00:00The pressure was on St. Mary's to defeat the 2022 champions in Benedict's to maintain their league lead.
00:06And they couldn't have made a more positive start in front of their home fans.
00:10There's a ball coming across again. It's floated in the air.
00:14And it's just allowed to drop a chance here. Shot deflected and it goes in.
00:19Josiah Thompson applying the finish to ease some of the pressure.
00:22This head-on collision had the St. Mary's keeper down but not out.
00:26And he goes to the return ball. The goalkeeper door comes in.
00:30And saves the day.
00:32But his brave attempt to play on saw him forced out soon after.
00:37Just not on target but he did make good contact with it.
00:41The Laramene Tigers came out prowling but just couldn't find the target.
00:45Get it back. Shots and he's in over the bar. Well, well, well.
00:49But CIC had the perfect response to the Tigers' prowl.
00:53Jaden Thomas just getting enough on his glancing header to find the bottom corner.
00:57Still, with 20 minutes remaining, the visitors were still looking for an opening.
01:01But their efforts would prove futile as St. Mary's held on to win 2-0 and maintain top spot.
