00:03It is Sunday the 2nd of August and this is your weekly weather update for New South Wales and
00:08Queensland. It's a fairly stable week as high pressure dominates from Monday through to Friday
00:13delivering some very very chilly temperatures for most of New South Wales. On Friday there's some
00:21rain along the east coast of Queensland and from Saturday, Sunday to Monday a front that sweeps
00:28through the southeast delivers some moderate falls up into New South Wales. So let's have a look at that
00:33day by day. This is Monday as we can see nice and stable under this high and honestly we'll just
00:39keep
00:39skipping through quite quickly. So this is Tuesday nothing, Wednesday clear, Thursday clear, Friday.
00:47Now Friday you can see a little bit of that sort of showery system along the east coast here anywhere
00:52between 1 and 5 mils more likely on the 2 to 3 range. So light shower on Friday there. On
00:59Saturday
01:00we can start to see that front arriving through the south here which is not penetrating much of New
01:05South Wales until Sunday. So Sunday the southern half and central parts really of New South Wales 5 to
01:1210 mils, a little bit higher up in the ranges and then it does last for Monday and Monday it
01:20goes a
01:21little bit more into the east coast 5 to 10 mils again. So not crazy rain but some rain on
01:25the way,
01:26some moisture is coming which is good. Let's have a quick look. This is the Wednesday morning just to
01:32show you that chilly weather that's ahead. So we've got pockets here of negative 5 to 0 degrees but pretty
01:37much all of New South Wales is 0 to 5 degrees in the morning and even up into Queensland 5
01:43to 10
01:44degrees, 10-15 degrees. So it is chilly down here in the south because of those high pressure systems
01:51but it also doesn't particularly warm up to very warm in the days either. Having a look at orange now
01:58we'll see that we've got those chilly temperatures Tuesday through Friday, minimums in the 0 degrees but
02:04it stays cold in the day. So tops of 7 to 8 degrees which is quite a cold week coming
02:09ahead and with
02:10that is definitely a risk of frost and fog across wide extents of New South Wales. The rain doesn't
02:19come until Saturday, so 1 mil Saturday, 5 mils on Sunday and 7 on Monday. So not a lot of
02:26rain but
02:27there's a bit of moisture on the way. The wind in these systems is strongest on the Sunday but Saturday
02:34and Sunday it's relatively calm which means that our spray conditions are best during the middle block
02:42of the week when it's quite cool in those mornings. So just to wrap up we have pretty calm and
02:47stable
02:48weather from Monday through to Friday. Friday is where we're getting this sort of 1 to 2 mils across the
02:54east coast and then Saturday, Sunday into Monday we have rainfall across most of New South Wales
03:01concentrated in those southern areas with a risk of frost and fog across most of the week in the
