00:00Hello, very good evening to you. Most of today's cloud has now cleared away, leaving largely
00:06clear skies overnight. Plenty of sunshine to come tomorrow. We have high pressure firmly
00:11in control, sitting just to the northeast of us. But worth bearing in mind, we do have
00:15some tightly packed isobars towards the south and southwest of the UK. And as a result,
00:20it is going to be quite blustery, quite windy at times here, despite the fact that there
00:24will be plenty of settled sunny weather otherwise.
00:27Like I mentioned, already we see most of today's cloud clearing and for most it is going to
00:32be a dry night, lots of clear skies. Watch out for a few showery bursts of rain, perhaps
00:37pushing around some southern coasts of Devon, more across into parts of Cornwall, particularly
00:42typical, more likely to see some rain through the night. But yes, a largely dry picture,
00:47lots of clear skies, just a bit of cloud developing here and there, mainly towards the northeast,
00:51maybe the odd bit of cloud across some parts of Scotland, England and Wales as well.
00:55Then with the clear skies, it is going to be a bit chillier than last night. We don't have
01:00that blanket of cloud that we had last night and so temperatures will drop, widely getting
01:05into low to mid single figures. Some places falling close to, if not a bit below freezing,
01:10so some frost in prone spots. Just those blustery winds that are strengthening through the night
01:15across some southern areas, they will stop temperatures here getting particularly low,
01:20so I'm not expecting a frost for many southern areas because of those strong blustery winds.
01:25And then tomorrow, well, yes, through Wednesday, it's a bright sunny picture. Any cloud that does
01:31develop overnight, that's quickly going to burn away. And apart from still just a few
01:35showery bursts of rain around the tip of Cornwall, it is going to be dry, almost wall-to-wall blue
01:40skies
01:41for the vast majority of us. And with that sunshine, it is going to feel pretty warm indeed. Temperatures
01:47a bit higher than today, widely mid to high teens, if not low 20s, the highest temperatures towards the
01:52south. But here we do have those strong blustery winds, so we could take around five, six degrees
01:56off those temperatures. It will feel a bit fresher as a result. Also, speaking of feeling a bit fresher,
02:02still towards those North Sea coastal parts with the wind coming in, it is going to feel a little bit
02:07cooler here. But still, if you're in the shelter from the wind, if you get that decent sunshine,
02:12it is going to feel pretty warm indeed. Watch out for some high UV levels, especially across
02:16England and Wales. More fine weather to come as we go through the evening on Wednesday. Just a
02:21swathe of cloud coming up from the south, perhaps a bit more rain, more persistent rain affecting
02:26parts of Cornwall, maybe Devon as well as we go overnight. Most places, though, having, again,
02:31a largely dry night, just a little bit more cloud perhaps, particularly towards the southwest,
02:35than we will see through this coming night. But once more, where we have those clear skies,
02:40temperatures dropping low enough for a touch of frost in some prone spots, particularly across
02:43some parts of Scotland and maybe northeast England. Again, similar to this coming night,
02:48the strong winds towards the south and the southwest, and also with the cloud and the rain here,
02:52temperatures staying that little bit higher, so some places remaining in double digits. And then
02:58through Thursday itself, well, a bit of a cloudy start. Could be a bit wet across some parts of the
03:03southwest. And then that wet weather does push its way northwards across the Republic of Ireland,
03:08perhaps feeding towards Northern Ireland as we head into the afternoon. But otherwise,
03:12it's again a largely dry, sunny day. Plenty of sunshine on offer once more. And with that,
03:18temperatures, if anything, a little bit higher than on Wednesday, more widely getting into the high
03:22teens or low 20s, 23, possibly even 24. So feeling pretty warm in that sunshine. And once more,
03:28do watch out for those high UV levels, which will be quite widespread, especially across England and
03:34Wales. The high pressure that is dominating our weather through this week does shift away towards
03:38the east as we go towards the long bank holiday weekend, which means, yeah, things are set to turn
03:44a little bit more changeable. We're going to have a bit more rain around, not a total washout,
03:49don't lose all hope. There will be some dry fine and at times warm weather as well,
03:52but we'll be keeping you up to date with the forecast as we head towards the bank holiday. Bye-bye.
