02:07I think if you ask the riders, the mechanics as well, because at the end of the race when they've
02:11got to clean the bikes off, sticky heavy mud is just a nightmare to deal with. But you've got something
02:17that's already wet and loose and whatever else.
02:20And of course, you'd take that all day long, wouldn't you? But it's going to be a challenging day. This
02:26third round here in Switzerland.
02:29In total, we've had 88 Grand Prixs in Switzerland since 1957. 97 different winners in all classes. Most used venue.
02:38Payone, 33. Roggenburg, we had 16 occasions. Woland, 15.
02:42If you weren't with us over the course of the weekend or today earlier for the EMX races, here's what
02:47the track looks like. Here's our GoPro track preview with Jeremy Siwa.
03:00Homeboy, quite literally, 20 minutes in the row. Jeremy Siwa, Red Bull Ducati. Factory MX GP takes us for a
03:06lap around this ground felt circuit. It's about 60 metres down to turn one. Slightly downhill in the braking zone
03:12as well. Look how tight it is.
03:15You can get the start from about 10 gates over as everybody else at the inside starts to break. You're
03:19over the foxhole shot immediately. See what I mean?
03:21But the stones just there in the ground, just giving it a nice base to work with. Through the chicane,
03:26over the Monster Energy finish line jump. That should be a busy grandstand through there.
03:29And then we've got these three waves, turn four. Opening up over the Liqui Moly jump. You can jump long
03:35here if you want to pass somebody and outbrake them into this next turn, turn five.
03:39Again, falls away on the exit ever so slightly. Two little singles. And the problem there is the first one.
03:44If you drift too wide and then it just starts to hook back, you're in danger of being unseated. Sector
03:48one ends here on the face of that jump.
03:51So from the finish line to that particular point, over this Monster Energy tabletop, through this fast right sweeping turn
03:57yesterday and then into here, turn eight.
04:00As we get out of here, we've got a series of seven waves beneath the city bridge at the end.
04:05New little single there. You see how soft that was yesterday over this new tunnel jump.
04:09And at the end of it all, we've got turn nine, this 180 pretty much left turn.
04:14That's going to be sticky and rutty as the race goes on.
04:16Short straight and into turn 10. Hopping up onto the wall.
04:20The wall jump there takes you high and wide around there and then dropping down here onto the flat and
04:25then turning right through turn 12.
04:29See, we're acknowledging his fans yesterday.
04:31What a beautiful racetrack we had yesterday in terms of conditions at least.
04:36Out of the right hand of 13, over the tabletop, back down into the main arena.
04:40We go right through here.
04:44And then over that Monster Jump.
04:46Pit lane entrance to the right.
04:49Down past Pit Lane.
04:51And then this long turn seems like it goes through 270 degrees because you barely pick it up to the
04:57fat part of the tyre and it just keeps going on and on and on.
05:00Through here, we straighten up.
05:02There's your start straight, your first turn, back over the Foxhole shot line, through this right-left kink, over the
05:06Monster Energy finish line jump.
05:08That's the lap here in Fraunfeld.
05:11I'm feeling a bit like Fraunfeld today.
05:14Anyway, we had an opening ceremony just a few moments ago.

06:43okay so we're fully warmed up here in switzerland for the mxgp of switzerland presented by ixs i'm joined by
06:50red bull ktm factory mx2 rider sasha kunan who's also our pole man uh sasha yesterday you got your third
06:57qualifying pole in a row tell us about that race and also how would the conditions have changed for today
07:03yeah i liked it more yesterday let's say it was a bit drier but it's also good like this we
07:10make some difference and yeah it's kind of sketchy for the moment it's really it's really wet and it's kind
07:16of hot underneath so it's really slippery but we do our best
07:20yeah i mean like you said it's really wet i guess partly it stopped raining at the moment but i
07:25guess we want it to rain a little bit more don't we to keep the soil loose to keep it
07:29loose out there and so it doesn't get so tacky and sticky i guess or not tell me from your
07:33point of view
07:34i think it's better that it doesn't rain then we can make some lines and it can dry a bit
07:39faster so yeah

07:46now i'd really like to grab a few words with kawasaki factory mx2 rider matisse valand mainly because of yesterday's
07:53ride in the qualifying race
07:54uh you actually leading the way you went down i think you were outside the 25th position at one point
07:59you worked your way back up to fifth
08:02how was it and what actually happened
08:03yeah it was a really a tough race for me uh i made the job directly since the beginning uh
08:09i put myself in good position i did all shot so this was really good
08:12and then uh yeah tipped over in the second corner so uh yeah it was really a tough one but
08:17i could manage a good uh
08:19comeback to p5 so this was really good i was having a really good speed so uh really happy about
08:24it and now
08:25uh need to do the same start and don't crash yeah how was the feeling this morning in warm-up
08:30yeah well the track is a lot different than yesterday uh we had a lot of rain uh during the
08:36night so
08:36uh yeah the track is different i need a good start and uh we'll see but i was feeling good
08:41okay best of luck thank you matisse valand there good luck to matisse and all the guys on the start
08:46it's time for the first race mx2 boys
08:52take a look at the quality highlights from yesterday then shall we
08:59matisse valand got an absolute rocket for start
09:04as he charged down into that short straight down into the first turn kemder mcclellan the red plate holder
09:10didn't make a good jump and he was forced to hold a nice tight inside line but he came out
09:15well
09:16one of the advantages of being fairly closely inside valand led sasha kunan but then coming out of this
09:21next left turn or midway through he just started to stumble and then just folded it here valerio latter
09:28did a good job of avoiding him but he picked himself up right about 25th well there you see
09:31right towards the back had to get his head down and charge his way back to fifth
09:38sasha kunan led
09:41captain mcclellan here capitalized on a mistake from his teammate gian ferez who fell
09:46out of third all of a sudden mcclellan now to third
09:51as he chased latter and kunan at the head of the field
09:59had a bit of an off-track excursion as he got himself onto the rear wheel of the italian lost
10:03some time would get another opportunity a little bit later on but by then it just started to drizzle
10:08late on in the race
10:14liam evertz a great move to carve his way up the inside of kaz volk
10:19as he charged his way up towards that sort of fifth place and then he fell
10:28mcclellan ran the outside of valerio latter finally get himself into second on lap nine of 14
10:35evertz alongside the 772 of racialists as he carved his way back up towards sort of sixth position
10:41with gian ferez coming with him into seventh
10:46final stage of the race
10:48sasha kunan had been caught by camden mcclellan
10:52mcclellan couldn't do anything about him though just made one little mistake on the final lap
10:55sasha kunan going on to win for the third time in 2026
10:59the qualifying race on saturday from camden mcclellan and valerio latter
11:10so the championship now looks like this
11:13camden mcclellan arrived here two points clear he's now four clear of simon langenfelder
11:17as sasha kuner moves up to third at the expense of gian ferez
11:20no change for maxis valand ever set up a place
11:22jannis race is down to seventh just ahead of his brother and teammate carlis race
11:34so the qualifying race
11:36so the qualifying race belonged to sasha kunan for the third time taking a victory
11:41in 2026 camden mcclellan will go to the line in second third for valerio latter best of the season so
11:47far for him then simon langenfelder equaling the fourth place
11:51then valand everett ferez and jannis race is nine for ulyss mikula tenth carlis race is and then we see
11:58the rest of the guys there with

12:32and Ferruccio Zanke will be back two weeks time when we head to Rio de Sardo in Sardinia
12:39Sasha Kunin, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, he may have three qualifying race wins for the season
12:45but Sasha Kunin yet to win a race on Sunday, he's had a second, a DNF, a seventh and a

12:53in the first four races so far, Liam Everett six in qualifying
12:59no higher than third so far this year in race two in Argentina
13:03and for the first time Camden McClellan the Triumph Racing MX2 factory team rider with the red plate
13:09championship leaders red plate winning in Spain a week ago in Andalusia a second and a first to clinch that
13:16victory
13:18his teammate Guillem Ferez both the Triumph boys are strong they're solid given both a good start
13:24they will compete for wins and overalls and are in the hunt for the championship as well
13:32Valerio Latta third in the qualifying race
13:38for Honda HRC Petronas can he get a good start hang out front on what will be a challenging race
13:44track
13:45difficult track to pass on as the race goes on as those lines develop get deeper and the track breaks
13:52down and deteriorates
13:53Giannis Reisselis eighth in the qualifying race yesterday
13:58Julius Michele was nine Carlos Reisselis was tenth
14:04and the number one Simon Langenfelder started fifth up to fourth as early as lap two stayed there for the
14:12next 12 laps
14:17lost a couple of points to Camden McClellan in the championship chase four now the difference between first and second
14:23Mattis Valam bagged the whole shot yesterday in the quali race went down a couple of corners later
14:28calmed his way back to fifth so if anybody has track knowledge
14:32where to pass how to pass okay conditions were slightly different to what we have now but he still has
14:38that banked
14:40in the memory book somewhere fly racing 15 second board up for the first time today
14:45nx2 race one 30 minutes plus two laps

15:04who's gonna be the rider to drop it across and it's Valan just like he did yesterday
15:09couple of riders getting hung out and Valan over the foxhole shot line for the first time this year
15:18and he stays on two wheels through the next couple of corners as well

16:07not a good start for the championship leader
16:23technical race track now with the rain that we had through the night and for the best part of an

16:29earlier today stopping during that emx 250 race
16:35everybody knows who's up at the sharp end here knows that they've just got to keep it clean for
16:41the first couple of laps don't rush anything unnecessarily ah like sasha kunan who goes off the side of the
16:47track
16:48and passes from one side of the place to the other loses two positions
16:54gains one back immediately evarts will try to challenge him that he does

17:25just came in too hard just trying to rush and win everything on the first lap look
17:29catches the sling patch there up onto the berm over the berm gets back on almost goes down again

17:49mcclellan up to 18th for triumph
18:01sasha kunan just in a bit of a hurry at the moment
18:13turn nine the left-hander see how deep that rut is
18:16ever struggle to get out of there you couldn't even see sasha kunan disappear completely
18:22maxim grow good start for him on the maddie honda in eighth place
18:28ianis raceless top of the screen just behind him in ninth come on trinity yamaha
18:38sasha kunan just needs to calm things down a little bit let the track come to him
18:42switch to the inside once bitten twice shy there's mcclellan turn 13
18:55up and over the jump there does that sound lots ahead of him yes it is so it's found his
19:03way past
19:04for a two ski on the 199 mcclellan now 16th
19:15just got to keep a cool calm head knows he's got time on his side almost 26 minutes but that
19:20clock
19:21working backwards plus those two laps lap times around about 1.55 on this opening lap
19:27or two from valand the race leader

19:47around the outside camden mcclellan was that the best line we don't know those all we do know is those
19:53lines are going to get deeper and heavier picks off another rider ahead of him in the form of colma
20:02moves up to 15th place
20:11zanox just there on the venry ktm in orange the tall hungarian
20:19further up the track julius meekillor
20:24here comes mcclellan eases past the 7.16 another scalp for the red plate holder
20:34meekillor ahead of him on the 20.
20:44someone might like mcclellan mcclellan who's got a very quick motorcycle he knows he's got
20:50the talent and the confidence to go with it now that he's a race winner and a grand prix winner
20:57are the riders in and around him not as confident they might have good mud skills
21:02but as soon as he comes through he's able to capitalize and you get riders tripping each
21:07other up like this andrea rossi and julius mikula as they fight over 12th 13th place
21:16just got to be careful little things like that
21:20how far is he off of the lead at the moment nearly 30 seconds probably 30 seconds or more
21:25by the time he hits the line this time around yes the track will dry out but those lines will
21:30get
21:30deeper the ruts the mud will get heavier stickier as this race goes on mcclellan in 14th there
21:41then this end of the circuit tipping through the corner kai karsmakers in 10th on the 33 kawasaki
21:47and then behind him walvo rossi mikula meanwhile further up the track liam evans on the 26th
21:54nastarna svana out of turn eight trying to go after valerio latin those two fighting over fifth place

22:32things just settling down at the moment
22:36it's almost like everybody knows their space and their place on the racetrack
22:44get too close to try and make a move you're gonna either rush in or get hampered
22:49by visibility issues from the rider in front just spraying mud off the rear wheel
22:55and then it looks cool looks calm so too does latter
23:09that's about his first podium is a wild card in majora in similar conditions

23:19so it doesn't mind riding these conditions of course it helps when you've got a good start and you're up

23:33him and then janis raceless still lurking in ninth then we've got a massive 12 second gap back to kai
23:38cars makers mcclellan is up to 11th all of a sudden found his way past rossi and zanoc and volk

23:45in the space of a lap or so
23:56the land's lead shrinking at the moment
24:02lost a little bit of time in both sector one and sector two down to 3.7 we're now in
24:08this third sector
24:20usually such a fast part of the racetrack there up around the wall then dropping back down to turn 12
24:27there's sasha kunan
24:30goes around that single to the inside

24:40past the scene of the crime on the opening lap where he went off
24:44as he tried to rush that turn at the bottom of the hill
24:50you know it's cold when you've got the vapor coming out of your mouth
24:55five degrees hovering five degrees bitter wind again
25:04challenging conditions for the riders yes they'll warm up but you feel that cold certainly on your hands
25:10if it drops any lower
25:14sasha kunan iron up liam evans here the two belgians
25:18heavy landing there for the number 19
25:21head almost bounced off the handlebars on landing and then rushing that corner there and all that good
25:26work now coming back undone again
25:31sometimes you just got to go slow to go quick watch this here pulls the tear off and then
25:39and then he rushes this turn here comes in too hot and then makes another couple of mistakes mid-turn
25:44can't get out of there quick enough puts himself under pressure looks back
25:48sees maxim grow just hair on the tortoise really just sitting there
25:53on his rear wheel
26:00race leader matis valand
26:07out on his own up front at the moment kawasaki racing team the next two
26:21and take another look at the start of the race though shall we
26:29about five gates over there he is quickly out of the blocks cabinet mcclellan look just like
26:33he did in the qualifying race trying to hold a nice tight line but then this time not so fortunate
26:39valand with the foxhole shot though
26:48and then run up towards the finish line
27:00the land got his qualifying race win czech republic last year this is only race win so far in mx2
27:09up on the wall pushing hard isn't he so far there's like a cat with nine lives i think it's
27:16used up three
27:26so far there's like eight seconds clear at the moment
27:35one 55 one but the fastest rider on track that time around was liam evans 154.1
27:44as he chases latter who was a 54.9
27:48and everts quickest in sector two after putting a personal lap sector time in sector one keen to
27:57find his way past the italian ahead of him and he's right on the rear wheel of the honda hrc
28:01patronus rider once again breaking free from sasha kunin to the tune of about five seconds now
28:08he's right on top of the car tiptoeing down that little drop off backhand snaking on the italian coming
28:15out of that turn wasn't clean on the exit
28:20evans constantly ducking his head to the left to the right to avoid the roost

28:28to avoid the hand of frglass and that's because there's a ì±… that stands out in thomas
28:31that's a very roman fever sets through their stood up on the right peg dangled the left
28:39as he tipped it through that left turn

28:49so with seven laps complete with Valan leading the way Carlos raceless second Perez third
28:53Langerfelder fourth latter fifth we're going to go down to pit lane catch up with Rasmus Jorgensen
29:00and find out what he thinks about the race so far from Liam Evertz on the Nostan Hustvana
29:11we see Liam Evertz in sixth pushing latter there in fifth is it fair to say it's been quite a
29:17quiet
29:17few races for him how's he feeling and what feedback has he given you so far yeah for sure
29:23going through some things minor injuries that we we need to you know be careful not to make worth
29:29and still you know trying to maximize the weekend and keep keep you know the the hope alive for the
29:35big picture but uh it's uh it's a challenge uh you know it's a fight to not be able to
29:41go out there
29:42and and do your absolute you know to your full capacity let's say so um he's he's you know he's
29:48doing everything he can the team is doing everything we can and we take it uh session by session and
29:53uh hopefully this just two weeks will will do him really good but uh let's try and get today

30:03Liam Evertz pushing all over the back of Valerio Latta down the back straight almost found a way
30:10through into that fifth position all came to a stop though in the next left turn as he tried to
30:17turn up the inside of the italian both struggling in that deep rut latter still hanging on for now
30:24in fifth position Evertz there 26 in six heard one or two stories that he was maybe struggling with an
30:31injury so obviously Rasmus Jorgensen there just touching the surface there a little bit you know
30:39trying to manage those situations keeping him in the game and trying to keep the points coming in
30:49so Evans try and get through this weekend and then turn up in Riola close to a hundred percent perhaps
31:01Valan Ferris Ferris sorry Guillaume Ferris now up to second Langenfelder third Rachelis Carlos Rachelis down to fourth
31:10so Ferez and Langenfelder both finding their way past the number 47 as they move into second and third
31:21and here's how it happened Carlos Rachelis there getting squeezed
31:27by Kim Ferez that was Ferez moving up in the second
31:32and then Langenfelder down the back straight at the end of sector two
31:37just committed to the jump as he chases down Ferez
31:43and Evans finally finds his way past Valerio Latta in the same part of the racetrack
31:48and then he goes down throws it away again does all the hard work
31:54moves briefly up into fifth place
32:09an easy pass then for Sasha Koonan
32:11with Evertz on the floor
32:15where does Evertz re-emerge
32:17well he was in fifth position and then obviously going down
