Molestation Accused Thrashed with Slippers in Mirzapur After Alleged Threats, Video Goes Viral

A dramatic incident was reported from Tulsi Chowk under Katra police station limits in Mirzapur, where a woman allegedly thrashed a man with slippers after he threatened her over a molestation complaint.

According to police, the accused, Ishu Ojha, a resident of Harna Gali, had been booked around 15 days ago following an FIR filed by the woman for molestation. On Saturday afternoon, he allegedly confronted the victim near Tulsi Chowk and began threatening her.

In response, the woman took off her slippers and publicly assaulted the accused, repeatedly hitting him as bystanders gathered and recorded the incident. The video of the घटना has since gone viral on social media.

Police were informed and reached the spot. Katra police station in-charge Vaidyanath Singh confirmed that a fresh FIR has been registered against the accused for issuing threats, in addition to the earlier molestation case.

Further investigation is underway.
