00:00So Jesse sent this tweet to me after yesterday's show.
00:05A lot of conversation on Brandon Iyuk yesterday.
00:09Kevin, so based on your change of heart on BA, meaning Brandon Iyuk,
00:13I'm guessing you have information that the team is out too.
00:19Jesse, I don't have information that the team is out on Brandon Iyuk.
00:23I feel confident that they did have interest in Brandon Iyuk.
00:30As in, say, three weeks ago or a month ago,
00:34I feel pretty confident that there was certainly interest
00:38and the likelihood that they would certainly kick the tires at the very least
00:44if and when he was released.
00:47I don't know anything for sure about how they feel right now,
00:52but I think common sense would lead most of us to think that,
00:58you know, at the very least, I mean, the very least,
01:01they are having second thoughts, and that's at the very least.
01:05More likely is that they're not really very excited about doing anything now
01:12with Brandon Iyuk.
01:13I think the position that he's put them in is a much more difficult position
01:20to make a move.
01:22You know, a couple of weeks ago, you had, you know, the red flags,
01:27but they weren't, you know, dark red.
01:30You had the, you know, voided, guaranteed money,
01:33which clearly looks like the 49ers had the right to do it based on him not,
01:40you know, doing what he was supposed to do contractually,
01:44allow them to monitor his rehab by showing up once or twice a month.
01:49We had the videotaped, you know, 100-mile-per-hour trip around Levi's Stadium
01:54that got posted to social media, which has led to an arrest warrant for him,
01:59misdemeanor, traffic, you know, violation.
02:03You know, those are, you know, not the brightest things.
02:07They are judgment-related issues, but as I said all along during that period of time,
02:12I mean, being a little bit nuts, not being the brightest bulb on the bush,
02:16being a little bit immature, those aren't disqualifiers for, you know,
02:21really good, talented players in any sport, you know.
02:25So, but do I think that the last three weeks of this video series have changed their minds?
02:33Common sense would say that it definitely has.
02:36And part of it is just because it just would have been a lot easier before all of this.
02:42Now you're really sticking your neck out.
02:46Not only are you, Adam Peters, really sticking your neck out
02:49and convincing and needing to convince your owner and ownership that,
02:54hey, you know, we've built this great culture over the last two years
02:58and we're going to bring in this guy that literally has gone on a three-week scorched-earth tirade
03:05on, you know, where not only has it been insulting and provoking and everything else,
03:10I mean, there are people that have written that it could be a conduct, you know, detrimental.
03:15But I doubt that they could get to that point personally on conduct detrimental.
03:19I mean, we've seen much worse cases not lead to conduct detrimental, you know,
03:26suspensions or anything like that.
03:29But you're going to have to stick your neck out.
03:31You're going to have to go out on a limb if you're Adam Peters to say, hey, we got this.
03:36You know, this is what happened.
03:39But he feels comfortable here, and I've known this guy, and our quarterback's known this guy.
03:44Look, at the same time, the quarterback's sticking his neck out on the line.
03:48You know, the perception, whether it's reality or not, is that if they were to sign Brandon Iyuk,
03:54it's because Adam Peters and Jaden Daniels know him.
03:59And they are saying, we got this.
04:02We got this.
04:04So, you enter into this deal, even if it's a low to zero risk deal in terms of what your
04:11contract offer is to him,
04:14in a far different situation than you would have three weeks ago.
04:19So, yeah, I mean, common sense to me says that at the very, very least, they're having second thoughts,
04:26but more likely than not, they're not, you know, they're not excited to do anything right now.
04:33Got a long way to go between now and the beginning of the season, and things change.
04:37They do, and apologies can be made, and things can be taken back, and more, you know, data and information
04:44can come out.
04:47But that's kind of where I would think.
04:49I'd be, I would be surprised, based on the last three weeks, if Washington signs Brandon Iyuk,
04:58if he actually ever becomes available, and that's part of the issue, right,
05:01is he doesn't appear to be super serious about becoming available.
05:07His actions or inaction doesn't speak to that.
05:11I wanted to go back because some of you,
05:15I wanted to go back in the long video.
05:18By the way, nothing since yesterday, right?
05:20He's gone quiet.
05:21This is real quiet when he has not put out a video in more than 24 hours.
05:25Am I right?
05:26Nothing today?
05:28I have not been notified that he has posted anything.
05:30Are you on the notification list?
05:32I am on the notification list.
05:34Okay, good.
05:35That's a requirement.
05:36It is.
05:37Because I'm telling you, people are hanging by a thread.
05:41They're on the edge of their seats for the latest Brandon Iyuk episode to drop.
05:46But I wanted to go back and play what was the longer video from over the weekend.
05:52It was three plus minutes, right, Max?
05:54Yeah, it was over three minutes, like 340 something.
05:57Yeah, and it really was the part in which he was trying to explain his side.
06:05I don't think he did a great job of it, but that's a matter of subjective,
06:10and there's perspective involved.
06:12But I wanted to go back and just play the beginning of it
06:15because it kind of gives the tone and texture of the entirety of it.
06:19There's a lot of bleeps.
06:20There's a lot of F words.
06:22He uses the N word over and over again in singular and in plural.
06:27But I wanted to play, like, the first minute of this again
06:31because there's at least one part of it that I think some of you are missing.
06:36Here it was.
06:37All right, y'all.
06:38So I understand that a lot of y'all is new here,
06:42and so I'm going to just fill y'all in and give y'all the details
06:47so that everybody can understand.
06:50The reason why the agent being fired is such an important detail in this whole story
06:56is because that agent is also the agent of the general manager for that one team.
07:07Stop it right there.
07:08Stop it right there, Max.
07:11So I don't know where some of you get the this is, you know, a major violation of trust
07:20and you don't understand something, and I want to just be clear about something
07:24because I have a feeling many of you don't know this, and it's fine.
07:28Why would you know this?
07:30NFL general managers, for the most part, have agents.
07:34Those agents come from, more often than not, the same agencies that represent players.
07:41So there are, it is not uncommon at all for an NFL general manager or an NFL front office executive
07:49or a head coach to have the same agent as players have.
07:57So Athletes First, which is one of the bigger agencies, represents a lot of GMs and a lot of players.
08:04So it's not crazy at all that John Lynch has an agent that is the same agent as Brandon Ayuk.
08:15Now, if Brandon was somehow accusing John Lynch and his agent of something untoward, you know,
08:24I don't know what he's alleging.
08:26He doesn't, he doesn't allege anything.
08:28He just says, this is the problem is John Lynch has the same agent.
08:33So the implication, even though he doesn't say it, he's implying that somehow, I guess, they are, what, colluding together
08:43to take his money
08:45or to financially somehow injure him or hurt him or whatever.
08:52I'm not really sure what he was alleging.
08:54Um, but I just, I have a feeling many people listening don't know that general managers have agents.
09:04Most of them do.
09:05And a lot of their agents come from the same agencies that represent players.
09:11See the, the group, if he believes that they've done something wrong together, that he has been taken advantage of,
09:20they have, uh, ripped them off, whatever it is, that's what the NFLPA is for.
09:27That's where you go to the NFLPA.
09:29You go to the players association, your union, which by the way, over the weekend, he ripped them too,
09:35but not completely.
09:36Cause I think he said there were a few people at the NFLPA that are okay, but the rest of
09:41them are,
09:41I think, I think the word was trashed or trash, or maybe it was another word.
09:45I forget.
09:46I've gotten lost on a lot of these videos, but he did rip the NFLPA.
09:49But if a player is truly being taken advantage of, you know, in, you know, an injurious way or in
09:58a,
09:58in a hurtful way, financially, uh, hurtful way, um, the NFLPA has a duty to protect the player.
10:07So that's really where he should turn to.
10:10Now he hasn't turned to anybody as we know.
10:12I mean, there's been a lot of talking.
10:14There's been no action.
10:15Now, keep in mind, like I've, we've talked about this for months, the NFLPA did not help him out with
10:23respect to the 30 million,
10:25let's just call it 30 million avoided guaranteed dollars from his contract.
10:29At least they haven't as of now, they haven't done that.
10:33Um, and that is unprecedented.
10:36You know, uh, all of the former players, I mean, that's a big problem too, is that there's not a
10:41lot of support for this guy from people who are actually closer to it.
10:45Um, but you know, Dante Wittner was the first.
10:47I remember for me when he came on my show two or three months ago and said, this is crazy.
10:54This is just stupid.
10:57It's terrible judgment.
10:58You've got to be concerned about this.
11:00The fact that the NFLPA wouldn't even back them up on this.
11:04So, you know, I don't know why they didn't back them up.
11:07I don't know why they didn't support them.
11:08I don't know why they haven't fought it.
11:10The only conclusion you can come to is that the 49ers had a clear cut legitimate case to void millions
11:18of dollars of his guaranteed contract.
11:22You have to come to that conclusion.
11:25As of now, maybe something will be done about it.
11:28We'll see.
11:29Um, all right, continue.
11:31I wanted to get through another, you know, 30 to 45 seconds of that.
11:36So continue it, Max.
11:38And that agent really started this whole s*** because I fired his ass, but he wanted to text my wife
11:46like he's smart.
11:47You don't ever text my wife.
11:49Y'all ass fired.
11:50Y'all ass grass.
11:51Get up out of here.
11:51Get going.
11:53So he is also the agent for the general manager of that team.
11:57And these n***s are all weird.
12:01Weirdos.
12:02Creepy predators.
12:04I would never, ever, ever f*** these n***s.
12:08I would never, ever, ever f*** with these n***s.
12:12I don't care how long I got to wait to get to you, my baby.
12:16But if it involves f***ing with them n***s first, I'm waiting.
12:21The end of that's very interesting.
12:22I'll get to that in a moment.
12:23But real quickly, like, if Brandon, like, it may be somebody new, the next video that comes out.
12:31But if he's really saying that his agent started all this s***, just get a new agent and move on.
12:40And as far as, like, he texted his wife, I can't believe how many of you are like, well, that
12:46crossed the line.
12:48It did?
12:49You've got enough information to say that the agent texting his wife crossed some sort of line.
12:55Look, he was clearly pissed about it.
12:57He said he didn't like it.
12:58But wouldn't you imagine that agents sometimes know the families, know the wives of the players they're representing them,
13:09representing, and even occasionally communicate with them?
13:13You don't think that's a possibility?
13:14Look, I could come up with a lot of appropriate reasons for the text and a lot of inappropriate reasons.
13:22Now, he's implying that the texting of his wife was inappropriate.
13:27But he doesn't say why.
13:29I don't know why.
13:31It could be that he's just in this mode of, you're done.
13:37Don't text my wife.
13:39Don't text me.
13:40But he didn't fire him officially until over the weekend.
13:42Now, that could be just a matter of paperwork.
13:46I understand that.
13:47It's very possible that when he said he fired him in November, he told him, you're done.
13:52You're fired.
13:52I don't want you to be my agent anymore.
13:55There's no indication that he replaced his agent with anybody else.
14:02Certainly, you would think if he had an agent right now, there may be a different way he'd be handling
14:08this.
14:09But that would assume that he would actually listen to whatever advice there was.
14:14But with respect to the texting of his wife, I see so many people coming to conclusions on this.
14:19Look, maybe you know more about this than I do.
14:21I don't know why he texted the wife.
14:24I don't know why John Lynch drove to his house.
14:29I can come up with a lot of inappropriate reasons for it.
14:32I can come up with a lot of appropriate reasons for it.
14:34I think most reasonable people could.
14:37Now, he implies that these two are somehow in cahoots to hurt him and perhaps hurt his wife and family
14:50and their weirdos and their creepy predators.
14:54I mean, maybe a little bit more information as to why other than they texted my wife and the general
15:01manager drove to my house.
15:02I mean, you need a little bit more information than just the big white dude, Lynch, is coming to my
15:08house.
15:13That last part when he says, you know, weirdos, creepy predators.
15:18And he says, I would never, ever F and then he uses the N word with these plural.
15:27I don't care how long I got to wait to get to you, my baby.
15:31By the way, when he said that, he was holding a football with the commander's logo on it.
15:37So if you're wondering who his baby is, his baby is our team or maybe our quarterback.
15:43But he says, if it involves F-ing with them N words, I'm waiting.
15:51This is the part where it's just like, dude, affect your outcome a little bit.
15:57Take some action.
15:58You so badly want to come to Washington and play here.
16:03I think those chances are slipping away if they haven't slipped away already.
16:07But you could have been doing something about that.
16:12You could be doing something about it.
16:13But he admits there, and I'm not suggesting that he won't change his mind in the next video,
16:19but that you're not going to face the things that you need to face to change your current status.
16:29You're not going to face them.
16:31Anything involving them, I'll wait.
16:33Wait for what?
16:35Wait for next year?
16:36Wait for they just get sick of it and eventually cut you?
16:41Look, they may get sick of it and cut him tomorrow.
16:43I have no idea how this will play out.
16:45I don't.
16:47But the bottom line is this guy hasn't taken any action.
16:54Hire an agent, file for reinstatement, show up, maybe before showing up, have some sort of, with your new agent,
17:04your new representation,
17:06some sort of, you know, get together with the people you've been torching for the last three weeks.
17:13Speak your mind.
17:14Don't be afraid.
17:15But also, get the thing to a conclusion somehow.
17:21And maybe that won't work, but you've got to take some action.
17:25And three weeks of videos is talking.
17:29I know some of you think it's a grand strategy.
17:32And when I said that yesterday, it was sarcasm for those of you that didn't get it.
17:38We'll see.
17:39You know, he ended that rant with, you know, he's never stepping into that building again, except for on October
17:4719th, when he comes through with that damn effing belt.
17:52October 19th, Monday Night Football, Washington in Santa Clara against the 49ers.
17:58I would put the odds right now of him being on the team and playing in that game at plus
18:04300.
18:07Three to one that it happens.
18:10Not, you know, a favorite for it to happen anymore.
18:13I think a month ago, I would have been at minus 500 that he'd be on the team.
