00:03Hello, Northern Territory. It is Sunday the 18th of October and this is your forecast for the week
00:06ahead. There is a possibility of rain every day, but it's mainly concentrated towards the end of
00:12the week in terms of intensity. It's really, I would say, the start to the wet season. So let's
00:17have a look forward. Starting here on Monday, we can see it's pretty much dry throughout the state
00:23chance around Darwin 2 to 5 mils. Although if we look into our AI forecast here on James
00:27the pro on Darwin, we can see that they're saying anywhere between 0 and 3 mils, we're showing 0.8.
00:32So maybe a little bit of an overestimate here with this 2 to 5 mils. All right, Tuesday, similar pattern,
00:39a little bit more rain down in the south here. Wednesday, we're starting to intensify. This is
00:44a bit of a low system that's moving across into the Northern Territory and it could deliver localized
00:49falls of 15 to 25 mils, far more likely in the 5 to 10 range. All right, Thursday, we're getting
00:54this troughiness over the whole territory and that is showing 2 to 5 mils across most areas,
01:00unless you're in the top end where it's relatively dry. All right, Friday here, this is where we start
01:04to see more rainfall up around the Darwin region and pretty much across the whole state as we have
01:08these troughs moving through. Same for Saturday, more intense around Darwin, 15 to 25 mils possible
01:12there. And then on Sunday, again, pretty strong 5 to 10 mils around Darwin, but also throughout the
01:18state, there's those chances. All right, looking at this forecast, just to show you the rain down here,
01:24is sort of 0 to 4 mils likely on Saturday, but it's Sunday 0 to 13 mils. We're talking about
01:28seven days out here, so not a lot of confidence around that forecast. But if we open it up,
01:31have a look, there's storm risk there at 2 or 3 a.m. Again, I wouldn't trust that it's seven
01:35days out.
01:36But if we have a look on Sunday, we can see that each of the models, except for the US
01:40model,
01:41is producing some sort of rainfall, but it's this Australian model Sunday morning that's showing
01:45that storm risk there. So see how that model develops over the week. All righties, that is it for the
01:51Northern Territory. Do stay safe, have a great week, and we'll see you next time. Bye!
