01:00Race 2, EMX 250, up next, 25 minutes plus two laps.
01:03We're live on MXGP TV as always with me, Paul Malin, Lisa Leyland and the rest of the crew.
01:09Of course, there is the aerial view of the racetrack.
01:14And the sun is out and it's going to be staying out here today as well.
01:19We had a great atmosphere in the stands yesterday because your winner in race one, Francesco Garcia, local lad, came
01:27away with the win.
01:28Took the lead on lap two, held it till the chequered flag at the end of lap 15.
01:33His Van Ambud racing Kawasaki teammate, Jack Cannon, crossed the line second.
01:37Billy Askew was third on his dirt store triumph.
01:40And then Mads Fredso, Jacobs Kubelins rounded out the top five.
01:43From Alexei Fueri-Gjandunsen, Francesco Belay, Mano Four and Tom Brunet.
01:49Right of the race though was Nikolaj Skodbjerg of Denmark on the Husqvarna.
01:53He was down and out at the end of the first lap, down in 39th place.
01:58And he came through and he was a long way down as well because he stayed there for the first
02:02three laps.
02:02And then all of a sudden he put on a charge back to 13th, which if he gets a good
02:07start, the ginger ninja, he will be on it.
02:11And I'm sure he'll be challenging.
02:14Here's how the riders line up.
02:16Francesco Garcia was fastest in group B.
02:18Mads Fredso, fastest in group A.
02:20Billy Askew, second in group B.
02:22Nikos Skodbjerg, fastest, second fastest and so on and so forth.
02:25Gjandunsen, Joe Brooks, Jacobs Kubelins, Liam Owens.
02:30Jack Cannon, Dean Gregoire, Nico Alvizzi, Simone Mancini, August Frist, Lionel Reichel, Francesco Belay, Mano Four.
02:38Leon Rudolf, Filippo Mantovani, Adrian Monner, Sebastian Leop, Tom Brunet, Ryan Tulsmer, Max Ernaker, Aaron Katona and the rest.
02:48Forty riders lining up.
02:52Today.
02:54There is your winner from race one, Francesco Garcia.
02:58Can he come away at least with the top step of the podium at home?
03:05Won three rounds last year.
03:08Won both races at the final round in Turkey.
03:11Comes in to 2026 with the win.
03:13So three race wins on the bounce.
03:14Jake Cannon, his Manon Bud racing, Kawasaki teammate.
03:18A visitor to the podium round nine last year at Matsui Basin where he was third overall.
03:22He's putting himself in a good position for another podium here at the opening round.
03:26Billy Askew, dirt store triumph.
03:29Likewise for him.
03:31Got a third.
03:32Equalling his best result from Trentino last year in a race.
03:36Can he put two races together and come away with a podium?
03:40What about Mats Dredso?
03:41He was fourth in race one.
03:44The Dane here riding 5.15 on the Katmoto Bauer Schmidt KTM.
03:51And Jakob Skubelins, JK Yamaha, two-struck rider here this weekend.
03:59Decent race for him.
04:01Fifth in race one.
04:02Pretty much started just inside the top ten.
04:05And that was it.
04:07Liam Owens started around about seventh.
04:10Dropped down to eighth or ninth.
04:12Picked himself back up and then ended up down in twelfth place.
04:15So just started to fall off the radar the second half of the race.
04:192.75 making his way to the line there.
04:22Eric Racco of Germany.
04:24We're everybody in place.
04:27We'll get a green flag at the back here.
04:29Green flag down the front.
04:30The fly racing 15-second board will go up.
04:32And we're getting ready to go racing again.
04:3425 minutes plus two.
04:35EMX 2.50 race two here.
04:38In Almonte.
04:46Garcia, gate, number one, over on our right.
04:50His left, Askew alongside him.
04:53Then Skobjerg, then Frenso on the 5.15.
04:55Five-second board has turned.
05:00Not the best reaction for the Kawasaki rider,
05:02but he somehow eclipses Askew.
05:05Askew's fluffed his lines.
05:06He's right at the back.
05:07He's maybe going to try and hold a tight line through the inside.
05:10He does just about do that.
05:14But it's Kubelitz who leads.
05:21As we swing through turn three,
05:23the two-stroke JK Yamaha leads the way.
05:27Green Gregoire there in second on the 28.
05:29Third is Mano 4.
05:30He pretty much grabbed the whole shot yesterday in race one.
05:33Fourth place is Jano Berbunt.
05:35A better start for the rider in red.
05:36Then Mansovani just sweeping through.
05:39And then it looked like Tibercio, the Brazilian,
05:42alongside him.
05:44Oh, I'll tell you what.
05:46Alexi Fueri just getting punted there, the 7.17.
05:56Askew down in 27th place.
05:59But Gregoire coming towards us in second.
06:01There's Mano 4 in third.
06:02He fell on this part of the racetrack yesterday and a couple of laps later in the next turn on
06:08the exit.
06:10Garcia in ninth, just behind his team-mate.
06:13So the two Venom Bug racing, Kawasaki's line astern at the moment, or they were.
06:17Eighth and ninth, Fueri 10, Dukes and Brooks, Mancini, Rudolf, Frisk, Skogberg, another bad start, but better than 39 from
06:25race one.
06:30We're working our way towards the end of this unofficial opening lap.
06:35Kubelins leads the way.
06:36Mano 4 second.
06:37Gregoire third on the 28th.
06:38Fourth is still the elbows out, up on the pegs.
06:41Big Belgian.
06:43Jana Berbunt.
06:45Behind him.
06:48It's the 1.37 of Bernardo to Burcio.
06:55Stays lower than the Belgian, and he's going to run up the inside.
07:00Make a move.
07:01Make the pass.
07:06That was for fourth place.
07:09Listen to the roar of the crowd here.
07:11You know where Garcia is.
07:16To Burcio had an issue yesterday that left him out of the points, but he was running up there somewhere
07:24in the points before he made that mistake over on the liquid molly jump.
07:27Bike was facing sideways, where he shouldn't have been.
07:33Started in and around.
07:34Well, he got himself up to sixth place mid-race.
07:37Even higher.
07:38Fifth race with a couple of laps to go.
07:39So, to Burcio, fetches his chances this time around.
07:43The two Kawasaki teammates here.
07:45Three and 29.
07:46Jake Cannon of Australia.
07:48And the Spaniard.
07:49Your winner from race one.
07:51Knows there's still plenty of time here.
07:54Had the pace yesterday.
07:56But as it stands right now, he's seven seconds off the lead of Jacobs Kubelins.
08:02Oh, the two Kawasaki's side-by-side there as they hit that offset.
08:06Goes around the outside.
08:08Cannon's not going to fight him there.
08:09Goes after Fred Sung.
08:17Garcia, now seven.
08:18Might be six by the time we get out of this left-hander.
08:21If you get the power down, he doesn't.
08:23Nor two.
08:24Fred Sung.
08:25Both riders messing up in quick succession.
08:28Coming out of that turn.
08:31Fred Sung can't leave the door open here, and he doesn't.
08:33He goes defensive.
08:34Forces Garcia to the outside on the 29.
08:37In the red and yellow.
08:40Askew, already up in the 17th, has pretty much made 10 positions on this opening lap.
08:49First official lap complete, though.
08:51Mano 4 was quickest.
08:52Not by a lot.
08:551.2 seconds behind Jacobs Kubelins.
08:57They're already heading down the next straight towards turn 3.
09:00Top of your screen.
09:03And the roar of the crowd once more.
09:06That's Francisco Garcia.
09:08Gets closer to Mats Rezao in that battle 4-6.
09:12Just ahead of him.
09:13Bernardo Tabursia.
09:15And Bervos.
09:16And Garcia goes through.
09:18Finds his way past the day.
09:23All of a sudden, Garcia now up in the sixth place.
09:39He's biding his time.
09:41Boyd by the 12th man.
09:43The crowd all around this racetrack.
09:45Going after Jana Bervos now, who was dancing around on that back wheel.
09:49The 5-0-3.
09:52The 5-0-3.
09:58VHR Yamaha rider under attack once more through here.
10:11Garcia may get out of this turn early, or he may go the long way around.
10:14Let's see.
10:15Decides for the latter.
10:16Knows he's got good pace down this straight here.
10:19Can he launch the triple?
10:20No, he decides not to.
10:24Bervos looks across.
10:25Realizes he's helpless.
10:27Oh, how did Garcia stay up there?
10:31He went about 20 feet over five holes on the front wheel.
10:35Almost ejected himself out the front door.
10:41Big moment.
10:42Big save for Garcia.
10:46Who now finds himself in fifth.
10:50Frenzo going with him.
10:51As he finds his way past the Belgian.
10:54Bervos.
11:00Fantastic atmosphere here for EMX 250.
11:06Kubel into Mano 4.
11:07Separated by a noddle on the 250 two-stroke Yamaha.
11:10And the 250F four-stroke machine.
11:16The JK Yamaha.
11:20Leading the way still.
11:23From the VHR Yamaha official team of Mano 4.
11:29Who led on the opening lap.
11:31Garcia came by.
11:33The Frenchman Mano 4.
11:35Stayed there for a couple of laps.
11:36Then down the third as Askew came through.
11:38Then he had that first of two crashes.
11:40That eventually dumped him down to 15.
11:42Got a bit of a gift in this corner here.
11:44When three riders fell.
11:48Reichel and Belay were two of those riders.
11:51Owens might have been the other one.
11:55Eventually Mano 4.
11:56Came home in ninth place.
11:57But he's gunning for the lead.
12:00Probably learnt a lot in that first race.
12:02Maybe don't go hard too early.
12:09And here he is alongside.
12:11The Latvian.
12:19Four was quickest last time around.
12:22Once again.
12:23Two laps in succession.
12:29But pretty much even lap times for these two.
12:32This time around.
12:33They've got about five and a half seconds.
12:344.6 now.
12:35As Bernardo, Tabercio and Garcia go by Dean Gregoire.
12:40That's them in the background.
12:41Third and fourth.
12:42Mano 4 trying to lean on the Latvian.
12:45As he fights for the lead.
12:48Can he make the move here?
12:51He's going to have to go double if he can.
12:52But Kubelins closes him off in turn four.
13:10Four trying everything he can.
13:14That gap is going to be coming down though if they're not careful.
13:17These two.
13:18Because Garcia pushing the Brazilian Tabercio.
13:22Gregoire.
13:23He's losing ground.
13:24Fredso and Berwitz.
13:26Fredso has found his way past Berwitz obviously.
13:28That's for six.
13:29Berwitz seven.
13:30Cannon eight.
13:30Dunson and Joe Brooks running out the top ten.
13:38Askew down again.
13:40Right the way down in 40th position.
13:42So a bad start.
13:43Putting himself in a compromising position.
13:46Came around 25th.
13:47Got himself up to 17th.
13:48He's now down in 40th place.
13:50Oh, and he's been off.
13:52Clutch lever pointing north.
13:54Heartbreak for Askew.
14:02Mano four.
14:03This time finds his way past Jacobs Kubelins.
14:06He leads on lap four.
14:15Just pops the triple.
14:18See the difference.
14:19A couple of bike lengths.
14:20Gets good drive then on the exit.
14:22On the landing.
14:24And that was all he needed.
14:25And it's already 1.3 seconds clear.
14:27Of Kubelins.
14:35Bernardo to Bercio.
14:411.37.
14:42With the Spaniard behind him.
14:45Francisco Garcia carrying a lot of speed.
14:49Is he going to double in here?
14:50Well, he just jumps long.
14:52And he's going to find his way up the inside.
14:53To Bercio had to yield in the end.
14:56The roar of the crowd.
14:58Every step of the way with Garcia.
15:00Who now moves third.
15:12He's going to be on the top step of the podium as it stands right now.
15:15Can he do it with a 1.1?
15:17Will it be a 1.3 or a 1.2?
15:19Looks across to see where Kubelins is.
15:21And that's a 3.7 second gap to the JK Yamaha rider in second.
15:28But this is a very measured performance from Garcia at the moment.
15:32He's big.
15:32He's strong.
15:37He's strong.
15:38Right.
15:38This is the story of Garcia's race so far.
15:43Found his way past his teammate Jake Cannon.
15:46And then went after the guy in the pink ahead of him.
15:49Matt Sprenso.
15:53Found his way past the day.
15:55Likes this part of the racetrack.
15:57Inside or outside.
15:57Seems to work for him.
16:00This move on Jana Bervutz almost went wrong when he came in to land here.
16:06That was for fifth.
16:10And then Gregoire who ran wide.
16:14Through turn 11.
16:18And then this move on Tibercio a moment ago to move into third place.
16:23Been a busy race for the Spanien.
16:27They'll be getting some exercise.
16:30Up there in the stands.
16:31Up and down on the squats.
16:34He's got the gap down to two and a half seconds.
16:36Now.
16:37Easy Tiger.
16:40Dancing around on that back end.
16:43He probably didn't feel it.
16:45But the fans would have seen it.
16:47They would have had a twitch as well.
16:52Is this going to be a magical day for him?
16:54Watch here.
16:55These square edges every now and again.
16:58Just bite back.
17:04This is for second.
17:06Jakob Skubalins.
17:08And the 29.
17:10Francesco Garcia.
17:12Looks across to see where the leader is.
17:14That gap.
17:146.4 seconds.
17:16Mano 4.
17:18Reeled him in.
17:19Yesterday.
17:21He'll probably be thinking.
17:22Well.
17:23If I get to second.
17:24There's no reason why I can't challenge.
17:26With clear track ahead of me.
17:29He's got to be patient.
17:30At the same time.
17:31Still has 12 and a half minutes.
17:33Plus two laps to go.
17:34Looking to make the move here.
17:37Spooks.
17:37Skubalins.
17:38Who holds firm though.
17:39In the line.
17:46Great atmosphere here.
17:51Fans have absolutely packed this place out solid.
17:56Big screen on the infield.
17:58Goes around the outside of the Latvia.
18:00Moves in the second.
18:00At the end of lap six.
18:07Right.
18:08See what the gap is.
18:10Between Mano 4.
18:12And Francesco Garcia.
18:14Just over six seconds.
18:16And even though he was sat behind the Latvian.
18:18He was a tenth of a lap.
18:20Second.
18:21Slower than the race leader.
18:23Bernardo Tibercio.
18:25Is lurking in the background in fourth as well.
18:27Getting ready to take a position away.
18:29From Kubalins if he can.
18:34And he is getting closer to the rider in blue.
18:43We may see a change for third before the end of the lap.
18:46Meanwhile.
18:49The gap.
18:506.3 seconds between first and second.
18:53Mano 4.
18:53Was a little bit more efficient in sector one.
18:56By about three tenths.
19:05Again just takes a quick look up.
19:07Got the gap back to 6.1.
19:11Not an easy racetrack though is it?
19:13Very physical.
19:18It's the difference between first and second right there.
19:22We'll get another split.
19:24Out of the next left-hander.
19:26In front of the big grandstand.
19:29100 metres from now.
19:33Four went through in a 32.6.
19:35Garcia goes through in a 31.2.
19:38The gap down to 4.7.
19:40All of a sudden this race coming alive for Francesco Garcia.
19:47Doesn't look like he's pushing hard, does it?
19:49But he is.
19:50He's absolutely wringing every ounce out of that 250.
19:54Kawasaki doubles his way into the penultimate corner.
19:57Urged on by the fans here.
20:02Mano 4.
20:021.53.
20:035.
20:03Garcia 1.52.
20:052.
20:054.7.
20:06The gap now.
20:08As we reach the halfway stage pretty much.
20:1215 lap race yesterday.
20:14We've had seven laps now.
20:16That'll take us to 14.
20:18But the circuit conditions.
20:20A little rougher than they were yesterday.
20:24Fastest lap in race one.
20:25Was by Garcia.
20:271.49.
20:282.33.
20:29Mano 4.
20:30A 1.51.
20:320.57 is the fastest so far.
20:35So a couple of seconds.
20:37A lap.
20:38And we're already dropping below that.
20:40So it could be a 14 lap this time around.
20:48Mano 4.
20:49Doing a good job keeping that gap stable though.
20:53As he becomes more accustomed to that.
20:55Why is it 250F in race trim?
21:021.25 rider last year.
21:03Of course second in the championship.
21:05Six overall wins and a second.
21:08Garcia.
21:09Looks like he's getting that gap down ever so slightly.
21:12Although the last split was still 4.5 seconds.
21:19VHR official rider.
21:21Looking at second overall this weekend in the round.
21:24Garcia looking at the top step.
21:26Kubelins on the podium.
21:27On 34 points if he stays where he is.
21:30Then we've got Mats Fredso and Jake Cannon tied.
21:32On 32.
21:33Fourth and fifth respectively.
21:36Cannon in 11th place.
21:38One second behind August Frisk.
21:44So Garcia.
21:46He will know.
21:48Mano 4 didn't have the best race yesterday.
21:51He'll also know that second will be good enough to take the overall.
21:54Is he in that frame of mind yet?
21:574.3.
21:58Still trying.
22:00Breathe.
22:02Garcia.
22:02Four seconds.
22:03That's the message for Mano 4.
22:15Coming out of turn 2 towards that turn 3 in the background.
22:18The right hand side down the straight is certainly the smoothest option.
22:20But you've got to get out of there.
22:22It's a slower exit speed.
22:24Faster down the straight speed.
22:26But then slower through the turn.
22:30Mano 4 looking good here though.
22:32Looking in control.
22:33Well, definitely making the Spaniard work for those extra three points.
22:56Not an easy set of waves for the riders to deal with.
23:01Gap still hovering around 4 seconds at the moment.
23:04Between 1st and 2nd.
23:06Tibercio is 3rd.
23:07Kublin is 4th.
23:08Gregoire 5th.
23:15Niko Skodberg 6th.
23:17Mads Fredso 7th.
23:18Gion Doonsson.
23:18Janne Bervoson.
23:19August Frist.
23:20Then we've got Jake Cannon in 11th.
23:21Rowan Tulsmer is 12th.
23:24Alexei Fueri.
23:24Tom Brené.
23:26Adria Mon.
23:27Max Erneke.
23:28Lionel Reichel.
23:29Simone Mancini.
23:30Sebastian Leok.
23:33And the 300.
23:38Of Perez.
23:43Right, Jake Cannon.
23:47Battling here with August Frisk.
23:50This will only be one point gain.
23:52That'll get him one step closer to the podium.
23:57Still 6 minutes plus 2 to go.
24:032nd of the Venom Bud Racing.
24:05Kawasaki riders looking to go around.
24:06The double race winner from Switzerland last year.
24:09Agnes Frisk.
24:09Who then went out with a knee injury.
24:11Missed the rest of the season.
24:17Still working with former World No. 2, World No. 3.
24:24Stephen Frosart.
24:28Frisk, though, takes a nervous look over the shoulder.
24:31Goes middle of the row.
24:33Cannon tries to nip down the inside.
24:35He will utilise this smooth circuit down here.
24:39To make that pass.
24:41And he does.
24:42On the back wheel.
24:43Goes past the Swede.
24:45And Cannon up into 9th.
25:02Gap to the next rider ahead of him.
25:04Gion Doonsson about 2.4 seconds.
25:07No slouch in the sand.
25:09Doonsson last time around.
25:101.55.9.
25:11Cannon 1.55.2.
25:13So he has pace on the young Dutchman.
25:18Can he capitalise on that with a clear track ahead of him?
25:22Closing in now.
25:23Mano 4.
25:26And Garcia.
25:28Garcia all over the back of the Frenchman.
25:354.3.
25:36It was a lap ago.
25:37All of a sudden we're down to a second.
25:400.6 of a second.
25:43The crowd were already on their feet.
25:45They've come.
25:46They've burst back into life now.
25:54Rails the outside.
25:56He's off the track.
25:58Gets back on.
25:59He's a little bit over-exuberant.
26:02Advantage once again.
26:03Mano 4.
26:04This is what we say when you keep your emotions in check.
26:08Just ran out of berm there.
26:09Didn't cut right.
26:10It just went straight on.
26:12Probably from another rider's mistake.
26:15Not reading the track at that moment.
26:19Got in there.
26:20Went full send.
26:21And then before he realised, he was already out of line.
26:25Off track.
26:26And the gap back out of 2.4.
26:31El Toro here.
26:32He's definitely putting it all on the line, isn't he?
26:43He's good through those waves.
26:46He's bigger, heavier, taller frame.
26:50Wouldn't look out of place on a 450, would he?
26:59Get in the gap back down.
27:022.2.
27:03Get another split here.
27:051.1.
27:06Fastest in sector 2 and 3 for the race, for the Spaniard.
27:12Mano 4 put his best time in sector 2.
27:152.10 slower.
27:17He's had to up his intensity.
27:20Just over 2.5 minutes plus 2 laps to go.
27:23Been a very classy ride.
27:25This from Mano 4.
27:27But he's got his hands tied and his hands full.
27:34The pressure building once again.
27:37From behind.
27:38From that man there.
27:39The 29!
27:41And the mistake comes.
27:42The fans on their feet.
27:44It's like Spain have scored the winning goal in the World Cup.
27:48The noise absolutely electric.
27:51As Garcia takes over the lead.
28:01Mano 4 coming back though.
28:08Believes he can still win this race.
28:10Does the French rider.
28:12Dancing around.
28:14Over the rough terrain here.
28:21The noise around this circuit.
28:25Oh!
28:26Doonson down.
28:27That's going to be a gift.
28:28For Cannon and Fredso.
28:31Doonson down to 15.
28:47Mano 4 not giving up.
28:50Francisco Garcia knows how hard it has been to find his way onto the rear wheel of the French rider.
28:57And make that pass.
28:59And make that pass.
28:59Knows he can't afford to switch off either.
29:02But he's put some distance in the last couple of corners.
29:06It's not 1.2 anymore as it was at the top of the hill.
29:14Three laps to go.
29:17Gets distance there, doesn't he?
29:19He makes that double into the penultimate corner.
29:22Mano 4 not able to.
29:23A 1.2 second advantage.
29:25All of a sudden, what?
29:26Two or three seconds?
29:29Actually, been a good couple of corners there for four.
29:32It's only 1.3.
29:34Long look at the pit board.
29:38Francisco Garcia got a double race win last year at Matzili Basin and again at the final round in Turkey.
29:44So rounds 9 and 13.
29:46Can he do it again here this weekend?
29:56Garcia looks over his shoulder again.
29:59As it stands right now, Francesco Garcia and Jake Cannon are 1 and 2 overall in the standings.
30:05And here's why.
30:08Cannon found his way past Guiondunson before he fell, actually.
30:14And then this was the moment we saw the change for the lead.
30:18Garcia on Mano 4.
30:25And Jake Cannon has a two-point advantage over Mano 4.
30:30In the overall classification, Ford needs to find his way back in front.
30:37Just over two laps to go.
30:43There's your podium as it stands right now, look.
30:47Perfect day so far, perfect weekend for the man in red and yellow.
30:54Francisco Garcia.
31:05Mano 4, not letting him off the hook, though.
31:07That gap's still around two seconds.
31:08Mano 4, not doubling there.
31:11Look, into that right turn.
31:13Two-lap board goes out.
31:14This time around for the Venom Bud race in Kawasaki.
31:31Back marker does his best to get out of the way here as Garcia comes charging through.
31:36But we've seen how tricky this racetrack is.
31:39He needs to maintain focus and composure.
31:442.3.
31:44The gap was above the go.
31:46As we come out of turn four, does it grow?
31:48Yes, it does.
31:48It goes to 2.7 seconds now.
31:52Bernardo Tiversio is another 16, nearly 17 seconds further back in third.
31:58What's been a great performance in this second race by the Brazilian.
32:01Skogberg another nearly 14 seconds back.
32:03And then we've got Kubelitz.
32:05Cannon is up to six, strengthening his position on the second step of the podium as he goes
32:10past Gregoire.
32:20So even more breathing room then for Jake Cannon.
32:24This is going to be the absolute dream start for Venom Bud Racing, isn't it?
32:28One and two in the race yesterday.
32:29Stays like this.
32:30They're going to be one and two on the podium.
32:32But if it stays like this, testing the limits of the circuit once again.
32:38Francesco Garcia over that crest, almost off the side of the track once more.
32:44Doesn't need to push this hard with just over a lap to go.
32:48But he only knows one way.
32:49That's on.
32:51And he's definitely on fire here this weekend.
32:58He needs a pit board now to say the gap is going to be around about five seconds.
33:03Not so that he can relax, but just so he doesn't rush.
33:06Yeah, there's the look over the shoulder.
33:08Into the final lap for Francesco Garcia.
33:13Who is eyeing up his third career double race victory in the MX 250.
33:19But this one here on home soil in Spain will be the sweetest of them all.
33:28If he can keep it on two wheels, of course.
33:31The gap nearly six seconds to Mano 4.
33:33The Spaniard has broken the Frenchman.
33:36Who just wants to bring it home and on the podium as well for Yamaha.
33:44Starting to look around a little bit more.
33:46He wants to be sure that that gap is where it's at.
33:48Six seconds now.
33:51He knows this is now his race to lose.
33:58Keeping an eye on the situation.
34:01Maybe he doesn't believe it's real.
34:07And Kubelins has been passed by Cannon.
34:09Cannon now up in the fifth.
34:11Good late charge from the Australian.
34:21Cannon going to be 12 points off the lead in the overall standings.
34:26But Francesco Garcia, the first one, once he got to second on lap two, there was never any doubt.
34:34He opened up that lead, controlled the race, and went on to win comfortably by nearly 12 seconds.
34:41Race two, he didn't make the good start.
34:43He had to be methodical.
34:44He had to be patient.
34:45That's exactly what he was.
34:47There was that one moment here when he passed Berbortz, where it almost went a little bit, Pete Tom.
34:54But he saved it.
34:55Stayed in the race.
34:56Stayed in the fight.
34:59And Francesco Garcia is going to round out the final turn.
35:03He will go 1-1 at home in Spain at the opening round.
35:07What a day for him.
35:09And Venom Bud Racing Kawasaki surely is going to go and celebrate in front of the fans at the first
35:14turn.
35:15I hope so.
35:17There you go.
35:18That's what it means to him.
35:21Absolutely hero of the hour.
35:23Garcia, take a bow.
35:26We wait for Tibercio to come through in third place.
35:30But the Venom Bud Racing Kawasaki is the new king of Spain.
35:38Here's Jake Cannon.
35:39And it's going to be a Venom Bud Racing 1-2 overall at this opening round.
35:44I'm not sure if he knows it yet.
35:45Maybe he does.
35:48But Jake Cannon crosses the line in fifth.
35:49That's going to be good enough for second overall.
35:52What a date has been for the French-based team.
35:56They will tell him in a moment.
36:01He's going to the podium.
36:06The team are right there.
36:08And so is Garcia.
36:11Let the celebrations begin when he left the track yesterday and rode around the outside of the trucks on that
36:17back road where the road is, where the trucks are based.
36:20The crowd, they created a corridor like you see when they do the mountain stages in the Tour de France.
36:28Everybody shouting in pain and slapping him on the back all the way to the truck yesterday.
36:33It was incredible.
36:35And I would imagine when they play the National Anthem of Spain in a moment, it is going to go
36:40off.
36:41Hopefully they sink their hearts out.
36:48Garcia wins race two.
36:50Mano four, second.
36:55Bernardo Tabercio, third.
36:57Nico Skopjörg, fourth.
36:58Jake Cannon, fifth.
37:00Jacobs Kubel in sixth.
37:01Your overall podium.
37:03Francesco Garcia with a 1-1.
37:05Jake Cannon with a 2-5.
37:09Mano four with a 9-2.
37:12Lisa Leyland is ready to speak to Francesco Garcia, the man of the hour, the king of Spain.
37:18Vernon Bud Racing, Kawasaki.
37:20Let's hear what he has to say.
37:24Francesco Garcia, massive congratulations.
37:26A double race win victory on home soil for the first round.
37:29It doesn't get much better than that.
37:31Oh, yes.
37:32Amazing.
37:33It's an amazing win, but in the home it's better.
37:36A lot of fun here.
37:38I'm so happy.
37:39The riding was good.
37:41The start was not the best.
37:43A little bit arp in the moto, but I tried to push like myself.
37:46I take myself in the moto and I win the moto and, yeah, good.
37:52Also the red plate.
37:53Enjoy the podium.
37:58The man in red will wear the red plate in round two.
38:05What a weekend it has been for Francesco Garcia.
38:09The Venom Bud Racing Kawasaki rider showed up in the colours of the national flag.
38:14And why wouldn't you?
38:15Oh, what a reception he has received all around this racetrack.
38:18Fastest in time practice.
38:20He goes 1-1.
38:21It does not get any better than that for Garcia.
38:30And then headed straight to turn one to celebrate with the fans.
38:35Boy, you just want that to be the last race of the day, don't you?
38:37So they can just charge the start straight and be there at the podium.
38:42Francesco Garcia wins race one from Mano, er, race two from Mano four.
38:46Bernardo Tibercio, Nico Schoenberg, Jake Cannon, what a rider.
38:49That was for him, for the Australian.
38:51Jacobs Kubelins, Dean Gregoire and August Frisk.
38:54With ninth and tenth going to Tom Brunet and Matt Stradtso.
38:57Rowan Tulsmer was 11th and then Lionel Reichel.
39:00Adria Mann, Max Ernaker, Francesco Ballet and Jana Berwitz.
39:03The final four positions going to Sebastian Liam Owens, Cesar Payne-Diaz and Aaron Katona picking up the point.
39:16Lucas Koenig walking the track there, look.
39:23The overall this weekend belongs to Francesco Garcia.
39:28A perfect weekend for him, perfect weekend for the team.
39:31Venom Bud race in Kawasaki, go one, two, as Jake Cannon of Australia takes the second step of the podium.
39:38Mano four on the box, third overall this weekend.
39:45Billy Askew after third in race one, crash in race two, leaving him off the podium.
39:56He'll be disappointed with that, I'm sure.
40:01He'll be disappointed with that, I'm sure.
40:04The mission that we can't wait, and that he begins is now.
40:09The victory is to be in his hands, it is to be a chance.
40:15He'll be disappointed with that, he'll be disappointed with it.
40:19He'll be disappointed with that, he'll be disappointed with that, he'll be disappointed with that.

45:42in a moment but let's check out the highlights of race two shall we what a race it was
45:49the mx250 race two over on the right hand side billy askew got left behind and then he would
46:07make a mistake after finishing third in race one yesterday he would eventually be forced to
46:10withdraw his chance of a podium gone your winner from race one as well francesco garcia was around
46:16about 10th place in the first few corners a couple of positions behind his teammate there's jacob's
46:20kubalins on the jk yamaha took over the lead behind him dean gregoire on the 28th man oh four there
46:27on
46:27the 295 in third place and then jane burrooks burrooks said came under pressure from bernardo tabercio
46:33tabercio finding his way past to move into fourth it's a good ride for the brazilian we then saw a
46:40change of lead as four went past kubalins that was on lap four garcia also on the charge past the
46:49latvian
46:51as he moved into second on lap six he had this moment here mano four that cost him the lead
47:00garcia was there ready to pounce he took over the lead at that moment but he could never really switch
47:05off and relax jake cannon in the second half of the race really started to come into his own found
47:10his
47:10way past dean gregoire eventually past frisk and kubalins to come out in fifth position garcia would
47:16win the race it would be a 1-1 for the venom bud racing kawasaki finishing ahead of mano for
47:21tabercio
47:22scotberg and cannon and for the kawasaki team as garcia celebrated in the first turn with his fans it
47:31will be a one two as it was in the first race but leaving here with the overall garcia cannon

48:13done and you did it in front of your home fans i tell you really good starting the beginning of
48:19the
48:19straight like the movement and all was good direction but in the corner my teammate i see
48:24starting from of me take me i touch me a little bit after yeah after in the beginning i sleep
48:30sleep a
48:31little bit but also with the training and the trainer he say stay calm in the beginning there it was

49:08you really did come in your own at the end of that race what sort of race was that for
49:12you um
49:12no it was kind of a weird one because i got off to a good start i kind of struggled
49:17at the start um
49:19just to try to find some lines that were working and i ended up going down on the opening laps
49:24and
49:24then i just had to fight the whole way to get back to p5 so it was a good moto
49:29good weekend for the team
49:30and yeah thank you to my trainer and deltons and everyone else and venom thank you thanks jake okay
