00:03Hello, South Australia. It is Sunday, the 4th of October, and this is your weather forecast
00:06for the week ahead. There's two sets of severe weather on the way. The first is from a low
00:11pressure trough that stays in the state's sort of northwest region, arriving Sunday. And then
00:16the next is as a front moves through down through the southern regions on about Friday. We will
00:21have a look at this day by day. So this is this trough, which is going to deliver 15 to
00:2525 mils
00:26in some areas. So quite a bit of rain there on the way. This has really cleared off by
00:30Monday, where most of the state is relatively calm and stable. Same here for Tuesday, Wednesday,
00:37Thursday. You start to see the establishment of this front for it to really arrive there
00:41on Friday. So we're seeing 5 to 15 mils, but I think there's a possibility of a sort of
00:4725 mils in some very small areas. I have seen this associated with thunderstorms in some models.
00:53So definitely a possibility on the way there. What else? I should say there's also a lot of wind
01:01with this system, sort of gusts 40 to 63 kilometres an hour, and they come within the full sort of
01:07range of the state. So even up into the very northern and central regions. So there's definitely
01:12gusty weather there on the way. I also want to point out that on Thursday, so the day before,
01:18this front arrives, which is part of the reason why it has the possibility of being quite strong,
01:23is that it's very warm. So there's this big warm air intrusion, 30 to 35 degrees Celsius there,
01:30that comes down into some of these southern regions in the state. Okay. So Friday, that major
01:36system establishes. Saturday, it should weaken a little bit, but still relatively strong. Again,
01:415 to 10 mils in some regions. And then Sunday, it seems to have largely cleared out of the southern
01:46areas of the states and another system possibly there up in the north, 5 to 10 mils.
01:50I do want to bring one caveat to this, and that is that Saturday and Friday, that weather forecast is
01:58five to seven days away from when I'm delivering this video, which means that there's not as much
02:03confidence in the model. Now, I like the look of this Friday's model. I think it looks well
02:08structured. I have, yeah, sort of moderate confidence that it will be this system, that it will have a fair
02:15decent amount of strength behind it in terms of wind and rainfall, and that there is the possibility of
02:18thunderstorms. I feel pretty confident about those aspects of the forecast as to what time it arrives
02:23or the exact positioning of things. I would not call that. It's mainly the Saturday one that I
02:28don't have a lot of confidence around. I don't see a clear structure in this system. It's quite far
02:33out in the model and the forecast. So I would really keep my eye out on Saturday to see how
02:37it
02:37develops. All right, everyone, that is it. Please be safe this week. Have a good one,
02:42and I will see you next time. Bye.
