00:00Remember back in training camp when the prankster John Lopez got Reggie
00:04with the whole Hannah and Joanna switcheroo?
00:10Okay, first of all, I'm not a prankster.
00:11I just thought that was either a fish or a prankster or a prank correspondent on this show.
00:16I'm sorry.
00:17Let me ask a question.
00:18Everybody in this, by a show of hands,
00:20who on this program has used a rubber animal to prank a loved one of theirs?
00:27Anybody?
00:28Any hands?
00:28You mean a rat?
00:29Yeah.
00:30A rubber rat?
00:30Is that an animal?
00:31I ain't pointing no elbow.
00:34I like the record to show, Your Honor, that the hand of John Lopez was raised.
00:39Yeah.
00:40Yeah, you're a prankster.
00:41Not really.
00:42It was just funny.
00:43Yes, we do remember that.
00:44Yeah, so for those who don't know, Reggie couldn't really tell Hannah and Joanna apart.
00:53And to be fair, that is a common thing.
00:56Yeah, no, that's totally true.
00:57I was the same way, man.
00:58I was the same way early on.
01:00I didn't know who was who, and it would get confusing.
01:02Now it's not so confusing.
01:05But remember they actually told a story.
01:07I think y'all asked when was the last time they did something like that.
01:10Yeah.
01:11And they said, I can't remember which one it was.
01:13They switched roles.
01:14Yeah, they switched roles because a guy wanted to take one of them out on a date.
01:18Yeah.
01:18And one of them didn't want to do it, so they switched roles.
01:22Yeah.
01:22But apparently this happened, but it was kind of on a more serious note.
01:29Uh-oh.
01:29So here is a story about a woman who tried to get her twin sister to switch places with her
01:34after she crashed her car into an Amish buggy.
01:40Oh, my goodness.
01:41Oh, no.
01:41Yeah.
01:42So this is the story.
01:43This is what happened.
01:44Courtesy of Inside Edition.
01:46These identical twins are trying to pull a fast one.
01:50Samantha Peterson crashed into a horse-drawn buggy where the local Amish community shuns motor
01:56vehicles and modern technology.
01:58The accident left two children dead and injured two others.
02:03Are they injured or are they dead?
02:05Oh, yeah.
02:05There's one line in the road even.
02:08There's one over the business.
02:09Instead of owning up to what she had done, Samantha called her twins to the scene of the accident.
02:16What happened next is something you only see in the movies.
02:20Samantha asked her twin to switch places with her and falsely tell police that she was the
02:25one behind the wheel when the tragedy occurred.
02:28All right.
02:29So before we get to the second part, what do you think she, why do you think that the twin
02:35sister called the other sister to try to switch?
02:37I was going to say why, though, because ultimately one of y'all is still going to get in trouble.
02:40But I feel like this means the first one, because I don't remember her name, Samantha.
02:44Is that it?
02:45She got a record.
02:46Yeah.
02:47Like she has something on her record.
02:49That's a problem.
02:50And so she's like, well, we don't let the other one pick up this this one, because you
02:53got you got a you got a clean sheet on.
02:55Yeah.
02:55OK, so this is what really happened.
02:58This is the reason why she called the other twin.
03:00This is why the switch, because 37 year old Samantha Peterson was high on meth.
03:06Oh, they might have gotten away with it, except for this.
03:09The twins were placed in the backseat of a cop car and audio captured them cooking up
03:15the plot to deceive detectives.
03:17There's no way they would never know the difference between the two of us.
03:20Law enforcement had left the recording device on so that we were able to overhear them talking
03:26about how they were exchanging identities at the scene.
03:29One of them had changed clothes so they would have very similar clothes.
03:33Samantha also texted a co-worker right after the crash.
03:36I just killed two Amish people.
03:39They were kids.
03:40I made Sarah come there and take the fall for it so I wouldn't go to prison.
03:44And she Googled, if you hit a buggy and kill two people, what are you going to prison?
03:49Samantha has just pled guilty to criminal vehicle.
03:54Her homicide is so sentenced her to four years in prison.
03:57Her sister didn't get away with it either.
04:00She got three months for aiding and abetting.
04:03This is like, everything I should do wrong, let me do this right now.
04:09Clearly someone did not watch The Wire because one of the lessons that you can easily take away
04:12is don't take notes on a criminal conspiracy.
04:15And in a way, she took digital notes.
04:17How are you going to send a text?
04:18She was Googling.
04:19She was Googling.
04:20She was texting.
04:21She didn't even Google in a generic way.
04:23She Googled the exact situation.
04:25She texted somebody, I killed two Amish kids.
04:28Oh my God.
04:29But I'm going to make my sister, Sarah, or whatever her name is, take the fall for it.
04:34There you go.
04:35Oh, by the way, let me Google what would happen if I hit two Amish people.
04:40Will I go to jail or not?
04:42What does Chad G say?
04:43Oh yeah, by the way, while we in the back of this police car, let me tell you what we're
04:49going to do to try to get out of this.
04:51Yeah, and police cars are never, you know, they never have like recording devices or anything.
04:55Well, to be fair, she was high on meth.
04:56You know what I mean?
04:57Like that apparently she was not in her normal state.
05:00Goodness gracious.
05:00Yeah.
05:01That is the epitome of dumb.
05:02Yeah.
05:03That was a lot going on right there, man.
05:06I feel very strong that Hannah and Joanna never got themselves in such a situation.
05:12Yeah.
05:12Yeah.
05:12And you were complaining.
05:14About what?
05:14About the old switcheroo there.
05:16I wasn't complaining about the switcheroo.
05:18I was complaining about you.
05:22It's the Mixtape and the Loot Sports Radio 610.
05:25And you got Thanksgiving and all that stuff coming up soon.
05:28I can't wait.
05:29I think it's next week, if I'm not mistaken.
05:31Yes, it is.
05:34It's going to be mad.
05:35And just in case you might be thinking about going over to some family house, might want
05:40to take your wallet just in case they might be charging that door.
05:43What?
05:43So, I was listening to, ran across this clip from Mani and Lauren Morning Show.
05:51It's the Mani and Lauren Morning Show on a station called KISS 95.1 in Charlotte.
05:58Okay.
05:59And they had an interesting conversation just about cheap stuff random people do.
06:06Or just random stuff.
06:08And here is Steve talking about a story he ran across in an article.
06:16And somebody called in relating to this very thing.
06:20So, one of the ones that we read from the article said that my brother and his wife invited
06:24our family to their house for game night.
06:26And they received a text from the brother prior, like, on their way over saying that it
06:29would be 25 bucks per couple.
06:31I LOL'd it.
06:32And he said, no, I'm serious.
06:33So, like, if you're going to someone's house for an event, you can sometimes get charged.
06:38And you know about this firsthand?
06:40I do.
06:40Tell us.
06:41So, I have an aunt who charges for Thanksgiving dinner $10 a person.
06:48And she also puts out a tip jar.
06:51But when people offered to bring a potluck dish, she refused because she wanted to do
06:56the cooking herself.
06:57She wants to work for the tips.
06:59Yes, exactly.
07:00A tip jar.
07:01That is amazing, Jessica.
07:03Do you go to auntie's house every year?
07:06No.
07:06No?
07:07Okay.
07:07Like, okay.
07:08She also charges for the family reunions, too.
07:11But she insists on the charges.
07:15That's hard to swallow.
07:16Unless it's going to, like, charity or something.
07:18You know?
07:19Unless she's like, hey.
07:20What?
07:20And it's not.
07:21Okay.
07:21Yeah.
07:22I'm trying to make it.
07:22It goes to her vacation.
07:23Is it good, though?
07:24I mean, does auntie make a good Thanksgiving dinner?
07:26It goes to her vacation.
07:27I mean, it's all right.
07:29Okay.
07:29I have nothing to write home about.
07:31Man.
07:31Man, this is real tough because auntie in particular, she wilding.
07:36Tip jar is insane.
07:37Yeah.
07:38Tip jar is insane.
07:40However, I do think, and I say this while raising my own personal hand, we be letting
07:45the people that host carry way too much of the burden a lot of these times.
07:49Like, I feel like it should be all right for you to put in to help the person who hosts
07:53make this go.
07:55Now, when people offer to bring food, you should probably let them bring food.
08:00But see, that's the thing, though.
08:01Like, first of all, she's offering to do the cooking all the time.
08:05And then on top of that, you got the tip jar out there, and you're not letting anybody
08:11else bring anything.
08:12So that's not, it's not like, oh, let me bring something to kind of offset me paying you
08:18the $10 or giving you some money.
08:20Let me bring something else.
08:21And you're like, nah, I'm good, nah, I'm good, I'm doing the cooking.
08:24Hold on.
08:25The only place, the only place where I feel like auntie might have a point, who is supposed
08:31to be bringing this food instead of paying?
08:33Because, you know, not everybody in your family is allowed to cook.
08:35And not everybody in your family is allowed to cook everything.
08:38It might have been the person who's like, yeah, I'll make the mac and cheese.
08:40Don't you bring no mac and cheese in this house.
08:42Don't do it.
08:43What are we doing here, man?
08:43Yeah.
08:44This is not hard.
08:45What's not hard about it?
08:46This is not hard at all.
08:46You do not, you take on the burden of being the host.
08:49First, that means you're taking on a bigger burden.
08:54You don't ask anyone for anything.
09:02And when they offer, you accept it.
09:04And then over time, you start to build like, oh, so-and-so is really good at the mashed
09:10potatoes.
09:10And so-and-so is really good at the green bean casserole.
09:13And so-and-so.
09:13And on down the line.
09:14And that's how it works.
09:15This is not hard.
09:17She's a horrible person that shouldn't be doing that.
09:19I don't care about, you know, any burden that she has.
09:23Put in.
09:23That's the way that you do not put in.
09:25Put in.
09:25You might offer a dish.
09:27That's it.
09:28And don't bring your little friends around here to pick up places either.
09:30That is a bad person.
09:33I feel like she's doing too much with this.
09:35Too much.
09:35If this was like a friend's giving.
09:38That's different.
09:39Yeah.
09:40But nah, you being the auntie that's cooking for Thanksgiving.
09:44It's the family.
09:44You're out there with the chip jar, man.
09:46Not all families are kind to Karen.
09:48If y'all bring y'all asses over here and eat up all my food, put some down, man.
09:51You say that over time.
09:52You don't know if over time they've just been over here cheapskates eating off of her food.
09:57That's the burden you take on.
09:58If you're hosting, then say, you know what?
09:59I can't host anymore.
10:00Yeah.
10:01You know, money's getting tight.
10:02Somebody else does it.
10:03And then somebody else does it.
10:04It's easy to say, hey, I did it these couple years.
10:07I'm good.
10:08I'm good.
10:08I ain't got no money.
10:09Yeah.
10:10I'm cool.
10:10Rather than charging for Thanksgiving, what are we doing?
10:15All right.
10:16Don't come to my house for Thanksgiving.
10:17Mm-mm-mm.
10:20All right.
10:21I'll get y'all out of here on this.
10:22This is Mixtape and the Loot Sports Radio 610.
10:25So, Lopez, I called you the prankster of the show right here.
10:29You also are the official cook of Thanksgiving.
10:34Sport of everybody here.
10:36Right.
10:36At some point.
10:37I want to know if this is a Texas way to cook steak.
10:42Okay.
10:42So, this video been kind of going viral a little bit.
10:46And I guess I want to know if this is true or not or is somebody just trolling right here.
10:52Okay.
10:53The best way to cook a steak is to do it how they do in Texas.
10:56You simply take your steak and you drop it into a pot of boiling water.
10:59Go ahead and add some bread as a side dish.
11:01From here, you want to go ahead and season it however you want.
11:04I like to use a little bit of garlic salt.
11:06Just a touch of cream of tartar.
11:07This gives a nice visual effect for the water.
11:09And then I get some on the roll as well.
11:11Top it off with some ground up ginger.
11:13And then from here, I like to crack some fresh black pepper all around the bath and just a little bit on top of the roll.
11:19From here, you want to go ahead and remove the steak after it starts to brown but still has some pink to it.
11:23You want to transfer that to a hot oiled pan but be careful because water and oil don't mix.
11:28It will bubble and pop a bit so just be cautious.
11:31From here, throw in about one knob of butter.
11:33Go ahead and flip it over after it's been cooking on that side for just a few minutes.
11:37Remove it and let it begin to dry and then don't forget about your roll.
11:40You want to go ahead and take it out as well after it's been nice and cooked and set that to the side.
11:46You will see from here that after you do this and let your steak rest, you will have a steak cooked perfect medium well ready to enjoy.
11:53Medium well, that's perfect, that's crazy.
11:55Is this in prison or something?
11:56I don't think I've ever heard, like usually, you know, the sound of cooking makes your mouth water.
12:01I don't think I've ever heard the less appealing cooking sounds.
12:05He had a pot full of boiling water, dropped the steak in there, and then dropped the actual bread roll inside of the boiling and everything.
12:15This is rage baiting.
12:17Like I feel like there's a lot, especially cooking on the internet.
12:19I hate that he put Texas on this one, man.
12:21Yeah, that's, yeah, come on.
12:22Like who is, come on, man.
12:24He's rage baiting.
12:24He's rage baiting for engagement.
12:26And in this moment, he knows who are the people that would get the most upset about their names being on it.
12:30It's us.
12:31Texas.
12:31It's us.
12:32Texans.
12:32He said, this is how they do it down there in Texas.
12:34No, it's really not.
12:36At first when he said the boiling water, I'm like, is he trying to make like a homemade, what do they call them, sous vide?
12:41Sous vide.
12:41Yeah, sous vide or whatever it is.
12:43But no, you got to have it in a bag for that so it doesn't get water all over it and all that other stuff.
12:48Boy was dunking the steak.
12:49He was baptizing the steak.
12:51Yeah.
12:51I'm like, what in the world?
12:52It didn't look pleasing either, by the way.
12:54I got to see this video.
12:55Yeah, I send it to you.
12:57Don't send it to me.
12:58I don't want it.
12:58All right, I got to give a special salute to myself for surviving the weekend.
13:04God bless you.
13:04My sister was here in town Saturday.
13:07We did a little trill on wheels.
13:09I don't know if you ever heard of trill on wheels, but they got like this bike, this motorized group bike thing where you just go around Third Ward and you bring your own bottle.
13:19So I had a little bottle, a little something, something sipping, and we were just having a good time, man.
13:26How much sipping did you do?
13:27I did a lot.
13:29I did a lot that day.
13:31Ended up going home.
13:33We ended up hitting the prospect part just to get a little food.
13:36Okay.
13:37And then after that, we went to 50-15, I want to say.
13:40I think that's what it's called.
13:42Drank some more.
13:44Ended up drinking a little too much.
13:45Ended up having to throw up that when I got home.
13:48What?
13:48So, yeah.
13:50Yeah.
13:51I'm proud of you being able to admit that.
13:54I'm not secure enough to admit that.
13:56Yeah.
13:56And see, I'm kind of bored and I don't think my family believe me, but I felt like it was
14:01from some of the food I had earlier because my stomach was already, my stomach was bothering
14:07me a little bit.
14:08And then the alcohol didn't help.
14:10No, no.
14:10It never does.
14:11Well, glad you're here on a Monday.
14:12I didn't call off.
14:13Glad you're here on a Monday.
14:15All right.
14:15Somebody said, can you use the same water to boil your ribs and steaks?
14:18All right.
14:18Stop.
14:18Get off the text line.
14:20We're getting you out of the text line for that text alone.
