02:00I think if they could press a wee bit more, especially with a sticky pitch when Celtic want to play these short passes, Carter Vickers has fell over one.
02:06There might be a chance there if they could go.
02:08Yeah, so there you have it. Celtic with the advantage so far. Let's see how the second half unfolds with Michael Stewart and Rory Hamilton.
02:15Thank you, Emma. So St Mirren, Motherwell and Rangers have already got their name in the draw for the Premier Sports Cup semi-finals.
02:26Celtic's name right now is in pencil and they will look to firm that up in this second half.
02:34To become the fourth and final team. Let's go into the draw. Which will take place after this game.
02:43Heading back to Hamden.
02:47He's in from Ashcroft up the line.
03:09There's Samuel, the half-time substitute. Scales stabbing out a leg and Hattati looks for Tunectic.
03:21Iheanacho in the middle. Yang trying to make up ground. Tunectic against Ashcroft cuts in. On the right, Iheanacho. Lovely lay-off. Tunectic! What a wonderful goal that is from Celtic.
03:33What a wonderful goal that is from Celtic.
03:39Tunectic. Tunectic. Iheanacho connected. And the opening minute produces a third goal for Celtic and they're breezing Partick Thistle away.
03:53And it also produces another moment of quality from Tunectic. Look again. I said it in the first half. He cuts inside but he's still penetrating.
04:03He's not looking to just drift along the edge of the box and play it out the other side. It's into the front man. A 1-2 in behind and a clinical finish.
04:11That's a wonderful goal. Right at the start of the second half. It also highlights that quality from Iheanacho. The link-up play. The awareness.
04:23Which can be a real attribute for Celtic. Troubling times though for Mark Wilson in terms of the team talk at half-time.
04:31I would imagine. Look, it's 2-0. Let's try and get the next one and put a bit of pressure on. Unfortunately, it's not 2-1. It's 3-0.
04:42You can't really see a way back for Partick Thistle now.
04:45Sebastian Tunectic scoring his first goal and that's just his second appearance for Celtic since that move from Hammerby.
04:55And that's, although the timing of it was a little late, seems to be an astute bit of business and you can see the protest continuing from the Celtic supporters.
05:08Naming the moments, the teams that have etched themselves into Celtic's history as those that have knocked the club out in qualifiers.
05:23Years that Champions League football wasn't secured for Celtic. Names such as Ark Media, Bratislava, Ferencvaros, Kluge.
05:34And adding to that, of course, front and centre, Kairat Almaty from just a couple of weeks ago.
05:41And look, Cody, you know, football, you're never going to be able to predict. It's not an exact science. You're never going to have 100% success.
05:53There are going to be occasions where it comes up short and some of those European Champions League qualifiers, irrespective of whatever the board had done, they might well have lost.
06:04But you can understand there's too many in there. Too many with a recurring theme of transfers in that summer window not happening soon enough.
06:14This season, Kairat and Tunechte are a perfect example of that. He's in, he looks a real find, but he should have been in weeks and weeks and weeks ago.
06:26Oh, and you take out the years when Celtic have had direct qualification to the Champions League.
06:34You add in the years when they've had to qualify. Their qualification record is pretty woeful.
06:41And it's something that they're going to have to get right because Scotland's coefficient is in a rather dire situation right now.
06:50And if Celtic are to add more Premiership titles, they will go into those qualification rounds again.
06:58It's not getting any easier.
07:11And will Brendan Rodgers be the man that's leading them into those games?
07:17He obviously came out and spoke that he would 100% be open to extending his state.
07:23But I would imagine there's quite a few concerns that he would want to be getting alleviated and eliminated before he did such that.
07:36Oh, and also, big questions over his relationship with certain members on the board.
07:49Well, it's not a secret, is it?
07:51No, he's spoken openly about it.
07:54Yeah, and I think, obviously, the club source that came out with the, you know, quotes,
08:05talking about how he knew the deal when he came back to the club and that he's been trying to work his way out ever since.
08:14I think that's far from helpful and a little bit sleeky, to be perfectly honest.
08:21So you can understand from the manager's perspective that he's not best pleased with that.
08:25So it's Chammers.
08:46And across looking for Samuel Stanway wins it on the edge of the area.
08:51A lot to do, Stanway rifles the shot, but over the top.
08:55No, it's another shot that's over there, the crossbar from the edge of the box down at this end.
09:07There's been quite a few of them, shooting practice, just not hitting the target.
09:11A little bit like the fans here, the linesman's the target, but they keep missing.
09:16Who would be an assist referee here?
09:35Ashcroft does well.
09:40New nuocus.
09:41No Harry Reading.
09:46Forward to Chalmers.
09:49O'Reilly.
09:51New nuocus.
09:53New nuocus.
09:57New nuocus.
10:07Mark Wilson's contemplating a couple of changes, O'Reilly, it's Donovans, the Tate won't
10:35pick this one up for Celtic, holds off O'Reilly, does well to link with Donovan, Iheanacho shows,
10:44Iheanacho on the left foot with power, strong save low down by Budanoukis.
10:51That's a really good save from the keeper isn't it, because he strikes it well, Iheanacho,
10:58you can always tell he wants to shift onto the left foot, it's through the defender's legs,
11:03Budanoukis comes up with a really important save there, because at 3-0, it's very difficult
11:09to see a way back for Partick Thistle, but if it turns 4 already, you start to get concerned
11:13about what would it end up at, and the impact that that could have on Partick Thistle in the next few weeks.
11:23It's going to be a double change as Robbie Crawford heads off, as does Cammie Logan and O'Sheen Smith and Kyle
11:33Turner are the two to come on for Mark Wilson's side.
11:37Well, I was half expecting O'Sheen Smith to start the game, he came on on Friday, and did very well, and he's a player that I like anyway, from St Mirren.
11:51Very good on the ball, he's got a good range of passing, but here he is, he's got over half an hour to try and have an impact on the game anyway.
12:05And Salmono to chase that, and he is quick, Sinisalo to Scales giving away, Stanway, and then McGregor, important ball winning Stanway, then gives away the free kick against the Celtic skipper.
12:21All right.
12:22Pleasing in me today...
12:23.
12:32.. playground.
12:34.
12:39Then the scores for Oregon again.
12:42A big逃落, towards Gwixки, 13 degrees.
12:46белling gol緊 in gallucosah, looking at convert to Gwixkwilwiki again...
12:50quickly and Celtic at times have looked a little uneasy passing it about in the back and it won't
12:56be a very comfortable all-round 90 minutes for Brendan Rodgers side but it's been a couple of moments
13:03Yeah I think that's a fair comment there has been a couple just in the last minute or so as well the
13:08one where Scales flicked it trying to get to Donovan it was nowhere near and Stanaway picked it up
13:13and then that one there where Scales almost getting blocked by Assosa
13:20Itate, Nigren, Iannaccio in the middle, Yang to the right, it's Yang
13:26O'Reilly doing enough to help that back to his goalkeeper
13:34Well it's a very comfortable performance from Celtic and it's these wide areas
13:39that we're getting in behind the defence and it's causing problems as it always does when you get
13:43into those areas I've obviously spoken at length about the left-hand side and how effective that's
13:49been but that one down the right with Yang
13:55Brendan Rodgers preparing a change Carlo Bernardo getting stripped
14:14Well no huge surprise because you're thinking to yourself that
14:17that Thursday away in Belgrade I don't expect that starting line-up to have too many changes to it
14:30and this game is comfortable 3-0 very good so you'll be thinking he'll be wanting to try to get
14:38some subs made and rest up a few of the guys
14:45It's Tunecti, Iannaccio, Turner losing out to Tunecti and eventually Partick Thistle do survive
14:54Look he's a good football player and you can just tell that he's going to have a real impact at Celtic
15:02plenty of the ball wants to go and make things happen dangerous in the final third and as the game's evolved
15:10I think the link up with the Iannaccio as well as look good the two of them looking for each other
15:16looking to try and play one-twos
15:20it's a blossoming relationship not just down the left-hand side but with the the winger and the striker there
15:26Chalmers gets a second attempt at it in from Reading great header
15:34and saved by Sinisalo who's determined to keep a clean sheet
15:42Good play from Partick Thistle wonderful ball in from Reading and
15:46good run across the the front there
15:48Great save there from Miljami Sinisalo
15:54We're back with you on Celtic TV commentary
15:57Celtic 3-0 up thanks to Sebastian Tenetke's first goal for the hoops
16:04Well some supporters will uh try any such way to see the hoops
16:13and they've seen a top quality performance this afternoon but Partick Thistle have a corner
16:20on the far side
16:23to be swung in by Logan Chalmers
16:32and it comes from Chalmers so so
16:36Jami Sinisalo just came a little bit uh too early for that one over
16:41his outstretched arm but behind for a goal kick
16:45Killian Sheridan it's a thankless task now for Partick Thistle
16:49but it looks like Brendan Rodgers is going to make a triple change
16:51Yeah I think so I think it's uh once that they got the third goal
16:56I think you know that that's kind of the game wrapped up
16:58um Dihe Nacho coming off to a a good reception done great for the for the goal lovely little flick to
17:05to Tenetke um but even there's Sinisalo with a great save where it's a game where he won't have
17:11have had much to do so it's important for him to to be alert and on his toes and
17:15and he was there ready for it so um yeah good chance for the subs coming on now to
17:20to show something in a game it's it's it's the perfect situation to come on to a game where you're
17:253-0 up you know the other team is is a little bit defeated morally so it's a
17:31a real chance for them to to maybe add a few more to this
17:35Yeah Paulo Bernardo we've not seen much of him this season Dyson Maeda well we know what to expect from him
17:45Palakwisha coming on as well
17:47this will have on the left wing
18:01ball play then
18:02player goes down referee looks at it
18:05will be out his decision is final
18:07I think it's always telling the the players reactions no not one Parthic Crystal player really
18:13really looking for anything there so look to be a good good time tackle from from Liam Scales
18:17also if you're the if you're the Parthic centre-halves I think the last thing you want to see
18:26in a game like this when you've been defending you'll be tired all game is Dyson Maeda coming on
18:31especially in the day when when Celtic are playing it in behind and under stretching the back four
18:36yeah Brendan Rodgers taking an opportunity to
18:39to use the uh the squad and perhaps rest some players there is always the danger that you bring
18:44on a player especially in an unusually sticky surface that
18:47injuries can can happen unnecessarily so I'm sure he'll be uh
18:53just hoping that that isn't the case this afternoon with some of his important players like
18:57Dyson Maeda with this game already put to bed oh that was uh not sure what VAR would have made of that one
19:03Killian yeah might have given him a another look at it but uh I think ultimately the referee didn't
19:10give it and days like today he he has the final say quite right to it unless he's just gotten used to
19:15to not having to make decisions with VAR but that's another issue maybe forgotten that VAR wasn't there
19:23so Ben Stanway is off
19:30Mark Wilson tries to make the changes that will spark his team into life but it's a thankless task for
19:37the third hillside three goals down Celtic have a corner
19:43short one taken there between Negrin and Balakwisha not quite sure that was uh
19:49in the plans but Celtic still have it Bernardo
19:56back to Tierney now Hatate Tierney that can be the problem with short intricate corners on a surface
20:05like that every pass that's been played has to really be really be hit and on a surface like this
20:11when it can just bubble up a little bit on it it completely completely alters the
20:17the position that or the direction that the ball is going to go in
20:24but again that's maybe that's i think four or five different corner routines that Celtic have tried
20:30today that it's something they've clearly been working on and like even from from Partic's point
20:35of view they'll be when you're playing teams like this you're you always fancy yourself on on set
20:41pieces corners free kicks so for them to lose a goal from a corner they'll they'll be pretty pretty
20:47upset i would imagine yeah four or five different corner routines and ironically the one that worked best
20:53was a simple old-fashioned cross and a header well i wouldn't say the header was that
20:58too no no no no good old-fashioned traditional corner just getting it into the box yeah i know
21:07i know
21:18Tierney leaves that one for Sinisalo
21:24oh again the ball just holds up in the surface as Tierney loses possession gives that one away
21:29so this will now work it out to Chalmers right foot driven cross
21:42yeah i was expecting him to to cut in on his left foot there
21:45nope Celtic just need to be careful there scales and Sinisalo exchanging short passes
22:00nice and made that push to the ground there
22:02so just to remind you the draw for the semi-final will take place
22:21after this match so it won't be long after full time before we see which teams will be
22:26in the semi-final at Hampden Park weekend of the first and second of November
22:4065 minutes gone
22:5660 minutes gone
23:15yeah
23:21um
23:26Celtic are preparing Arne Engels
23:32Final 25 minutes of this game
23:48Donovan
23:57Scales
24:00Tuning to Balakwisha
24:03Bit of a heavy touch
24:05From the Belgian
24:26Bernardo
24:30And then Carter Vickers
24:32The Rangers starting to come down the Maryhill
24:48Here's the tatty, we understand it will be
24:51Japanese midfielder who is to be replaced
24:55This is Yang
24:57Threes up the space for the left-footed strike
24:59Then the right
25:00And rifled over the top
25:02From Pugin Yang
25:12Tenacious play from Yang
25:14Then a ferocious strike but
25:17A couple of feet over the bar
25:19Arne Engels comes on
25:20Gets another opportunity
25:22The try-in
25:23Forces went to the side
25:25He's been
25:27Spending a fair bit of time this campaign on the bench
25:30Negrin's come in and
25:33Made that
25:35That role
25:36His
25:37I've got to say
25:38And done very well so far
25:40So for Arne Engels
25:41He's got to
25:43When he's on the park
25:45Take the opportunities to try to work his way back into the
25:48Starting 11
25:49He has only started three times this season
25:57Was an unused sub
25:58At Rugby Park
26:02Maida applying some pressure there on Stevie Lawless
26:05Caliquisha
26:06Tierney
26:07Bernardo
26:08I think that is the interesting thing with the investment that Celtic did make in the playing squad
26:19Last summer
26:20Last summer
26:22With Bernardo and
26:23Trusty
26:25And Engels
26:27A big outlay
26:28And three players who
26:30Can't find their way into the starting 11 this season
26:32Yeah I mean look that's a valid point and it's a good counter if you say well spent it and it didn't work so my counter to that would be well okay what do you do then just don't try
26:39You know it makes no sense
26:40It's not a reason to not recruit it's to make your recruitment better
26:41Exactly
26:42I mean so that is a concern or that the recruitment appears to have not been
26:44Strong enough to have an impact in the starting 11
26:45But these are guys that are starting 11
26:46But these are guys that are starting 11
26:47But these are guys that are starting 11
26:48That are starting 11
26:49For the starting 11 this season
26:50Yeah I mean look that's a valid point and it's you know it's a good counter if you say
26:51Well spent it and it didn't work so my counter to that would be well okay what do you do then just don't try
26:57You know it makes no sense
26:59It's not a reason to not recruit it's to make your recruitment better
27:02Exactly
27:03I mean so that is a concern or that the recruitment appears to have not been strong enough to have an impact in the starting 11
27:12But these are guys that are still worth something you know you might have to sort of cut a loss slightly
27:19But the overall picture is very healthy as we wanted to support what we sell down
27:24As Adamida has shown you know they might have had a little bit of a loss there
27:29But they've still brought in vastly superior numbers elsewhere
27:35So they're net positive
27:38To go with the large chunk of cash sitting in Anka already
27:50Further changes to come Luke Macbeth is coming on for Lee Ashcroft
28:08So the skipper makes way
28:17Recently he's just lost his place in the Team Macbeth
28:20So
28:21Having to make do with game time off the bench
28:24And Luke McCown
28:26Comes on to replace Benjamin Negrin
28:29Luke McCown who scored here in a 3-2 victory for United six years ago
28:41Run away by Ingles
28:51Good ball from Chalmers into it
28:54Let's Sosa, keeps it alive
28:56Ingles, space out to the left hand side
28:59Wonderful ball
29:00Oh and Fitzpatrick
29:02Rattles the side netting
29:06Disappointing from
29:08Ian Fitzpatrick
29:09He's got good quality
29:11Lovely bit of play
29:12And it's a lovely pass from Lois
29:14He has that quality
29:15And then Fitzpatrick just cutting across the ball
29:18And here's what you would say is another one of those moments where Celtic
29:24Not looking overly comfortable
29:26Knocking the ball about at the back
29:28Sosa, scooping it out for a corner kick
29:33Been a few hands of apology for
29:36Some loose passes and touches
29:41On Celtic's back line
29:48Let's do this
30:00Lawless
30:02Fitzpatrick again
30:03What can he do this time?
30:05Only
30:07To find
30:08Carter Vickers
30:09I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
30:39Yang, let's source up, we don't know I guess with the tidy footwork to bring it under
31:00control.
31:01Tipped really well didn't it?
31:02With some back pass.
31:03Hey, there's some back pass.
31:33I don't know I guess, run by Donovan, he's looked to Sheward again, hit right back.
31:44Turner gets caught and then in turn catches Engles and the yellow card is out for Kyle
32:07Turner.
32:15Well he just gets his body position all wrong and then a heavy touch, what you can see,
32:19that's a real sore one by the way.
32:21Right on the heel, on the Engles there and he rocks his ankle a little bit with the tackle
32:28as well.
32:29Obviously there's no VAR here today and it's probably fortunate for Kyle Turner because
32:37I think if a VAR official had looked at that again, he may well have been getting his marching
32:45orders there.
32:46There's no malice in it obviously but he takes the heavy touch and he's desperately trying
32:50to erm, rectify the mistake, lunging in there, he's caught Engles, there's a sore one, you
32:57can understand why the Belgian was down.
33:01The Cowan, to swing this one in, Lawless away, let's Sosa, and Fitzpatrick, Artificial looking
33:22for a wild breakaway but held up, Macbeth.
33:34Turner, let's Sosa out to Chalmers.
33:43Turner but the flag does go up.
33:50And with this one secure you would think that Brendan Rodgers' thoughts will start to
33:56turn to Wednesday night and the trip to Belgrade.
34:00Is there an added pressure now on Celtic to go deeper into the Europa League?
34:09I think absolutely, I mean after last season doing so well in the Champions League and then
34:18getting into the playoff game against Bayern Munich and looking like they were gonna
34:24erm, potentially take them extra time and you never know what was gonna happen, it's a sore
34:30one for Celtic.
34:31Now in the Europa League you look at what Rangers did a number of seasons ago, I think that's something
34:37that Brendan Rodgers has got aspirations for with Celtic but they have to get all their team
34:43firing on all cylinders.
34:45Chalmers, oh it just needed a touch from Samuel.
34:49And that includes the likes of Kieran Tierney there who just looking and thinking
34:55we're around about 80 minutes, probably the longest he's played in a long while and just looked
35:01a little bit leggy on this one here. Normally he's very competitive 1v1, seldom gets beaten.
35:08But this will do him the world of good I think, you know, getting potentially 90 minutes into him here.
35:16Turner, and that will now be a Partic Thistle corner on the far side.
35:21You know, the new format of the Champions League without the ability to be able to go into the group stage
35:35and drop down into the Europa, it means of course that for them to really go and make a fist
35:42of a European competition, the best one would be the Europa League if we're all being serious.
35:47The disappointment obviously is that there is no participation in the Champions League at all.
35:52But they've got to have everybody firing on all cylinders, they've got to have no real injuries
35:57because at the moment, still, this squad is not as strong as it was last season.
36:04And then they've got to hope for the likes of Xhota to come back next year and to be hitting the ground running.
36:12Because these guys are difference makers, these are the ones that can go up against some of the teams in the Europa League
36:17and really affect the game.
36:19Well, Laquisha wins that from Macbeth opportunity here.
36:24McCown finds the corner.
36:28Celtic have four.
36:32Luke McCown responding to some taunts from the crowd and finishing that one very tightly indeed for Celtic's fourth.
36:44That's a good finish, really good finish. You can see there, Macbeth getting caught in possession.
36:50Well, Laquisha putting him under pressure but, Luke McCown, they're just composed.
36:56Cam, when he gets into these areas, he's a really nice straight through the ball and he just fires that into the bottom corner.
37:03Credit to Baloguisha, they're getting up on top of him and winning it back.
37:10That's a nice finish.
37:13Yeah, as you said, passing another lot of message back to the crowd over in the column where you'll stand there.
37:21Second goal of the season for Luke McCown in the first, that late winner against Samirin on the opening day of the Premiership season.
37:30This is 49th appearance for Celtic, nine goals.
37:35One made up.
37:37Almost getting it in front of Macbeth again there.
37:40That's good defending there from Ciaran Tierney.
37:50Diving header and knock it back to Sinasalo.
37:54And I wonder when the last 90 minutes was that Ciaran Tierney played.
37:59You know, he's obviously been eased back into things since he's come back to Celtic.
38:05But your, you know, your overriding concern is always going to be that's alright if we can start to see 90 minutes coming.
38:13Baloguisha, fantastic ball to Maeda.
38:17And just too much behind it as he went with the pitching wedge.
38:24And found the driver.
38:31Good play though from Baloguisha.
38:34Being more positive, playing forward.
38:36Good run from Dyson Maeda and, you know, the incredible thing is,
38:40last season he just became this incredible finisher.
38:44When he got into those areas, he was looking so cultured and composed.
38:51And, let's say, certainly so far this season, it's not really been there.
38:58Baloguisha.
39:03Not quite to be yet for Michel-Ange Baloguisha's first goal in Celtic colours.
39:09But, again, it looks like he's got a little bit more of a purpose in his runs.
39:14A little bit more of a drive from him.
39:17You can see how disappointed he is because it sat up pretty well for him just to knock it over.
39:22Good or no, Kis.
39:24Han scored already in the Belgian league, in a victory against Roach-Leuven.
39:30He certainly knows his way to goal.
39:44Maeda.
39:45Too much on it from Maeda.
39:48It's a good run forward from Arne Engels.
39:53Turner with nowhere to go right now.
40:08It's up very, very well indeed.
40:10The ball's given away in the end and it's because of the pressure from Baloguisha.
40:17Maeda.
40:19Yang.
40:20Back to Dyson Maeda.
40:22Just seems like he's losing his foot in a little bit as he's having the strike.
40:32Maeda.
40:34Eventually it comes back to him.
40:35Hands up.
41:01O'Reilly.
41:02To O'Sheen Smith.
41:05But Sosa.
41:08Chalmers.
41:13Lawless bundled over.
41:30Partick Thistle are going to have to wait
41:32for another trip back to the National Stadium for a
41:38Cup semi-final.
41:39The last one being 2002 against Rangers.
41:44Celtic fans celebrating already.
41:47This one hasn't been in a League Cup semi-final for 50 years.
42:00Sinasalo.
42:01Seemed confident that he had his angles right.
42:12Closie and Smith trying to side netting.
42:15We'll get a better view of it here.
42:22Sinasalo and Gold's very confident that he had his angles covered there and I think that, that showed it.
42:28That showed it.
42:29Five minutes left at Firhill.
42:41A count tackled by a combination of Fitzpatrick and the scrunched up bits of paper.
42:57Big Beth.
42:58Just under 9,000 inside the choir stadium.
43:13donated to Walton Stadium.
43:26.
43:30There's Patrick the target, Jonathan gets there ahead of him.
44:00O'Reilly, Reading. Carter Beckers gets it back for Celtic. Scales to Tierney.
44:12Now Engles looking to get turned and drive Celtic forward but Linsosa has other ideas.
44:30Michael, who is your Premier Sports Cup man of the match?
44:42I don't think I need to say too much, do I? That man...
44:45You can give us your thinking behind him.
44:48That man Sebastian Tonekde, absolutely outstanding.
44:52Second game for the club and Dem continuing to show what could be up.
45:00A real find for Celtic in the final third.
45:04A player that's got cutting edge, comes up with his first goal as well.
45:09The man in the match for me, quite clearly a standout performance from Sebastian Tonekde.
45:17Carter Beckers wins the wrestling battle with Samuels and then all the back Ocean Smith there on McCowan.
45:36There's no yellow card from Kevin Clancy, surprisingly.
45:48This will next up in action against Dunfermline and then...
45:52It's Queen's Park.
45:56In the coming weeks there's McCowan trying to help it back to Balakwisha.
46:00Yang.
46:01When he comes to the south greener.
46:02This will all started with that header in the first half and had most inside.
46:12So I'm a little confused whether they had scored or not.
46:14if they'd scored or not.
46:16It's well wide that course from Arne Engels.
46:44The final minute, Brendan Rodgers will be pretty content from Mark Wilson.
47:03It was an opportunity but he always knew it was going to be a huge ask for his side.
47:09To be fair, after five victories in the competition, this was a reward and the chance to test themselves
47:16against the best in the country.
47:26What do you think? Playoffs the minimum expectation for Thistles this season?
47:32I think most seasons for Partick Thistle and the Championship they've got their eye on the playoffs as a minimum
47:42and looking to potentially have a tilt at the title.
47:45St Johnson have started the campaign very well and it looks like they'll be a tough nut to crack.
47:49But yeah, for Partick Thistle they're a big club capable of making a fist of it and trying to get into the top flight.
47:59But I think as we've seen over the years in the Championship, it's a very, very competitive league.
48:06Difficult to get out.
48:09So midway through the one additional minute at the end of the game.
48:18This one was really put out of sight by those two goals in quick succession in the first half from Yang and Scales.
48:25The final moments as it's brought to an end and Celtic make their way back to Hampden Park as they continue to defend their Premier Sports Cup title.
48:50Yang, Scales, Chinitki and McCowan the goalscorers.
48:57But it was the Tunisian who was the standout performer for the time that he was on the pitch.
49:04A real bright spark for Celtic on a very comfortable afternoon at Burhill.
49:10Celtic heading through to the semi-finals. The draw is coming up on this channel.
49:15And the full-time scorer at the Wire Stadium, Partick Thistle 0, Celtic 4.
49:20William McNeil holding the cup for Celtic.
49:22That is Celtic Station on!
49:33Celtic are the champions!
49:35The champions!
50:05...
50:08With a close-in.
50:12Men Closic.
50:15Everything goes well blue and black.
50:18I love you.
