00:00Good afternoon, we are in for a pretty typical week for early September, each day feeling
00:05a little bit different to the one before. Wet weather at times, particularly throughout
00:09this evening, we've got low pressure in charge at the moment. You can see that very clearly
00:14on the satellite picture here, the cloud curled around that area of low pressure. Some quite
00:18tightly packed isobars too, it's quite a deep area of low pressure so it will bring some
00:22stronger winds to northern areas throughout this afternoon. A weather front ahead of that
00:27bringing some cloudier skies to central England through this morning. A few spits and spots
00:31of rain here and there too, but nothing particularly significant for the time being. It'd likely
00:36turn a little bit brighter after a cloudier part of the morning into this afternoon across
00:41much of England and Wales. Still feeling quite warm and humid across England and Wales too.
00:46Further north and west, increasingly windy through this afternoon, blustery showers pushing in
00:51from the west. They will be fairly frequent across western coast so it's going to feel
00:55quite unsettled and fresh here. Warm and humid though elsewhere across England and Wales.
01:00Temperatures could climb towards 26 degrees. Not quite as warm as Sunday was, but warmer than
01:05average for the time of year. That's the last day of the warmth and humidity for the time being.
01:10It will return a little bit later on this week as it is turning a bit wetter and cloudier
01:14overnight across much of England and Wales. We are in for potentially some more significant rainfall
01:19across some southern counties just for a time through the early part of Tuesday.
01:23There is some uncertainty in the exact position of this rainfall and whether we see this heavier
01:27stuff come up from the south across the south coast through Tuesday morning, but there is a chance
01:32at least. Low pressure still very much in charge across the north so it's going to remain very windy
01:37to start the day on Tuesday. Some heavy downpours across parts of western Scotland as well as
01:42northern Ireland. You can see some quite organised showers here, so them pushing in quite widely
01:47across the north and west. After a potentially wetter start to the day across the south,
01:52it will brighten up into the afternoon across much of England and Wales. It's going to feel
01:56fresher though despite it turning a little bit brighter. You will notice that change of air
02:01to more of a northerly wind temperatures much closer to average in the low 20s at best for most of
02:07us
02:07though in the high teens. And where we see these very strong winds across some northern Irish sea
02:12coasts, well it's going to be feeling quite fresh indeed. Now that area of low pressure skirts along
02:17the east coast of the UK potentially bringing some further rainfall to the east coast before a ridge
02:22of high pressure builds in quite widely for Wednesday. So definitely by the afternoon on
02:26Wednesday it's looking like one of the drier days of the week. But Alex Burke will have more details
02:31on your full week ahead forecast on YouTube later today, so make sure you check it out. Bye-bye.
