00:00Hi there. It's certainly feeling cold in the wind out there and that brisk wind from the
00:05north-northwest is sending a lot of showers towards the UK. Even some longer spells of
00:11rain at times. Low pressure dominating the weather at the moment and we keep this cold
00:16and showery airflow through Wednesday, Thursday and into Friday effectively. You can see how
00:21many showers there are out there. These merging together to give longer spells of rain at
00:26times especially for northern parts of England, eastern England, central areas
00:30of Scotland. If I had to pick somewhere that will be drier and brighter it will be
00:34towards the southwest. Even here the odd shower couldn't be ruled out and this
00:38brisk wind coming from the north and northwest is going to make it feel cold.
00:43So all the temperatures on the thermometer reading 14 or 15 Celsius in the south, 11
00:48to 13 further north. This is how it will feel in the wind so you'd knock four
00:53degrees or so off across southern and southwestern parts. Nevertheless there will
00:57be some brighter interludes coming through. It's not really raining everywhere all the
01:01time. Best of any drier spells towards the west but even as we go into the
01:05evening and overnight those showers continue. Some inland locations drying up a
01:09touch but I suspect there'll be more showers for parts of Wales in the southwest
01:13compared with daylight hours. Certainly plenty more coming through across northern
01:17Scotland, Northern Ireland, eastern England as well. Something a little drier and clearer for
01:23southwest Scotland, northwest England perhaps the Midlands. And where we get some
01:26clear spells and some shelter from the breeze temperatures will drop to the mid
01:31or even low single figures. So another chilly start to Thursday but so that
01:36brisk wind continues touching gale force in the far north of Scotland making it
01:40feel cold. Cold enough for some snow over the peaks of Scotland and some hail out
01:45there as well. Some thunder, similar theme on Wednesday I should have said. Some hail and
01:49thunder mixed in with showers. But once again there'll be some drier and brighter
01:53weather to be had. Northern Ireland perhaps drying out and parts of central
01:57England seeing some drier spells. Further showers though and more frequent showers
02:02I think for the south and southwest compared with Wednesday. Longer spells of rain
02:07where these showers merge. Temperatures well if anything a degree or so lower
02:13compared with Wednesday in some spots especially in the south. And again take into
02:18account the wind. It's going to feel significantly cooler than that. The showers
02:23will continue in places through Thursday evening. Again merging together to give
02:28longer spells of rain but some drier and clearer interludes as well. We keep the
02:33showery airflow as we end the week but through the weekend it ever so slowly starts
02:40to warm up. Bye bye.
