00:00Hello, very good day to you. There's quite a cool feel out there for some of us at the moment
00:04and
00:04there's more cool weather to come as we go through the rest of this week. Currently there's a cold
00:09front lying across the UK. It's bringing a bit of cloud, a bit of rain yes, but also colder, cooler
00:15air from the north is lingering behind it and all of that is going to push its way southwards as
00:20we
00:20go through the next few hours. Ahead of the front actually there's some decent sunshine across parts
00:25of the southeast but here it is going to turn cloudier as we go through the afternoon with a
00:29few spots of rain. Behind that front not only do we have that fresher air but we also have plenty
00:35of
00:35showers. These are quite heavy at times, perhaps even a bit wintry and maybe the odd rumble of
00:39thunder across parts of Scotland. Ahead of the front and on itself still relatively warm temperatures
00:45peaking, mid-teens, highs of 60 maybe 17 celsius perhaps towards the south but elsewhere a few
00:51degrees fresher than this and feeling cool especially with some blustery winds towards the northwest.
00:57Once that front clears away towards the south we're actually going to have a good deal of
01:01late sunshine across the bulk of England and Wales and with then clear skies to start the night it
01:06could turn a bit chilly first thing overnight but through the early hours of Wednesday morning the
01:12showers across the north are going to become more widespread and it is going to be a bit breezy,
01:16a bit blustery at times. As a result I'm not expecting it to be as chilly as it was last
01:21night
01:21for many places especially especially across England and Wales temperatures holding up mid to
01:25high single figures for many places a bit of a contrast to last night where we saw temperatures
01:30dropping below freezing in quite a few spots. So a less chilly start to the day tomorrow but a very
01:38showery one plenty of showers some of them heavy some of them thundery particularly towards eastern
01:43parts perhaps here we have the greatest chance of a few rumbles of thunder a bit of hail possible
01:47and still some winteriness some sleet some snow over the higher ground of Scotland cannot be ruled
01:52out. Whilst it's in the east where we have the greatest chance of some thunder tomorrow albeit
01:57quite isolated further west we have the strongest winds it's going to be quite blustery quite breezy
02:02some brisk winds feeding down the western side could affect parts of the southwest as well
02:06and those blustery winds will add to the cool feel with that fresher air having plunged its way
02:12southwards for many temperatures are going to be down a few degrees and yes when you factor in
02:17those winds feeling a fair bit fresher as well. That being said you know at this time of year the
02:22sun
02:23has some decent strength so in any sunny breaks and shelter from the wind not feeling too bad at all.
02:28More showers to come through the evening on Wednesday just signs of something a little bit drier perhaps
02:33over parts of Scotland but yes it's it's looking pretty changeable as we go through the next few days
02:38really changeable on Thursday so some drier weather but also some rain at times. The winds should be easing
02:45out however and we stick with the cool feel for now signs of perhaps something a little bit drier for
02:51a time
02:51by the weekend and maybe a slight rise in our temperatures but generally temperatures staying a little
02:57bit below average for the time of year. For more information about that well why don't you watch our deep
