Dylan.
00:46:53I'll go with the little Japanese striker who had been firmly on edge from the minute the game started and
00:47:02the fine finish.
00:47:04Yeah, the 79th goal for Celtic.
00:47:06Possibly his last game for the club.
00:47:09Time will tell.
00:47:11Yeah, we'll see what the future holds, but if it is his final act then...
00:47:14He's been an unbelievable player for this club.
00:47:20And...
00:47:20He'll be so fondly remembered.
00:47:23But who knows what the future may hold.
00:47:26She said...
00:47:38Oxfra...
00:47:39Soraccia just has to be careful.
00:47:42And...
00:47:43Puts the ball out of play.
00:47:48As we tick towards 90 minutes on the clock...
00:47:56Ruddin gets a left-footed shot, and it trickles all the way through to Sanisalo.
00:48:15It's been a joy to watch that dugout,
00:48:18Neil Lennon is sitting on the water cooler at the minute.
00:48:21Martin O'Neill out there as well.
00:48:29Almost, as you said at the start of the game, Simon, a surreal image
00:48:34you never would have thought at the start of the season.
00:48:36Nobody could have envisaged the way this season has turned out.
00:48:43Four minutes added until Celtic can officially celebrate being the Scottish Cup winners.
00:48:57It's a good run again here from Cooper, Johnston, got to watch him all the way here.
00:49:05Gets on to the left foot, trusty, clears his lines.
00:49:10Fraser for Gilmour, Maeda cuts it out, and Iheanacho, he's onside!
00:49:17Can't collect it, Iheanacho!
00:49:20And you can see, Silla, that's good defending from Nguenna, in the end.
00:49:31Just ran out of legs there, Iheanacho.
00:49:33Yeah, he's just trying to get across his man, his body across, he just couldn't quite get there.
00:49:45Johnston hooks it away, only as far as Fraser.
00:49:51Armadi, and the Celtic fans, down the huddle, round the stadium.
00:49:59Brown's shaking.
00:50:02And this old stadium beginning to shake.
00:50:09And party mode has been activated amongst the Celtic fans.
00:50:15What a week, what two weeks it's been from that Rangers game all the way through.
00:50:20Been a fine, fine end to the season.
00:50:24It's been a Celtic end to the season, Simon.
00:50:27Yeah, and it's another double winning end to the season.
00:50:31That man at the helm, standing in the technical area.
00:50:34Ready to celebrate with his staff and the players.
00:50:41And of course, every Celtic fan inside this stadium.
00:50:52Cholicoa Mullan.
00:50:56A minute and a half left of Celtic's season.
00:51:01Here's Iheanacho, it's a time for another goal.
00:51:05And it'll go all the way through to Tenecte.
00:51:07Can he keep it in play, the Tunisian?
00:51:10He does.
00:51:12Goes into the box.
00:51:13Celtic looking for that fourth.
00:51:16Well defended from Nguena.
00:51:18Once again, he's been impressive from what he's had to deal with.
00:51:22Here's Tenecte.
00:51:28Floats the ball in, looks for Maeda.
00:51:30Here's Sorachi.
00:51:33Well, it just evaded Dyson Maeda in the end there.
00:51:38Sorachi arrived as well.
00:51:40But it just would have been so appropriate for Dyson Maeda to get that finishing touch.
00:51:44Yeah, Tenecte just hangs it to the back.
00:51:47And then Sorachi comes in, his eyes must have looked up,
00:51:50thinking he was going to get the chance to put it in the back of the net,
00:51:53just over the bar.
00:51:54Just lifting it here, trying to pick out Maeda.
00:52:04He's headed on, scales, hooks it, high into the Hamden sky.
00:52:10And the Nacho...
00:52:15As the fans just wait on Stephen McLean...
00:52:21To put the whistle to his mouth, and he does.
00:52:26And that's full-time.
00:52:30Martin O'Neill shakes the hand of a man that meant so much to him,
00:52:35Neil Lennon, from the title triumph at Celtic Park last week.
00:52:45The Premiership title secured.
00:52:48The Scottish Cup secured.
00:52:52The double has been completed, Simon.
00:52:55Yeah, fabulous finish to the season with this group of players.
00:52:59So many setbacks this season.
00:53:01Ups and downs that they've had to fight back from.
00:53:05People saying that the league had run away from.
00:53:08Celtic many a time this season, and they just kept fighting back to win seven on the bounce.
00:53:14And cap it with this Scottish Cup final today.
00:53:16Absolutely fabulous.
00:53:17You have won every single game since that defeat at Tanadice,
00:53:22where many were putting the nails into the coffin of Celtic season.
00:53:27And they've only went and walked away with a double.
00:53:31It's not what people wanted, but it's what the Celtic fans and everybody connected with the club wanted.
00:53:37Celtic have won the Scottish Cup for the 43rd time in their history.
00:53:42Simon, you were a winner back in 1995.
00:53:46It's been a sweet way to win these competitions this season.
00:53:50And a great way for Martin O'Neill as well to win them.
00:53:54But how special is all this?
00:53:57This is the days that I think this season in particular will struggle to forget the way it's went.
00:54:04You know, chasing hearts down for so long and overtaking them at the last minute.
00:54:11Or with three minutes to go.
00:54:13And then taking a double, as I say, with Martin O'Neill leading with his staff.
00:54:21It's just been an incredible season, Dylan.
00:54:23Written off many a time, as you say, the Dundee United game.
00:54:27Remember Hibbs at Celtic Park as well.
00:54:30There were times there where they were written off.
00:54:32People were saying Celtic weren't even going to get fourth place in this league.
00:54:36They walked away with a double.
00:54:38Absolutely.
00:54:39Martin O'Neill just down there with Mark Fotheringham.
00:54:43I have to say, credit to Neil Lennon and his side.
00:54:47That second half, they really came out and gave Celtic a game.
00:54:50Yeah, look, look, the competitive edges there.
00:54:52Lenny's a fighter, he's a winner.
00:54:56And he changed it at half-time and it was a positive effect on their team.
00:55:01They gave Celtic a little bit.
00:55:03Stopped that continuous flow towards a goal, which was the story of the first half.
00:55:08And they've popped up with a goal at the end there as well.
00:55:11But a lot better in the second half from Dunferno.
00:55:15What about Martin O'Neill, Simon?
00:55:17Like, at 74 years of age, he said last week on the pitch he's got a reason to live again.
00:55:24And this is it, isn't it?
00:55:25Oh, it's incredible.
00:55:26I was in his company two or three weeks before the end of the season.
00:55:32And I asked him how things were going and he said stressful, very stressful.
00:55:37That was maybe three games to go in the title.
00:55:40Just before the Rangers game, in fact.
00:55:43What he's achieved here, his leadership skills, his management skills, getting the best out of this group of players has
00:55:50been phenomenal.
00:55:50Credit to his staff as well, Sean Maloney, Fozzie, McManus, Stevie Woods, they've all been excellent.
00:55:57Gavin Strachan as well.
00:55:58Gavin Strachan.
00:55:59Yep.
00:55:59They've been brilliant, they really have.
00:56:01And as I say, reinvigorated that 74-year-old who's now steered Celtic to another double, another title, 20-odd
00:56:10years since he's worked.
00:56:11It's just an incredible story.
00:56:13It really is.
00:56:14Well, 21 years ago, he walked round this pitch after Celtic defeated Dundee United.
00:56:21He held the trophy high and it was almost a bittersweet moment, you know, that Martin was leaving the club
00:56:27and the next step was obviously Gordon Strachan coming in.
00:56:32He just didn't know at that point what was next after such a period of success, but given what happened
00:56:38on the last day of the league season that year,
00:56:41now winning the cup this year, winning the league, he's really put a lid on all of that now and
00:56:47what a way to return to the club and become a winner once again.
00:56:51Football serves up some fascinating stories at times.
00:56:57This is up there.
00:56:59This is up there with him coming back and winning this double.
00:57:02Unbelievable.
00:57:03And he had a legacy at the club, you know, so much success.
00:57:07The pressure was on for him to come back.
00:57:10It wasn't just a case of coming back.
00:57:12He had to come back and win.
00:57:13That's what's demanded at this club.
00:57:15He knows that.
00:57:16He knows what it takes.
00:57:18And it's another unbelievable achievement.
00:57:20Well, they call him St Martin.
00:57:22I think that's because he can provide miracles at times.
00:57:27And that time earlier in the season, Simon, especially Tanadice, I was there.
00:57:33It just looked like potentially that was it.
00:57:35But you listen to these players and that management team, they never stopped believing.
00:57:40They didn't.
00:57:41And how many times have they popped up the late goals this season as well?
00:57:44I mean, eight, nine, ten times.
00:57:46It's incredible.
00:57:47They just went to the death.
00:57:49I remember the goal of Araujo down at Rugby Park as well.
00:57:52They just refused to give up.
00:57:53You think about in this competition as well, Simon.
00:57:56Adamu.
00:57:57Adamu in the 95th minute.
00:57:59I know he's not played much.
00:58:01But what a moment.
00:58:02That kept Celtic alive in that cup.
00:58:05It did.
00:58:05He scored plenty extra time to secure it.
00:58:08It's been a story of that all season.
00:58:11I think they'll all need a lie down after this one.
00:58:14Absolutely.
00:58:15Well, Dunfermline, they head up the steps.
00:58:18They've played their part and they've been absolutely magnificent themselves in this cup competition.
00:58:25And they'll rightfully take the applause of many around this stadium, including the Celtic fans.
00:58:30They beat Hibbs.
00:58:31They beat the holders, Aberdeen.
00:58:33And they beat John McGlynn's very highly rated Falkirk team as well in the semi-finals on penalties.
00:58:40They won't lift the cup.
00:58:42Their story does have to continue.
00:58:441968 was the last time Dunfermline lifted the old famous trophy.
00:58:49That weight will continue.
00:58:51They are a club on the rise, for sure.
00:58:55And with Neil Lennon at the helm, you really wouldn't put them past entering into the Scottish Premiership at one
00:59:00point.
00:59:00No, I think that'll be his intention to build on this season.
00:59:03Narrowly missed out on the playoffs.
00:59:07And to get to another major final, fantastic achievement for them.
00:59:11Celtic fans paying tribute to the former player, former captain and former manager of such success, Neil Lennon.
00:59:22This place is cemented in Celtic's history as well.
00:59:26The manager of a quadruple treble winning team.
00:59:30And he takes the applause of the full stadium home.
00:59:34Fans for him, Dunfermline.
00:59:37And the fans that have been a big, big part of his career.
00:59:41The Celtic supporters.
00:59:43And everybody's favourite part now, Simon.
00:59:45It's the referees.
00:59:46They go up to get their medals.
00:59:48And they're getting a warm, a warm welcome.
00:59:52It was a straight-forward game for the officials, I must admit.
00:59:56Yeah, it was.
00:59:59It was.
01:00:01Fans round the stadium singing the name of Celtic's legendary manager, Martin Anil.
01:00:11And Celtic needed somebody to come in and steady the ship this season.
01:00:15He had no hesitation.
01:00:17Not once, but twice answered the call, Simon.
01:00:20And he's delivered Celtic.
01:00:22The only thing he knows is success.
01:00:23Yes, yeah.
01:00:24That in itself.
01:00:25Not once, but twice.
01:00:27Came into the club after Brendan Rodgers.
01:00:30Then, obviously, he'd probably have thought himself,
01:00:33that's me, did my bit.
01:00:34And then things didn't go well under Nancy,
01:00:38and suddenly the call was back out to Martin
01:00:41to come back in and do it all over again.
01:00:44Just did it brilliantly.
01:00:45The green and white ribbons are on the cup.
01:00:47Martin O'Neill said he had to drop his coffee on the Kings Road,
01:00:52but the only cup that he will care about now
01:00:54is the Scottish Cup after lifting the 56th league title in Celtic's history.
01:01:00As Celtic begin to make the walk up to the hand and steps
01:01:07that they've done so much, Simon.
01:01:09And it never tires, it never gets boring.
01:01:12It's not just another win, it's not just another cup,
01:01:15it's just not another trophy.
01:01:17This club is all about making history, making moments, making memories,
01:01:21and they're about to do it again.
01:01:23The Celtic team walking up.
01:01:25Callum McGregor just waits behind.
01:01:29As he makes another walk, a special moment for him.
01:01:33His cup final ended in tears last year.
01:01:35It ends in jubilation this year.
01:01:38Well, that's exactly at that point there with ending in tears last year.
01:01:42You know, it isn't just another win.
01:01:44It just encourages you to fight on and try and win again.
01:01:50He's been so successful, as you say, up until last year,
01:01:53hadn't lost a final here.
01:01:55So the hunger's there, the desire's there to go and do it again,
01:01:57which is needed at this club.
01:01:59And there's guys there walking up that stair that have done it
01:02:02time and time again.
01:02:03My heart is well and surely off to them.
01:02:10The Celtic fans wait with bated breath.
01:02:18As Callum McGregor just follows the manager.
01:02:22Martin O'Neill up the steps.
01:02:29And all the Celtic players have come off the steps.
01:02:40And there's Callum McGregor.
01:02:48It's going to be a slight break from tradition from Callum McGregor.
01:02:54I think the players are going to take it over to the podium.
01:03:00Maybe that's so everybody in the stadium can see the team lift the trophy.
01:03:11He's got the trophy in his hands, the captain.
01:03:15His 26th trophy as a Celtic player.
01:03:19Try telling him this gets boring.
01:03:29He wants everybody in for the moment.
01:03:33Celtic!
01:03:34Celtic!
01:03:36Scottish Cup winners!
01:03:38Celtic!
01:03:39Double winners!
01:03:45From the title triumph in paradise last week
01:03:49to the glory, the fireworks at Hampden Park.
01:03:52Celtic have completed a memorable double.
01:04:02Celtic!
01:04:02Fabulous.
01:04:03I'm just looking for Martin there.
01:04:05In amongst that.
01:04:08I see him at the back.
01:04:09He's at the back.
01:04:10Looking at the back seat.
01:04:13Fabulous again for Celtic.
01:04:15These are the scenes that we're so accustomed to these days.
01:04:20So used to.
01:04:21But never tired of.
01:04:23Everybody wants this moment.
01:04:25But this is Celtic's moment.
01:04:29Celtic are double winners.
01:04:31And it's the fairytale ending that this season deserved.
01:04:37Celtic!
01:04:38Champions of Scotland.
01:04:39Scottish Cup winners.
01:04:43Double winners.
01:04:45Brilliant scenes round Hampden Park.
01:04:48Every fan in here, Simon.
01:04:51With their phones in the air, hugging their family, their friends around them.
01:04:55This doesn't get old.
01:04:58And I tell you what, the only thing that breeds winning more is winning.
01:05:02And these players will want to do it again.
01:05:05Yeah, they've epitomised it again this season with what they've achieved.
01:05:08I think you're telling me this guy's in the air is 10th.
01:05:11Yep, it's his 10th trophy, Simon.
01:05:13And his time at the club.
01:05:14You know, these guys are serial winners in recent times.
01:05:18None more so than the skipper.
01:05:20James Forrest.
01:05:22Kieran Tierney back at the club.
01:05:24Winning a double.
01:05:26Fantastic.
01:05:30Oh, Martin Aneil just sharing a word with Sean Maloney.
01:05:34At times they had to dig deep.
01:05:36But they always believed that Celtic would end the season.
01:05:43As they are with the trophy.
01:05:47Kelechi Iannaccio's got the trophy currently.
01:05:49It took a lot to get it off him last week.
01:05:51Yeah.
01:05:52I think it will be the same this week.
01:05:54What a finish.
01:05:55What a goal.
01:05:55What a goal it was.
01:05:58And he gets a picture with Benjamin Negrin.
01:06:0220-odd goals this season.
01:06:06Celtic player of the year.
01:06:09A fantastic signing.
01:06:11What an impact.
01:06:13A Swede doing it for Martin Aneil.
01:06:15We've seen it before.
01:06:17And what a joy it's been to see it again.
01:06:21What do you think Martin's thinking in all this Simon?
01:06:23I do not know.
01:06:24Relief maybe.
01:06:26Relief maybe.
01:06:26Relief that the job's done.
01:06:27He can go and relax for a few days.
01:06:32I really don't know what's next.
01:06:35Well we'll soon find out hopefully what the future holds.
01:06:40Should have been enjoying a nice glass of red tonight.
01:06:43That's for sure.
01:06:44That's what he said last week.
01:06:45He was going to find how his body could cope.
01:06:47Yeah.
01:06:48He'll be doing the same again tonight.
01:06:49No doubt.
01:06:51Well of course we'll get all the post-match reaction from Hampden Park.
01:06:58Including the manager and the captain.
01:07:02On another memorable day at Hampden Park.
01:07:06The players just taking in the scenes.
01:07:09I'm sure there'll be a lap of honour as well.
01:07:13We applaud all the fans that have stuck with them all the way.
01:07:17I know the players were saying last week Simon.
01:07:19How incredible the fans were in getting them over the line.
01:07:23Yeah.
01:07:24Listen, I thought throughout the season no doubt.
01:07:27But the Rangers game at Celtic Park the other week.
01:07:29The atmosphere was tremendous.
01:07:31And it was at that business end where you couldn't make any mistakes.
01:07:36And everybody just came together.
01:07:38The right time.
01:07:40The team found form at the right time.
01:07:42Getting into that home straight.
01:07:43Seven wins on the bounce.
01:07:45And then today it's just been a perfect finish to what has been an unforgettable season.
01:07:51Well Sebastian Tonek is the man with the trophy.
01:07:55Benjamin Negrin gets his hands on it again.
01:07:59A brilliant day for everyone connected with Celtic.
01:08:04I'm sure you're celebrating wherever you are in the world as well.
01:08:11That's been a really sweet ending to the season.
01:08:16Young Colby Donovan not in the squad today.
01:08:19He's got his hands on the trophy.
01:08:24A brilliant moment for Martin O'Neill.
01:08:29He'll lofted that trophy around the pitch 21 years ago.
01:08:35Saying farewell.
01:08:37And he thought that was the end of his Celtic story.
01:08:39But as we know, Simon, the Celtic story never ends, doesn't it?
01:08:43It can always come back.
01:08:44Yeah, but I don't think anybody would have expected this tale.
01:08:50But what a story it is.
01:08:53As I say, unforgettable.
01:08:55Everybody will remember this double-winning team led by the man himself, Martin O'Neill.
01:09:10Every fan still here in the stadium.
01:09:15And he'll never walk alone, about to be sung in the stadium.
01:09:21I think in this moment, Simon, it's just best to be silent and listen to the fans sing their song.
01:09:28Be in the rain of the night.
01:09:37At the end of the sun.
01:09:43There is a golden sky.
01:09:49And this is the one that is not the gain.
01:09:53And this leaves will go back.
01:09:56I broke the cruc after the opening.
01:10:16I desire to be with me.
01:10:19Jesus, I'm Lord, O God, O God,
01:10:33O God, O God, O God, O God,
01:11:06O God, O God, O God,
01:11:33O God, O God, O God, O God,
01:12:06O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God,
01:12:08O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God,
01:12:08O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God,
01:12:09O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God,
01:12:13O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God,
01:12:14O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God,
01:12:14O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God, O God,
01:12:22O God, O God, O God, O God, O
01:12:32and he's away with ten winners' medals, it's phenomenal.
01:12:36I think he surpasses the other two Japanese guys, for me, he's been amazing.
01:12:44A lot of many Celtic fans, they think back to Swinski Nakamura,
01:12:49who opened the door for these guys to come over to the Cobb.
01:12:56And Tyson Maeda, taking the applause of the Celtic fans,
01:13:00he's so modest in all the ways he is,
01:13:05but he's almost embarrassed by the adulation that he's got.
01:13:12His work ethic is unbelievable, he's such a team player,
01:13:16and he's been like that from the minute he came in.
01:13:19You know, tirelessly working for the team, must be a joy as a team-mate.
01:13:23Yeah, I know he was a bit modest last week,
01:13:26but Martin O'Neill lifts the trophy in front of the Celtic fans,
01:13:31what a sight that is!
01:13:34He instilled the mentality that was needed, he answered the call.
01:13:40Martin O'Neill is a double winner once again at Celtic.
01:13:50Hamden bathed in sunshine, the green and white ribbons on the trophy once again.
01:14:09Celtic fans sign in adulation to Martin O'Neill.
01:14:22such a legendary figure
01:14:25second only to Jockstein
01:14:27in many Celtic fans' eyes
01:14:31he's won the lot
01:14:32he took Celtic to a European final
01:14:35managed the King of Kings
01:14:38and then came back
01:14:39almost two decades later
01:14:42and helped Celtic when they needed
01:14:45the help the most
01:14:50a group photo here Simon
01:14:53moments like this are just fantastic
01:14:55this is what you strive for
01:14:57this is what you've worked so hard
01:14:58pre-season
01:14:59putting all the hours in
01:15:02for moments like this
01:15:05see the old Hattati there on the side as well
01:15:09Kelechi looking cool as ever
01:15:11he likes a celebration I think
01:15:18brilliant scenes at Hamden
01:15:23as I said
01:15:26everybody wanted other winners but
01:15:30Celtic came
01:15:33to the top when it mattered the most
01:15:39and Martin O'Neill celebrating
01:15:42with the backroom
01:15:43and with it wouldn't all be possible
01:15:46without
01:15:52brilliant work from all involved over there Simon
01:15:55yeah and I watched Anniacho there encouraging the backroom staff to go and take a bow
01:16:05there he is
01:16:08Fozzie lifts the trophy
01:16:10that's one of the biggest roars a trophy lift's got this afternoon
01:16:14seems a character
01:16:16energy
01:16:17infectious in that dressing room
01:16:20Stevie Woods as well
01:16:25Stephen McMahon is former captain he knows all about winning the title
01:16:29on the last day of the season
01:16:32knows about winning the Scottish Cup as well
01:16:38Hamden in green and white
01:16:40it's a terrific sight
01:16:47the celebrations will continue long into the night
01:17:10Martin O'Neill making sure everybody's in the pick shot
01:17:21holding the trophy
01:17:23is Gavin Strachan
01:17:32but a ninth trophy for Martin O'Neill
01:17:35fantastic
01:17:38what a manager he's been
01:17:40as I said the mentality monster Simon
01:17:43they had to be
01:17:46they had to be really
01:17:47dig deep didn't they in those months
01:17:50and you think back to last week
01:17:52five minutes before the game ends
01:17:54and it was
01:17:55just a reflection on the season
01:17:57the way they finished last week
01:17:59they were going to the death
01:18:02and getting late goals again
01:18:03that will get you over the line
01:18:05they've been doing that for so long
01:18:07but
01:18:08there's little bits of criticism and setbacks throughout the season
01:18:11to go and win the last seven back to back
01:18:14especially after the split
01:18:16you know
01:18:17first part difficult place
01:18:19Easter Road
01:18:19the two games with Rangers and Hearts at home
01:18:23to go and win them
01:18:24after the season that
01:18:26they've been through
01:18:28it was unbelievable
01:18:30at the business end
01:18:31and then to cap it off today
01:18:33a fine performance
01:18:36first half
01:18:37went all Celtics way
01:18:38and Furman had a little bit in the second half
01:18:40and then a fantastic goal for Miniacho
01:18:42just to cap it all off
01:18:44yeah that was
01:18:45I mean all three goals
