00:00Hello, good evening. It'll dry out a little bit through tonight for most of us.
00:04That's away from the far north where we've got low pressure still in charge,
00:07bringing frequent showers to parts of Scotland overnight tonight.
00:11That will push away by Sunday, however, and then high pressure takes its place,
00:16becoming more dominant by Sunday, centred across the middle of the UK by then.
00:21But notice we've got these blue colours. That's colder air.
00:24So it's not going to be particularly warm out of the sunshine this weekend.
00:28But I think for most of us, there will be a lot of dry weather.
00:31Still some rain to come through the rest of today, though, particularly across southeastern areas.
00:35This weather front pushes into the southeast, just some light rain by the end of the day.
00:39But it's northern areas of Northern Ireland, western Scotland will see the most frequent showers,
00:44a westerly wind, some of these showers quite heavy through this evening as well.
00:49A lot of cloud ahead of that area of low pressure extending across Scotland down into parts of Wales,
00:54some in the southwest as well.
00:56But I think for most of us across England and Wales, it's going to be a relatively clear night.
01:01So that means a chillier one than last night.
01:03Temperatures falling away to the lower single figures rurally.
01:06We could be down as low as two in parts of Wales.
01:09Eastern Scotland close to one degree, not quite below zero.
01:12So I think we should escape any frost risk for most of us.
01:16But it could be a bit of a fresh start to the weekend.
01:19Now, cloud still lingers across the far southeast to start the day,
01:22though that does clear quite quickly.
01:23Further north, those showers will persist through much of the morning across parts of Scotland,
01:29Northern Ireland.
01:29There's also a shower risk across parts of Wales, central England as well.
01:33But notice these showers aren't very heavy.
01:35I think you'll be pretty unlucky to be caught out in any showers across more southern areas of the UK.
01:40But there's still that risk.
01:42So it's worth knowing about for sure.
01:44Now, in any sunshine, it will feel relatively warm across the east.
01:48Temperatures climbing towards the high teens, 17 or 18 degrees.
01:51Further north, though, brisk northwesterly winds will bring a chillier feel.
01:56So it's going to feel closer to 9 or 10 degrees in these areas.
02:00So a little bit fresh for the time of year.
02:02Then that cooler theme does continue through Saturday night.
02:05I think clearer skies for most of us.
02:07That will allow temperatures to fall away a little bit more widely.
02:10So we are expecting a touch of frost, particularly across parts of eastern Northern Ireland.
02:15We could see some across rural areas of eastern Scotland and southern Scotland too.
02:20Perhaps elsewhere, rurally.
02:22For most of us, temperatures in any towns and cities, 4 or 5 degrees to start the day.
02:27So that is quite chilly.
02:28I think you will notice it if you are heading out early on Sunday.
02:32But the sun will get to work pretty quickly.
02:34And I think in the sunshine, it's going to feel relatively warm.
02:37Saying that, though, we do have a northerly wind through Sunday.
02:40So across eastern coasts of the UK, that's going to bring a chillier feel as well as across the far
02:45north coast of Scotland.
02:46I think the best of the sunshine will be across more western areas, parts of West Wales, down into the
02:52southwest of England as well.
02:54Here, temperatures climbing towards the mid-teens for most of us.
02:57As you'll notice, we're close to 11 or 12 degrees, which is a bit disappointing.
03:00But don't forget the strength of the April sunshine when you're looking at those temperatures.
03:06Shower risk continues across more eastern areas as we start the new working week.
03:11But high pressure continues to dominate.
03:14So for most of us, it should remain largely dry, if not a bit chilly, into next week.
03:19But you can find out more details on all of that on our YouTube channel, of course.
03:23So don't forget to check it out and subscribe.
03:25Bye-bye.
