00:00Yes, it is the Mixtape in the Loop, Sports Radio 610.
00:03It's your man Figgy Fig holding it down on a Monday.
00:06Happy Monday to everyone out there.
00:09How was your weekend?
00:10Excellent.
00:11I was outside, had a good time, did a couple little projects.
00:14How about you, Reggie?
00:15Peaceful.
00:17What'd you do?
00:18Not much.
00:19I was around the house trying to get myself, get my life together, really.
00:23I think I cleaned some shoes that I was putting off.
00:26Cleaned some shoes, Figgy.
00:27It matters, though.
00:29Yeah.
00:29Man, if I got a home.
00:30Organized the floss.
00:32I mean, I didn't organize the floss.
00:33Come on, no.
00:35I loaded up the Q-tips.
00:36Yeah.
00:37By size.
00:38Nice and organized.
00:38By thickness.
00:39I went to the grocery store.
00:41Color-coordinated, man.
00:42I went to the grocery store, and I forgot that we had had conversations about this.
00:45I actually went into the grocery store.
00:47I did not.
00:48Oh, you went from inside to inside.
00:50Yeah.
00:50Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
00:51For those who don't know, he mentioned earlier, and it drove me nuts.
00:56You know, I spent all weekend, pretty much all weekend inside.
00:58I didn't really go outside.
00:59I wasn't really outside like that.
01:01And, of course, I mean that in the general colloquial, like the colloquial sense of outside, like
01:05outside going to places.
01:07Like, I went out to eat one time.
01:09Actually, it was Saturday.
01:10And as I was going to the spot to try is when the Evan Brown news.
01:15So, I'm sitting there eating food by myself on my phone looking at Evan Brown reps.
01:20So, that is, if you view that as sad, then I had a sad weekend.
01:23Otherwise, I kind of was peaceful.
01:25You know when we had that global pandemic back in 2020?
01:28Reggie didn't even really notice.
01:31Didn't even really notice.
01:33You say that.
01:34For a good long time of it, I was like, yeah, this is about right.
01:38Now, of course, I am not immune to socialization like we all are.
01:44Eventually, I got to a place where I was like, hey, man, I need people.
01:47It happened a lot slower than it did for other people.
01:50Okay.
01:50So, I probably ain't going to see Reggie in none of these videos I've been seeing for spring
01:54breaks.
01:55Absolutely not.
01:56Lopez, I know you was outside, but I don't know you was outside like that.
01:59I can tell you I was not.
02:01Yeah.
02:01So, you wasn't at the Sakai house, which a lot of people were lined up around the corner
02:07to go in.
02:08I kind of want to go to this place just to see the inside.
02:11I think they have a pool in there and all that type of stuff.
02:14So, people look like they were literally dressed for the beach standing in line.
02:19Wow.
02:19I saw somebody posted up at the pink house.
02:24The pink house.
02:25I have no idea.
02:26I never heard of it until I saw a video out there.
02:30I saw six girls in a drop-top Camaro.
02:33Oh, I saw you said that one.
02:35Yeah, all bunched in like sardines.
02:36That is hilarious.
02:37You see nothing but booty.
02:39Yeah.
02:39On the freeway.
02:40I did drive by a spot on Saturday afternoon.
02:43I was jumping on Richmond, and I had half a thought to be like, hey, let me pop in and
02:46see what's happening.
02:47But I didn't.
02:48Yeah.
02:48I saw a couple of girls making out in the car.
02:52Oh, really?
02:52God bless.
02:53Not together, but totally two different situations.
02:56Oh, gotcha.
02:56Inside the same car.
02:57Mm-hmm.
02:58Actually driving on the street.
03:00Wait, so they were driving and making out the same car?
03:02No, somebody else was driving the car.
03:04Or I guess on the street.
03:05Had two make-out sessions going on.
03:06Okay.
03:07Yep.
03:07So, I'm like, okay.
03:08And I'm using make-out lightly.
03:10Yeah.
03:11Okay.
03:11All right.
03:12It was very graphic.
03:14And speaking of graphic, I saw a lot of wild rodeo outfits that was causing the streets.
03:22I guess a lot of conversations.
03:24Mm-hmm.
03:25And I want to stay there because let's go to Isaiah Carey, who does a show called Isaiah
03:32Factor Uncensored.
03:33And they were talking about this very conversation about the ladies exposed it too much at the
03:41rodeo.
03:42And he had a little panel of women on there, too, just kind of discussing what they were
03:46seeing at the rodeo.
03:48Guys, what is it looking like out there at the rodeo?
03:51Monique, come on now.
03:52It is rough.
03:53I literally just went on Friday night.
03:55I had my four-year-old with me.
03:57And I'm not joking.
03:58I saw a woman with chaps on and just a thong.
04:01That's insane.
04:02With the air sign?
04:03Yes.
04:05Underarmance.
04:05Underarmance.
04:05Oh, underarmance.
04:06That's underarmance, yeah.
04:07Yeah.
04:07And I'm, like, trying to, like, steer my baby away from the teeth that are right at her
04:12eye level.
04:13It's educational at that point, right?
04:16Well, I mean, I was appalled.
04:18And also, you know, I'm on a committee and we do surveys.
04:21And so I'm talking this morning, asking about the surveys.
04:24And several people stopped me and said, this dress code needs to be reformed.
04:29I'm tired of looking at boobs and butts.
04:31So I want to go to the panel here on Sports Radio 610.
04:35Should it be a dress code at the Houston Live Stock Show and Rodeo?
04:40That's the conversation.
04:41Well, my short answer is no.
04:44But that's all.
04:45No question mark?
04:46No question mark.
04:47Because, you know, some people just don't understand what's simple.
04:51You can be racy.
04:53You can be sexy.
04:54You can be whatever.
04:55But there is a line.
04:57There is a line.
04:59And some people just don't know not to cross it.
05:02We all like to see, hey, people like to dress up.
05:06People like to people watch.
05:09Yes.
05:09It's one of the best things about Rodeo is people watching, in my opinion.
05:12But I think both of you guys would even agree with me.
05:14Like, there's got to be some where you go, come on.
05:17Like, come on.
05:18Yeah.
05:18I feel like once we get to, like, nightclub, well, not even nightclub, like, some of these
05:24go beyond just, like, standard nightclub attire.
05:27I'm like, all right, we're kind of in the wrong place for this.
05:30And I say this as somebody who very much appreciates people watching.
05:33It does kind of, it does get to a place where we're like, hey, man, we are taking away the
05:38ability for everybody to enjoy this in a weird way.
05:41Like, I would like myself to enjoy it, sure.
05:43But I also understand that Rodeo is a Houston institution and not just, like, a nightlife
05:48situation.
05:49Yeah.
05:49So I feel like we probably need to be better as a community, as a oneness to recognize that.
05:56And maybe just maybe reel it in a little bit.
05:59Just a little bit.
06:01Yeah.
06:01To me, like, I like when a woman can dress up and look good.
06:05Of course.
06:06Sometimes it don't look good.
06:08Like, sometimes it's just way too much going on where it's just like, all right, man.
06:13Like, you, you, you embarrassing us now.
06:15Like, take that monkey stuff off.
06:18And I just think you gotta, you gotta do it the right way, man.
06:22And it's been, at least on my feed, a lot of people are talking about this.
06:27Yeah.
06:27No, it's an actual conversation.
06:29People are really trying to enforce, trying to change everything.
06:33Not to mention, I didn't even bring up the fights and all that stuff was going on.
06:37That is actually the stuff that really was more frustrating to me.
06:40Because, obviously, matters of taste end up getting to a place where there's some levels
06:44of disagreement.
06:45I think we can all agree, you shouldn't be out here scrapping at the roadie to the point
06:48where they had to shut down the carnival.
06:50Yeah, no, it wasn't just like one person fighting another person.
06:53It was a whole group of people just fighting.
06:56And I think at that point, now you got that in the conversation of, how should we prevent
07:02this?
07:02You got the dress code.
07:04So, now, I think the conversation is, should it be a dress code?
07:07Should we start charging more people to come in?
07:10Should we ban certain people coming?
07:12Just all that stuff.
07:13Yeah.
07:14It sucks.
07:15Well, and some of that was this discussion about the carnival, right?
07:19Yes.
07:19Because people are just going to the carnival and causing a big stir and fighting and all
07:24that stuff.
07:25Yeah.
07:25I mean, the thing is, I don't think you, I really don't think you can put a dress code
07:32in.
07:33Other than you can't be nude, and they're damn near nude, you know?
07:37Yeah.
07:37And the thing, I think the other part that sucks about this is, if you did create some
07:42type of dress code, that's harder on the people that's working the rodeo now.
07:46Now you need probably more security, more officers right there just looking at, seeing what you're
07:52wearing.
07:53Yeah.
07:53And trying to turn people away and all that stuff.
07:55It's just a hassle, man.
07:56It'll never happen.
07:57Yeah.
07:57Lawsuits and...
07:58I wouldn't want...
07:59You don't want all that drama and stuff, man.
08:02No, I wouldn't want a dress code.
08:03I would just expect people to be a little bit more.
08:05Just try a little bit more.
08:06Yeah.
08:07Maybe we should start just shaming people.
08:10Come on now.
08:11What are you doing?
08:13Publicly?
08:13Yeah.
08:14Maybe somebody get on the microphone.
08:15Shame is a powerful tool in society.
08:16Look at this girl over here.
08:18Look at him.
08:19Look at him.
08:19Who dressed you today?
08:19Well, in some circumstances, that would be a service rather than shame.
08:24Because as a fair point, that some nice young ladies came from out of town, and that was
08:30their work attire.
08:31And I respect.
08:32I respect what you're going for.
08:36I'm going to stick with the whole Spring Breakers thing.
08:41Here's a girl on social media.
08:42I mentioned the club.
08:44I think it's called Pink House.
08:46Yeah, you mentioned that.
08:47Again, I have no idea what that is.
08:49That's right.
08:50Especially if your wife is listening.
08:52Yeah.
08:52She has no idea what any of this is.
08:54I wouldn't mind finding out what it is.
08:56Hey.
08:56Hey.
08:57Hey.
08:57Hey.
08:57She could come, too.
08:59Here's what she had to say.
09:01She did a video outside the Pink House.
09:03This is what she had to say.
09:04So they said they not letting nobody in, and they over here still trying to charge people
09:08$200 to $600 to get in here.
09:10Yo, look at her f***ing lying, y'all.
09:12Like, this s*** is f***ing crazy as f***ing Pink House, Houston.
09:16They over here acting like, they not even acting like they booby-trapping the river.
09:19They better have the baddest bitches in the f***ing world.
09:21The world.
09:22Not even in America.
09:23The world to be trying to charge $600.
09:26$600 to get in?
09:28Wait, as an entry?
09:31Is it a country club?
09:33So I just Googled Pink House, Houston.
09:37They open at 2 a.m.?
09:39Yeah.
09:41That's $600 anywhere is crazy.
09:43They're hours.
09:44Look at the hours.
09:45Monday.
09:45It better be a membership.
09:46Monday through Sunday.
09:48I better be able to go in any time I want.
09:51I should be coming through all month.
09:52And get anybody I want.
09:542 a.m. to 6 a.m. are their hours every day.
09:56So it's an after-hour spot.
09:58Obviously, but, man, what is going on here?
10:02And that line was wrapped around the corner, too, man.
10:06At 2 in the morning.
10:07Somebody said, in the loop, got to take a tour to Pink House now.
10:10Take a show out.
10:12Yeah.
10:13Content purposes only.
10:14Lopez, when was the last time you were awake at 2 a.m.?
10:19Probably some game or something that went long.
10:22But that's even pushing it.
10:23Yeah.
10:24Because I was like, maybe.
10:25Maybe 1 a.m.
10:25And then you know how you get keyed up.
10:27Okay.
10:27I was going to say.
10:27You just kind of watch TV.
10:29Can I tell you, last time I was up at 2 a.m., I was probably watching TV.
10:34You weren't out in these streets.
10:35No, I wasn't.
10:36At 2 a.m.
10:36No, there were a lot of people outside, just generally.
10:40The notion of Houston becoming spring break destination is so odd to me because you would
10:47not imagine that that would be the case, except I wonder how much just the cost of everything,
10:54assuming that it wasn't going to end up being $600 an entry.
10:58I wonder how much they made.
11:00I wonder, like, all these clubs and all this stuff, I'm really curious to know how much
11:04money they made just this weekend with spring break.
11:07I don't think it's as much.
11:08It could be a part of it.
11:09I don't think it's as much affordability in Houston, necessarily, is kind of what you were
11:13talking about.
11:14Yeah, I wonder.
11:14As much as it's just like club life.
11:16I mean, think about the Pink House and all that.
11:18Yeah, but there's a lot of other places that have a club life.
11:20There are, but there's clubs.
11:20Why did Houston become that?
11:21Because you can go to Pink House for $600 from 2 to 6 in the morning.
11:24It became that because of social media.
11:26I think rodeo is a spring break attraction, of course.
11:29I think that is.
11:30But that has been, to some degree, as people come in.
11:34This year feels particular in a way that I can't describe, and I don't know.
11:38Got a text right on cue.
11:40They done turned it into the Houston Hodeo.
11:45You know what?
11:47I have a solution.
11:48They done turned it into the Hodeo.
11:49Let's take one night, just like we have Tejano night, just like we have Black History.
11:56Magic City night.
11:57Yeah.
11:58Let's just have Hodeo night.
12:00Right?
12:02That's actually badass.
12:03That's a great idea.
12:04We create a liberal separation.
12:06Presented by a dream.
12:08Yes.
12:08Everybody knows why they're here for.
12:10Yes.
12:10If you got the babies, and you're like, I don't want to see the babies seeing cheeks bouncing
12:13around.
12:14Don't go Thursday.
12:15Right.
12:15Don't go Thursday.
12:16If you got kids.
12:17I think this could be an answer where we kind of find a little bit of a...
12:20I kind of think that's a brilliant idea.
12:21I think we might need to do this.
12:22The rest of the rodeo, you know, wear your jean skirt and your top and your boots and be
12:29nice and, you know, look nice, but not a hoe.
12:33And then...
12:36You emphasize it.
12:37I think that's what's happening.
12:38But then you have Hodeo night.
12:40That Thursday or whatever, Friday, all bets are off.
12:43Yep.
12:44Yeah.
12:44I like it.
12:45You know not to take your kids to the rodeo that day.
12:47Right.
12:48So that way you can be like, my kids was walking around here and seeing...
12:51Well, they shouldn't have been.
12:52Yep.
12:52It was Hodeo night.
12:53We might need a more delicate way of saying it, though.
12:55The Hodeo night.
12:56I don't know how much the Houston Livestocker show and rodeo would be like, this is the Hodeo
13:01night.
13:02Presented by Dreamwing.
13:03Yeah.
13:04Yeah.
13:04I don't know.
13:04I don't know if that's exactly...
13:05I'll be there, though.
13:07Yeah.
13:07It could be called Ho Heritage Night.
13:10It could.
13:11Yeah.
13:11That is technically correct.
13:13We'll have to brainstorm this a little bit.
13:15713-572-4610 if you've got a good name for it.
13:17Also, would you...
13:18Ho Heritage Night.
13:19Would you be out there eating a funnel cake?
13:22Yeah.
13:22With the hoes.
13:23Oh.
13:24Wow.
13:24Wow.
13:25The best little Hodeo in Texas.
13:28You just keep saying Hodeo.
13:30Does that help you?
13:32All right.
13:33I'll get y'all out of here on this.
13:34I'm going to stick with the hoes spring break thing.
13:37Here's a guy on social media.
13:39I'm guessing he was from California.
13:42But he came down for spring break and he was giving his thoughts on Houston.
13:47I never need to come back to Houston, Texas.
13:49I have been in Houston, Texas for 48 hours and I have had the most fun I've ever had in
13:53my life.
13:53We got off the plane, went to the gay club.
13:55Then we went to the straight club.
13:56Then we went to the strip club.
13:57Then we went to the rodeo.
13:58Then we went to a baseball game.
13:59And then we went to somebody else.
14:00I have got to go to bed.
14:03Y'all don't go home until 7 in the morning.
14:05Y'all don't go to work.
14:07Is your liver okay?
14:09Hmm?
14:10There's just a lot of thoughts that are coming to my head.
14:12Like this is not reality.
14:15I've had fried fish plates at the strip club.
14:20I've walked straight into bars that were closed down that opened up for us.
14:25I've had bacon with cotton candy.
14:28I've had a burger called Trill.
14:30That's right.
14:30What am I supposed to tell my back?
14:32There is something to do every night of the week.
14:37They have 50 cent wings.
14:40Two dollar shots.
14:41Top shelf.
14:43Am I being bamboozled living in Los Angeles?
14:45Yes.
14:45The answer is yes.
14:46You are.
14:47I would say no.
14:48Please don't move to Houston.
14:50Oh, okay.
14:50Stay in Los Angeles.
14:51Oh, you're being bamboozled, but you're just going to have to deal with that.
14:55This is why Houston is attractive.
14:57Yeah, I guess so.
14:58Somebody said that Galveston's been crazy with spring breakers for the last two to three weeks.
15:01I do wonder if, I do think that, because Galveston, that's part of the, you know,
15:05part of the appeal of the tourism.
15:07I do wonder if Texas is becoming more appealing because of the costs and the time, the economics
15:12right now.
15:12Yeah.
15:13But shout out to a number of texters that found it.
15:16They found the answer like that.
15:18It is the hoedown in H-Town.
15:21It's the hoedown.
15:21Yeah.
15:22Hoedown now.
15:22I like that.
15:23It fits in.
15:24Yeah.
15:24If you know, you know.
15:26You know, like, I feel like that's where we're at, right?
15:28I just need to get that voice guy for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo to read that.
15:32It's the hoedown.
15:33Oh, okay.
15:35Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
15:37I think we might have did something.
15:38I think this is good work, gentlemen.
15:40Yeah.
15:40Proud of us.
15:41All right.
15:41You're in the loop here on Sports Radio 610.
15:43120 p.m.
15:44Every weekday is when you get the mixtape at the Figgy Fig on social media if you see something
15:50that you believe to be mixtape worthy, including the hoedown in H-Town.
15:55In H-Town.
