00:08great day out there uh we are coming live from new york city as we always do and i'm gonna

00:14a good one for you guys today uh today we're gonna be talking about how to slow down without
00:20falling behind how to slow down without falling behind i'm gonna give you three talk points as i
00:26usually do uh we're gonna try to make this quick but uh i want it to be also effective as
00:32well so i
00:33want you guys to listen and uh excuse me i needed that uh i need you guys to uh listen
00:42tune in
00:43because we're about to do some work okay so i'm gonna give you three talk points like i usually
00:49doing this for the sake of time but uh talk point number one you don't have to be busy to
00:56be
00:56productive so that's something i really want you to understand uh you don't have to be busy to be
01:02productive man and and a lot of times you can be busy and still not make and still not be
01:07productive
01:08you know there's a lot of times uh have you ever heard of like a busy body somebody that's always
01:12doing this and always doing that and always over here and over here and then this person's business
01:17and then going here and talking about that's a busy body you know some you can be very busy you
01:23can have a lot of friends you can have a lot of conversations you can you can uh uh go
01:28to a lot
01:29of places you could you know and still uh not achieve anything the main things that you need to get
01:36get done in life that's going to move your life forward you can do a lot of nothing you can
01:41you can go
01:42you can go nowhere fast you know you know i'm saying so this episode where we're talking
01:47about is how to slow down without falling behind but we're not talking about how to slow down without
01:51falling behind if you are behind and you're not doing anything to uh make to uh be productive or to
01:59uh move the needle forward in your personal life this doesn't have this does not have to be tailored to
02:05uh you up owning or operating a business or you having some type of platform this is just we're just
02:11going to we're just going to narrow this down to your own personal life not not you and your spouse
02:17not you and your your children even though you don't being a mother or father is part of your
02:22personal life but we're talking about you as an individual apart from everyone else apart from the
02:27world apart from the outside uh noise you as an individual so i want you to know you don't you
02:34do not
02:34have to be busy to be productive so a lot of times uh this is this is the goal man
02:40this is something
02:41that uh i was taught uh by being being a business owner uh your your job is to work work
02:50work yourself
02:51or or to replace yourself let me put it like that your job is to replace yourself you know why
02:56there's
02:57a lot of people that's busy doing uh doing things uh but not not getting anywhere it's for the simple
03:03fact that they are scared to replace themselves they feel like if i teach someone this skill set
03:08if i teach someone this skill set they're going to replace me and then i'm not going to have any
03:12purpose or i'm not going to have anything to do and that's a lot of time in friend groups too
03:16so i'm
03:17going to tell you something something something is somebody in a friend group and they want to be the
03:20messiest one in the friend group they always want to have the tea they always want to have uh good
03:25news
03:26bad news good news or whatever they always want to be that focal point when it comes to people uh
03:31being a
03:31source for some type of news so it keeps them relevant they feel like man if somebody else
03:36comes in and they you know have some type of similar you know uh characteristic that could uh
03:43turns people attend turn individuals attention in the friend group to them then they start a smear
03:48campaign or they try to move that person out of the way now i don't know why i got on
03:52this in
03:52in particular but it's for somebody so but what i want you to know is
03:57there are so many skills talents and uh uh gifts within a person that you don't need you don't
04:05you don't need to be liked by anybody to be successful you don't you don't need to have
04:10a friend group to make yourself feel feel good what you need to do is you need to find some
04:16you need to
04:17find yourself you need to figure out exactly what if i have to perform and able uh uh and able
04:23to uh be
04:24a part of a group i have to perform i have to do now don't don't get me wrong don't
04:28get me wrong
04:29here there's a difference between performing and uh and uh assuming uh and executing the roles and
04:37responsibilities of being a good friend now you if you say you're a good friend then you have to you
04:42have to uh you know assume those and and execute on those roles and tasks and responsibilities of being
04:49a good friend you know being there for a person when they really need you not not forsaking them in
04:53those hard moments uh being able to talk through uh things that uh you you don't agree with i don't
05:00agree with what you're doing but i'm still i'm still your friend i'm still here for you now you're
05:04going to make decisions that you're going to make i can't control your life but my job is to be
05:07here
05:07for you and rather you crash or burn or rather it becomes successful it's not my job to judge it's
05:13my
05:13job to uh be there for you despite what you do so you know and to a certain extent as
05:18long as it's not
05:19hurting me you know what i mean now if the decisions you're making are uh hurt me either
05:24intentionally or or or not intentionally or uh you know unintentionally then you know what i mean uh
05:30we're gonna talk about that but other than that that's the that's the thing but a lot of times you
05:36can be busy let me put it like this i'm gonna keep it short okay we're at five okay um
05:41you can be
05:42busy and not be productive you can go nowhere fast but you do not need to be busy to be
05:47productive
05:48uh especially when you uh have targeted goals this is how you be very productive without being busy
05:57so have targeted goals today i'm going to do this this and this these well i i just say if
06:04i make a list
06:05of 10 things that i need to do i prioritize that list what things need to be done right now
06:09at this
06:10immediate moment and what can i do to accomplish these things sometimes there's some things that
06:15need to be done right now but you just can't do it so you have to go down the list
06:20okay what i can do
06:21okay i can't do this i can't do this it needs to be done but right now at this moment
06:25i can't i can't
06:27tackle that so what's next okay yeah well i can i can clean the house i can go i can
06:32go here i can run
06:33run run here and run i can do the all the other things uh that i have the power and
06:38ability to do
06:39uh so you can do that rather it's making a call to get information sometimes the internet doesn't
06:44have the information you need so you have to may have to sit on the phone for 30 minutes just
06:49to
06:49get a piece of information to move your life forward and that tests your patience so you know i i
06:54sometimes
06:54you know dealing with uh uh real estate and uh like city phips and things like that so i had
07:01to call
07:02i had to uh i tried to call could call certain certain places uh here in new york city so
07:07what i have to do
07:08is you have to sacrifice 30 minutes a year time uh to get a piece of information that's going to
07:12help
07:12move your life forward for the next year two years so sometimes you have to sacrifice those 30 minutes
07:18to sacrifice that that uh that hour sitting on it you don't want to but sometimes you have to do
07:24that
07:24but you don't have to feel every moment of your day uh to be effective you do not have to
07:29feel every
07:30moment of your day to be effective there's some things that i can do i can really sit you know
07:35just
07:36because i have mastered a certain type of craft and uh certain aspects of time management
07:41i don't i can sit and watch movies in the evening i couldn't do that at first you know uh
07:46i i rarely
07:47watch tv anyways you know sometimes the tv just basically watches me but uh i got to a point where
07:53i mastered the craft and and and i uh you know i i mastered a certain type of craft to
08:02the point that
08:03it comes effortlessly to me it didn't just happen overnight but i got to a point where
08:07it's effortless and also if i needed to take a call i could do more than one thing at the
08:12same time
08:13but um i got to a point that i don't i don't need to have my entire day booked for
08:18me to be effective
08:19i do everything that i need to do early in the morning may take a couple calls here and there
08:23and then you know i'll find out is there anything else that i could do to uh move this business
08:29forward is there anything else that i can do uh to uh move my life forward today what no matter
08:35what that may be so uh and then um and then i'm done for the day you know i'm done
08:41i i don't or i
08:42just may space it out uh throughout the day is just how i feel that day but focus on what
08:48really uh
08:49truly truly what really truly matters uh instead of trying to do everything at once so uh when you
08:58slow down and you give yourself the space to do things better uh not just faster
09:04yeah so you need to slow down in some aspects of life and some and sometimes you you you don't
09:11just give me one second okay here we go we're back okay um so uh when you slow down you
09:18give
09:18yourself time and space to do things better uh not just faster now you can do things faster and
09:23still be at it uh and still operate at peak performance uh just because you've taken the
09:28time to really master that skill set so i'm not talking about don't just do things fast and sloppy
09:34uh to the point where you get a bad review or do things fast and sloppy just to get it
09:39done now we
09:40call that uh sweeping it under the rug instead of you properly cleaning a area uh you just sweep it
09:46under the rug and it looks clean so we're not talking about that we're talking about really taking the
09:50time to really uh uh uh structure uh your life and develop the the discipline to uh execute those
09:58things in a way that it doesn't have to be fast or quick and that's why you you do not
10:03need to
10:03compare yourself to anyone else if you see someone man oh in two weeks man they got in two weeks
10:08they
10:09got they got a car you know you're comparing you comparing yourself in two weeks they got this done
10:13you know so the reason why they're getting things done is because i'm gonna tell i'm gonna i'm gonna
10:18help you to and then let's not go okay let's not go to i'll save that for another time uh
10:23so uh just
10:25for time's sake uh yeah we'll we'll put that on the next one okay so but anyways when you slow
10:30down
10:31you give yourself time to space to do things better uh real productivity uh comes from intention
10:36not constant motion so uh if you really want to be productive man you have to have intention of
10:41what you're trying to do you have to have a goal to hit you have to have a target to
10:45hit
10:48just being busy is not gonna uh help you in life you know what i mean so you can you
10:53can chill all
10:54day you can go to work come home you can go to work come home pay bills that is not
10:59what you were
11:00created to do now i'm not saying everyone wants to be an entrepreneur but what i am saying that you
11:04were not created to go to work like a slave be oppressed uh have all your energy drained come home
11:11pay bills you know and then go to sleep and do it all over again no that's the matrix no
11:17that's not
11:17what you're supposed to do there's a gift or something that is placed on the inside of you
11:21that you have to uh you have to dig it up i don't care if it's man something that you
11:26um love to do
11:28man uh whatever it is man knitting knitting if you like to if you like to play video games man
11:34find a
11:34way to monetize it i'm not against anyone playing video games i'm just against them not monetizing
11:40don't don't don't have a family don't have a family uh a wife and a kid and you know your
11:49wife goes to
11:50work and things like that we're just sitting at home all day playing video games if you're going
11:53to be on the video game all day you need to find a way to make money from doing that
11:57either you need
11:58to start a a stream where you uh you need to invest in yourself where you stream yourself playing
12:04these video games so you can get some views some likes and you can uh monetize that you know what
12:08i mean you can make money from it don't just sit at home on your butt playing video games for
12:1316 hours
12:14out of the day you know you know and then you know i mean you're acting like someone else is
12:19the problem
12:21like you know what i mean find a way to monetize that so i'm not against i'm not against uh
12:25that and
12:25and even if i was you can do whatever you want to do with your life you know it's not
12:29on me to judge
12:29you but i'm just trying to find ways that you can be productive without really trying to be
12:34busy uh another way to be productive without without really being busy uh business wise is
12:39probably a vending company now you want to start a vending machine company man start with two small
12:44vending machines put them in certain areas you can sit on your butt and you can make money while you
12:47sleep you put them in some good areas so you know uh or or just making a list of things
12:57you need to do
12:58ahead of time you know just making a list of things you need to do ahead of time you know
13:02is uh
13:03is it's can have you being very productive man uh with with my kids man what i what i used
13:09to do is
13:10when they were a lot younger i used to uh do everything at night the day before you know what
13:15i mean i'll take their clothes out and earn it i'll i'll you know uh do do their hair the
13:20best best i
13:20could and and wrap it up i would you know what i mean they would take a bath in the
13:24night before
13:25you know what i mean and and all these things so they were fully prepared so when they got up
13:29in
13:29the morning all i had to do was brush their teeth probably eat you know eat eat some cereal or
13:33whatever and then i'm taking them to school so and that kept me from having to really be busy but
13:38it
13:38was a very productive you know so uh planning ahead also helps as well uh talk point number two
13:45protect your energy not just your time so this is a big thing here uh everybody knows this is big
13:52energy is the real currency energy is the real currency you can be wealthy you can be rich and
13:58you can be uh your energy could be funky you know what i'm saying i hate to say it like
14:04that but energy
14:04is the real currency energy never dies energy just flows uh there's uh different uh types of energy
14:12you know as i can say as i can say there's different types of energy and the way that you
14:16capture the
14:17essence of energy is uh it matters what action and intention is put forth so if i'm you know why
14:25it's a murderous energy is able to to uh be in your atmosphere or penetrate you uh either through
14:32music or something like that is because the intention behind the music is what uh is what's
14:37penetrating into your spirit that energy of the intention behind those words of what you're hearing
14:42and also know some some people don't have to say anything you can find a person that's really uh
14:48operating in their element and in that moment uh being in that atmosphere of that person operating in that
14:55element that energy that specific positive energy of operating in your element or what you truly do
15:03or operating in purpose uh gives a uh a potent is a potent energy at that at that uh moment
15:10of them
15:10operating at that particular point so it there's different types of energy you have someone that's
15:15thinking about finances you can have someone thinking about uh bliss you can have someone
15:19thinking about either good love you know i mean being married having a happy house uh uh you can find
15:25someone thinking of so there are different types of energies it just matter which one uh do you capture
15:30i'm not i'm saying create your own energy uh we are on a bioelectric field so we can create our
15:35own
15:36energy at any time just by intention and thought so the same way that someone can think something
15:41negative and then it could affect their own universe or affect their own life you can think something
15:46positive and turn your life around just like that um just by the intention so uh energy is intention
15:53that's it it's it's being conscious and aware of any of a specific intention and you wanting to bring
16:00that uh using that energy to to bring that uh certain reality into your life so it's it's it's
16:07not it's not hard it's just intention man whatever you intend to do man and sometimes your intention
16:12once you get to a point where you operate and uh operate at a certain level where uh your default
16:17sentence not your default sentence is that when you rewire your brain from the way that you were raised
16:23the way that your neighborhood tried to make you uh think or feel and the way that your parents you
16:29know
16:30what i mean anything that was passed down from different generations once you rewire your brain
16:35once you rewire your brain uh that is now your default sentence so just say that you you you grow
16:42a little
16:43bit and something happens and when you hit a hard spot you don't go all the way back to the
16:48way that
16:49you were raised you you go back to your default sentence from the rewiring of your brain so you know
16:55what i mean so just think if i always thought man it was always hard to get money
16:59after i rewired my brain and understood consciousness and understood intention and things
17:05like that now when something happens that's wrong i take it as you know what this is a test
17:10this is a test and once this test is passed then more more will more will come these things are
17:15needed
17:15so now i don't go all the way back to being depressed and sad and oh man and nothing ever
17:20works
17:20man who cares man you got to keep going this is a test things happen you know what i mean
17:25people
17:25have bad intentions towards you there's different energies different blockers you know what i mean
17:29things like that your job is to do what you need to do to continue to move forward uh every
17:34day
17:35despite what happens so protect your energy not just your time pay attention to your energy levels
17:40your best work comes when you feel focused and clear and i'm gonna tell you what your best work
17:45comes when you feel focused and clear but there's going to be need to be some times where you need
17:49to
17:49operate at a peak performance and operate at a high caliber without you being focused without you
17:55being clear you know what i mean when you get to that point where it's just like someone you know
17:59i've been i've been surrounded i've got grew up on a military base in killeen texas uh with my brother
18:05you know it was the e5 uh staff sergeant uh so uh you know i grew up on a military
18:10base
18:11but the thing is when you are able to operate under under pressure uh that is the that is where
18:18uh
18:20a different version of you was born so like we just like we just talked about you know uh your
18:25best
18:25work comes when you're focused and clear but i know some people who their best work comes when they're
18:30being shot at you know i mean their best work comes when they're under it seems like they need the
18:35pressure to operate uh at peak performance without pressure it just seems like you know what i mean
18:40this is fun you know so but to some people who's not doesn't have that mentality yeah you do need
18:47to
18:47get to a place of peace you do need to center in and you do need to stay focused and
18:52operate with
18:53a clear mind how do you have a clear mind anything that's negative anything that you can't change
18:57anything that you don't have the power to change uh with your own uh power will emotions connections
19:04money there's some things money can't change there's some things connections can't change there's some
19:08things that you know uh you know a conversation cannot change it's still going to be the same
19:14despite what you say what you how you pray uh what what you do is still going to be the
19:21same some
19:21things cannot change you know it's going to take something else to change it or it's just that is uh
19:27set in stone it's just the the universal god's intention for it to happen there's nothing no one can do
19:32about it uh uh and it's stuck like that so but give yourself permission to rest without feeling
19:39guilty so i work so much uh to the point that now i've learned to rest while working you know
19:45what i
19:45mean so some people say have you ever been in this and i learned this from being a chef so
19:51when i was a
19:52chef i used to work 16 hours you know what i mean 16 hour days uh i would work my
19:57regular 12 hour
19:57chef doing breakfast lunch to get uh go in at four o'clock in the morning probably get off at
20:0110
20:01at night and i did this daily i did this daily uh four o'clock in the morning go and
20:07prep breakfast
20:07you know it was at the best
