00:02Hello it is Sunday the 6th of September and this is the weather update for Queensland for the week
00:07ahead. Now there's been an unusually warm start to spring for a lot of southern Queensland which
00:12has increased fire risk to high over the last few days but it's what we're looking at here in this
00:17yellow is high fire risk. Now those temperatures cool off from tomorrow reducing the fire risk back
00:23down to moderate for most of the rest of the week. Okay then we have a high pressure really
00:29dominating for most of the week bringing some calm and stable weather but there's a low pressure
00:33trough up here in the sort of northern areas of Queensland for Thursday and Friday which is
00:38bringing some scattered showers. So let's have a look at that. All right this is Sunday you can see
00:43the sort of high pressure dominating over here bringing very stable weather so we'll move through
00:47this relatively quickly. Monday very similar, Tuesday similar, Wednesday similar and Thursday. Now these
00:55kinks in the isobars here are the low pressure trough that's the signature and as you can see there's
01:00really not a lot of rain associated with it on Friday potentially a little bit up on the coast
01:05and then Saturday and Sunday. So there is a trough that's you know potentially bringing some showers
01:12but it's really not very strong or yeah noteworthy nothing much to write home about there. This is the
01:19Sunday 1pm temperature fields just to show you the very warm weather that you're experiencing at the
01:24moment but then if I choose literally any other day here we go Wednesday let's go to 1pm you can
01:30see
01:31down in the south we're back to sort of standard start of springtime temperatures. Beautiful. We're
01:36going to have a look at the forecast for Ipswich this week to show you what's going to happen down
01:41in southeast Queensland. So top of 35 today on Sunday but then it cools back down to 27 degrees on
01:46Monday and we're sort of in that mid to low 20s for the rest of the week and our lows
01:52are in the
01:52sort of high single digits to mid teens as well. Rainfall is as I said maybe a scattered shower or
01:59two but not much on the way. Not really any strong winds that I'm seeing and not any large dominating
02:04frost or fog incidents but there is a potential with that still weather to see potentially some
02:09morning fog around. All right that is it for Queensland this week. Stay safe, have a great week
02:15and we'll see you next time.
