00:34Another big day.
00:37Remember when I could dance?
00:40Mhm.
00:41Michael D was a presence that was very light.
00:45Not having him there makes this feel more like a competition.
00:48Good morning, Wanda.
00:51Dude, we gotta go into the other room today.
00:53I decided I have to go. I'm staying.
00:55So Christopher Collins and I have to move
00:57in with Andy and Michael Costello, which should be very interesting.
01:01Yeah, interesting.
01:03Okay, let's go.
01:05We should do like a thing before we leave now, like a pow-wow thing, you know, like...
01:08Come on.
01:15Hello.
01:16Hi.
01:17I'm going to let Tim fill in on all of the details for your next challenge, but I will give
01:22you a little hint.
01:23If you win the next challenge, you will be taking home a big chunk of change.
01:32Good luck, and I'll see you all on the runway.
01:35Bye.
01:44Good morning, designers.
01:46I am delighted to introduce Collier Strong, consulting makeup artist for L'Oreal Paris.
01:50Collier is here to work with you on the makeup aspect of your head-to-toe look for this challenge.
01:55Hi, everyone.
01:56Hi.
01:56For this challenge, you will be designing a high fashion look that will appear in a L'Oreal Paris advertorial.
02:03When I say high fashion, I'm referring to something that would be perfectly at home in Paris Couture Week.
02:08In other words, a serious wow moment.
02:11This advertorial will appear in Marie Claire magazine, and the winner of this challenge will receive something unprecedented.
02:22$20,000.
02:24What?
02:25From L'Oreal Paris.
02:26$20,000.
02:28I haven't made over $12,000 a year to win $20,000.
02:34Wow, that's amazing.
02:35I think you look stricken.
02:38And this advertorial not only features your design, but it also features L'Oreal Studio Secret eyeshadow duos.
02:45They come in five fantastic finishes, metallic, crystal, bright, matte, and velvet.
02:50So the point of departure for this challenge is to use one of the Studio Secret's finishes for your inspiration.
02:56And Mondo, you won the last challenge, so you got to choose first.
03:00I am going to pick bright.
03:03I'm going to choose the next designer from our velvet bag, and that designer is Christopher.
03:08I'm going with Crystal.
03:10April.
03:11Matt.
03:12Michael.
03:13Love me some metallic.
03:14Ivy.
03:15Bright.
03:16Valerie.
03:17Crystal.
03:18Gretchen.
03:19Velvet.
03:19Velvet, to me, is risky, which is right up my alley.
03:23I think it's a boring fabric, and Gretchen designs boring clothes, so it'll work perfect.
03:29Andy.
03:29I will go with metallic.
03:31All right.
03:32You will have 30 minutes to sketch.
03:33Then we're going shopping at Mood, where you'll have a budget of $300.
03:37And you have two days for this challenge.
03:40Yes!
03:42Yes!
03:43Finally!
03:44Good luck.
03:45Off we go.
03:46Bye.
03:50Looking at the Floreal makeup, I am going to go very literal and do something bright.
03:55I'm basing my design on a kaleidoscope.
03:58When I think of the word bright, Hawaii comes to mind, and I am designing this very beautiful
04:04electric blue gown.
04:07I'm going to create waves on it.
04:11All right, everyone, let's head off to Mood.
04:15All right, designers, you have your $300 budget, and you have 30 minutes to shop.
04:19Be strategic.
04:20And swatch, yes, you can be part of this.
04:22All right, everyone, your time starts now.
04:24Let's go.
04:28I thought of doing an evening gown, so I'm looking for snowy and fine fabrics.
04:37This time going in, I knew what textiles I was looking for.
04:41The only thing I was very concerned about is the color.
04:43Everyone, that's it.
04:44Time is up.
04:46Thank you, Mood.
04:49Nice swatch.
04:50Coming up on Project Gourmet.
04:51This could be one of my strongest pieces.
04:53It is.
04:53That's the ripple of the wave, and then that's the waters crushing it.
05:09The challenge today is hard, because it's create the most complex work you have to date.
05:16And create something that complements these eyeshadow duos.
05:21That's a lot of pressure.
05:31How is everyone?
05:32Good.
05:32Good.
05:33I'm here to check in with you and see what you're doing.
05:36I feel like coming out of the last challenge, I feel like a fighter in me has been awakened.
05:43Good.
05:43And that's kind of what's coming out of my designs.
05:45I'm all offensive about Andy's.
05:47It's kind of like, wow, but then it's like, what?
05:50He's literally making a warrior costume.
05:51Are you taking it far enough?
05:53I don't know.
05:54So think about that.
05:55Thank you, Tim.
05:57Initially, I thought very kimono or like, caftan-y.
06:01Right now, it's looking very much like a robe.
06:03Really?
06:04Yeah.
06:05Okay.
06:06Gretchen.
06:07Oh, my God.
06:09I don't like what she's doing.
06:11When I think of bright, I think of a day at the beach.
06:13So how are you using the strips?
06:14That's the ripple of the wave, and then that's the waters crashing.
06:19No.
06:20This is when it's getting too literal.
06:23Okay.
06:24Keep your critical eye on it so that it doesn't become a pageant gown.
06:27It could go pageant very easily.
06:29Thank you, YB.
06:30Thank you, Tim.
06:39Hey, what's up?
06:40I have a lot of work to do, girl, a lot.
06:42Go ahead, walk through.
06:43Oh, wow.
06:44It's beautiful.
06:45A lot of the other designers are still working in the muslin,
06:48and they have nothing for try on.
06:5015.
06:51Ah!
06:52I'm ready for this fitting.
06:53I likey.
06:57A little loose.
06:59A little loose.
07:00The bodice is huge.
07:02Let me take some measurements.
07:04I've been worried about Ian being substantially smaller than my size 6 form,
07:09but she's my muse.
07:11I'm just being loyal.
07:12Bye.
07:13Bye.
07:13Bye.
07:13Bye.
07:14Bye.
07:20It's 11 o'clock at night, and I have to start this whole bodice over.
07:25I wasted 12 hours on this avant-garde look, and now I'm basically...
07:37coming up on Project Runway.
07:39Listen to me, listen to me, listen to me.
07:40You can't forfeit.
07:42I just lost a day and a half of work.
07:45Val?
07:46Designers, can I have your attention, please?
07:49Oh, my God.
07:50Even I'm shaking over this.
08:00Are you so worried?
08:02Would you be worried if you...
08:03I would be.
08:05Last an entire day of work.
08:06I've already dropped the ball on this challenge.
08:08I'm way behind, and I'm freaking out.
08:11Let's go.
08:12On my way to the mother...
08:15top.
08:16That was really bad.
08:18I need a Red Bull.
08:29Designers, I want you to know, on the one hand, I am loathe to present what I'm about
08:35to present.
08:37On the other hand, I sincerely believe it will help each of you.
08:42Oh, my God.
08:43You are currently designing a high fashion runway look.
08:48There are very few, if any, designers who can sustain a brand based on this genre of
08:53work.
08:54Great.
08:55Rather, they build their brand based on ready-to-wear collections.
09:00So, for this challenge, you will be creating a second look.
09:05No.
09:06This look is to be a ready-to-wear companion to your high fashion runway look.
09:13This is terrible.
09:14You will have until midnight tonight and the usual amount of time in the morning to complete
09:19both looks.
09:21Oh, my God.
09:25So, this means you need to run, not walk.
09:31Even I'm shaking over this.
09:32I think I'm going to pee my pants.
09:34All right, designers, let's go to mood.
09:36You have 15 minutes.
09:38Go.
09:39Go, go, go.
09:39Can I get some help?
09:40That's exactly what I need.
09:42Hello.
09:42You know, I'm just thinking stretch fabric.
09:45I'm a little overwhelmed.
09:46Yeah.
09:47Yeah, I'm a little freaked out.
09:51All right, everyone.
09:52Time is up.
09:54You need to be at the counter.
09:55Andy, where are you?
09:58Here he is.
09:59Time's up.
09:59I'm having a good life swatch.
10:01You don't have to make any dresses today, do you?
10:05This is crazy.
10:07I'm going to need five red bulls today.
10:09Two looks, 20 grand.
10:11It's huge.
10:12Andy, what would you do with 20 grand?
10:14It'll probably go towards...
10:15Debt?
10:16Some of it.
10:17Yeah.
10:18I hope I win, because $20,000 would not only help me pay off my student loans, but I could
10:24also get a miniature pony.
10:26$20,000 is definitely leaving some money, signs, in some of the designer's eyes.
10:31And I think that might blindside them a little bit, so hopefully they'll drop the ball and go home.
10:38How is everyone?
10:40Good.
10:40Eh?
10:42I've seen better days.
10:43Talk to me.
10:44The bodice looks okay.
10:45It...
10:46It doesn't...
10:47I mean, I had to put a lot of layering in it and voting for the construction, but I just
10:50don't feel confident sending this down the runway, Tim.
10:52You have to send two looks down the runway.
10:54So, like it or not, fake it.
10:57Well, I think that's my hardest thing is that, like, if I'm going to be slated on the runway for
11:00something that I'm not wild about, then I...
11:03You have to forfeit.
11:05Forget about your original design.
11:07Make this work.
11:08Right.
11:09Listen to me, listen to me, listen to me.
11:10This is an issue that every designer faces.
11:13You have a vision.
11:14You don't want to compromise it.
11:16Right.
11:17You don't have the time.
11:18So you're now released from it.
11:21Okay.
11:22All right, Valerie.
11:23You can do it.
11:25I just lost a day and a half of work.
11:28I sewed things that I wasn't going to use.
11:31I wasted time.
11:34Belle?
11:35What's wrong?
11:38I just spent, like, the entire two days cutting out all that for nothing.
11:45I just don't want to make an ass of myself.
11:47Like, I don't want to have to defend something that...
11:50You don't love.
11:51Not even that I don't love, that I don't like.
11:53Thanks.
11:54Coming up on Project Runway.
11:57Oh, I need you to take it off.
11:59I'm freaking out right now.
12:00This is major, major.
12:02Crossing my fingers on this one.
12:11So what are you upset about?
12:12I feel like I'm going to make an ass of myself, and that's not how I want to leave.
12:15My work is better than this.
12:17Like, I've done evening wear for women that go to the Cannes Film Festival.
12:21Valerie tends to complain a lot.
12:23I understand that she's going through a rough patch right now, but we all are.
12:26We just deal with it differently, and, oh, it's just very wearing.
12:31Oh, there she is.
12:34Hi.
12:35How are you?
12:36So it's just a really simple jersey dress.
12:39Okay, cool.
12:39How's it going?
12:40I'm on this.
12:41I've kind of bent on it.
12:43Yesterday I was finished.
12:45Oh, .
12:46My fitting is going horrendously.
12:49The measurements that I got for the model are smaller than her actual measurements,
12:53so I'm really, really freaked out.
12:57Do you want me to take my bra off?
12:59Yeah.
12:59Could you?
13:00Okay, model.
13:00See you later.
13:01It was nice seeing you.
13:02Bye, model!
13:08Has Valerie had, like, an emotional crisis yesterday?
13:11Oh, yeah, Valerie's freaking out.
13:13I saw her black dress.
13:14What did it wear?
13:15It's black.
13:17Is it nice?
13:17I think Valerie just ran out of time and just had to get something done.
13:22And same for Ivy.
13:23I think that's kind of what's going to get them in the end.
13:26Well, guys, it's time to hit the runway.
13:29Let's go.
13:30Single file.
13:31Let's do this.
13:32It's going to be a long one, girl.
13:44There's a lot to do.
13:47Good morning, designers.
13:49Good morning.
13:50All right, you know the drill.
13:52You have two hours to send your models to the L'Oreal Paris makeup room
13:54and the Garnier hair salon.
13:56Please use the Piper Lime accessory wall very thoughtfully, okay?
14:01Thanks, everyone.
14:02Thanks, Tim.
14:04Thanks, Tim.
14:06The finish I have is metallic.
14:08It's sort of bronze around her eye.
14:10Yes.
14:10Maybe just like a soft little bit of light on the eye.
14:13We're doing Audrey Hepburn, the American Lady, and Ruckus at Tiffany's.
14:17Alien without being green alien, but like abnormal.
14:21There's going to be two of these going like that.
14:25Cool.
14:32No.
14:34Designers, in ten minutes, you and your models and I are going down to the runway, all right?
14:40Ten minutes.
14:46I'm freaking out right now.
14:48I need to make sure that I get the dresses on, put the models in them, and send them down
14:52the runway.
14:53Oh, .
14:53I need you to take it off.
14:55Oh, my God.
14:56This is so not normal.
15:00Designers and models, we are going down to the runway, everyone.
15:04So, please follow me, all right?
15:07Go ahead, girls.
15:08Go.
15:09Just go.
15:10The construction is completely a disaster.
15:13So, I'm hoping that I just get by on this one.
15:16What?
15:17Tim, I had some shoes set aside for my model for her dress.
15:20Hmm.
15:20Let's just leave.
15:23Coming up on Project Gourmet.
15:25She looks like Miss Guatemala.
15:28You have to choose either boobs or legs.
15:30The dress is like a Xanax.
15:32It's a disaster.
15:33This was tragic.
15:47Hello.
15:48Hi.
15:50Welcome to the runway.
15:51As you know, in fashion, one day you're in, and the next day, you're out.
15:58There are big stakes for this challenge.
16:00The designer who wins tonight will receive $20,000.
16:05And we'll also have their design featured in a L'Oréal Paris advertorial.
16:10We asked you to create a high fashion runway look that would really wow us.
16:15And then, just to keep you on your toes again, we threw in a ready-to-wear look.
16:21All right, let's meet the judges.
16:22First, we have CFDA Lifetime Achievement Award winner, Michael Kors.
16:26Hey, guys.
16:27Fashion director for Marie Claire Magazine, Nina Garcia.
16:30Hi, everyone.
16:31And guest judge, American fashion designer, who dresses many celebrities, including the first lady, Michelle Obama, Naeem Khan.
16:40Hello, guys.
16:41Hi.
16:43We will score your designs as they come down the runway.
16:46One of you will be named the winner, and one of you will be out.
16:50Okay, let's start the show.
16:59When Milana walks out on the runway, I feel that I have definitely accomplished the challenge in a way that
17:05is new and innovative and still true to who I am.
17:08And I think it looks beautiful, and it's definitely high fashion.
17:19When the ready-to-wear look follows it, I'm so proud of myself.
17:23I couldn't ask for anything better, and I feel like it's really reminiscent of who I am as a designer.
17:38I think I got a lot of work done in such a short amount of time that I'm pretty amazed
17:43that it looks so good.
17:44I am definitely proud of this look just because I accomplished everything that I wanted to.
17:57So the ready-to-wear look is coming down the runway, and model hasn't looked better.
18:01I feel like I really nailed it.
18:05Heidi is going to want that dress right off her body.
18:16I am happy that it's kind of the look that I was going for.
18:21But I mean, it's definitely still true to me, and I'm still happy with it.
18:25I still think it looks very beautiful.
18:28I want a beautiful color.
18:35Overall, I think I'm safe.
18:37I don't know if I'll win this one, but I'm thinking that I'm safe at this point.
18:51I'm overall very happy with the dress.
18:54I love it.
18:55My model, she looks gorgeous.
18:56I'm kind of glancing over at the judges right now, and sure enough, Nina Garcia is looking at that train,
19:05and she's like, what the hell is this?
19:17Wow, she looks hot.
19:18She looks so good.
19:19And then here comes my ready-to-wear look.
19:21I think it looks so cool.
19:23It's the mini-me version of my, you know, couture look.
19:39I feel really great seeing my pieces on the runway.
19:42Rose is happy.
19:43I'm proud of her this week for how she's pulling off the stress.
19:48She looks great.
19:52She looks great.
19:54She looks great.
19:56Beefy is confident and strong, so it looks great.
20:00And I like the styling.
20:01I like the concept.
20:03I'm very happy with it.
20:11What I'm noticing, really, is the styling.
20:14I just feel like it's a little not me.
20:16I'm not in love with the hair, but the dress is so pretty.
20:21It is probably the best work I've ever done.
20:31I think it looks good.
20:34I feel like I've done the best job I can.
20:37Ooh, I love the side-slip action.
20:41Holla.
20:50Hey, look at her coming down the runway.
20:52It kind of reminds me a little bit of, like, an angel with a missing wing.
20:57Or Rainbow Bright on crack.
21:01You know, I'm glad it's finished.
21:02It's a finished look.
21:08You know what?
21:09I'm human.
21:10And hopefully people will appreciate the fact that I pushed on.
21:13And when all hope was lost, I could have stopped and didn't.
21:16I'm proud of myself that I stuck to my guns and I finished it.
21:20Beautiful enough.
21:20Yeah.
21:21It's a dress that I did to.
21:30She looks so good coming down the runway.
21:33I stand out not only because of my voice and my aesthetic,
21:36but also because I'm the only one that did separate.
21:40In the end, my look was perfect.
21:44This move is about redemption.
21:54Aumari looks beautiful.
21:55The dress is super clean, super streamlined, fits her so well.
22:00And it's just really good to know that I did a good job of this round.
22:11Christopher, April, congratulations.
22:14Your scores have qualified you too to move on to the next round so you can use the runway.
22:29The six of you had the highest and the lowest scores.
22:34One of you will be named the winner of this challenge and you will receive $20,000 from L'Oreal
22:39Paris and your look will appear in the L'Oreal Paris advertorial.
22:46And one of you will be out.
22:59The six of you had the highest and the lowest scores.
23:02One of you will be named the winner of this challenge and one of you will be out.
23:10Ivy, Valerie, Michael, you have the lowest scores.
23:15We're going to talk to the designers with the highest scores first and then we'll bring you back out.
23:20You can leave the runway.
23:29I chose velvet as my finish and it was really important for me to be a fantasy version of who
23:37I think I am as a designer and the type of woman that I want to create for.
23:40And then as I translated that into my ready-to-wear, I really feel like it's really taking everything you
23:47love about this and creating something that's very accessible.
23:51I think that your high fashion dress, I actually think is very wearable.
23:55Did you do the feather work yourself?
23:57I did.
23:57That's all hand up.
23:58Okay.
23:58I love the back.
24:00I wish there was more of this beading in the front somehow.
24:03I almost want to turn it around and have the back be the front because that to me brings it
24:09to another level.
24:10I like both looks.
24:13Andy, tell us about your looks.
24:14The finish that I picked was the metallic finish.
24:18I wanted to create a silhouette that was very strong, still keeping my woman feminine.
24:23For the ready-to-wear look, I wanted to maintain that strength, so I maintained the same armor on the
24:31arm and on the side.
24:32And this is actually the same fabric as this, but I did a sheer overlay to make it more wearable.
24:38I like it.
24:39You've kept to your vision.
24:40And as a designer, you have to stick to your vision.
24:43I like that you've got so much technique going on in there.
24:46I like all the detailing.
24:48And I love that cocktail dress.
24:50It's real.
24:51It's wearable.
24:52Good job.
24:54Mondo, tell us about your two looks.
24:56I chose bright.
24:58And so I kind of went back to my childhood and thought about a kaleidoscope.
25:02You turn it, you know, you get all those beautiful shapes and it always changes.
25:06So I just wanted to give it interest from the front to the back.
25:11With the day look, I just wanted to go completely opposite and have kind of an absence of color,
25:19but still be relatable to this look.
25:22But I'm very clean and just very easy to wear.
25:55First, what I want to know, you made this hat?
25:56It's a very glamorous, exciting, and original design.
25:59And I love the cocktail dress.
26:01It's simple.
26:02It's wearable.
26:03It's beautiful.
26:04Good work.
26:34Okay, we've heard what you had to say.
26:35When I was bright, I thought of the beaches in Hawaii.
26:37So for the couture look, I did bias strips and kind of wanted to really play with the idea
26:44of the ocean and the waves.
26:45So I styled her hair also to look like a wave and for the ready-to-wear piece, I did
26:52just
26:53a simple cocktail dress that kind of replicated the ocean spray on the couture dress.
27:01I think they look like bridesmaids under the sea.
27:05Everyone up here has a bridesmaid pageant problem.
27:08I think the necklines on both of the dresses are really nursey on top is the only word for
27:16it.
27:16You know, I think that the colors could have been gorgeous, but they needed to be alleviated,
27:22you know, with a little bit of lightness.
27:24So they just don't make it for me.
27:28Will you show us the back?
27:31I thought the back is better than the front.
27:34This is a little bit messy.
27:35One strap is thicker than the other, than all those stripes, if that would have been resolved
27:39a little bit better.
27:40But this is just a little bit all over the place there, but I didn't hate it as much as
27:44the others.
27:44Hmm.
27:45Valerie, tell us about your looks.
27:47The element that I received was crystal.
27:49My initial inspiration was Audrey Hepburn.
27:52Audrey in both Breakfast at Tiffany's, but also in My Fair Lady.
27:56For the high fashion look, I wanted to do something that was classic, but still regal and elegant
28:02and light and buoyant.
28:04And then for my ready-to-wear look, I wanted to go kind of the opposite.
28:08I wanted to have a contrast, so something that's a little more versatile, a little more accessible.
28:12The number one thing you learn in fashion is you should let the fabric talk to you.
28:19You were not imaginative enough.
28:23You force the fabric, and that's when everything starts going crazy.
28:26Right.
28:27Wow.
28:28I think this looks like a beauty pageant dress.
28:32I mean, she looks like Miss Guatemala.
28:35That's where my family is from, actually.
28:36No offense to you.
28:38No, it's okay.
28:39It's okay.
28:39But the hair and the makeup are not helping your cause.
28:43Yes.
28:43I mean, I really question your taste with this.
28:48It's just, there's nothing modern about it.
28:50The only possible accessory that she could use with this is a wand.
28:54I mean, it literally looks like I love you and you and you.
28:59I mean, it's just, it's wacky.
29:02And then you went the other way around.
29:05She just came from the office and someone said, oh, by the way, it's a crystal challenge.
29:13And she went into her handbag and she sewed three crystal buttons on it.
29:18I mean, it's not even, it's not even in the ballpark.
29:21No, I agree.
29:23Your points are very valid.
29:25Michael, tell us about your looks.
29:26The category that I had to choose from was metallic.
29:29I love the color and I did the shape of the dress first, was kind of digging, like, the shapes
29:36that was going into it.
29:38And then for the ready to wear, I just wanted to do something, you know, just simple and easy and
29:44not too over the top.
29:46Maybe like the mini-me version of the evening gown, so to speak.
29:53I'm not good at this.
29:54I've never been in the bottom before.
29:55I'm kind of nervous up here.
29:58I think you have to choose either boobs or legs because now it's like, I don't know where to look,
30:03the amazing legs or the amazing boobs.
30:05And therefore, I would have made the skirt longer.
30:09I think you had a big problem with this gown, a ball gown, you know, it's not the most modern
30:15thing.
30:17So, to wire the hem like that and give us this ridiculous train and then to style her like Scarlett
30:27O'Hara in Gone with the Wind, you know, it's not a costume challenge.
30:32I mean, you can turn around, please.
30:33Hello.
30:34I mean, she's got all the curtains from Tara ripped off the wall and put into the one dress.
30:40Yes.
30:41Okay.
30:42Okay.
30:43We've heard what you had to say.
30:45We're going to have a little chat and then I call you back out.
30:48You can leave the runway.
30:53Okay.
30:54Let's talk about Andy.
30:55You guys loved Andy.
30:57I love the fact that he did pants.
30:59Me too.
31:00You know, for me, Andy grew on me.
31:02When the first thing came out, I was not so sure.
31:04I felt it was over the top.
31:06There was too much going on.
31:07But I just feel that once you look at it and the details and the man has really put so
31:12much effort into it, there's something going on there, which is good.
31:17Let's talk about Mondo.
31:19It's refreshing that he embraces color.
31:22And with all this mishmash, it could go really, really wrong, but he always makes it work.
31:29His high fashion look was so over the top, but it was still working.
31:33And then you look at his ready to wear look, which was really commercial.
31:38Yeah.
31:38It's very commercial because if you put it on, you'd look skinnier.
31:42Oh, yes.
31:43Very slimming.
31:43Such an important point.
31:44And that's a big thing.
31:46Very slimming.
31:47A very, very smart commercial, but still chic dress.
31:51Yeah.
31:53Okay, let's talk about Gretchen.
31:54I like her bohemian flavor.
31:58It was Gretchen just elevated.
32:01I thought the back detailing was gorgeous.
32:04I love the degradé with the feathers, and I loved all the layers of the fabric.
32:09It looked effortless.
32:11And I really, I do think that for a beauty shoot, for the advertorial, the fact that this velvet has
32:18so much richness
32:20would be perfect, would be great.
32:24Let's talk about the designers that we didn't like.
32:27When I look at what happened with Michael, he just kept going and going and going.
32:32I mean, it looked like she was dragging the bolt of fabric behind her.
32:35Yeah, I didn't love that tranny, that.
32:37But I thought that there were a few things in that dress that were actually not so bad.
32:43One could salvage these dresses.
32:45I mean, if one had to, he could retune it, and he could really make them easily better.
32:50Yeah.
32:54Oof.
32:54What about Valerie?
32:56The wedding dress, you cannot salvage.
32:57No.
32:58There's nothing right about this dress.
33:00No.
33:00The fabric truly got away from her.
33:02There's a lot wrong here.
33:04I mean, the fabric is stressed.
33:06This dress is, the black dress is like nothing.
33:08I mean, it's...
33:08There's no idea there.
33:09There's no possibility of executing it well.
33:12And she really has no understanding of fabric at all.
33:16Done.
33:16Sad.
33:20What about Ivy?
33:22This was tragic.
33:23If you look at this gown, it is doing everything bad that a dress could do to a woman's body.
33:30Totally.
33:30And all those asymmetrical lines on the top of the bustier, I mean, it just makes the woman totally wrong.
33:37It just...
33:38And then the same bad neckline twice.
33:41Yeah.
33:41Yeah.
33:42You know what else really worries me about Ivy?
33:44I think she pretty consistently bites off more than she can chew.
33:48Yeah.
33:50What's worse?
33:52Valerie or Ivy?
33:54I say Ivy.
33:55Ivy's worse?
33:56I think Valerie.
33:57I...
33:57Oof.
33:58I, uh...
33:59I think it's an unbelievably tight race for hideous today.
34:05Okay.
34:05Let's bring them back out.
34:14One of you will be named the winner.
34:17And one of you will be out.
34:20Mondo.
34:22Your high fashion look was bold, playful, and interesting.
34:27Your ready-to-wear version was graphic and commercial.
34:31And your signature is really coming through.
34:35Congratulations, Mondo.
34:36You are the winner of this challenge.
34:38Yes.
34:39Really?
34:39And you get $20,000 from L'Oreal.
34:41Thank you so much.
34:44Yay!
34:44I left Colorado with $14 in my bank account.
34:48So I have $20,014 in my bank account now.
34:54Thank you so much.
34:56Your look will also appear in the L'Oreal advertorial.
34:58Wow.
34:59This is a big win.
35:02You can leave the runway.
35:03Thank you so much.
35:12I won!
35:13Yay!
35:15Oh my God, look at your face.
35:16You're so excited.
35:17I'm so happy for you.
35:19Will you buy me a little pony?
35:21Are you, like, tripping out?
35:23You just won $20,000.
35:24I just had it.
35:25Sit down.
35:26I'm so happy for you, Mondo.
35:27Yes.
35:28Good boy.
35:29Totally.
35:30It's amazing.
35:31It really is amazing.
35:33I'm so excited.
35:35You know, like, this is what I came to do.
35:40Oh, man.
35:45Andy.
35:47You're in.
35:48You can leave the runway.
35:53Gretchen.
35:54You're in.
35:55You can leave the runway.
36:06Michael.
36:10You're in.
36:11You can leave the runway.
36:15Thanks.
36:20Valerie.
36:22Ivy.
36:23One of you will be out.
36:29Valerie.
36:31We don't think that you had a clear concept.
36:33From fabric to styling, your choices were unfortunate.
36:40Ivy.
36:42Your blue dress has really disappointed us today.
36:45The color choice was way off.
36:47And your silhouettes were extremely unflattering.
36:52Ivy.
37:00I'm sorry.
37:01You're out.
37:08I'm sorry.
37:08Valerie.
37:17You're in.
37:17You're in.
37:18You can leave the runway.
37:19Thank you very much.
37:20I really appreciate the opportunity.
37:23It's a pleasure to meet you.
37:32I am stunned.
37:34You're safe?
37:35Well...
37:35Are you okay?
37:37I don't think so.
37:40I was prepared to leave.
37:42You know, I really was.
37:43I just felt like she had more faith than I did.
37:46And I felt like it should have been me.
37:49I really did.
37:58Thank you for the opportunity.
38:07And Ivy's going to get lots of love from us.
38:10She will.
38:11Isabella.
38:12Hi.
38:13Hi.
38:15Bye.
38:15No sad faces.
38:17Can't answer this.
38:18I don't even know what to say.
38:20I mean, can't say.
38:20I'm shocked.
38:22I think, if anything, I'm just gonna really miss deciding.
38:27Because I don't think I've ever loved anything else as much as I do.
38:34I'm really gonna miss deciding, but...
38:36But it doesn't stop here, though.
38:38You just want deciding here.
38:42Ivy, um...
38:43I wish I could go home for you.
38:47I really do.
38:54Oh, Jesus.
38:57Ivy, you know what makes me sick, though?
38:59The looks before the judges weren't finished.
39:02Yeah, I know.
39:03They just weren't. And it was very evident to me.
39:06No, total. Same here.
39:07But...
39:08I love you.
39:09Well, I have to send you to the workplace.
39:10Yes, bye, guys.
39:11Bye.
39:11Oh.
39:14I'm gonna miss you.
39:16It sucks because...
39:18I just felt like I still had so much more to show of me, and...
39:21I think I have a lot more creativity than some of the other designers out there.
39:28It really inspired me.
39:29Stay strong and stop complaining so much.
39:32All right, girls.
39:34I will.
39:35I love it so much that I told myself that if I moved to New York, that I would sacrifice
39:42whatever I could just to fulfill my dream.
39:46So, I'm definitely gonna keep on going.
39:49Bye.
39:50Bye.
39:51Bye.
