00:00hey guys doing welcome back to the morning roaster podcast this is your host caleb thompson
00:03we are coming live from new york city as we usually do everyone's having a great morning
00:07out there today uh today's episode is going to be how to stop living on autopilot so how to stop
00:14living on autopilot uh there's a lot of individuals say man once i get into a comfortable routine or
00:20once i get things flowing the way that i like to you know that helps my day to run more
00:25efficient
00:25then i like to keep things like that if it's not broke uh don't fix it but what i'm what
00:32i want to
00:32talk about is not uh creating a routine but when we talk about how to stop living on autopilot
00:40that basically means being unconscious of your uh thoughts your decisions and things that you want
00:46to do with your own particular life that's what we mean stop living on autopilot for the longest time
00:51uh rather there were some other factors that were uh some other things that were factored into it to
00:56kind of keep me sleep adornment to a certain degree but um you have to stop living on autopilot man

01:05basically a living uh blueprint that you can do whatever you want to do you you can you can really
01:12do whatever you want to do out here in this world man this is just thanks to god but what
01:17i'm saying is
01:18this time is running out you you do not have 30 40 years to be sitting around playing patty cake
01:26now 30 40 years to still be in the sandbox you do not have that time now i'm not basically
01:31saying
01:31i don't you don't have enough time to the point where you start to make these desperate decisions
01:36and start to you know harm others that do certain things you know dog eat dog world type things to
01:43get
01:43where you want to go or to become wealthy but what i am saying is this you do not have
01:47time to
01:48be inauthentic you do not have time uh to waste on discovering who you truly are that's what i mean
01:54i don't mean anybody could get money anybody could get a new car anybody could get a you know a
01:59better
02:00house and things like that some some people if you don't believe that then okay that's true whatever
02:05you believe is what's true if you see someone that believes that they can uh this week i'm gonna go
02:11and get a job you know that they can it's it's true if someone believes that nothing ever had good
02:16happens for them it's true so whatever you believe is true but when we talk about how to stop living
02:22on autopilot that means this start to take control of your mind and of your life and there's no reason
02:28let me put it like this let me put it like this man people will try to control you and
02:34things things
02:34things of that matter but what i want to tell you is you have to make a conscious decision to
02:40do
02:40whatever you want to do with your life if i say right now you know what i'm going to do
02:44i'm going
02:44to go to the store get some cucumbers and i'm going to cut them up and you know and make
02:49a certain type
02:50of dish whatever that is if i if i really believe truly believe that guess what it doesn't matter what
02:55happens nothing to be able to stop me uh and what i mean by that i stepped into it and
02:59this is what i mean
03:00by that i stepped into this situation man i had a client uh probably a couple days ago and when
03:07i
03:07was at this client's house helping this client with uh you know some services that we offer with uh this
03:12cleaning company um i was actually cleaning a particular object in that house and when i was
03:19cleaning that object in the house they end up breaking on breaking on me and uh slicing like
03:25slice of my hand and had man i was leaking like a stuck pig but the before i got there
03:31i told myself
03:32i'm going to come in here and i'm going to execute and i'm going to do whatever i came here
03:36to do and
03:37and i'm not leaving until it's done so you know what i did i wrapped my bandage my hand up
03:41while i was
03:41still leaking wrapped a couple gloves around it and act like you know and stuffed it in two gloves and
03:46i kept working you know why because i had already had a my mind was already set on making sure
03:52that i
03:52accomplished that task despite what happens i didn't know that was going to happen but i told
03:56myself before i got there i told myself before i got there that i'm going to take care of this
04:02business i'm going to uh come in here you know uh i already had my mind set on what i
04:07wanted to do
04:08and how long i wanted to take in that particular residence whether it was commercial or residential
04:12i had a particular time that i wanted to uh beat but uh by you know uh providing these services
04:18and
04:18then i was going to leave but in while doing that or in in the act of uh trying to
04:24beat the time of
04:25the goal that i had set in mind that you know something happened you know what i mean i end
04:29up
04:29busting my hand wide open on some glass you know uh but you know what i still made the time
04:34i wrapped
04:35my hand up and i continue to move forward so basically what i'm saying is that you have control
04:42of what you want to do and how you want to do it and what you want to execute you
04:45know you already do it
04:46i don't care if you if you dislike someone if you dislike someone and said oh i don't like that
04:51i don't like him let's put together a plan to destroy this person i don't care if you say i
04:56like
04:57uh flowers let me put together uh let me look up a research a place where i can go and
05:02get some roses
05:03and put them inside of my home whatever you whatever you plan to make it's it's just your mindset or
05:09your trajectory or what of what you are looking to execute you can if you can do that the other
05:15way
05:16you can you can execute bad tasks and you have bad goals or goals that are not beneficial and you
05:22can do this it's the same exact thing just aimed at a different target so it's it's same thing just
05:28just uh your timeline let me put it like this timeline jumping and timeline switching when it comes to
05:35living on autopilot pilot or taking control of your life it's just a decision you know that i can
05:41you know that i could be a person that is in complete poverty and i can uh timeline switch
05:48just by me making a decision to basically saying from this point on i'm i'm not going to be broke
05:53anymore i'm gonna do whatever i need to do or learn whatever i need to learn to make sure that
05:58i can you
05:59know and it doesn't have to be something dramatic it just learn one skill and master that skill and use
06:04it to become uh wealthy so it doesn't have to be you have to have 40 businesses you don't have
06:08to have
06:09you know uh uh uh six car lots you can find one thing maybe day trading maybe learning how to
06:15day
06:15trade uh maybe anything that you want to do maybe taking the talent of you know what i mean taking
06:20old
06:21vases or old things uh that people throw away and you know what i mean put some upholstery to it
06:27or
06:27make it your own and resell it online whatever you whatever you like to do believe me there is a
06:32market
06:32for it and what i and and this is what i'm saying so uh what i what i usually do
06:38is man uh like i
06:40said this is the morning roaster podcast this place we make your mornings matter the most we come live
06:43from uh new york city as we always do and i usually give you three talk points so i'm let's
06:48let's start
06:48with the talk points so we can stay within the confines of the time that we are set we're going
06:52to try to keep it at 15 minutes so just go ahead and just lock in this is going to
06:56be real quick it's
06:56not going to be real long and and i'm not going to drag it out but talk point number one
07:00is i
07:01become aware of my daily patterns and the truth is this you do need to have some type of routine
07:06i
07:07don't care what it is man start off small so we're talking about not living on autopilot autopilot is
07:14that you just let life take you wherever it wants to go that is very dangerous you need to start
07:20to
07:20have take start to take back small pieces of your life take back control small pieces of your life okay
07:27we know you have to go to work okay we know you have to but you need to intentionally wake
07:31up and
07:31say when i wake up i'm going to be grateful for waking up just saying man i'm glad i woke
07:35up but
07:36then you need to come up with a small routine say every morning see when i wake up in the
07:41morning i
07:41might check check the stocks check the email but the first thing i do when i wake up is i
07:46have in
07:47mind a routine to uh you know wake up be say thanks or be grateful but to also to probably
07:54make some
07:54coffee i'll probably iron my clothes that's like a small routine that i have but you know why i do
07:59that i do that to make sure that i'm in control at least of a portion of i'm just not
08:04going to go with
08:05the flow and don't have no direction to the point where i don't know what's going on i wake up
08:10and if
08:10i have nothing to do well i don't because you know the day is not always going to go the
08:15way that you
08:15want it to go i want you to understand that but you need to have at least a goal of
08:19having a small
08:20routine and that way you are taking back control of your life if you just wake up and say man
08:26whatever happens happens you are in autopilot it is easier for other outside influences to influence
08:32you to uh uh what what do they say uh covertly control you you can be living with a person
08:39that
08:40knows that you don't have any goals and you don't have anything to do and they can covertly act like
08:45what you're doing or what your ideas are are yours but they're covertly controlling you you know what
08:50i mean for their own benefit so you what you need to do is you need to at least small
08:55take small steps
08:56to take control of your your mind first but your life and how do you take control of your life
09:01by
09:02coming up with a small routine that's basically say i don't care what anyone says or anyone does this
09:07i'm going to wake up in the morning and what i'm going to do is i'm going to shave and
09:10hop in the
09:10shower every day i'm going to start right there and i'm going to shave and hop in the shower every
09:14day
09:14but until it becomes like riding a bike and then i'm going to add another small task i'm going to
09:18shave hop in the shower and make sure the dishes is clean i'm going to shave hop in the shower
09:22and
09:22then i'm going to make sure i iron my clothes and the dishes are clean and you start to build
09:26on that
09:27routine you're not just going to go from not going to go from uh uh batman to i mean you
09:33know uh clark
09:34kent to superman the next day but you start to slowly build and that is taking control of your life
09:40so you have to stop living on autopilot you know and i'm gonna tell you i'm gonna tell you something
09:46else uh that uh will help you to stop living on autopilot is just basically making little decisions
09:52like making a grocery list when you go to the store making a simple grocery list when you go to
09:58the
09:58store is basically saying i'm not going to let my stomach uh make or outweigh my budget or my eyes
10:05outweigh because i if i don't if i don't have some type of list uh do i always go according
10:09to the list
10:10no and that's like with life as well you may make some goals but it may not happen the way
10:15that you want it to happen just because something just happened throughout the day or something popped
10:19up or there's an emergency but at least you wake up with a purpose or with a goal basically saying
10:24that there's some times that i wake up and i say man i want to earn iron uh my clothes
10:28i might hop in
10:29the shower iron my clothes or you know watch the news okay that may be a small routine that i
10:34do but
10:35some days i may wake up probably 15 minutes late and i don't have to do that or i didn't
10:39get some
10:39marketing done the day before so that changes the routine but at least i woke up with a set
10:45trajectory or routine and i just had to move some things around and once i get those things taken
10:49care of i still have a goal or have something that gives me purpose rather if it's a small routine
10:54or
10:55the way i wake up in the morning you need something that gives you some type of purpose when you
10:59wake
11:00up when you wake up i don't care if you wake if you wake up and you said and i
11:04and i i'm not i'm
11:05saying it like this if you wake up in the morning you say you know what i'm gonna do i'm
11:08gonna wake
11:09up hop in the shower iron my clothes and roll a blunt i don't care i don't care if it's
11:13even if
11:13you smoke weed or you do whatever you do as long as this is a part of a routine to
11:17help you to get
11:18up and get your day started and get you towards the goal i'm not you don't have to be completely
11:23clean you don't have to but you need to start to take back small uh areas of control of your
11:29life
11:29i don't care put put that in there with the routine i'm gonna wake up turn the news on grab
11:34some coffee and roll up i don't do whatever your routine is no that's not my routine but whatever
11:39your routine is is to help you to get the ball rolling and you make sure that you stick to
11:44that
11:44routine and okay after you get the coffee after you watch the news after you roll up now you're
11:48saying okay you know what i'm gonna do i'm gonna start doing 20 push-ups a day you know what
11:51i'm
11:52saying start to do things that where you have your own personal purpose that you're chasing toward
11:58and i'm sure i'm i'm grown i make mistakes i'm not here to tell you exactly what to do and
12:04what
12:04you can do and what you to intake inside of you but that's not my that's not my um position
12:09my
12:10position is whatever gets the ball rolling whatever you don't have to completely cut everything out of
12:15your life to make sure that you can accomplish something there's millionaires out there that drink
12:19there's millionaires out there that whatever but what i'm saying is is do not let it uh integrate it
12:25into don't just try to understand what i'm saying integrate it into uh if you know that you're
12:32going to smoke anyways okay start a routine where you're headed towards something and that's that's
12:38going to be something that's going to be integrated into your plan of working out or getting up or
12:42making breakfast or whatever just add it add it in there because it's going to happen anyways and
12:47then start to build a small routine to help you to take control of your life and give your life
12:52purpose
12:52if i woke up every i some people wake up every morning just to catch the news that gives their
12:59life purpose you know what i gotta catch the news this morning i'm gonna make some coffee and i'm
13:02gonna watch the news but you know why they do that because it gives them some sense of purpose of
13:07that
13:07they are fulfilling some type of need that they have so you have to do the same thing so start
13:11to
13:11take back small portions and control of your life don't let the outside world of this and that i've got
13:17man you gotta let life is going to be life and but i start observing my habits my thoughts my
13:22routines instead of just going through them so you need to start to observe certain things that you
13:26do and start to put them in alignment with where you want to go if you want to wake up
13:30at six o'clock
13:31in the morning you know i mean you you you can't say man you know what i'm gonna start getting
13:36up at
13:36six o'clock in the morning you have to start putting uh uh precautions or parameters around that to
13:44protect that goal basically saying that i'm gonna start i'm gonna put a alarm on at uh at 5 45
13:50and
13:50i'm gonna put a uh another alarm on at uh 555 and another alarm at six o'clock you know
13:57what i mean
13:57to make sure that you can get up at that time so you know what i mean so there's certain
14:00things that
14:01you have to do to accomplish it but just put some precautions in the way i mean you know um
14:05just
14:05develop some precautions that can uh help you to uh reach that goal so you can't change what you
14:11don't first become aware of so you do need to be become aware of uh there are certain things that
14:17you want to accomplish you just don't know how to accomplish in some certain ways how you accomplish
14:21it it's just not by going after it it's starting in your own personal daily life you cannot expect
14:27the ceo to go and run a company if he cannot even get up on time and he he how
14:32do you expect him to
14:33be in control and lead a company full of 500 employees at 220 employees when his he can't even
14:41get up on time you know what i mean he's having hangovers he doesn't have his paperwork together
14:45there's a certain version of a person that you need to be to be able to uh operate at a
14:51at a level
14:52where you have responsibility for other people's lives but it all starts with your own personal life
14:56you know what i mean yeah can can you have have fun have fun while making money yes you can
15:01but
15:01you need to tune into your own personal life and start to take control of your own personal life
15:06do not be so swayed by these uh the propaganda that's in these systems man that's telling you
15:13every trend that happens man you're on it as soon as they say six seven you're six six seven six
15:17seven
15:18every trend that happens you're just you're on autopilot whatever the propaganda of the world is
15:24you're on it whatever song comes out you're on it not saying you can't enjoy these things but what i'm
15:28saying is you need to come up with a disciplined plan of things that you personally want to do
15:33yourself that it doesn't have anything to do with anyone else i don't care if it's start off small
15:38i don't care if you said man you know what man there's a new uh spaghetti italian spot up the
15:43street
15:44that i always wanted to try but you never just took it took that 20 15 dollars and put it
15:49off to the
15:49side and say you know what i'm gonna take this 15 dollars and i'm just gonna i'll go myself i'll
15:54go and
15:54i'll just and that'd be something you strike off your bucket list but you need to get used you need
15:59to get used uh to taking control and making decisions and doing things and enjoying things
16:03yourself without having to have somebody along or having to have someone to tell you what what to do
16:09or to just be on autopilot so we want to talk about staying uh getting stop living on autopilot and
16:16just
16:16letting life happen but start to take control over areas of your life awareness is the first step
16:22to taking back control of your life so you need to be aware to say man you know what it
16:26seems like
16:27i'm just going through life every day and things are not changing people get frustrated mad and bitter
16:32when they feel like they have no control of their life they feel like man life is just jumping them
16:35beating them down man i can't there's nothing they feel stuck so when they feel stuck you feel
16:41frustrated and you feel oppressed and then that causes you to uh react emotionally to a point that
16:47you know you start to be bitter and hateful so the thing the truth is this you really are not
16:52stuck
16:53that's a delusion that's uh that's a placed over you to make you feel stuck that's a mental delusion
16:59but the truth is you have the power you as an individual has the power to say right now you
17:04can
17:04you can tell just just try this exercise right now you can tell yourself i don't care if you don't
17:10have any money right now you can tell yourself you know what i'm i may not be able to do
17:15this i'm gonna get
17:16up and go to the bathroom i'm gonna get up and go outside and you go out there and do
17:19that that
17:20basically lets you know that you are not confined by anyone you have free will you can use your free
17:24will i can say right now i cannot have anything in my fridge and i can say you know what
17:29i'm i can
17:30just use my free will see man i'm gonna stick my hand in the freezer and see i see how
17:34long i can
17:35keep it in there before it gets too cold for me to pull it out just doing stupid stuff but
17:39that's my
17:39free will i can do whatever i want to do with it so the basically i want you to understand
17:43that
17:43you have free will you can you can totally transform a shape the trajectory of your life
17:51just by using your free will you know i can say right now you know what man there's nothing to
17:55do
17:56i can jump on a train and i can go to the beach you know what i can go to
18:00the beach right now even if i
18:01had no money i don't care if i had to jump the train i could still right now go to
18:05the beach if i
18:06wanted to because i'm bored you know i should somebody open the gate you know this is plenty of times
18:11where i didn't even have the subway fare to get to a certain place and as soon as i got
18:16there the
18:16gate was open you know because i have already set up set in my mind to make sure i got
18:20to a certain
18:20place i didn't have to jump the gate or nothing just it just happened in alignment because i just
18:25believed it man i'm gonna make i'm gonna get there so there's plenty of times that once you start
18:29to move or once you start to put forth the action things will start to align uh in connection
18:34with your will you know what i mean people people talk about manifesting people talk about the
18:40universe and then yeah the universe is abundant but the you you the universe aligns with the person
18:46the person god created the the person to be dominant over everything that's on this earth and that's even
18:52the spirits within this earth the the the human being who was made in the likeness of god has control
18:58that's why your words are so powerful whether you curse somebody or whether you speak life your words
19:02are powerful you're just a powerful person people don't understand that and also once you make a
19:08decision or once the intents of your heart have already been set on a certain thing this is just
19:13the anatomy the spiritual anatomy of a human being once your mind has already been set or the intents
19:18of your heart has already been set on a certain thing as long as it doesn't override the uh
19:26override the ruling of the highest spiritual court which is the most how long as it doesn't override
19:30that you can basically do anything or do whatever you want to do with your free will
19:34as long as it just doesn't bypass the highest level of authority to a certain to a certain degree
19:39and sometimes you know it it's allowed but what i'm what i'm saying is you can basically do whatever
19:45you want to do with what with your life because as a human being and made in the image of
19:49god and made
19:50with the power knowing the power of words knowing the power of the mind and manifestation everything
19:56in this earth has to align with what you want to do will it always happen no there's going to
20:01be
20:01some resistance just to make sure that you want it but it's going you have to start to understand that
20:07uh resistance is going to happen listen it's going to happen but you you can do whatever you want to
20:14do so talk point number two because i want to stay within the uh time so talk point number two
20:19we're
20:19going to do these last two kind of quickly uh talk point number two i intentionally pause uh before
20:24moving throughout my day intentionally uh pause i've learned to slow down mentally so i'm just not reacting
20:29to everything around me and you should practice that too instead of rushing through the day
20:33uh take moments to uh reset and realign so i do that as well sometimes i rest while i work
20:39and they say how do you rest while you work yeah you ever seen uh have you ever seen a
20:42chef eat while
20:43you cook yeah he'll sit there and he'll taste who and they say man you don't want a plate you're
20:47not
20:47hungry you know you ever seen your mom uh um your mom or your dad cook and then when they
20:54feed everyone
20:55else and then they don't have a plate you know why because they've been tasting and eating the food
20:58they've been resting and eating and chilling while they're cooking and preparing so you need to find
21:03ways to still be able to move forward while still resting you know what i'm saying and that you can
21:07use small things you know what i'm saying to balance that out rather than listening to music
21:11or listen to something you like while you work and it's uh it balance it out as a uh work
21:17and rest
21:17uh duo so instead of rush throughout the day take times to uh realign uh that small pause gives you
21:24clarity and direction instead of chaos you know take a break if you need a break man don't burn
21:30yourself out talk point number three i start living on purpose instead of routine alone so you do need
21:34routine but at the same time that routine helps to set the foundation for the purpose so basically you
21:42say man i don't even know what why i'm here or what i like to do or what i feel
21:46like i'm on this earth
21:47for first first thing you need to understand or you need to you need to start doing things now i'm
21:52not saying just do anything don't get me wrong i was about to say something else but you don't need
21:57to just start doing it but start to do things and as you start to do certain types just do
22:03something
22:03that you always wanted to do that you've never done you know when somebody say man you know what man
22:08that is so that shows look fun i always wanted to learn how to play piano go get you a
22:13cheap 20
22:14dollar piano and and and watch 30 watch so watch 20 minutes on youtube and you you would get a
22:21little rhythm going you're deemed whatever the sound is on there and you and you you'll fall in
22:27love with it that doesn't mean you have to be a professional at it that's just something that you
22:30marked off your bucket list you know i don't want to play one song on the piano when you have
22:34no time
22:34you go play on it and ticker on it or whatever but there's something scratched off your bucket list
22:38you can start to fulfill things in your life but once you start to fulfill those small things and start
22:43to understand you start to get more of an awareness of what you like what you don't like
22:48how can you tell me somebody tell you can tell me right now man i this is the best this
22:52is the best
22:53uh chocolate cake is the best cake on this side of the hudson now i would say you you can
22:58say whatever
22:58you want to say but until i taste it you know i'm just not going to say yep you know
23:02what man that
23:03chocolate cake is the best cake on this side i'm not going to agree with that because i i wouldn't
23:07be
23:07honest but you have to try to taste taste and then you can really figure out and really have that
23:12experience of what you like and what you truly don't like stop going along with everybody says
23:16that oh this song is this song is fire yeah okay yeah the song sounds good i like to be
23:21but i'm not
23:22as engrossed you know or emerged into it like you you know what i'm saying yes the good song is
23:28cool but
23:28it's okay to disagree with people you don't have to agree with everybody just to make everybody happy
23:32you don't you need to start to figure out what you like and start to it's okay to disagree people
23:38think that if i don't get along and if i don't fit in you know people are going to hate
23:43me
23:44people you need to understand that we can still be cool and we can still be friends without us agreeing
23:49how can how can how can i say i don't like i don't like ice cream but you're trying to
23:54convince me that
23:54ice cream is the best thing that ever happened since planet earth and i'm still telling you i don't
23:59like ice cream and now you don't you don't want to be cool cool because i don't like ice cream
24:03and you
24:03do that's something that's immature that mean that person just is really really not your friend
24:08the next thing that happens and you don't agree with them they want to they want to uh talk behind
24:12your back that means you don't need to be around that person if that person cannot understand that
24:17you guys can disagree and still be cool you know what i'm saying you guys can disagree and still be
24:22friends you guys can disagree i don't have to like what you like you know what i mean we wasn't
24:26raised
24:26the same we didn't come from the same background even though we was probably raised in the same town
24:30we don't have the same culture we don't we didn't come from the same traditions we're cool because
24:34we found a point i don't care what it is however we bonded or however we uh came into friendship
24:40but
24:40that doesn't mean that every aspect of my life has to align with yours for us to be cool and
24:45us to
24:46have a cool conversation it's a it's a it's okay for it's okay if you tell me that a 67
24:51chevy is better
24:52than a 72 dodge challenger you know what i mean we're not going to always agree but i don't believe
24:57that
24:57that's the best muscle car that ever came out you know it's okay not to agree but that doesn't mean
25:02we want to kill each other you know what i mean or act like we're having a long family feud
25:06it's okay
25:07to disagree and still be cool and um and still move on with your life but i choose actions uh
25:13i choose
25:14actions that align with who i want to become not just what i'm doing what i used to do so
25:20you know
25:21everything and this is one of the hardest things that is that you ever you are ever going to have
25:24to
25:25face it's it's not the it's not your baby mama that's driving you crazy it's not your baby daddy
25:31driving you crazy it's not your family that's driving you crazy it's it's it's you you you are
25:38your main you are your worst enemy you just you it's you versus you i don't care what someone else
25:44does somebody can come and punch me in the face but i'm gonna have to battle myself i'm gonna have
25:48to
25:49make the make the decision me myself on is it worth throwing away everything that i've built
25:54for me to do something and lose my anger and go to prison for the rest of my life
25:59or is or i need to start learning how to duck and dodge or something but you it's going to
26:05be and i'm
26:05just using this as an analogy but there's going to be some times that life is going to punch you
26:09in
26:10your face and it's going to punch you in your face so it's going to knock you down so that
26:13you can
26:13make a decision that's built on maturity it's teaching you how to make mature and wise decisions
26:18that will not destroy what you're trying to build or the family you're trying to build you know you
26:23get in one argument uh with your wife or with your husband the toast is burnt and now you want
26:27to get
26:28a divorce you about to ruin 18 years of marriage over some burnt toast no there's a deal there's some
26:33you know what i mean but i'm tired of arguing with you every time the toast you we need to
26:36get to the
26:37deeper issue but do not destroy what you're trying to build or what you're trying to do with in your
26:41life based off those moments that uh that uh come to trigger you when you're when you're already
26:47irritated when things are not going your way those things are put there to help you to make
26:51mature decisions and that's helping you to not live on autopilot but taking small increments of
26:57small choices and start to take back the power of your life so you break autopilot by adding mean
27:03meaning to your daily choices so if you want to break out of autopilot if you don't want to just
27:08go with
27:09the flow you don't want to do what everyone else is doing the first thing you need to do is
27:12you need
27:12to own up to what you like you know what i mean you just need to own up to it
27:18you know i listen to
27:20country music i don't care what it is if it's your music style if it's you know i mean every
27:25time you go
27:25around your friends they smoking weed you don't even like you don't even like to smell it but you
27:29smoking because everybody else smoking but you're more of a drink or you might you know i mean you might
27:34drink wine you might but you want to just get along with everyone so stop stop smoke tell them no
27:40i
27:40don't i don't smoke you got something to drink now i'm not like i'm saying i'm not uh encouraging any
27:45of this but i'm saying as as adults and as human beings what i'm basically saying is this stop doing
27:52things just to get along with people that are hurting yourself you know what i mean i'm not gonna
27:56i'm not gonna go uh subway surfing just to be cool and risk risk my life just to get just
28:02to get
28:02some high fives that's the same thing with life you know life is going to take you on the ride
28:06and
28:06don't do what everybody else is doing and don't do things that that causes you to compromise uh
28:12your body or how you feel or certain things that you like to do just just to be accepted some
28:17people
28:17are just gonna have to understand and love you for you there's a group of people out there that's
28:20gonna be like this that's gonna be right up your alley they're gonna like exactly how weird you
28:25are they're gonna like the weird you they're gonna like the real weird you they trust me i saw i
28:30saw a
28:31down uh canal street i didn't know if he was a i didn't know if he was a goat duck
28:37i heard looking
28:39all crazy out of fish in that zone i didn't know what was going on with the guy but guess
28:43what he
28:44had a group of friends with him that was halfway dressed the same way he was and some of them
28:48wasn't you know what i mean so no matter how weird he looked to me but somebody those group of
28:53friends still loved him for who he was loved him exactly how weird he was so you know what i
28:57mean
28:57you cannot tell me that you being your true authentic self and being who you are you're not
29:01going to find a group of people that's going to love you for you and you have to and the
29:05way to do
29:06that is to stop living on autopilot stop going with the trends doing what everyone else wants you to
29:10do trying to fit in and start to take back control of your life this is the morning roster podcast
