00:03Hello, it is Sunday, the 4th of October, and this is your weather forecast for the Northern
00:06Territory this week.
00:07There is a little bit of activity starting this week.
00:10It's all concentrated down in the south here around the Alice Springs region, a little
00:14bit at the top of the week and then from Friday onwards as well.
00:17So let's start here looking at Sunday.
00:19We have a trough moving through down in the south, bringing five to 10 mils and a possible
00:23chance of a thunderstorm, but not sort of super confident that I'm seeing across a lot
00:27of the models there.
00:27So Monday, it dries out across the state, maybe a shower in Darwin, Tuesday, very similar
00:33story as the same for Wednesday, Thursday, but it's Friday where we start to see a little
00:38bit of activity occur.
00:39So first off, we can see it a little bit if I move down south, but this is really stemming
00:43from a weather system in the south.
00:45It's then extending itself up into the Northern Territory, but it's associated with some strong
00:50wind.
00:51So here we're seeing gusts 30 to 40 kilometres an hour, maybe a slight pocket of 40 to 63
00:56is a quite gusty wind, which is also likely going to bring, you know, as we've seen, not
01:01a lot of rain, but I definitely have seen some widespread possible thunderstorms there.
01:06So something to look out for.
01:09Similar story for Saturday and for Sunday.
01:12However, you know, we're now talking six, seven, eight days from the current forecast.
01:17So the confidence that I have in calling anything there is pretty low, but I will say that there
01:22is that chance of a thunderstorm there with it and also some strong winds.
01:25OK, so something to be on the lookout for.
01:28Do be safe.
01:29Have a great week and we will see you next time.
01:31Bye.
