00:00Morning. A different feel out there for many today. Still very warm in the sunshine across
00:05the southeast but not as hot. Much more cloud around for parts of the Midlands and Wales
00:10all thanks to this cold front and that is introducing cooler conditions for most of
00:16us as well. The odd little bit of light rain and drizzle on that weather front as well as
00:19it slips further south. Plenty of showers already packing into western Scotland. You
00:23can see a little circulation there, low pressure, bringing some slow moving downpours across
00:28northern Scotland so actually quite wet here. A few showers moving through the central belt and
00:32across the north of Northern Ireland. Showers few and far between elsewhere but it will be a
00:37cloudy day over the Midlands by the afternoon turning sunnier here but that cloud spilling
00:41into East Anglia and the southeast so a different day here. Temperatures more likely to be in the
00:47mid-20s but perhaps still up to 27, 28 in and around the London area. Further north we're talking low
00:54twenties or high teens across Scotland. Feeling quite fresh I suspect on that west coast of
00:58Scotland or in the far north with those heavier downpours which will continue into the evening
01:03here as this cold front continues to trickle southwards. The rain being wrung out of it but
01:09still a little bit of light rain and drizzle to come across the home counties and East Anglia
01:14through this evening. Nothing particularly useful for the gardeners however and that tends to pull away
01:18as we go through the early hours of tonight. The showers continue to feed into western Scotland.
01:24One or two coming in perhaps to north Wales, northwest England but most places dry. Most places
01:29having long clear spells and light winds and with that cold front going through cooler air in place. So
01:35actually temperatures dropping away quite sharply. Much fresher to start Friday down across rural parts of
01:43Scotland, northern England will be well down into single digits. So quite a cool start to Friday.
01:48By and large a fine day. Certainly across the south plenty of sunshine. Might start a bit grey across the
01:54far southeast. There'll be some showers drifting through again for northwest England. Showers certainly coming
01:59and going through the day in western Scotland and for Northern Ireland. So a mix of sunshine and showers
02:04here and a fairly brisk breeze. The showers seem to fade over northwest England and much of England and Wales
02:11just dry. Fine with plenty of sunny spells and light winds. There'll be some sea breezes picking up as
02:17well. Temperatures inland much closer to the average across the south for Friday for the middle of July
02:24average for example there getting into the mid-20s. But further north actually slightly below average
02:30only into the mid or high teens and certainly feeling cooler when the showers come along. As for the
