00:02Hello, it is Sunday the 20th of September and this is your weather forecast for Northern
00:06Territory, New South Wales and Queensland for the week ahead. There is some rainfall
00:11here for the week coming with some onshore breeze towards the middle of the week, but
00:15it's relatively calm and stable, not many hazardous conditions coming up ahead this
00:18week. Let's start looking though at the weather warnings. This is Monday's weather warning.
00:22There is some marine wind warnings down here in the south as a front moves through into
00:27the Tasman, Sunday night into Monday. We also have a high bushfire risk in northern New
00:31South Wales and in central Queensland here as well. But Northern Territory, the Darwin's
00:37elevated bushfire risk has reduced from last week, but it's still higher than the surrounding
00:41regions. So that's the current warnings for those areas. Let's go through rainfall for
00:47this week, zooming out so we can see all three states at once. This is Sunday, Monday, nothing
00:52happening. And then it's Tuesday when we start to see that sort of New South Wales showers,
00:57sort of maximum five to ten mils, but more likely across that sort of one to five area for most
01:01of the coast. This sort of sticks around with Wednesday coming up into Queensland. Thursday,
01:07similar. Friday, it starts to reduce in New South Wales, maintains in Queensland. And then
01:14Saturday and Sunday, relatively similar. Sunday, a bit more coastal rain coming up there.
01:19Northern Territory stays mostly dry, but there's a bit of showers up along the coastline towards the
01:24end of the week. Let's have a look at wind. So this is the front that's moving through the south
01:29Sunday night, Monday morning, just to show there are pockets where gusts are above 90 kilometres an
01:33hour that could play and interact with the southern New South Wales area. Okay. As for temperatures,
01:39I thought I'd pull out Monday because that's the strongest temperatures that I'm seeing,
01:42especially across this sort of central region here for the week where we've got 30 to 35 degrees
01:48Celsius, which is coming down quite far south. Now, those are pretty standard temperatures up
01:52here. And in fact, what we're going to do is a quick flip here. This is the one day maximum
01:56temperature anomaly for yesterday, which was Saturday, the 19th of September. Just to show
02:00you that whilst it is roasty toasty down here in the south, anywhere from sort of six to 10 degrees
02:05above the regular maximum temperature, it's actually below the regular maximum temperature up in
02:10the northern tropical areas. Okay. So yeah, a bit cooler up in the north, but definitely that's coming in
02:16it down south. Beautiful. That is the forecast for those three states today. Relatively passive
02:23weather coming on the way. There is a chance for some warmth that those showers might have a
02:28localised thunderstorm, but it's pretty unlikely. So I wouldn't be worried about that too much.
