00:09the ride it's time for figgy's mixtape on sports radio 16 yes it is the mixtape in the loop sports
00:17radio 16 it's your man figgy fig holding it down on a tuesday happy tuesday to everyone out there
00:24so yesterday in the mixtape uh i started off i talked about a houston attorney who got stolen
00:29long and uh do y'all know what stole is is that kind of a universal term i'm familiar okay
00:35okay
00:35sometimes the cleveland slang be coming out of me looking at me crazy no i think that one is a
00:40little bit more widely regarded now lopez i was i was interested in him knowing he got popped
00:44about getting you know about getting stolen you get punched yeah yeah yeah and pretty much stolen
00:52is kind of like a you know snuck cold cocked yeah or snuck yeah he got stolen yeah but
00:59um we talked about that yesterday and now we got to talk about a guy who stole another man's
01:05identity oh so he actually took another man's identity and this started i want to say he met
01:12the guy back in the 80s and just been living off this man's name for years so let's go to
01:18cbs news
01:18in minnesota for this story this is a story of stolen identity a movie could be about this the man
01:24you see here on the left is matthew kurens but investigators say he has been living the past
01:2930 years pretending to be the guy on the right williams woods and now kurens will spend more than
01:34a decade in prison so here's the story here investigators say the men worked at a hot dog stand together
01:40in the 80s and that's when kurens got his hands on wood social security card used to create a whole
01:46new
01:46life the fake woods got married had a kid opened a bank account started a successful it career
01:52and then in 2019 the real woods tried to get his identity back but then kurens tricked investigators
01:58into thinking woods was the imposter woods was charged and sent to a mental hospital
02:03where he was forcibly medicated dna eventually revealed the truth kurens is now serving a 12
02:09year prison sentence hold on we didn't check dna until sending him to prison start giving him
02:16drugs in a mental institution like clearly you're medicate this man he's lying they didn't think
02:22until he was in prison they were like god hey you want to do a dna test hey i'm not
02:26even saying this
02:27as passive aggressive anything but god bless him bless his heart no man i'd be upset yeah he was
02:34they got him all drugged up in a mental institution oh just imagine somebody take your identity yeah
02:39and you say i'm john p lopez what are you talking like no you're not drug him up hold him
02:46down get
02:47him boys put him in that straight coat you need a lobotomy is what you need uh man this is
02:52the real
02:52life with a madman that's a real story that's a that's a real story should be a movie it should
02:57be
02:57here's the other thing that's really weird that that struck me when you the reporter was talking about
03:02matthew kierens is the guy that stole william woods identity he had enough gumption to be an
03:10it guy get go to school why can't you do that as yourself i was wondering what what was so
03:15bad
03:16about your idea i know why can't you just do that as as yourself just went on got married yeah
03:21the good
03:21life yeah went to school nice career got married we were in the 80s like credit scores weren't that
03:26like what were you running for ladies when the credit crash was for one thing maybe
03:31maybe i don't know wanted to get away from credit debt i mean was your identity that bad
03:36yeah you know what that might be the only thing like he probably racked up a ton of bills and
03:41just
03:41got out and said you know because he's like i said he had enough going on for him that he
03:45could do all
03:46these things and get married have kids good job it job all that stuff this this did happen in madman
03:52and i might be ruining it for you but hey that came out like a decade ago deal with it
03:56yeah but the
03:57dude's identity that he stole was dead in that instance immediately i'm like how do you steal the
04:01identity of somebody who's live that's like relatively close to you yeah and then why did
04:05it take so long for this confrontation to happen because i feel like when somebody steals your
04:09identity the the remnants of such pop up in your life right immediately like whether it's credit
04:14report or well i mean bill at least then maybe it's not digitized so it comes but you're getting
04:19bills in a couple of years but within a few years i got to recognize hey man something funny is
04:24happening here 2019 is when he tried to get his identity like what are you doing big dog what were
04:28you doing this whole time from a dude i worked at a hot dog stand with in the 80s what
04:33a hilarious
04:33nice little touch for this to happen a nice little touch it was just like the wiener schnitzel
04:37your whole life fell apart wait a minute i was making glizzies with this guy
04:43that's the guy that took my identity back in the 80s yeah let me take you back to 1980
04:49at the hot dog stand man that's a wild one yeah yeah so um it's kind of suck he was
04:55medicated and
04:56all that yeah that was that's that's the sad part right he's got to take whatever state that was it
05:00you said washington uh minnesota it might have been minnesota i feel like you got to take this
05:05the state to the to the woodshed yeah you got to pay me some money or something that's right
05:09and give me a book deal tv deal that's right so whatever movie y'all make i get some of
05:15that bread too
05:17it's the mistake in the loop sports radio 16 speaking of a movie man i've been keeping up
05:23with this um stefan diggs trial yeah man it just started uh yesterday it started yesterday yeah i've
05:29been watching watching uh most of it yesterday i've been back here to be honest during the breaks
05:34uh checking in on it and man i look i don't know what happened i'm not saying sitting here and
05:42saying
05:42stefan um stefan is guilty or not guilty or anything like that but um the young lady by the
05:48name of mila adams who was his former personal chef she up there getting cooked man oh really man she's
05:57man they catching her in all type of different lot they they pulling up receipts and she up there
06:03stuttering and changing their story and oh it's it's looking rough man and look i'm not saying
06:09whatever he did and by the way he was accused i think he faced the charges uh felony strangulation
06:15and misdemeanor assault and battery so that's his charges right now are you gonna play any audio of
06:22her yeah i'm gonna play a clip of her so um this is a clip of her i guess she
06:30was talking about she
06:31wasn't paid for that's the one that's why i asked because i saw this one this is wild yeah she
06:35wasn't
06:36paid for services yeah but the attorney pulled up some receipts and said ashley you were and it
06:42turned out miss adams you had gotten paid for two of the three weeks that you said you hadn't gotten
06:47paid for right this is missing a whole lot of stuff yes or no question i can't answer your question
06:53correctly without the proper evidence your honor may approach read it
06:59as you go with her seats this document as text exchanges between you and sunny
07:05yes they did december 9 2025 yes and you're the person in the bubbles on the left yes and you
07:15write
07:15to sunny hey so i looked over my transfers payment history and they said payments 11 7 and 11 21
07:24totaling four thousand dollars see that yes so you knew that you had actually been paid for two
07:31of those three weeks that you tried to get paid for again right uh what's your name
07:36i don't know man she was getting cooked up there to the point she was like wait actually what is
07:52your
07:52name what's your name who the hell are you ain't nobody like you know a lot what is your name
07:57nobody
07:57in that courtroom is gonna buy fall for that man and this is one of many i think is continuing
08:02on
08:03today yeah and she was up there i think 10 minutes in she was struggling hey man and look i'm
08:09not saying
08:10she's guilty or he's guilty or not guilty i don't know what hell he probably did it i don't know
08:16it doesn't sound like that part no and the way she's up there man struggling with her stories and
08:21stuff like that and just you know they pulling up receipts man it's not looking good for her i like
08:27to say often that i come to sports to see incredible like people do incredible things that defense
08:32attorney was cooking yes she was when she started being like right i was like oh i know you you
08:38were
08:38your bag your honor can i approach the bench here you go these receipts right here this you right here
08:43right you said that right i was like oh she's in her bag she might as well have done a
08:49360 fade away
08:50in your eye pull up jumper she blew a kiss to the sky man she's in there cooking she did
08:57the michael
08:57jordan shrug on the way back down the court yep yep so um yeah it was a lot of this
09:02to be honest i
09:03ain't gonna play it all but it was a lot of this she was struggling and she of course she's
09:08getting
09:08cooked online as well what's her name uh mila mila adams all right well i thought you're talking
09:14about the defense attorney what was your name again well we can find that out man she sounded like a
09:19man trying to come up with her lie yeah yeah she's like what's your name i need to address you
09:22by your
09:23name ma'am it is a yes or no question yeah yeah so it's a lot going on with this
09:27case if you're
09:27interested uh check it out uh it is kind of crazy how stefan diggs had this uh living
09:33chef that uh by the way she did admit that they had a relationship before she was his chef
09:39oh really yeah she admitted that on the stand and what did he do he decided to move her in
09:46so she
09:46could be the chef what'd you say about honey and bread what was that again how did that go yep
09:51yep yep yep yep so um best of luck to everybody in that trial hey man
09:57it's the mistake in the loop sports radio 16 so i ran across this podcast called two guys on the
10:03plane podcast and i'm guessing i like it already by the way yeah so i'm guessing this is about a
10:11podcast with former flight attendants and all that telling wild stories they heard or witness yeah so
10:18here's one of them and you know when you whenever you get on the plane and flight attendants say hey
10:24carry-ons put your carry-ons up there put your carry-on your personal bag down there uh well
10:30a flight attendant did this and somebody took it literally she was like okay the infant seated in
10:37this seat and i was like okay so i walk over and i like look in the row and there's
10:42like nothing that
10:43even leads me to believe that an infant was carried on there's no diaper bag there's no like toys or
10:47blankets or anything it's just a lady sitting there and i was like um excuse me ma'am and she
10:53was
10:53like yes and i was like um i'm being told that you have a baby um on the plane with
10:59us today and
11:00she said i do and i said um okay but where can you tell me where the right where is
11:07the baby and she
11:08was like oh it's in the overhead bin and i was like um excuse me she was like yeah you
11:13said to put
11:14carry-on items in the overhead bin and i carried the baby on so like i opened the overhead bin
11:19and laid
11:19out on like a pile of blankets with all of her toys is the baby and i like she thought
11:28her baby
11:29was a carry-on item she placed her baby in the overhead bin because we had instructed them to put
11:34everything that they carried on either under the seat or in an overhead bin and she did not think it
11:39was safe for the baby to be under the seat because it was gross yeah so she laid out all
11:43the blankets
11:43and put the baby in an overhead bin so you know as polite as i could explain because it's clearly
11:49a first-time traveler like this isn't something we're new to babies obviously goodness gracious
11:56it's kind of brilliant in a very dark way it's kind of brilliant like baby's laying down up there
12:01man as long as it's a smooth flight i'm just trying to imagine some objects may move around
12:06you don't want to you only turbulence but there's blankets and pillows imagine if you sit in there
12:12you in row 25c yeah and you see this lady pick up her baby put a little blanket up there
12:20put the
12:21baby up there and i don't know i guess night night baby yeah she closed she clearly closed it yeah
12:26because the guy didn't know where the baby was but you don't want the baby to fall out you don't
12:30do
12:30anything radical goodness gracious yeah if i was a pat i would like whoa whoa whoa hold on hold on
12:36what you doing like you can't put no baby up there yeah you got to say something like this is
12:41not mind
12:41your business territory this is say something yeah can i is this your first time this is worst part
12:47about it baby was probably up there chilling that's what i'm saying probably like hey man we cool like
12:51man i can stretch out up here not again that could take off and landing and turbulence might be a
12:56little dicey but wait you said take off and landing as if the middle of the flight is not
12:59gonna do that as well i said turbulence okay hey i know definitely take off would have been rough
13:05so thank you baby would have been way back when they're flying in that overhead bitch
13:12well now i'm curious how it played out like i guess you know you gotta you gotta hold the baby
13:17ma'am
13:18oh i didn't know that this also feels way too close to child endangerment of course yeah even even
13:24though like hey we rectified this before the real issue hit i feel like it's the is the flight
13:28attendant you gotta be like all right so who do i tell about this yeah at that i know if
13:32i'm the
13:32flight attendant i'm like hold on we can't take off just yet we gotta get this lady checked i kind
13:37of unless there's before we get up in the air unless there's some other issue i kind of feel sorry
13:42for
13:42that passenger in a way too because they're clearly from the country or very you know whatever you know
13:49not very worldly in terms of flights yeah yeah so yeah but yeah still no excuse i will say the
13:57one
13:57thing i thought it was the most terrible thought of all the things that we could have thought within
14:01this i was like i bet it's acquired a flight that way it might be all right i'll get y
14:10'all out of here
