03:00Crime fighting is everybody's business.
03:03We are all in board.
03:19Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago, on to our global audience as well.
03:23This is Beyond The Tape.
03:25I'm your host, Whitney Husband.
03:26Today is Friday.
03:27Yes, it is.
03:28It's the end of yet another work week.
03:30And we pray that we're entering into the weekend, that we don't get any bad news.
03:35And, of course, anyone is in fear of their lives or in situations that we hope that persons wouldn't end
03:41up in.
03:42Now, we still have more information when it comes to the two-year-old in Tobago, where the search continues,
03:49where the persons are out, the different agencies are out, when it comes to the two-year-old Tobias Plaza,
03:56who is still missing.
03:57And, of course, we'll continue to follow up and get more updates on that.
04:00Along with that, in the meanwhile, there was a body of a man who was reported missing as well and
04:07was found in the waters of Tobago on Friday.
04:11He was identified as Daniel McLean.
04:14And we know that Captain Ramberat and his team, they were also present and they were able to identify the
04:22individual and get the body out of the water.
04:25I mean, condolences to the family at this time.
04:28Now, today is Friday, so there's only mean once thing.
04:30We have our officer, the man who is here to guide us accordingly, ASV Russell.
04:36Good evening to you, sir.
04:37Good evening, Ms. Hospice, good evening, Trinidad and Tobago, and to our international viewers on behalf of the Commissioners of
04:43Police, Deputy Commissioners, Assistant Commissioners, and First and Second Division Officers of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
04:51Yes.
04:52So, it's Friday.
04:53It's Friday, yes, indeed.
04:55And we have a lot to dive into.
04:57Of course.
04:57So, let's go straight into a video here where somewhere in Arima area, this unfolded, and you spoke about this
05:04yesterday.
05:05So, let's take a look.
05:09I am the owner of the weekend.
05:11I borrowed 800 dollars.
05:13I started this town.
05:14We started this very fast.
05:17I came to get my red card.
05:18I'm going to somewhere now.
05:20I left it at a level now.
05:22Let's go.
05:23I like to have it, please.
05:26We're going down a road here, please.
05:28This thing, this thing, this thing going down for now.
05:30Yeah.
05:31Yeah.
05:32Yeah.
05:32Yeah.
05:37Ladies, my shop is costing the identical amount of money I spent.
05:41You want to get this some of the ones you don't have it here?
05:47Let me do it in a, in a organized way, please.
05:51Yes, sir.
05:51I beg in.
05:52Yes, sir.
05:53I know why I beg in here now.
05:55He is talking to you.
05:56All right.
05:57All right.
06:02Lady, I've just tried the items here.
06:03I told you, I said, bring it back.
06:06I'm going to use my hand if I know I'm holding.
06:08You told us, bro.
06:09You told us, bro.
06:09You told us, bro.
06:09You told us, bro.
06:10You told us, bro.
06:10You told us, bro.
06:10You told us, bro.
06:11Lady, all right?
06:11I'm going to use my refund.
06:12I'm going to get the item.
06:13I borrowed the money.
06:24Lady, I'm going to go on the road.
06:30Please, stop back in here.
06:34Yes, sir.
06:35Miss Husbands, Miss Husbands, do you recognize what the gentleman placed on the counter?
06:42I thought it was his wallet at first.
06:44Okay.
06:45And what again, you thought?
06:46No, well, after I realized it, it wasn't that.
06:48What was it?
06:49A firearm.
06:50What was it?
06:50A firearm.
06:51Good.
06:52Yet still, we are hearing a clarion call.
06:55It's this great call.
06:56Yes.
06:56Issue firearms.
06:58Issue firearms.
06:59And remember, I spoke about the responsibility that comes with being a firearm holder?
07:05Yes.
07:05And I would warn the TTPS, and I hope the TTPS is doing the proper investigation to have that
07:12if you are revoked.
07:13That is nonsense.
07:15In addition to which, what again you saw, somebody pick it up.
07:19Yes.
07:19That person not being a firearm or an FUL holder could, at the point in time, be charged
07:25for possession of a firearm and ammunition.
07:28Because it's not the holder.
07:29Because they have no authority to have a firearm or any ammunition in their possession.
07:34So, that person will pick it up and secure it.
07:38At that point in time, that individual is in possession of firearm and ammunition.
07:44So, it should have been left on the counter?
07:47He should not have done that in the first place.
07:49It should have been left on the counter.
07:50He should not have done that in the first place.
07:53I hope the necessary investigation takes place.
07:56I hope that we would have already retrieved the photos and that, because that is a, that
08:00could also have to come on assault.
08:03What is the purpose?
08:04Fear, intimidation.
08:05What is the purpose?
08:06Tell me what, you know, Antibagos.
08:07So, what justified his actions?
08:11When the only time you have, you ought to draw your firearm is when your life or the life
08:18of someone else is in immediate danger.
08:20Was anybody's life in danger there?
08:22No, no, no.
08:23Is it, could you say it's age?
08:25Age?
08:25Yeah.
08:26The frustration of, of what was transpiring.
08:30My husband, I am not even thinking about the frustration, because sometimes some drivers
08:35will give you some drive on the road and you become very frustrated.
08:38They wonder in what sense could happen, you know.
08:41So, if that is our response as a mature country to everything, then, then, then what?
08:47I was so disappointed.
08:49And situations like these, just as I saw when one police engage in corrupt activity, we see
08:55the whole police service corrupt.
08:57Situations like these is why the commissioner have to take his time and do his due diligence
09:03and ensure that the psychometric test is completed, ensure that proper investigation takes place,
09:10proper background check takes place, proper, let me tell you this, having a fireman in your
09:15possession makes you very careful.
09:19Some might even want to say you're a coward, you know.
09:24It comes with great responsibility.
09:26I hope the necessary investigations are completed, and that is revoked.
09:31I, I...
09:32And the necessary charges are preferred.
09:35No, Ms. Husbands, we have to make examples of persons, yes.
09:39I mean, I mean...
09:40Well, I mean...
09:41Well, I mean nothing.
09:42Yeah.
09:43I mean nothing.
09:43The same way the courts get blize to the criminal elements.
09:48Ms. Husbands, what if in taking that audit accidentally went off?
09:52Yeah, it didn't.
09:53And injured someone.
09:55It didn't.
09:58That was advocate too much?
10:01Ms. Husbands, I hope that that gentleman is watching the program as well, and I hope
10:06that the TTPS sees the video, and that we, we, we engage in a robust investigation, and
10:14let the chips fall away with me.
10:15Well, let's see how it goes.
10:17I shall we might get an update with that.
10:18Now, speaking of updates from the TTPS, we have a media release where the TTPS advises you,
10:23the public, on a security matter at Piyako International Airport, ASP.
10:28You can tell us more.
10:28Yes, let me give you the official media release.
10:30The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service wishes to advise the national community that a security-related matter involving a cargo
10:37aircraft at the Piyako International Airport on Thursday, the 14th of May, 2026, is currently engaging the attention of the
10:45state security agencies.
10:47In keeping with the heightened security posture, under the ongoing state of emergency routine checks, identified irregularities requiring immediate precautionary
10:58action.
10:58The aircraft was secured, the crew accounted for, and all relevant national security units activated in accordance with established protocols.
11:08At no time was there any threat to the traveling public, airport operations, or the wider national community.
11:17The situation remained calm, controlled, and professionally managed.
11:22This matter now forms part of an active multi-agency national security investigation.
11:29In light of recent intelligent assessments and international security obligations, no further operational details can be released at this time.
11:38When the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service assures the public that all necessary measures are being taken to safeguard the
11:47Republic of Trinidad and Tobago, additional information will be provided only when it is safe.
11:56All right.
11:57Now, it's always good to highlight positivity.
12:00Of course.
12:00And it's also amazing seeing the young people, school children in particular, being portrayed in a negative light.
12:06And this picture is so heartwarming.
12:09I'm smiling because I saw it.
12:11I'm smiling.
12:12Yes.
12:12Because we're seeing some school boys here pre-year-old for an exam.
12:15Yes.
12:15And it's a beautiful sight because it shows that among the minority of those who may tarnish a school or
12:24try to, the majority is not like that.
12:27Mr. Husband, I feel so proud to see that there.
12:31I smile.
12:32It warmed my heart.
12:34I was almost at tears.
12:35Yes.
12:36Because, you know, we are so quick to, you know, give up on the youth of the nation and wash
12:40our mouths on them.
12:41Yes.
12:41And it just is really, really positive.
12:44And I want to commend their parents.
12:47Because their parents, even though they are not there in the picture, they would have played quite a substantial role.
12:55Powerful picture.
12:55So that their children, they are not ashamed to say their prayers in public.
13:00And I really hope that they do well.
13:02And this is what we want to see from the youth of the nation.
13:06Yes.
13:06And these are the leaders of, I wish I knew the school.
13:08Yes.
13:09If anyone could tell us.
13:10Yes.
13:10If we were in the, um, actually phone lines, that someone could let us know what school it is.
13:14Right?
13:15Well, that was a proud moment.
13:15Because it's a beautiful moment to see.
13:17And it encourages the others to show that you could do the same.
13:20It gives me hope.
13:21Yes.
13:22A lot of hope.
13:22Yep.
13:23So, at this time, let's take a look at what's making our SOE update as of today, May 15, 2026.
13:30Number of operations, 5,465.
13:33Number of targets, priority offenders, 1,699.
13:39Searches conducted, 2,712.
13:42Traffic operations, 3,203.
13:45Total persons arrested, 2,414.
13:49Total persons charged, 498.
13:54Firearms recovered, we're seeing an increase for the pistols, giving us a total of 148.
13:59Ammunition recovered, an increase of the 9mm rounds, and it's giving us a total of 3,127.
14:07And dangerous drug seized, grams of cannabis, and cocaine continue to rise.
14:13Continue to rise.
14:14Yes, we see the similar situation, and I know I will continue to repeat it.
14:18Guns, firearms, ammunition, and dangerous drugs.
14:24You know.
14:25And maybe we need to change the slogan from if we see something, say something.
14:29Maybe we need to get something that, you know, would be a little, how do I put it, encourage a
14:36little more action from the public.
14:38I mean, we thank the public for their assistance and their continuous assistance, as a matter of fact.
14:42However, we know we, ETTPS, need to do some improvement.
14:48Yes, yes.
14:48And we are asking you all to do some improvement as well and, you know, share some more information.
14:54You could use the anonymous hotlines that we have, 555-800-TIPS, you know, because I know there's this concern
14:59about your safety, which is rightfully so.
15:01So, we're here.
15:03All right, so let's take a look at what's making today's headlines.
15:49And those are the stories making today's headlines.
15:51ASP, quickly, you know, you like to give a round of applause when it's ETTPS does well.
15:56Well, we got the name of the school.
15:57It is Coover East Secondary School.
16:00So, let's give them a round of applause.
16:01A job well done, guys.
16:03Keep it up.

18:09Don't give them a chance.
18:11Switch off your engine, remove your keys, and stay alert.
18:15A message from the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service.
18:33And welcome back if you're now joining us.
18:35We have ASP Russell here with us, of course, each and every Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday.
18:40Now we're going to dive in here, and this was a story from the Trinidad Express.
18:45Now a woman robbed left tied up in Garden.
18:47A 65-year-old woman was tied up and assaulted at her home in Manzanella on Monday morning after three
18:54people entered her property and announced a robbery.
18:58Police said the woman of Camparo Village, Manzanella, was in her garden at the front of her home around 7
19:05.30am on May 11th when she was approached by the suspects.
19:10The assailants robbed the woman of a Samsung cell phone valued at $1,500 and the keys to her home
19:17before tying her hands with rope and leaving her in the garden.
19:20The suspects then entered the house, ransacked it, and stole $5,500 in cash, a pair of gold earrings valued
19:29at $500, a gold chain valued at $1,500, two gold rings valued at $1,000, and two frozen chickens
19:37valued at $120.
19:38The total value of the stolen items and cash was estimated at $10,120.
19:48Yes, please.
19:51I pray.
19:53I pray.
19:53I pray.
19:53After the penal woman vision.
19:54I pray.
19:55I pray that we find them soon.
19:57You know, it's what's amazing, you know, the one in Williamsville, 67.
20:04Yes.
20:05The one before that religion was 70.
20:07It was 70.
20:08Another 65-year-old woman.
20:10Yes.
20:11So we recognize that there is constant attacks on the elderly.
20:16Yes.
20:16Maybe they engage in them around the time when they have their pensions and stuff like that.
20:20They took the jewelry.
20:22People don't even understand if the jewelry have sentimental value.
20:27They don't care.
20:28They don't care.
20:29And on top of that, they stole the woman chicken.
20:32Yeah.
20:33That maybe was for about three months.
20:35So they went and they shopped.
20:36So they get money, they get jewelry, and they take something to eat one time.
20:39Mm-hmm.
20:40Well, you know, nobody is saying the criminals are wicked.
20:44Who did they say wicked?
20:45The police.
20:46All right then.
20:47But who says we don't say the criminals are wicked?
20:49Well, I need to hear it more often, and I need us to stand up.
20:51Yeah, the criminals are very wicked.
20:53I need us to stand up and let our voices be heard.
20:57Because I'm certain the victim is living in a community.
21:01Somebody may have heard something.
21:03People, the days are trying to just mind your own business.
21:06Because those days are gone, you know?
21:07Yeah.
21:08Because a day will come when you would wish somebody was minding your business, because
21:11that might be the neighbor.
21:12To call the police or to come to your aid if something is to happen.
21:17Check up on your neighbors.
21:19We ask for the implementation of neighborhood watch groups.
21:22Come together.
21:24Live as a community.
21:27You know what is the scary thing to me?
21:29The thoughts that run through my mind.
21:32When situations like this happen, especially with the elderly and children, and the things
21:36that I want to say, I realize that God wouldn't like me for it.
21:40And I have to do better with my thoughts.
21:42Yeah?
21:43All right.
21:43So as we move, let's head back to basic.
21:45Yes.
21:46Good.
21:46And it's very important that we continue to educate the public when it comes to road
21:50safety.
21:51So let's take a look again.
22:00So sir, I see you're driving since 1999.
22:05So that means you're a real senior driver.
22:07Right?
22:08We want to see if these drivers have knowledge of the regulation.
22:13Because I know you went, you went and did your test, you passed.
22:15You don't know all the handshake, not all the signs.
22:18So you're not, but you're using the car every day.
22:21So we're giving you two questions and a road sign.
22:26And let me see if we can get all three right.
22:29If the signal light comes from green to amber as you approach an intersection, what must
22:35you do?
22:36A. Stop.
22:37If a stop cannot be made safely, proceed with caution.
22:40B. Song the horn to warn the pedestrians and other drivers.
22:44C. Continue through the intersection without slowing or stopping.
22:48D. Speed up to clear the intersections as quickly as possible.
22:53So which answer would this be, sir?
22:56Stop.
22:571.
22:58B.
22:58A.
23:10B.
23:11B.
23:14B.
23:15B.
23:15adjusting the radio.
23:17D.
23:18Focusing on a family problem.
23:20E.
23:21All of the above.
23:22All of the above.
23:23D.
23:24D.
23:25D.
23:25D.
23:26D.
23:26D.
23:27D.
23:27D.
23:27D.
23:28D.
23:29D.
23:30so i'll give you this sign here and this nice circle right here with the exit like like x-man
23:37right what our sign means well i have 18 you see nothing every day
23:48all by your grandfather have one of them sign
23:54no stopping prohibited stopping prohibited right
24:02yeah yeah you get kind of like they get about two and a half
24:08and you know what because you get two and a half
24:13you get right man of course so on behalf of the princess town station council
24:19and the tdps for your knowledge of the regulations we award you with this
24:24talk about appreciation right and we encourage you to go over the regulations
24:29and also encourage others especially younger drivers
24:32well i always do to go over the regulations right
24:35thank you sir enjoy your evening you too you see
24:38well finally we got you at one i was beginning to get a little worried you know
24:41because we did some and everybody was getting one out of three
24:44two out of three so we are very thankful
24:47that the drivers on the nations road know the rules and regulations
25:01and that was your back to basic now asp russell let's go back to that video a little bit with
25:06that picture that we saw that he asked identify the sign
25:09and i think many people sometimes get confused with the reason being
25:13he said no wait well stopping yeah but some people believe there's no parking
25:19but how does that really packing you know packing is one line one diagonal line
25:23right so you lock up your vehicle you're born
25:29but it may be that that x there when you see that x it means no stopping or waiting as
25:34well
25:34so your intentions is not to pack but you're stuck to pick up somebody or you're stuck to drop off
25:55you're stuck to pick up somebody under no circumstance are you to stop in that particular area
26:09so if i went before the court would have been wrong
26:12you would have been wrong
26:14so i mean we learn every day right and i hope that the audience understands that
26:18especially if you said i guess dropping off something but once that sign is there
26:22you cannot even pull up in that space don't be in that area at all
26:27all right we get ready to head to the phone lines at this time hello good evening to our caller
26:31our
26:32first caller this evening hi good night hi good evening good evening caller i'm calling concerning
26:41a church on root avenue is the open bible church what's happening and now the music has gotten louder
27:11and the music is tremendously loud and new york
27:20already have to put up with it from seven o'clock on a sunday morning straight through to eight o
27:26'clock
27:26on a sunday night that's just one day and right now how i know they're having something is because
27:31i hear the music again banging in my head and no matter how you try to reason with them they're
27:39not
27:40they don't intend to you know to help the situation i don't know if they have done something to increase
27:47the level of love listening music but now it has gotten even louder than it used to be before so
27:54i
27:54don't know if there are some ideas of church we understand that but they also need to understand that
27:59they operate in um a community where they have a resident yes yes thank you so much scholar yes well
28:09i will um i i hear the calls and the concerns of the caller and i mean everybody's entitled to
28:15freedom of
28:15enjoy freedom and enjoyment of their property under the constitution so whether it's a dj or a church
28:21or an event um we need to manage our decibel levels so i will communicate with the sduic san fernando
28:29police station ma'am and ask the inspector the sergeant there to pay a visit to the church so that
28:35the situation can be rectified in as short as possible time and religious bodies need to understand
28:40so you have to follow the rules as well not because you're part of a religious body you
28:45could do what you like we have another caller caller good evening
28:52hello hello caller hello hi good evening you could go ahead you're like good evening caller okay you have
28:59very pleasant good evening to you all i just want to you know something we have a problem in the
29:06area

29:11and um yeah that's called mess all over the place we said we all have we said we all have
29:18we said we all have um charged 21st in san fernando i think you all should come and charge these
29:24people where do you what area in san fernando sir um look um this is in um san john trice
29:31san john trice in america
29:36they have owners of these cattles yes they do cattles or cat he said cattles
29:44okay all right and san john stris and john stris avocat yes okay caller um i'm certain the cattles
29:58as um an owner i mean it's a strange one i know usually persons tend to you know safeguard these
30:07animals because of the value of these animals in addition to which if the owner of these animals
30:16fail to properly secure their animals and as a as a result of that a motorist gets into an accident
30:25or
30:25something there is an offense building to tether that they can also face so call i would reach
30:33out to the district station and see what we could have done with respect to this situation all right

33:14and we are back we are back to the phone lines we have a caller caller good evening
33:19hello hi good evening good evening caller yes good evening am i right yes you are yes you are all
33:26right
33:32yes thank you sir that's my contribution keep up your good work yes cattle yes thank you sir i was
33:43trying to
33:43find out the first cattle of cats oh no what no he said because i said cattle with the sdm
33:51but cattle
33:51means more than more than one well i thank you we appreciate that slipper the tongue with the s but
33:58that's we appreciate because we want to you know we like that call us correct us nobody's perfect and
34:03we'd always want to learn thank you all right so there was an incident that took place that many persons
34:09saw and it's again we only got where the person started recording because two individuals were found in
34:17the back seat of a stationary vehicle in front of their home and this is what transpired
34:24this is you officers come to issue tickets to us because i was never driving the vehicle
34:31parked up it's my girlfriend she lives right here we live right inside here
34:42right five um aruka all right so you're addressing nice i don't live there as i have that i used
34:48to
34:48around here that is supposed to inform license office or license office and change yes yes sir yes i am
34:55aware right so that is why i'm talking so you can play it back right because that is where my
35:01license
35:02is expire and i have to pay my ticket so that is why where you got a ticket for for
35:08um um that was a
35:10good while back with little tea light and thing small thing and you know check it up you know check
35:15it
35:16on this film officer so you gave me a 10 000 for nothing we seen down in the car here
35:26right you find that fair you find our fear what's that but the vehicle is parked the vehicle is
35:33not driving it is not moving i am in the back seat they come and met us in the back
35:38seat down here
35:38this officer right here um you can identify yourself please officer you can identify yourself
35:47please no you did not identify yourself can you identify yourself please sir officer
35:59i am asking a lawful question can you identify can you repeat
36:05you will never did that when you are approaching vehicle you will ask me what are we doing here we
36:11just seen heads and i i told you that we are packed up we are living right here
36:16right here for food asking for my identification my insurance we have set down in the back seat can
36:22you i can you identify um when it says you came here well we'll be sitting in the back seat
36:29of this
36:29vehicle officer it's in a question
36:36let me get me
36:38what kind of t-fitting is this boy see the kind of wickedness has been going on out here why
36:43officer can you please identify yourself this vehicle right as you see i know come on the back of
36:52my car park up in the neighborhood 7th avenue boney where we live right
37:00can you confirm you saw me driving a vehicle on the nation road sir i'm asking a question to give
37:06my 10 000 ticket i can i want to show this and post it and everything call it wicked
37:11right now can you confirm that this vehicle was driving on the nation road
37:16i am i am not on your face right and you confirm what you want to come on me on
37:22the nation
37:22road here watch watch pack up everybody pack up we just sitting down in the back of the car the
37:29passing and let's ask me for my information you understand these two officers here come out smiling
37:37and vindiction right i'm happy and proud of that asking a question can it is you can can you see
37:46you
37:46saw me driving this vehicle sir when you all come and ask me for identification where was i seated did
37:53this vehicle did this vehicle did this vehicle have a driver when you all pull when you all come and
37:59ask
37:59identification i was sitting i was i seated in front of the vehicle was i sitting in driver's seat
38:11was i sitting in driver's seat i i know i right here because i i right next to my car
38:17all the come and meet me here no because of the game i'm mad but i telling you right
38:25yes this video here um is a bit i don't want to say all over the place but we only
38:33got where the
38:34interaction my main concern is why when civilians ask officers for their name and identification number
38:42they tend to ignore like what he was doing both officers actually but you i i i i know you
38:50were
38:50paying attention you would have heard the officer said but i identified myself to you and a lot of
38:57the times right especially when the cameras come on and now i am saying the officer supposed to identify
39:04himself no problem but even putting myself in that position if i identified myself to you i am and i
39:13tell
39:13you who i am and because you don't like the way the conversation is going because you want to put
39:19me on
39:19camera you know want me to re-identify myself i i mean no but what i identify myself already assuming
39:27here with that right but right and even if that is the case why you just can't repeat it all
39:32right and
39:33he could have repeated it and nothing wrong with him repeating it but i'm saying a lot of people like
39:38to be antagonistic right and i don't know all the facts of it of that incident and i believe that
39:45they
39:45would have had certain information it was a bit strange it says vehicle they can't tell somebody
39:50if to sit down in the front or the back of the vehicle when they see fit but quite a
39:55few things
39:55stood out the insurance issue one two he had met him back on the nation roadway in an uninsured vehicle
40:05he is saying that he wasn't driving but he would have heard there was a discussion
40:10as to him driving or not and he was asking if you're sure you see me driving this vehicle yes
40:15so
40:16something may have transpired before and this is what happens we usually see the video
40:22at a particular point you never see what transpires before that you never see what transpires before that
40:31um his license is also expired yes why is your license expired because i have some tickets on my
40:39license that i need to paid the people to have to have paid what if the officer had decided to
40:47check to
40:47see if there were warrants on the system for unpaid tickets he could have also been taken into custody
40:53to verify that no warrants were issued for him for unpaid tickets so there's a lot of things that will
40:59happen and and based on our interaction based on now i'm saying nothing wrong with re-identifying
41:04yourself but people have to be careful how they do things with respect to trying to just escalate
41:09the situation and i'm happy that the officer kept the school even when he started pointing up towards
41:15the the the officer and stuff like that the officer kept his school and that is why it is very
41:20important
41:21that i hope eventually you will get more body cams because you'll desperately meet them
41:26that that is it and i i hear you and i both as a somewhat senior officer in the ttps
41:33and as the vice
41:35president original to be the police service social and welfare association advocate and i'm a firm
41:42belief and supporter of having officers issued with body cams i'm certain myself and my president
41:51but have no objections to that all right we take that break we'll be back
42:07sometimes we choose our path other times the path chooses us through it all we keep pushing forward
42:16driven by a deeper purpose guided by an unseen force the journey never gets any easier
42:28the bond just gets harder to break this is the way only in cinemas and imax may extensionist mascara by
42:39l'oreal garis lashes so extended they look up to five millimeters closer to brows a sculpting comb with
42:45magnetic black pigments giving extended length volume and curl extensionist by l'oreal garis you're worth it

44:42plans
44:43five years imprisonment and suspension on your license for three years don't drink and drive
45:08have you ever been curious about the history of the oldest civic organization in trinidad and tobago
45:14the police service i am kara roopsing i'm the curator of the police museum and the police
45:20museum will be at the central bank museum on sunday for international museum day from 10 a.m to 5
45:27p.m
45:27we hope to see you there make sure and come out and support a beautiful moment of course and i
45:37mean by
45:37your smirk or your smile in this case what would you like to say esp well firstly i would want
45:43to say
45:43that esp hannibal the person in the video message many facts yes whatever deal with the curator first
45:50trinidad tobago he was out there you may have children who may be aspiring to be police officers
45:56you yourself might be interested into the the historical origins of the trinidad tobago police
46:01service back in the days when it was a trinidad tobago for the seminary and then it went to trinidad
46:07to be the police force yes so um sunday the 17th of may at the central bank museum we are
46:15taking our
46:15museum and carry it down there on display for international museum day this is from 10 a.m the
46:235 p.m on the 17th of may 20 26 this sunday you know you have children who are interested
46:30in the
46:30train and tobago police service of origin of our history and stuff like that there are some very cool
46:34artifacts um i've been there but even if they're not interested it's just something part of you know
46:41knowledge that is very important and history of the ttps if you understand the job market at this
46:47present time right and i was listening to the goodly minister and a contribution in parliament today
46:53where there is uh uh uh intention to raise the strength of the trinidad tobago police service by
46:59somewhat something over 2 000 officers so very soon you know as we really thought you would see more boots
47:06on the ground tonight and tobago we are working to make sure you feel safe yes but don't just show
47:10up
47:10because you need to get a paycheck when because you really want to protect and serve in the service
47:17and for the citizens good not just to get a salary so mr husband let me just go back yes
47:24mr hannibal
47:25thank you assistant superintendent hannibal yes acting who indicated that he identified himself several
47:33times throughout throughout the camera come out and he decided to escalate things certain other information
47:44of his profession being a taxi driver was also revealed okay this is one of these set officers the person
47:52identified the serial killer was me in the video okay i ain't talking here say i'm speaking about what happened
47:59but you're right because if we had the body cams but i've shown it already and the video was altered
48:06i understand it edited the video was altered people you know be quick to judge the judge hannibal
48:14thank you for watching the program and and and this is nice i was able to give the police side
48:20of it immediately all right we have another caller caller good evening good evening good evening
48:26caller all right i just wanted to identify with the caller who called when we opened bible church
48:34i am in my house in the back and if you will listen you can hear them
48:40another question so i just wanted to identify with that caller okay thank you
48:48yes yes thank you what could be done i am in the back of my home sorry the door closed
48:57okay good night thank you thank you well caller i would i would tell you like i told the other
49:02caller i
49:03would reach out to the district police station and we would ensure that that conversation is had
49:09with whoever is in charge of that church so that we could put there will be quick resolve to this
49:16situation what i was what i was asking is that more than one person in the areas now calling definitely
49:22so clearly there's a problem clearly no well even if it disturb one person that person can still go to
49:29the station okay so clearly there is indeed an issue because there's another person who's called who is
49:33also affected by the situation and regardless of what we do we must ensure and it will go out to
49:40not
49:40only um the church but the other religious bodies as well you know there are some who will use horns
49:46because some persons may do their um with the sin and their life ban and they're they're testifying on
49:53the streets and stuff like that so we have to be careful notwithstanding it's for the work of
49:59god or whoever we consider our supreme being yes we need to be considerate to others regardless all
50:04right we have another caller caller good evening good evening sir
50:11yes they're speaking if this is actually the thing that the police service has you and it should be
50:17full-fledged here you know it's acting for hollywood however you see the um you see the
50:24investigator with the in the picture in tobago why the police says so it will act in
50:28all these areas and look for for places where they feel at this that these parents could have killed
50:34the child and get the child because um something isn't having enough in a matter in tobago and this
50:39is terrible far far far more island like tobago that depends on truth and on tourism so my heart goes
50:49out to the um the father of that biological father of that young two three-year-old son of that
50:55all right
50:56and i'll be a trace you are the pimp should be esp and this acting thing should use immediately
51:02have a nice evening
51:06well thank you for that um
51:11nothing happens before times um from your mouth the god's ears and i'm a bit young so i'll be here
51:18to
51:18serve you all for quite quite a few years in excess of a decade so i will be around for
51:25a while once
51:26god give me health and strength with respect to the situation in tobago so we're asking you all to
51:32be very cautious of your words um but the reason why they because the body was indeed seen in the
51:39water
51:39sir and and the attempt to retrieve the body the it was submerged again so and to reason we have
51:46divers
51:47and stuff like that in the location um so many questions as soon as we are able to
51:54children to be able because i know it's sensitive i'm very very cautious of what i say and let me
52:00tell you before i come on here i always call woman assistant superintendent back us to get an update
52:07so that i can give you the most recent information as it pertains to that matter or any matter that
52:14i
52:14believe may be of national interest so i'm here i'm here to share that information and look out for you
52:19and we thank you for that we have another caller caller good evening
52:27good evening
52:28i call you all to compliment you all and you know officer enjoying himself i would say
52:34you smile it is a long time yes smile so much you had a good day today
52:38let's good lord
52:41and also you know i think this person who called before he's talking about tobago issues and you
52:47know before you say that it's very we have to continue talking to god one day at a time
52:52sweet jesus we have to call him because his children are children
52:58what we to do but god is with us because every day you watch and i see it is going
53:03to be improved
53:04we are excelling one day at a time so keep it with god for god first right and enjoy your
53:10weekends
53:11continue to be beautiful and be safe all right thank you so much thank you for you have a wonderful
53:18weekend and you be safe as well we want you here next week well i've seen his teeth well you
53:24know when
53:25i'm here and i'm not smiling it's one thing when i'm smiling it's another thing social islands had to
53:30please no we are happy not just smiling that's the good thing it's always nice to see officers smile
53:34because um it is not an easy job yes we continue to speak about and we are at a place
53:41now where we are
53:42i always say it's like a tug of war that is happening in society but we have to come together
53:49but you know
53:50what what what helps us as well when you call us out when we do bad we take our punches
53:57yeah but what goes
53:59a really really long way is when we do good and you highlight it as well you know i think
54:05too that
54:05i uh initiative you all could start implementing when it comes to matters that start to circulate
54:12quickly on social media because you know everything is happens in real time now where the ttps could take
54:18front with information not everything you need to put out but at least with details because persons run
54:25with the narrative that they take from wherever or sometimes some of the officers rush and put things
54:31up because they want it out there that we get the facts please miss us once that like to this
54:37smilingly
54:38i know massage usually looks at the program yes it's a discussion that she and i have every day we
54:46are
54:46working on it um however what the public have on the police service is that they could put unverified
54:56information out there and no one holds them to task no one holds them accountable but we have to wait
55:03until we get the facts so we can't just see tree bodies on the ground and say that's a shootout
55:08the public
55:09could say that and get away with it but there could have been two persons faint when they see the
55:14person
55:14that get boxed on yeah but so we wait on the facts and as soon as the facts come in
55:18miss husband we
55:20release it and this is why i think it's very important quickly that the public takes the information
55:24from the police from the very first one yeah yes just blogs we have a final caller caller good evening
55:31hello hello hello hello please good evening good evening good evening sir yeah good evening
55:39mr hotbums hello evening officer yes good evening caller
55:42about the the different students in the schools and um i want to suggest that a survey is conducted in
55:54schools
55:55to determine the percentage of children who come from single parents, with a view of the
56:10school support system visiting the homes, the community of these children, especially
56:17being the extremely labelled ones, considering what the background they came from and what
56:22co-ordinately the humanity they gave.
56:29All right. Thank you, caller.
56:32Thank you, sir.
56:33That's a very good suggestion from the caller. And not only must we visit, but we must now
56:39look, caller, to put corrective measures in place to improve.
56:41So why only single parents?
56:44And that is it.
56:45I think it could just be households.
56:47Households on the whole.
56:48Households on the whole.
56:48Because you could have a home with both parents.
56:52And still.
56:53Because if you have two parents in a home and nobody cares, the child will still be.
56:56Well, you know, I am a proud product of a single parent home.
57:01Yeah, so it doesn't matter if a single or both parents, all the households we should
57:05take into consideration and visit to find out more.
57:08Well, maybe that is something the Ministry of Education can, because we have
57:12continuous partnerships with the Ministry of Education and the schools.
57:15So maybe something that we could also probably set up a social work unit to treat
57:20with situations like this and apply the necessary corrective measures, you know,
57:26so that we could change behavior and avoid recidivism and stuff like that.
57:30Because it's changed behavior.
57:31We want to see a positive outcome.
57:33And now we are closing.
