00:00He said, I don't do that internet s**t, bro.
00:02Hit my phone if you got to talk to me, bro.
00:04You got my number.
00:05And I called, s**t, he don't answer.
00:07Hit my phone, bro.
00:09It's important.
00:11It's the money on the line.
00:16Desperation from Brandon Ayuk last week.
00:18Although I'm sure this is still, for many of you, part of his brilliant grand strategy.
00:23With him and Jaden playing everybody for fools on social media.
00:27So that he signs the big deal in Washington.
00:31Glad I got a few days off from talking about this.
00:35To be honest with you.
00:37Because it's really just so much craziness.
00:43I mean, we talked so much about it before I left.
00:48And just to me, the bottom line more than anything else is that this guy is incredibly self-destructive.
00:57And he's taken no action at all to actually affect his own outcome.
01:05The one that he has claimed he desires the most.
01:08Which is to be released by his current team, the 49ers.
01:13So that he can sign with his favorite team, the Washington Commanders.
01:18And there you have it.
01:20I mean, he's self-destructive.
01:22That's not debatable.
01:23We've talked about that.
01:25The self-destruction has come from, obviously, just the idea that he lost 30-plus million in voided guarantees.
01:33Because he wouldn't post once or twice a month to have the 49ers look at the knee he was rehabbing
01:40outside of the organization.
01:42Not to mention, this is a man who literally videotaped himself breaking the law going 100 miles per hour outside
01:51of Levi's Stadium, the home of the 49ers.
01:53And then posted it on the internet for all to see.
01:57Now, the circumstances around the arrest warrant are a little bit odd that it took so long.
02:02It doesn't matter.
02:03Or the act itself and the posting of it on social media is self-destructive, obviously.
02:11And then we could go through all the other lists of things that would make you, in the development of
02:19a pros-cons list, lean heavily against signing him.
02:24He's immature.
02:25That's obvious.
02:26He hasn't played football in two years.
02:28He's coming off a serious injury.
02:30Who knows how that will impact his overall play.
02:35And, look, he's created, over the last month and a half now, an environment in which any team that considers
02:42kicking the tires on him and signing him,
02:46they're going to have to have the stomach for the public criticism that will come from many corners
02:52because of his weird, strange, creepy, as he likes to call John Lynch, behavior over the last month.
03:01It's just self-destructive, once again.
03:04His best path to getting what he claims he really wants, but he doesn't appear to be super serious about
03:11what he really wants,
03:12would have been to keep his mouth shut, apply for reinstatement, get in the best shape of his life,
03:16have the doctor's, you know, reviews of the condition of his knee and the condition of really his mental state
03:25because even without the last month and a half of videos, there had to be some questions as to why
03:31he didn't show up
03:32for the minimal amount that would have kept the 49ers from being able to avoid $30-plus million in guaranteed
03:39contract dollars.
03:40You know, you'd certainly want to know what happened there, for sure, but it was a completely different situation.
03:47The public criticism that would have come with it, even if you want to, you know,
03:54social media is a terrible place to sort of create a, you know, an environment of what people really think
04:01because it's really not a reflection of the majority or even close to the majority,
04:06but certainly if you want to say that it would have been a polarized response, that's best case.
04:13I think more people would have been very critical of a team signing him or will be very critical of
04:21a team signing him
04:21at this point, and it wouldn't have been that without the last month and a half of video.
04:26Now, this last video, again, I'm sure many of you will hammer away at me for saying I wouldn't sign
04:33him at this point.
04:34This is another reason why when you guys think that Jaden and he are just putting together this incredible theater
04:42presentation to troll people.
04:45I don't know why Jaden would do that.
04:47There's no benefit in him being involved in something like that.
04:51So I don't think that this response from him about Jaden not essentially saying Jaden's ignoring him.
05:00You know, Jaden's saying, I don't do this on the internet.
05:04Yeah, he doesn't because you know why?
05:06He's a grown-up.
05:07Hit my phone if you got to talk to me, Jaden apparently said to Brandon Ayuk, if you believe Brandon
05:12Ayuk.
05:13You got my number.
05:14I called and he didn't answer.
05:17Yeah, at this point, you know, it's best for Jaden to steer clear of all of this nonsense.
05:23I think the biggest question that exists right now is why hasn't the team done what they could have done
05:33because it would not have put them in any jeopardy of anything from a league standpoint?
05:40And that is to reveal in a private setting with someone like Adam Schefter or Ian Rapoport
05:47that they aren't interested in Brandon Ayuk.
05:50They actually really feel confident in what they have.
05:54And that's not a path in which they're going to travel if and when he becomes available.
06:01Why they haven't done that?
06:03I don't know.
06:03It could be that they just don't care to do it.
06:06That they aren't wrapped up into all of this like many are.
06:12And that, you know, they just don't feel like it's necessary to tell the world that they're not interested
06:19by, you know, by revealing that in a private setting to, you know, a major NFL reporter
06:25so that it could be reported and people would say, oh, there you go.
06:30Maybe they don't want people to think that the last month turned them off,
06:34that they were never interested.
06:35And that when they do get asked at some point when Brandon Ayuk becomes available
06:40and they're able to comment on that because they can't now publicly
06:45in terms of interest, showing interest in him because it's tampering by league rules.
06:52Maybe they will say if he becomes available and he signs with somebody else
06:58or he isn't signed yet, yeah, we like what we have.
07:01I mean, that's the answer we're giving.
07:03We're not interested in signing anybody else.
07:06But, yeah, I have this sense that some of you that were still holding out
07:13in terms of, yeah, this is just brilliance on display and most of you can't see it.
07:19I think many of you have actually come around to understanding
07:23that really this guy probably needs some help because he is incredibly self-destructive.
07:29Now, whether that comes from something of, you know, that needs to be tended to mentally,
07:35or whether it's just terrible judgment and immaturity, I don't know.
07:39I mean, I don't know him.
07:41I'm watching the same stuff and following the same stuff you are.
07:45But as I said before I left in two weeks prior to leaving on vacation, I'm out.
07:51I've been out for a few weeks now.
07:53These videos were definitely off-putting enough for me, concerning enough for me to, and again,
08:04not because of the comedic value or lack thereof, just because, again, focusing on the things
08:10that we know to be true that are not debatable, he's a self-destructive human being, and he's
08:19unserious about doing what he can do, taking the actions he can take to affect a different
08:27outcome that would get him off social media as his only activity right now that we know of.
08:34Look, things change.
08:35They always do, and nothing's ever, for sure, etched in stone.
08:40He could go on.
08:41Look, it's been five days, apparently, since he's done anything on social media.
08:44Now, we did have a quiet period once before, and he came out gangbusters following that
08:50quiet period with a lot of new stuff, and maybe that's around the corner.
08:54Or maybe, maybe Jaden got through to him by not responding to him, and somebody else got
09:01into his life and said, you've just completely sabotaged yourself for the last month and a
09:07half.
09:07Not that you hadn't done it before by not following the contractual requirements to allow the 49ers
09:15to check on your rehab.
09:18By the way, that was never about the 49ers not doing the rehab, as he suggested.
09:23That is, Taylor made, one of those videos were for people who are unsuspecting, people who
09:28aren't paying attention to it.
09:29You don't have to do the rehab with the person that the team tells you to do rehab with.
09:34You can do rehab outside of your team.
09:36You just contractually are obliged to allow the team to keep tabs on how your rehab is going.
09:46And that's what he did not allow to happen.
09:48Why he didn't allow it to happen, I don't know.
09:50I don't know.
09:51But it cost him, per what we know now, an unprecedented amount of money lost.
09:58And even the, you know, people continue to talk about how the 49ers may go after money
10:04they've already paid him at this point.
10:06We'll see.
10:07I'm out.
10:08I think the team is likely out.
10:11Things do change.
10:12And he could be getting advice that he's following, and he's going to go on some sort of an apology
10:17tour.
10:18However, he's going to try to do what he should have done from the very beginning, apply for
10:22reinstatement, sit down like a man face-to-face with his employer, and try to get the outcome
10:28by doing it in a mature way that would allow him to be in position to play football in 2026
10:36for somebody other than the 49ers.
10:39But at this point, and I've felt this way now for a few weeks, I'm completely out as a fan.
10:45I would be disappointed at this point.
10:48Check in with me, though, because we still have a few weeks away from training camp, and
10:53he could literally try to turn around his image with a PR firm and a new agent, new representation,
10:58and talk about how he was just really hurt, and he didn't handle it well, but he's ready
11:03to play football and act like an adult.
11:05And you know what?
11:06When people have talent, they are forgiving, much more forgiving than they are when you don't
11:11have talent.
11:11And he's got talent.
11:13That's the one thing that's always made this a conversation, because if he didn't have
11:18talent, we wouldn't care.
11:20But he actually was a legitimate, you know, top 10 receiver and descending the last time
11:27he was healthy and played in the 2023 season.
