00:00Morning. A particularly cold one out there this morning, certainly for England and Wales.
00:05Not quite as cold for Scotland and Northern Ireland because there's a bit more cloud that's moved in.
00:10That is providing a mixture of some rain, but also further flurries of snow.
00:14And we have Met Office warnings in place for snow and ice.

00:22For a good part of England and Wales, though, it's a dry, fine, bright start to the day.
00:25Plenty of sunshine around.
00:27But for Scotland, Northern Ireland, increasingly Northern England, some cloud moving in with a little bit of snow.
00:34But certainly through the day, more likely to turn to rain over Northern England and Wales as it pushes through.
00:40But for Northern Scotland, as the winds continue to feed in from the north, staying cold here with further heavy snow possible.
00:47Further south, you'll notice the winds are now coming more in from the west,
00:50which is why we'll be seeing more rain rather than snow for Scotland and Northern England later on.
00:56For the bulk of the Midlands, Eastern England, it's a dry, fine and another cold day with temperatures struggling to get much above two or three.
01:04But for the west, with that wind switching direction, well, we could reach the dizzy heights of seven, perhaps even eight Celsius in the far southwest.
01:12The cold air persists, though, in Northern Scotland, as will the snow continue to come in here for a time through the night.
01:18And this zone of wet weather sinking south across England and Wales will have some snow mixed in with it.
01:24Chiefly, it will be rain at low levels, but you might just wake up to a covering, perhaps over parts of the Midlands in Eastern England first thing on Wednesday morning too.
01:32Won't be as cold as the night just gone, but still getting close to, if not a touch below freezing in many areas.
01:39So still chilly, but just not quite as cold.
01:42That wind, though, blowing tomorrow, more noticeable, so probably feeling colder.
01:46And that wind still coming in from the north, bringing some wintry showers over eastern Scotland, northeast England at times.
01:52Again, close to the coast, mostly those showers will be of rain, but certainly over hills we could see some further flurries.
01:59For many, though, Wednesday's a dry day, some cloud bubbling up through the day, but some good spells of sunshine coming through.
02:05Temperatures, well, similar to today's, 3 to 6 Celsius, but particularly that wind making it feel colder than that.
02:14Now, behind me, there is a weather system gathering, and that weather front will bring some outbreaks of rain in from the west during Wednesday night before fizzling out.
02:23Then, eyes further out to the southwest, as this developing area of low pressure is giving us a few headaches.
02:30Some uncertainty about its exact track, and its exact track is crucial for the type of weather it brings, because it could interact with the colder air, and so has the potential for bringing a bit more snow.
02:40But, as I said, quite a bit of uncertainty at this stage in its track as it arrives through Thursday night and into Friday.
