02:14A message from the TTPS.
02:29Good evening, Trinidad and Tobago, and to our global audience as well.
02:33This is Beyond the Tape. I'm your host, Whitney Husbands.
02:36Now, I hope those of you had a safe and enjoyable weekend.
02:39Now, the search continues in Tobago for two-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza, where we see the other agencies as
02:47well, on the search, along with the canine unit.
02:52And as the search continues, we know today's a day where we would see Captain, but Captain Ramberat and his
02:58team, they are also in Tobago, joining the search.
03:01And we have to welcome back one of his team members who was with us once before.
03:06We have Desi Simon, who will be with us today.
03:08And, of course, giving us more information, what's taking place in Tobago, and, of course, missing persons, where you'll continue
03:14to give us closure.
03:15Good evening to you.
03:16Yes, good evening, Whitney Husbands, and good evening, of course, to your viewers, for wherever they are right now.
03:23Yes, we would love to get closure right now with Tobias.
03:29Yes, unfortunately, we are currently empty-handed at the moment, but I know that they have moved from one location
03:36to another.
03:37Yes, I saw that.
03:37But they said they got some intel that there was a specific dump that they received.
03:43That Studley Park landfill.
03:45Yes, in Tobago.
03:46In Tobago, yes.
03:47So we are waiting on, actually, Valen is supposed to give us an update very shortly, so we are really
03:54and truly waiting to find out what is happening right now.
03:57Well, I mean, you just said it.
03:58So let's take a look at the update that is taking place with Captain Rambarat in Tobago.
04:04So this is a 5 p.m. update from Hunter's Search and Rescue Team in Tobago, where the search is
04:10on for missing baby Angelo.
04:13We started this morning with some searches in the Studley Park landfill area.
04:18We teamed up with the Tobago House of Assembly, the Tobago Emergency Management Agency, as well as the Trinidad and
04:28Tobago Police Service to conduct some searches in several fits, but those searches yielded nothing.
04:37Subsequent to that, we joined the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service in several searches across the island, and these searches
04:45included Hunter's Search and Rescue Team and various units, the IATF, the K9 unit, and FEMA as well.
04:55So, and then after that, we left and completed an area in the Fembroke District, which was still to be
05:05completed.
05:06So, all in all, we had a long day, but the most important thing is that baby Angelo remains missing
05:14at this time.
05:17And that is Captain Rambarat and his team.
05:20Tazi, we're in a place the entire country is hoping to get some sort of news.
05:26We just want to know if we could identify the two-year-old that has been missing.
05:31You know, everybody would love to get news.
05:35I mean, at this point, there's so many speculations as to where he can be.
05:41I mean, right now, the family really needs closure.
05:45The nation as well.
05:48The nation as well.
05:50You're sure right about that one.
05:52You know, I mean, you have a grieving father, grieving grandmother, the other family members that are grieving, neighbors.
05:59So, you know, and then there are other persons who are actually well-wishers who would love to see those
06:04who have two-year-old, those who have their own children.
06:07Yes.
06:07They would love to see this child come back.
06:10And right here, you're seeing them here in the cassava field.
06:14And this is where they were conducting some searches here.
06:20Because they got some information, you know, little tip-offs, thinking that, you know, he was dumped anywhere around there.
06:28And then they move on to the coastal areas.
06:33As you can see there, our boy Hulk.
06:35Yes.
06:37And they're showing you where they would have to pass.
06:40And they're down by the rocks of the coastal areas here.
06:44And down there actually is very dangerous.
06:46Extremely.
06:47I can't even venture.
06:48You can't venture into that, right?
06:49You can't come out and venture in there.
06:51And then the divers who went in had to come out because the seas were rough.
06:57They couldn't stay inside of that.
06:58They needed to come out as well.
06:59I mean, the other thing would have been some helicopter support there.
07:06There you go.
07:07Look at those waves that are breaking right there onto those rocks.
07:12So they tried to cover as much as the coastal areas as possible.
07:20And then eventually they would have moved out from here.
07:24And there we go.
07:26Studley Park Landfill.
07:28And as you can see, it's a big, huge landfill with a precipice as well.
07:33Oof.
07:35I mean, by looking at this, you know, imagine doing something like this.
07:40This is a landfill.
07:41Looking for a two-year-old.
07:42Right, you're looking for a two-year-old, which is not only upsetting,
07:46but it's a place where you should not be looking for somebody, right?
07:50Human life?
07:51Correct.
07:52You know, and you have to be moving through everything possible.
07:58So they will go through the bags, if you have suitcases, crookers bags especially as well.
08:06I mean, definitely they will go through suitcases, all because of the previous case.
08:13And this is off the cliff that we are seeing.
08:16Correct.
08:17Captain on.
08:18Correct, yes.
08:18That's off the little precipice, as they would call it there.
08:21Okay.
08:22For the landfill itself.
08:24Yes.
08:25And as the trucks come in, they dump.
08:26They dump.
08:27And they continue on.
08:30And there he is coming back up.
08:32And I know that they had to move from their turn at a location.
08:37Captain, this cannot be.
08:38Well, I'm watching Captain.
08:41That's okay.
08:41That's fine.
08:41But it cannot be easy.
08:43I hope it's not a degree here, though.
08:44But go on.
08:44Continue.
08:45I'm watching Captain, and you could see the disappointment as well with him walking back.
08:50It is.
08:51It is very disappointing.
08:52To meet his team, how are you all dealing with this?
08:55Because this cannot be easy.
08:57This is a trial, eh?
08:58You all are there to support children, be there with the children.
09:01So, you know, if you put yourself into the position itself, they said a child went missing
09:05from around, before, between 7 and 7.30.
09:08Let's just say that, right?
09:10And with that now, one of the members decided to do a video showing you at the time.
09:17Correct.
09:18There is no light.
09:20Darkness.
09:20Where is he going to pass?
09:22Where is he going to walk?
09:23He has to get guidance to actually pass through there.
09:27They can hear him talking, you know?
09:29It's like, if you just, for example, like in the studio here, if you take off all the lights,
09:35you can't see away.
09:37So, you must stumble on something.
09:39Correct.
09:39So, I mean, anybody, even for us, from the time we heard, and now it's like, okay, there's a huge,
09:49I want to say that you have an emptiness already, because it's a pain that you can't describe.
09:57I mean, look at the places you're all searching, adults, including myself, not even thinking twice to venture, so far
10:06less to you.
10:07Yeah.
10:08I mean, imagine if it was your own child.
10:10Well, that's what it feels like.
10:12Because that is what we know with persons who have children.
10:15We will continue, of course, with more as we get information and updates.
10:18We will update the public as we go along, and we continue to ask the public to take the information
10:23that is factual
10:25and not go based on, you know, these theories and persons putting things out there,
10:29because at the end of the day, the families are still grieving with what is taking place right now,
10:35and we don't have vital information, so let's be responsible.
10:38As we move, let's go straight into the missions.
10:41We continue the missions with Peter Isaac.
10:43Right, so Peter Isaac has a mental condition.
10:49He's struggling mentally, and he has a speech impediment.
10:53Now, we did understand that he was in Price Plaza, Chaguanas, late last weekend, to the weekend itself.
11:05Yes.
11:05But we do have members still searching for him, so if anybody has any information on this young man,
11:11you can contact 555-999-799-1453.
11:19Dalek and I need drone 4 in Goodwood.
11:22That's what it looks like.
11:24Okay.
11:24Yeah, this is...
11:25I was using Tobago.
11:26Yes, this was in Tobago, where they're still looking for Angelo Tobias Plaza.
11:31Now, there will be the drone footage there for that.
11:33I mean, because you'll also have the assistance of SIU, Anderson, that SIU is there as well.
11:38I mean, along with TTPS, TMARC, THA, you know, and I do understand that they have air support across there
11:46as well, you know.
11:49So, we have Daniel.
11:52Yes, Daniel McLean.
11:54Well, as far as we understand, that he was picking coconuts and fell off the coconut tree into the water.
12:01At least that is what we have thus far.
12:05It's unfortunate.
12:07He's from Bacolet.
12:08But, I mean, that was really unfortunate to actually see, you know.
12:13But, I mean, according to reports, there were injuries to his head.
12:20Now, that could be from when he fell.
12:23Yes.
12:23That is the team members there.
12:25Or the rocks also that we're seeing.
12:26That is Hulk and Captain Valance bringing out the body there at that point.
12:32DMO would have asked them to assist in doing this.
12:34Yeah.
12:35Because of the choppy waters that we're seeing, right?
12:37Correct.
12:38Yes.
12:38Yes.
12:39They would have asked them.
12:40Yeah.
12:40What condolences going on to family?
12:42Oh, yes.
12:43Most definitely.
12:44To see that and know what transpired is, it's something you cannot fathom unless you experience it.
12:50So, as we continue making that move, we get ready for your SOE update today.
12:54So, let's take a look.
12:55As of May 18th, 2026.
13:00Number of operations, 5,687.
13:03Number of targets, priority offenders, 1,751.
13:09Searches conducted, 2,779.
13:12Traffic operations, 3,326.
13:15Total persons arrested, 2,535.
13:20Total persons charged, 527.
13:25Firearms recovered, we are seeing an increase with pistols and revolvers, giving us 152.
13:31Ammunition recovered, we're seeing an increase with the 9mm round, giving us a total of 3,151.
13:37And dangerous drug seized, we're seeing an increase with cannabis and cocaine.
13:42Does it?
13:44You know, it's true.
13:46It's so funny to actually see these things.
13:47Yes.
13:48I mean, we understand where these things come from.
13:53And for them to actually be getting all of this, I mean, we know that there are much more out
13:58there.
13:58Yes.
14:00It's just for them just to, you know.
14:02But I will tell you this.
14:03The TTPS is working extremely hard.
14:05Because if Jackie pulls back up the update, you will see with the drugs that we are seeing an increase.
14:11And with that, it's because with that major increase, there was a 1.3 million in cannabis seized in Canupia.
14:18So the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service seized approximately 1.3 million worth of cannabis
14:23during an intelligence-led anti-crime operation conducted in the Canupia Police District
14:30on Friday, the 15th of May, 2026, under the state of emergency.
14:35Now, during the exercise, officers detained a 31-year-old taxi driver
14:39who subsequently led investigators to concealed crocus bags
14:44within an abandoned structure adjacent to the premises.
14:47A coordinated search resulted in the seizure of 187 kilograms of cannabis
14:53and 187 trafficking packets with an estimated street value of $1,309.
15:02Officers also seized one Glock 19 pistol with 14 rounds of 9mm ammunition.
15:08The suspect was subsequently arrested and formally cautioned for possession of marijuana
15:15for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a firearm without a firearm user's license
15:20and possession of ammunition without a firearm user's license.
15:24So, as you see, what's going on?
15:26The TTPS.
15:27Yes.
15:27They are working.
15:28They are working.
15:29I will say that.
15:30They are doing their job.
15:31Which is most important.
15:32Which is most important.
15:34Yes.
15:34Right now, let's take a look at what's making today's headlines.
16:04We'll see you next time.
16:17And those were your stories making today's headlines.
16:19Now, one of the headlines that stood out to me today that I noticed,
16:22Desi, that it's very disturbing, was a gentleman was staggering.
16:26He was killed on the highway and they were claiming that he was allegedly intoxicated.
16:32And persons need to be careful because they're stating a pedestrian was killed in a road traffic accident
16:39after reportedly staggering into the roadway.
16:43And this is scary.
16:45Wow.
16:46He's staggered into the roadway.
16:47Into the roadway.
16:48Wow.
16:49Not even because you're intoxicated.
16:51No, you know, that is one thing.
16:54A person's staggering and he's highly intoxicated with any form of drug.
16:59But the other part is actually a driver driving with due care and attention.
17:05Yes.
17:06Many people are not driving with due care and attention at this point.
17:08Now, what they're saying, police said the incident occurred around 12.30 a.m. on May 16th
17:14as a silver Nissan Almera was proceeding north along the highway in the left lane
17:20and merging into the lay-by leading to Chaguanas main road.
17:26Now, investigators were told the driver observed two men walking on the left side of the roadway
17:31when one of them drifted into the merging lane and was struck by the vehicle.
17:37Right.
17:38And you shouldn't be walking on the highway in the first place.
17:40Yeah.
17:40That is something that we are custom saying, huh?
17:43Yeah.
17:43And I think that persons need to understand that even though, and there are persons who may live next to
17:49the highway.
17:50They do.
17:50They do.
17:51And we didn't say no to that.
17:52Yeah.
17:52So, it is one where if you do, you have to take serious measures to protect yourself.
17:59Get off the highway as quick as you can.
18:00Yes.
18:00If it is that, you have to walk on the highway.
18:02Correct.
18:03Because pedestrians should not be there at all.
18:05Remember, you all can give us a call at 623-1711, extension 1996 and 1997.
18:11We take that break.
18:12We'll be back.

20:04Revealing facts.
20:05Provoking opinions.
20:18And welcome, Mark.
20:19Remember, you can give us a call at 623-1711, extension 1996 and 1997.
20:24In for us today, for captain, we have Desi Simon, who is no stranger now to the show because he's
20:30here representing for the team and has continued with information with missing persons.
20:34Where are we with that?
20:35Yes.
20:36All right.
20:36So, let's see.
20:39We have Stephen McQueen.
20:41All right.
20:41So, he is also struggling mentally.
20:45And I know that he was spotted in Puerto Spain, moving around.
20:49And we do ask persons if they do see this gentleman anywhere around.
20:53They can call 555-999 or 799-1453.
20:58I mean, we continue to do searches for him in the Puerto Spain area.
21:03We also have Israel Bertrand.
21:07And the last he was seen was in the promenade in San Fernando with a bloody head.
21:17All right.
21:18Wow.
21:20So, so far, nothing has turned up in terms of the hospital or anything.
21:24So, we don't know of his current location at this time.
21:27But we ask members if they do see this gentleman to call 555-999 or 799-1453.
21:35We also have, as in the co-see, my apologies, Gomez, this is a gentleman who would have left,
21:45who went to the wake with his mother and took the vehicle.
21:48For the point.
21:49Correct.
21:49For Boroday.
21:50Yes.
21:50Right.
21:51Well, we suspected that he would have went down for Boroday.
21:55And has not been back home since.
21:58I know he took his mother's vehicle.
22:00I don't know if we have the vehicle.
22:02So, yes, PBL 6172.
22:06If anybody sees this gentleman, the vehicle, call 555-999-799-1453.
22:16And, of course, I know everybody wants to know more depressing issues and stuff.
22:21And Peter Isaac, as I said, he was spotted in Price Plaza, Chaguanas.
22:29And he is struggling mentally, and he has a speech impediment.
22:33So, when speaking with him, I mean, just be very patient and contact 555-999 or 799-1453.
22:44It's really hard with these people, especially with this one here, Angelo, Tobias, Plaza.
22:52I mean, look at that face.
22:55So precious.
22:58I mean, the search continues with the team.
23:05You know, actually, I need to mention as well, you know, thanks to TTPS for coming out.
23:12But, Tima, THA, SIU, your support, and to our team as well, and the wives of the team.
23:22And for the members that are there, Hulk, Tonga, Neil, Glenn, Valance.
23:29If I miss anybody, I hope I didn't miss anybody.
23:32I hope your jobs are giving you all opportunities to, you know, be a way to deal with this.
23:37This is a national issue here.
23:39You know, that's the thing.
23:40So, we all have jobs.
23:41So, we try our best to actually make sure that there's some other member to be there.
23:47Well, like myself and others, we work.
23:50So, the time to actually, you know.
23:54I think people may not notice that you all have your jobs.
23:56We have our full-time jobs, or depending on the type of job that they're doing, you know.
24:04I guess it's just getting the time off, actually, for that to say that, you know, we could go and
24:08conduct searches,
24:10which, you know, to me, it's basically a national issue at the moment, you know, a pressing issue, you know,
24:15to actually find this two-year-old here, you know.
24:21So, you know, but also, as I said, the wives, especially Crystal and Rihanna, you know, that's Tonga's wife and
24:29Rihanna.
24:29And they are most present.
24:31They are very supportive, you know.
24:34And I mean, I'm somebody who should understand, you know, having somebody who's, you know, supportive,
24:40because I didn't really have it.
24:41Yes, yeah.
24:41You know, I didn't have that support.
24:43Yes, yes.
24:44So, I understand.
24:45But I understand we have a caller, and I will answer this question after.
24:49Caller, good evening.
24:50Yes, definitely, Ritania.
24:52Good evening, sir.
24:53Good evening.
24:53I'm so sorry.
24:54You guys?
24:55Yes.
24:56Good evening.
24:57I said the highway, because, because, I mean, for a treatment, no.
25:05No, this is a treatment, I'm crossing highway.
25:07Oh, the driver, no matter how to pay the consequences, the driver, vehicle, marshal, the driver and worry,
25:14the driver is arrested by the lawmen, and the driver is not guilty.
25:20These people play, they pull out the rules, I get fed up to them now every week,
25:25one of them, drop, and run across the highway, and get lit up by a vehicle, and then they want
25:30to hold the driver.
25:42Yes, thank you, sir.
25:44Azir?
25:45Yes.
25:46Well, I mean, as I was saying earlier, that, you know, there's two things to it.
25:50One is the pedestrian who is on the highway, shouldn't be on the highway.
25:54If you're crossing the highway, because that's the only way for them to get home, they need to be safe
25:59as well
25:59and take all precautions and measures, all measures and precautions, sorry.
26:03Also, for the driver to actually drive with due care and attention.
26:07I know some drivers drive with just looking at 20 feet, but you really need to look much further than
26:12that.
26:13And persons who are actually walking, pedestrians, especially in the nighttime, you need to wear bright colors.
26:19A lot of times, most of the times, you would see persons walking with dark colors.
26:23Yes, black, gray.
26:23It's very hard for you to see because we don't have enough streetlights to actually see you.
26:28So, you know, you really can't fold the driver all the time, but there are times that you can't fold
26:34the driver,
26:34and that's where the investigations come in.
26:37Yeah, this is something that is very concerning because persons, in that matter that we mentioned,
26:43it is stated that the individual was intoxicated, but what about those who are not?
26:47And they're taking a chance.
26:48They're taking a chance.
26:50So you have to be careful.
26:50It's a huge risk in actually doing such.
26:52I mean, one thing is that this person gets injured or killed, and then you have a damaged vehicle.
26:58The driver now will face serious consequences.
27:00The driver will face serious consequences.
27:03He may be injured.
27:04Actually, most of the times, the driver is injured and don't know.
27:08Yes, yeah.
27:08You know, especially if it's a whiplash.
27:09It's only maybe the next day or some of these.
27:11Or years later, the injuries come forward.
27:14Yes, yeah.
27:15Well, what I was going to ask you before the caller came on was that you mentioned, you know,
27:19in one of the cases, the missing persons with mental issues that the young man is faced with.
27:25But what advice you could give to the parents who may be dealing with children with disabilities
27:31and also with mental issues to prevent them from maybe being lost or instances where they are now missing?
27:38You know, there's a very good question because we have one that goes missing very often.
27:46I mean, this young lady, about at least 10 times she went missing because she has a mental disorder.
27:54So, you know, the aunt will always be calling to try to find her, and she would turn up.
28:00She literally would turn up, and somebody would call, and we would get her back.
28:04The thing is that the measures that you would need to be put in place is whereas you would need
28:08guidance
28:09from the different ministries and stakeholders, whereas you would need to do courses, for example,
28:17for persons with Down syndrome, persons who are with autism, you know,
28:22you need to start that from in early years and understanding how they are.
28:27I think, too, as well, parents who are in a situation like that first need to accept what it is
28:36first.
28:37Correct.
28:38Because acceptance will be the first stage, right?
28:40Because if you don't accept it, you'll be living in denial.
28:43That is right.
28:44And then you will just be adding more fuel to the fire than really helping the child
28:47and also helping you understanding how to deal with the child.
28:51Correct.
28:51And then you would not have patience with them because you need extreme, a lot of patience with them
28:57because sometimes they will just say or do things.
28:59Yes.
29:00And you don't know what may be disturbing them at that point in time.
29:03You know, they may throw something like a tantrum.
29:05Yes.
29:05What they feel is a tantrum for them, right?
29:07But even if they reach 20, 30 years old, you're going to expect them to be like that
29:12because their brain development is different.
29:15It's not that they're stupid or anything.
29:16They're not stupid in any which way or form of life.
29:19They are so smart is a shame.
29:21Yes.
29:22Especially with children who suffer with autism.
29:27I shouldn't even say suffer.
29:28Let me rephrase that.
29:28No, they don't suffer.
29:29No, let me rephrase that.
29:30I have to rephrase that because autism, that's something that we're seeing levels of autism
29:34that is happening globally with children.
29:37And most, if not all, children who are autistic are very smart.
29:42It's just levels to it and what triggers them.
29:45So I do apologize for that because it's not something that they're suffering with.
29:48Correct.
29:49They do never suffer with something like that.
29:51It's something that, you know, it's something that they have.
29:56You know, it's not like it's a...
30:00You need to be careful as with it because, I mean, being autistic and understanding that
30:08the brain development itself, and that's what they need to understand, you know, is their
30:12brain development.
30:13How you grow up and how you speak with others is one way.
30:17How they would speak with you is just different.
30:19Different.
30:19Communication is very different with an autistic child.
30:23Each autistic child is different with the way in which they communicate and they react
30:27and what they absorb around them.
30:30So I think parents, too, we all have to pay attention.
30:32Not saying you're just leaving a child as autistic.
30:35Yeah, it doesn't seem like that.
30:35But you need to go to the experts if you see certain things that may seem not, you know...
30:41Sometimes the teachers, when they start greater school, can identify.
30:45But there are times now that when, and that's why they do ultrasound and stuff,
30:50that the doctor may be able to identify that something may be wrong with the child because
30:55of the brain development and all that, you know, they will let you know.
30:59So we have to accept what it is and move.
31:01And move forward.
31:02Yes, we have a caller at this time.
31:03Caller, good evening.
31:04Good afternoon.
31:05Good afternoon.
31:06Good afternoon.
31:06Good afternoon.
31:08Good afternoon.
31:08Do you want to get?
31:09Yes, good evening to you, ma'am.
31:11I walk, I sit down every evening and watch and throw.
31:15I'm very interested.
31:17Thank you so much, too.
31:18And I want to say something, you see, they have some drivers on the road.
31:23They're not carrying a truck.
31:25You know, sometimes you only want to drive in your little car and the drivers of them
31:31are just swinging from such that they have no respect and no regard for other people
31:37who view the road.
31:38You understand, you're going to be a young man, you're a few drive over.
31:43They're so sad, eh?
31:44But the drivers on them, I find, I find folks on them should deal with them.
31:50You understand, because every day you only know that the drivers on them, they have no
31:56regard for nobody else in the road, especially if you see them big trucks on them.
32:02When you drive in your small trucks, in your small car, the big trucks, and then they just
32:08come close to you, and the family should have them big trucks on you, they should have
32:14a special cannon for them on the road.
32:18You want somebody's 30 expense, moms?
32:25Thank you for that, though.
32:26Thank you so much.
32:27Have a blessed evening.
32:27Oh, my word.
32:29I surely would not disagree with her.
32:31Yeah, yeah.
32:31As of lately, I am seeing more and more reckless driving.
32:37Every day you are seeing it.
32:39And, I mean, I have encountered some driving with trucks as well.
32:43Of course, everyone has.
32:45You know?
32:45Everyone has.
32:47And they have been, they're actually going over the speed limit.
32:50Yes.
32:50Because I believe it's 65, if I'm not mistaken.
32:53That is correct.
32:54Yes.
32:54And that is on the highways that it's 100.
32:58So, it's not 65 on a main road.
33:02Before this, I sat up here and said it could drive 65, but that is on a highway.
33:06Correct.
33:06That is on the highway, and their speed limit is 65.
33:08And I didn't drive a truck, and I know that.
33:11Look at that.
33:12Yeah, numerous persons don't even know.
33:13Even maxi-taxis, 65.
33:14I guess it's going to be, yeah.
33:16I guess it's going to be back to be sick, which, of course, the show is running, not keeping people
33:19in the new.
33:20And you'll get more of that shortly.
33:22We need to take that break.
33:23When we come back, we'll continue with more.

35:07We're worth it.
35:18And we are back.
35:19And as I mentioned, as before, where I learn a few things from Back to Basics.
35:24So I think the nation will continue learning along with me.
35:27So let's head back to basics now.
35:30Yes.
35:37I am the president of the Princeton Police Station Council.
35:40And we are out here today in San Fernando to partner with the officers to have some traffic stops and
35:46some communication with the public.
35:48And I see all the documents is in perfect order.
35:53Right?
35:54And I see you were issued your license in 1985.
36:00So because you have that great wealth of knowledge of driving a million road,
36:05I would like to know if I can ask you a few questions about the road and safety regulations.
36:13How is that song?
36:16Excellent.
36:18Right?
36:19So this is the first question.
36:21Very easy.
36:22Something you know since 1985.
36:25You should under all conditions driving at a speed that will allow you to
36:30A. Stop waiting 150 meters or 500 feet.
36:34B. Stop waiting 90 meters or 300 feet.
36:38C. Stop waiting 60 meters or 200 feet.
36:41Or D. Stop waiting a safe distance.
36:45I am going either C or D.
36:52Give me a hand on the hardest one.
36:55You are going to do it.
36:57And then, um...
37:00I mean, you are on the right part, you know?
37:01You are on the right part, C or D.
37:03Okay? But narrow it down for me.
37:07Alright, let's see.
37:10And the answer was D.
37:13But that's okay, that's okay.
37:15We have two more to go.
37:16Two more to go, right?
37:17So here's this one.
37:44Right, so this one is the most easiest one of the all, right?
37:48So I'm going to read your hand signal.
37:50I just want you to do the hand signal for me.
37:51What are you talking about?
37:53Wow.
37:53That's good.
37:54Alright, good, right?
37:55So I would like you to make the motion to signal that if it is safe to overtake.
38:02Wow.
38:02I don't know.
38:05Well, it has to start with your right hand.
38:07So if you signal it, it can't overtake.
38:10Let me see it.
38:13Give me a little figure in it now, you want it can't overtake.
38:16That is overtake.
38:17Look at one.
38:19A good notch.
38:20So here, what's going on?
38:24Two out of three isn't bad.
38:27And because you were such a good sport, we have a price here for you, right?
38:32Hi.
38:33Good afternoon.
38:34Good afternoon.
38:36Thank you so much.
38:39Well, guys, we are doing exceptional, but we are looking for a perfect.
38:44We want a three out of three.
38:45We are looking for that elusive three out of three.
38:57And that was your Back to Basic with PC Bubble.
39:00Now, Desi, how many you got?
39:03I got all three.
39:04I realized that because you were getting...
39:06Three.
39:07Not the three outside.
39:08Not the three outside.
39:08Yeah, yeah, no, you definitely...
39:10The coconut tree.
39:10From the time you were seeing it, you gave the answers correctly.
39:14But are your skills sharp?
39:16Tell me, what do you think the importance of this is for the public?
39:21For me, a lot of the public...
39:24Wait, hold on.
39:25Let me go back a little bit.
39:27Not a lot.
39:27There are a fair amount of the public, I believe,
39:32if they didn't get a license out of a cracker jack box...
39:34Listen to me.
39:36Listen to me.
39:38Something got to be wrong because...
39:41Some of the drivers that I see is like,
39:45what you doing?
39:45What you doing?
39:46It's confusing.
39:47You're going to overtake on a blind corner.
39:51I never get that to know.
39:53It happened to me.
39:54I could never understand that drive.
39:56Earlier this year, or late last year,
39:59a motorcyclist coming around...
40:02That is by the police station.
40:04So that corner, it's very sharp.
40:06And he came in between.
40:09He came on the right-hand side of the vehicle together,
40:13where he was coming with,
40:14and then came across on my lane.
40:15I now have to pull across to kind of...
40:17To make way.
40:18To make way for him.
40:19Eventually hit my wing mirror.
40:22And he's on a bike.
40:25That is a serious risk to take.
40:27But there are a lot of persons, really and truly,
40:29they do not understand the regulations.
40:31I wonder how many people can actually tell me,
40:34what does AMBA mean?
40:36Yes.
40:36And AMBA actually means stop.
40:39A lot of people say,
40:39go, you know, continue, go ahead.
40:42But AMBA means stop.
40:43Yeah.
40:44Well, it's to proceed with caution.
40:46No.
40:46AMBA means stop.
40:48Oh, AMBA means stop.
40:49Ready to stop.
40:49Ready to stop.
40:50But AMBA is to proceed with caution,
40:52and then you'll proceed with...
40:54And that's why I learned at one point,
40:55and it told me, no, AMBA is to stop.
40:56No, AMBA can't be mean to stop.
40:57So when we look back at the regulations,
40:59I say, look, AMBA is to stop.
41:01And why?
41:01I mean, for one of the reasons I would say
41:03is because when emergency vehicles are coming,
41:06you never know when they're going to pass.
41:08No, you wouldn't.
41:08So that is actually a good time to actually,
41:11you know, make sure you stop.
41:12But do you think that persons now,
41:14the regulations where we stand,
41:16when you go to renew your license,
41:18that we should be tested once again
41:21before you're able...
41:22Just to make sure your skills are sharp.
41:24Because some persons could tell you
41:25they bought their license back in the day.
41:28Yes.
41:28They never...
41:29I know persons who bought their license.
41:31Yes.
41:31A fair amount of them.
41:32I think all of us, but my thing is...
41:34I bought mine as well, you know.
41:35But I pass your regulations to actually buy it.
41:38No, okay, all right.
41:39No, we all pay for it.
41:40We all pay, but what I'm saying is
41:41persons who did not even...
41:43They didn't do the regulations.
41:44Yeah, in the vehicle, they never went
41:45and they didn't do the test.
41:46They didn't do the test at all
41:47and they paid for it.
41:49And the persons who are holding those positions
41:51and taking money...
41:52Correct.
41:53...from individuals,
41:54so just give them a license
41:55so you can get a quick kickback.
41:57That's right.
41:57You are endangering many persons on the roads
42:00and you can take a life.
42:01You're just as guilty as a person
42:03who is paying you for that license
42:06that they are not qualified for.
42:08And we see it.
42:09Absolutely.
42:09So that's why the saying is
42:11that person buy their license out.
42:12Yeah.
42:13A nice way the saying comes from.
42:14But the crazy thing is
42:15some people who really did it test
42:17and paid for their license the legit way,
42:19you still have to wonder.
42:21Yeah, actually, you still have to wonder
42:23because, you know,
42:24we'll talk about defensive driving
42:26and also, but there's also offensive driving.
42:29Yes.
42:29Because, you know,
42:30well, you know, I'm going,
42:32I'm going to pull away.
42:33But if it is that you can maneuver properly...
42:36That's a form of defensive driving.
42:38And you can save your vehicle and others.
42:40We have a caller on the line.
42:41Caller, good evening.
42:42Yeah, good afternoon.
42:44Good evening, ma'am.
42:46Yes, to me,
42:47I'm listening to be on the chase.
42:49Amber from regulations,
42:50what I know means tough.
42:52And if tough cannot be made,
42:54then you are supposed to proceed
42:55with caution.
42:57That is providing
42:58if you pass the white line.
43:00What do you mean,
43:00when you say the white line?
43:01So when you pass the solid white line,
43:03when you pass the solid white line
43:04and it's safe for you to go,
43:06you continue?
43:06Oh, well, yeah, yeah, yeah.
43:07Well, that's what we understand.
43:08That's in the regulations as well.
43:09Yes, it's there.
43:10But it's,
43:10it just goes to show
43:11that we have to brush up.
43:13But I love how that she knows that.
43:14Yeah, we have to brush up on it
43:16because,
43:17and it's surprising also
43:18that we are speaking about it
43:20because back to basic,
43:20they showed it as well.
43:22They gave us opportunity
43:23where they asked,
43:24they gave the question,
43:25and how would you,
43:26because some people say,
43:27we'll fly through the traffic light
43:29and that's something you shouldn't do.
43:31Well, here's the next one for you,
43:32the pedestrian crossing.
43:33Oh, we've had that
43:34to the zebra crossing
43:35as we know it.
43:36Numerous persons
43:36will stop on the crossing itself.
43:38You could get charged.
43:39Exactly.
43:40You could get charged.
43:41So, you know,
43:41you stop before it
43:42and you will have somebody
43:43blowing your horn.
43:43Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep.
43:44No, you can't.
43:45Yeah, you could blow your horn
43:46as much as you want here, pal.
43:47I'm not going on to that.
43:49Yeah, no, no.
43:50We have a call on the land
43:51call. Good evening.
43:55Hello.
43:55Hi, good evening.
43:56Good evening.
43:57Good evening.
43:57Good evening, darling.
43:59I want to call them
43:59to let them know
44:00how much I support the police.
44:02I'm eight years of age
44:04and I've never met
44:06a bad policeman yet.
44:08But that is going to make
44:09greatest wish
44:10to meet a bad policeman.
44:12Oh, gosh.
44:13Oh, my gosh.
44:14And I stay over here
44:16and call them
44:17and tell them
44:18in palatine we are still
44:19letting go
44:20in dog biting people.
44:21And at this time
44:23they're going to say
44:23about that for me.
44:25My husband has
44:27Parkinson's disease
44:28and two policemen
44:30carried me
44:30to buy groceries.
44:33Two policemen,
44:34one rose to
44:35assistant commissioner
44:36when they're really here.
44:38I will never forget that.
44:41Policemen trying hard.
44:42I wish every month
44:44I could give them a tip.
44:46Thank you so much.
44:47That's what I wish.
44:48Yes.
44:49I don't know
44:50if my message
44:50will go through
44:53but this is a task.
44:55All right.
44:55And 80 years.
44:5680 years.
44:59All right.
44:59Thank you, ma'am.
45:01I hope you get your wish.
45:02Yes.
45:03Same here.
45:04And it's nice to hear
45:05somebody who is 80 years old
45:07and have the mentals
45:08intact as well.
45:09Still and strong.
45:10So I hope the wish
45:11comes through.
45:11We take that break.
45:12We'll be back.
45:24In every home,
45:26the kitchen is where
45:27it all happens.
45:28And the right stove,

47:41let's work together
47:42for a safer community.
47:43And of course,
47:44you can follow all your socials
47:45to find out more.
47:47So mark the date.
47:48Members in the community,
47:49this is your time
47:49to connect with the TTPS
47:52and let them know
47:52your concerns and issues
47:54and what you could also
47:55contribute as well.
47:56Now before we head back
47:57to the phone lines,
47:58as I was asking you,
47:59you know,
48:00with regards to
48:01prisons going back,
48:02when you're going
48:03to renew your license,
48:04do you think
48:05it should be now
48:06recommended
48:07that we also take
48:11another regulation?
48:12See,
48:12you're going to give
48:13a free consultation here.
48:16No,
48:16I'm just saying,
48:17you know,
48:18making the road safe.
48:19I do believe
48:19it's a good idea.
48:20Now,
48:21here's where
48:22I will take it in here.
48:24Whereas,
48:25persons who has
48:28about
48:29between five
48:30to ten offenses,
48:31yes,
48:32then,
48:32I think those persons
48:33should be revaluated.
48:35I like that.
48:36It shouldn't just be
48:37everybody,
48:38because if it is
48:39that I'm driving,
48:40you know,
48:40and I don't have
48:41any offenses,
48:41I'm not doing anything,
48:42really and truly,
48:44let the other person
48:45who have five plus
48:46or ten plus,
48:48you know,
48:48somewhere there about,
48:49let them actually,
48:49you know,
48:51you know,
48:53to reassess
48:53what you know
48:54about your regulations.
48:55Yes.
48:56You know,
48:56so that you would
48:57drive safer.
48:58Do you think also,
48:59like how we have
49:00baby on board,
49:01the sign that we will
49:02put in to let
49:03the public know
49:04who the drivers
49:05are here
49:05that there's a baby.
49:06You have a little one,
49:07so take your time
49:08when you're driving around.
49:09Right.
49:09Should we also have
49:10signs for those
49:11who are elderly drivers?
49:13Because sometimes,
49:14I think people,
49:15it's only after the fact
49:16and you pass
49:17and you realize
49:17they're an elderly driver.
49:17You're an elderly driver,
49:18yes.
49:19I mean,
49:20you feel like a little bit
49:21like a loser.
49:21You should,
49:21yes.
49:22But I mean,
49:22even with the persons
49:23who have a baby on board
49:24and you're driving
49:25ridiculous actually,
49:26but yes,
49:27I do believe
49:27that we should have
49:28something for elderly persons
49:30because their cognitive
49:32would just be
49:34slightly slower
49:35or it's just that
49:36they're just being
49:37more cautious.
49:38Yes,
49:38with their driving.
49:40Correct.
49:40Because then so we could
49:41also make them
49:41an unnecessary target.
49:43Correct.
49:44And we don't want that.
49:45Yes,
49:45that is correct.
49:46So we have a call
49:47online.
49:47Caller,
49:48good evening.
49:49Hello.
49:50Hi,
49:50good evening.
49:50Hi,
49:51good evening.
49:51Hello,
49:51good afternoon.
49:52Hi,
49:53how are you?
49:53Good evening.
49:54I am so blessed.
49:55I'm calling to find out
49:56at what age
49:57a child is supposed
49:57to be sitting
49:58in sports
49:58than my vehicle.
50:00I teach you
50:00at five years
50:01sitting in sports
50:02than my vehicle.
50:04Is that safe?
50:05I will be floppy.
50:07Sure.
50:07I don't want to talk
50:08loosely here.
50:09Actually,
50:09I can make mention
50:10of this because
50:11I have children.
50:12At five years of age
50:14for the law itself,
50:15whereas you have
50:16to be in a car seat.
50:18in a booster seat.
50:18After that,
50:19it's...
50:20That's what I'm saying.
50:20They don't have anything
50:21in place.
50:22They can sit
50:22in the front.
50:24However,
50:25for me,
50:26this is my opinion,
50:28they should not
50:28be in a front seat,
50:29especially whereas
50:31the shoulder belt
50:33is not reaching up
50:35to pass in between
50:37the shoulder
50:37and the neck.
50:40So that it could be
50:41on the blade right here.
50:42That's where it should be
50:43because most of the times
50:44you're going to see
50:45it cutting up
50:46on the neck
50:46to the chin bone.
50:49Yeah.
50:49So I guess maybe
50:50over the age of eight
50:51should be suffice
50:53because every child
50:53is built differently, right?
50:54It actually should be
50:54by height.
50:55Yeah.
50:56Like a ride.
50:57Correct.
50:58If you go into
50:58amusement park.
50:59That's correct.
51:00Hello, good evening.
51:00We have a call
51:01on the line again.
51:02Yeah, hello.
51:03Hi.
51:04Good evening.
51:04Hi, good evening.
51:06Right.
51:06I wanted to know
51:07what is going on
51:07with the police officers
51:09and those
51:10warden officers, right?
51:11They are giving people
51:13tickets,
51:14I mean,
51:14for plenty months.
51:16And I want to know
51:16what if a young person
51:17no pay for
51:19to pay for tickets
51:20for $2,000
51:22because if you have a tent
51:25and they charge you
51:25for tires
51:26and they don't even
51:27want somebody
51:28when they see them
51:28they're not warning you
51:29and saying they're listening.
51:31You get me tickets
51:32this is whatever
51:32the problem is done
51:33by whether it's a week
51:34or a month
51:35and then they give you
51:35a ticket.
51:36They give you a ticket
51:37immediately
51:38for so many
51:39thousands of dollars.
51:40I don't know
51:41how do they expect
51:41crimes to be done
51:42in this country
51:43like finish up
51:44when they do
51:45things like that.
51:46And the police officers,
51:47the corporal,
51:48the normal ones
51:49and those wicked
51:52warden officers,
51:52wicked warden officers
51:55are more worse than
51:56the police officers.
51:58The evil, evil, evil,
52:00I stand up
52:00and watch that for myself
52:01and the only thing
52:02I didn't do is cry
52:03and it was a nice place
52:05unless somebody
52:06was giving a ticket
52:07and they give tickets
52:08one after the other.
52:09I mean,
52:10that could be fear.
52:11What are they doing
52:12to people?
52:13What do they expect
52:14you to do
52:15when you do something
52:15like that?
52:16Right?
52:17And I hope
52:18that you all
52:18look at these wicked
52:20police officers
52:20and these wicked
52:21warden officers
52:21what they are doing
52:22to people.
52:23They are evil
52:24and I know
52:25they will suffer
52:25in their lives.
52:26They will never be
52:27taken good
52:28because you're
52:29looking at a young
52:29innocent person
52:30and you're doing
52:31that kind of thing.
52:32How do you expect
52:32them to survive?
52:34Yeah.
52:35Thank you so much,
52:36Kola.
52:36Well, it's a good
52:37thing I'm ESP.
52:38Russell is not here.
52:40This evening.
52:42Because,
52:43I'm telling you,
52:44you will say
52:44if you're breaking
52:44the law.
52:46I mean,
52:46if you're breaking
52:47the law,
52:48you're breaking
52:48the law.
52:48But there's also
52:50the human aspect
52:51of it with any law.
52:55Discretion.
53:20Discretion.
53:21good evening.
53:23Good evening.
53:23Hi.
53:25I was listening
53:26to your program,
53:27right?
53:27And I think
53:28you all were talking
53:29about the
53:30under five years
53:31with the car seat.
53:33Yeah, the five,
53:33yeah,
53:33when they could go
53:34to the front.
53:35Right.
53:36So I think
53:36the passenger side
53:38is under 12 years.
53:41Under 12?
53:43Yeah,
53:43under 12.
53:44So what's your
53:45under?
53:46Over,
53:47over 12.
53:47In order for you
53:50to be in the passenger
53:51side seat is 12 years.
53:54Over 12?
53:55Over 12?
53:56Yeah,
53:56over 12.
53:56Over 12.
53:57Over 12.
53:57Yes, thanks.
53:58Okay.
53:59Yes,
53:59but we will definitely
54:00get more information
54:01on that tomorrow.
54:01Just to be clear,
54:04you know,
54:04we don't want to,
54:05you know,
54:06assume.
54:07We don't want any more
54:08tickets being assumed.
54:08For me,
54:09it should be by height.
54:10Again,
54:10I still believe
54:11it should be by height.
54:12Because there may be
54:13a six-year-old
54:14that may be taller
54:15than me.
54:16Correct.
54:16We have another caller.
54:17Caller,
54:17good evening.
54:20Hello?
54:20Hi,
54:21good evening.
54:22Hi,
54:22good afternoon.
54:23Hi,
54:24good evening.
54:24Good evening.
54:25Hi,
54:25good evening.
54:26Hi,
54:26guys.
54:27My comment is
54:29my observation,
54:31okay,
54:31so,
54:32like in San Fernando,
54:33when pedestrians
54:34cross on the
54:36people crossing,
54:39somebody drives
54:40not stopping.
54:41And I mean,
54:42it has no warden
54:43officer to put
54:45these people in
54:45check.
54:46And also,
54:48as a driver,
54:49people who
54:50park on the
54:50side of the
54:51road,
54:51they're just
54:51pulling out
54:52without any
54:52indication.
54:54They're not
54:54even looking.
54:55Yeah.
54:56I think we
54:56should have
54:57more warden
54:58officers on
54:59the road at
54:59a particular
55:00time for
55:01these people
55:01to be ticketed
55:02because these
55:03people can't
55:04cause accidents.
55:05They can even
55:06bump down
55:06people.
55:08That's my
55:08comment.
55:09Yes.
55:10Thank you so
55:10much.
55:11What are your
55:12thoughts?
55:13You know,
55:13I mean,
55:13there's a
55:13pedestrian cross in
55:14you're really
55:14supposed to
55:15stop.
55:15Yes.
55:16No,
55:16but sometimes
55:16the pedestrians
55:17also need to
55:18be held
55:18accountable,
55:19you know,
55:20because the
55:20way in which
55:21you can't
55:21just be on
55:22the pavement
55:22and then
55:22throw your
55:23frame and
55:24walk out
55:24onto the
55:25road across.
55:26through your
55:26frame.
55:26Yeah,
55:26because it's
55:27like a
55:27whole frame
55:29onto the
55:29road because
55:30you just
55:31assume that
55:32nothing coming
55:33or, as
55:34you said,
55:34once you see
55:35a pedestrian,
55:36driver should
55:36immediately
55:37stop.
55:38well, I
55:39mean, so
55:40the pedestrian
55:41crossing will
55:42be mainly
55:43on, sorry,
55:43or most
55:44of the times
55:44you see them
55:45on the
55:45eastern main
55:45road or
55:46side roads.
55:48I don't
55:48really see
55:49them on
55:49the highways
55:49that much.
55:54right, so
55:57you know,
55:58you're not
55:59driving that
56:00fast, 50
56:01kilometers or
56:02even less
56:03depending on
56:04where you
56:04are in the
56:05environment.
56:06It's not
56:07hard for you
56:07to stop for
56:08a pedestrian
56:08crossing.
56:09If it is that
56:10you are going
56:10to cross,
56:12you as the
56:12pedestrian need
56:13to make eye
56:14contact with
56:15the driver.
56:15I want you
56:16to finish
56:17your point.
56:17We have a
56:17final caller.
56:18Let's enter
56:19the phone
56:19nights quickly
56:19before we
56:20wrap up.
56:20Caller, good
56:21evening.
56:21Yes, good
56:22evening,
56:22good evening
56:22and hello
56:23to your
56:24friend there.
56:25Yes, good
56:26thank you.
56:26First thing,
56:27amber means
56:27slow down,
56:28not stop.
56:30Amber, if
56:30you are getting
56:31people confused
56:32and stop
56:32with amber,
56:33it's going to
56:34be a lot
56:34of accidents.
56:35Sometimes
56:35you have to
56:36be close to
56:37the white line
56:37and you can't
56:38stop, you
56:39have to go
56:39to the other
56:39people have
56:40to be
56:40affected,
56:41number one.
56:42Number two,
56:42going to
56:43Maracas,
56:43I had a
56:43bad experience.
56:45People are
56:45buying shape
56:46and they
56:47can shop
56:48and that's
56:48no parking
56:49sign.
56:50with a
56:51slash,
56:52with a
56:52green,
56:53nine years
56:54old.
56:55Please,
56:56get the
56:56government
56:57to change
56:57that sign.
56:58People are
56:59pouring up
56:59completely
57:00and you know
57:01what they want?
57:01They're not
57:02taking your
57:02card,
57:03they want
57:03cash.
57:04a lady
57:04was crying
57:05and I
57:05had to
57:06take her
57:06to the
57:06bank
57:06and get
57:07a cash
57:07and bring
57:07her.
57:08The time
57:08is coming
57:08close so
57:09I wonder
57:09those two
57:10things,
57:10get them
57:11going at
57:11too many
57:12talking
57:12with you
57:12and say
57:13blah,
57:13blah,
57:14blah,
57:14blah.
57:15Same thing,
57:15we want
57:16to see
57:16police
57:16story.
57:17All right.
57:20Thank you
57:21so much.
